    One of the important factors for living things and also the weather element is soil moisture. Observations of weather elements have been carried out used according to future needs. Soil moisture has been using to manage weather forecasts, early warning of drought, water resources, and irrigation scheduling. Due to the development of sensors in the electronics world, various digital measuring instruments where is founded to make it easier to measure soil moisture. This article describes the manufacture of a soil moisture meter and the results of the performance specifications of the humidity measurement system with the internet of things-based SHT11 sensor. This instrument uses an SHT11 sensor is used for the humidity sensor and soil temperature, Nodemcu ESP8266 is used as Internet access to transmit to thingspeak, data save in the micro SD memory

    The Development of automatic melinjo puncher machine using pneumatics pressure

    Melinjo chip is one of Indonesia’s facourite food. Melinjo chip is not only marketed in Indonesia, but they have been exported to various countries including Netherlands, United State of America, and Middle East. Mostly melinjo chips are produced in the traditional way by home industry and MSMEs.  The existing machines to produce melinjo chips are not operated fully automatically; hence they still require significant operator involvement. The machine developed in this study uses a pneumatics pressure as power driver. Pneumatics cylinders are used to push the melinjo seeds onto the flattening base, and to move the puncher rod during flattening process. The developed automatic melinjo punching machine has been tested. The tests were carried out to determine the parameters used for programming the machine, sucah as punching time and pneumatic presure, and for checking the capacity of the machine. The test results show that the most effective punching time is 5 seconds at pressure between 5-7 bar. In 5 seconds, the machine can change melinjo seed into chips shape with thickness in between 1,20-1,45 mm. The capacity of the machine in processing melinjo has also been tested. The results showed that this machine can process 528 melinjo into chips shape melinjo per hour

    Improved learning outcomes of CNC programming through Augmented Reality jobsheet learning media

    This study aims to determine: (1) the differences in learning outcomes of students who are taught using Augmented Reality (AR) jobsheet learning media with students taught using conventional learning media, (2) differences in learning outcomes of highly motivated students and low motivated students, and (3) the interaction between Project Based Learning learning methods and learning motivation in influencing learning outcomes. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a population of 64 people, the sample was taken as many as 32 people using the cluster random sampling method. Data were collected using a questionnaire for learning motivation and tests for learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and two-way analysis of variance (Two Ways Anova). The research results found: 1) there are differences in student learning outcomes taught by the Project Based Learning learning method compared to student learning outcomes taught conventionally with Fcount of 7.98 (2) there are differences in learning outcomes of highly motivated students with low motivated students with Fcount 34.40, and (3) there is no learning interaction between learning methods and learning motivation in influencing student learning outcomes with Fcount 3.1

    The Arduino Uno-based three-wheeled motorcycle engine starting system aims to make it easier for motorcycle users to turn on and add motorcycle safety features from theft. The contact system and the starter system are controlled through the device. The research method used the development research model developed by Dick and Carey. The development research stages are defined, design, develop, and disseminate. The components needed are a battery, Arduino, Bluetooth, and two relays. The device controls this system through an android application developed by the researcher. The results of testing the engine start system using an Android smartphone are a series of techniques that can work by its function, and a Bluetooth connection on an Android smartphone can turn on the motorcycle engine start system at a distance of 1 to 9 meters.     Research-based on data on the low student learning outcomes. Internal and external factors cause little learning outcomes. Previous research has concluded that valid and practical E-learning media will streamline the learning process. Research focuses on one of the external factors that cause low learning outcomes. E-learning media is an external factor that is the focus of research. This study aims to analyze the E-learning media on learning outcomes. The analysis results will provide an overview of E-learning media's influence on improving learning outcomes. The increase in learning outcomes in the form of post-test scores on E-learning media is carried out. This research is an experimental study with a randomized control-group post-test only design, where the research subjects were students majoring in automotive engineering. Samples were taken randomly using data collection in data test for student learning outcomes in the Automotive Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, UNP. The collected learning outcome test data were analyzed according to the data analysis process, and the results were tested to examine E-learning media's effect on improving student learning outcomes. The test results showed an increase in learning outcomes by 25.33%. The research concludes that E-learning media has no significant impact on learning outcomes.Research-based on data on the low student learning outcomes.     A diploma is a document of recognition of learning achievement from a level of education obtained after completing the study period after passing the final exam. The importance of the certificates' existence for working purposes has resulted in the proliferation of making and using fake certificates for various purposes such as applying for jobs, fulfilling the requirements to become members of the legislature, etc. The Diploma Information System using blockchain-based distributed computing can be one way to maintain the diploma's authenticity and validity.     Development of boost converter training kit as a practical tool in power electronics course

    In the power electronics learning process, apart from theory, it is also necessary to carry out practicum learning to improve the competence of students, so that the learning process runs well, learning is held in the laboratory using a training kit. Practical training kit is very important in the educational process, especially at the level of vocational education at the diploma level. Its existence is very much needed to improve the competence of students and make it easier for teaching staff to carry out the teaching and learning process, especially for practicum activities. The aim of this research is to produce a boost converter practicum training kit, where the parameters are close to the values ​​calculated in theory and simulation. The method used is the experimental method in which the boost converter theory study is designed, made and tested. The test results show that the value of voltage, current and output power shows an average error presentation of less than 10% and the efficiency of the Boost Converter an average of 74% - 95%. The boost converter training kit can be produced well, so that it can be used as a support in power electronics practicum, especially on DC - DC Converter material.Dalam proses pembelajaran elektronika daya, selain teori juga perlunya melaksanakan pembelajaran praktikum untuk meningkatkan kompetensi peserta didik, agar proses pembelajaran berjalan dengan baik, maka diadakan pembelajaran di laboratorium menggunakan training kit. Training kit praktikum sangat penting dalam proses pendidikan, terlabih pada tingkatan pendidikan vokasi pada jenjang diploma. Keberadaannya sangat dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi peserta didik serta memudahkan tenaga pengajar dalam melakukan proses belajar mengajar khususnya untuk kegiatan praktikum. Tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan sebuah training kit praktikum boost converter, dimana parameter-parameter mendekati nilai yang dihitung secara teori dan simulasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan metode experimental dimana dari kajian teori boost converter ini dirancang, dibuat dan diuji. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan nilai tegangan, arus dan daya keluaran menujukan presentasi kesalahan rata-rata kurang dari 10% serta efisiensi Boost Converter rata – rata 74% - 95%. Training kit boost converter dapat diproduksi dengan baik, sehingga bisa digunakan sebagai pendukung dalam praktikum elektronika daya terutama pada materi DC – DC Converter

    Improvement of autonomous railway monitoring robot prototype as fault detection on railway

    One of the causes of accidents on trains to date has been caused by damage of railways such as cracked rails, broken rails and other rail defects. Currently, the inspection of the railway line is still carried out manually by the railway inspection officer or Petugas Penilik Jalan Rel (PPJ). However, there is a prototype Autonomous Railways Monitoring Robot (ARMR) which is a prototype inspection robot that can perform rail line checks automatically and be monitored remotely to detect any faults on the railway. The ARMR prototype detects faults as well as locations that are subsequently delivered to users by utilizing some Internet of Things (IoT) features. Faults detected by ARMR prototypes are faults as rail damage. But, the ARMR prototype is unable to distinguish a fault and rail connection. This final task aims to improve armr prototype capabilities to produce information in the form of depth and width of faults, and to distinguish faults and rail connections. The VL6180X sensor is a laser- based distance sensor used as a depth detector for rail faults and rail connections. The Incremental Encoder is enabled to measure the width of the rail fault. The result of ten experiments at 20 cm/s, the ARMR prototype was able to produce 78 mm fault depth size information with an error value of 1,67%, produce 5 mm wide fault width information with an error value of 2,48 % and be able to distinguish faults and connections with 72 % accuracy for the comparison of the distance between the ARMR prototype and the distance shown on google maps.One of the causes of accidents on trains to date has been caused by damage of railways such as cracked rails, broken rails and other rail defects. To overcome this weakness, a camera is used that will capture the shape of the fault or rail connection. The results of the experiment at a speed of 20 cm / s, the robot is able to detect the width of the rail fault of 78 mm with an error value of 1.67%, and a fault width of 5 mm with an error value of 2.48%. The robot also able to distinguish faults and connections with 72 % accuracy for the comparison of the distance between the ARMR prototype and the distance shown on google maps

    Organization goals could be achieved by translating vision and mission into strategy. The strategy should be carefully formulated to direct the operation plans to work in harmony to achieve the goal. This research aims to show how the strategy is formulated based on the performance measurement result. The performance indicators are generated using the Balanced Scorecard approach with its four perspectives; financial, customer, internal business process, and learning and growth. Once these indicators and their benchmarks are defined, performance measurement is carried out. The performance measurement result is then input into a Strength-Weakness-Opportunity-Threat (SWOT) matrix. This approach proved that it could help the company review its existing strategy achievements and competitive position. Furthermore, the SWOT analysis proposes some potential actions taken by the company, which fall on Offensive, Defensive, Adjust, and Survive strategies

Ecotourism is an approach to tourism development that seeks to ensure environmental preservation and keep the natural conditions around tourist destinations. Taman Hutan Raya Bung Hatta (The Bung Hatta Grand Forest Park) is a potential area to be developed into more valuable with more quality in ecotourism. However, the problem is that this site lacks attractiveness and regulations regarding environmental conservation and natural resources of flora and fauna as a valuable attraction in Bung Hatta Grand Forest Park. This study aims to assess the potential development of Taman Hutan Raya Bung Hatta in developing its attractiveness as ecotourism based on green tourism. The analysis in this study uses an observational approach and a deductive-descriptive method. The analyzes done in this research are an analysis of the physical condition of the Bung Hatta Grand Forest Park, an analysis of the attractiveness of the Bung Hatta Grand Forest Park, an analysis of the facilities and infrastructure of the Bung Hatta Grand Forest Park, an analysis of the Potential and Problems of the Bung Hatta Grand Forest Park. Those analyses are carried out with the concept of green-based ecotourism. The assessment of Bung Hatta Grand Forest Park attractiveness potential is from the potential for developing a natural museum, developing a natural laboratory as a means of education, providing a trekking area as an effort to integrate with nature and camping in the natural area of ​​the Bung Hatta Grand Forest without destroying nature.
