    LINKING COMMUNICATION PRACTICE TO THE IDENTITY NEGOTIATION THEORY

    The reclamation case of Benoa Bay, Bali, involves businessmen and cultural observers who want reclamation against residents, artists, cultural observers, and environmentalists who reject reclamation. The fact that there are economic, cultural, and environmental debates between the two sides, in this case, shows that a win-win solution could be achieved. Even so, the end of this case is a zero-sum game, where the party who rejects the reclamation wins the conflict. The future of Benoa Bay is still uncertain because the threat of reclamation always exists. This study applies identity negotiation theory as a cross-cultural communication instrument that can produce win-win solutions. The analysis was carried out on communication events that were documented in the course of the Benoa Bay reclamation case. The results show that the communication problems that occur in the Benoa Bay reclamation case can be resolved using the identity negotiation theory approach. Specifically, it was shown that the Benoa Bay reclamation case occurred multi-level in the socio-historical system of the Balinese and Indonesian people, that this conflict contained elements of moral conflict, that each party had a collection of multifaceted identities, respectful dialogue supported by an open and listening attitude did not occur. the frame that is built is bipolar, and inclusive pluralism does not work. Some recommendations were formulated to lead to a win-win situation in such cases. &nbsp

    STRENGTHENING BUSINESS CONTRACTS AND FOOD LABELING REGULATIONS IN SMALL AND MICRO BUSINESS IN SOUTH JAKARTA

    Business success is determined by one of them is legal protection for business. One form of legal protection is the creation of work contracts for all Cooperation with partners. The right employment contract will keep both parties mutually beneficial so that they can develop their business. In addition, businesses cannot develop if producers, especially food producers, do not have communicative labels, labels that can explain the condition of the products. For this reason, this training was held to strengthen MSMEs in making business contracts and making food labels that meet regulations and attract consumers. The training is carried out online with the media zoom meeting. The training was conducted using lecture, discussion, and video screening methods. The activity partners are MSMEs under the guidance of the Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, South Jakarta Administration. This training was attended by 174 small and micro entrepreneurs enthusiastically. The results of the evaluation showed that there was an increasing in knowledge in the both of trainings, in which the average score of business contract strengthening training was from 65,28 to 70,83  and for food labeling training from 62.73 to 75.31

    COMMUNITY SERVICE THROUGH FACILITATION OF PARAGLIDING TOURISM CHSE GUIDELINES TRAINING

    Paragliding tourism is a breathtaking form of air adventure that impacted from Covid-19 pandemic as the activities is highly in human touch particularly tandem flight. There is a significant need for applying CHSE in each element of paragliding tourism. Thus, it is the purpose of this community service to facilitate and socialize the CHSE for paragliding tourism in flying site at Puncak Bogor West Java. 50 participants for stakeholder of paragliding tourism were participated in-class training for 4 hours and continued with out-class simulation out-door for 6 hours and wrapped up with paragliding flight for 1 hour. The result of training was monitored using checklist (see table below) of paragliding tourism CHSE. The list consists of criteria, indicators, and proven evidence.  General conduct due to Covid-19 pandemic was socialized while the flow of service in nine area of paragliding flying sites were exercised in the field. It is expected that implementation of paragliding tourism CHSE manual could minimize the risks of transmission and each step-in service flow is constructed to avoid the impact of the pandemic. By practicing the manual, it is an encouragement for the stakeholder in paragliding tourism to rejuvenate and prepare to be visited with new tourist who more conscious with safety and health issues during their holiday.     FURNITURE MAKING TRAINING AS CREATIVE INTERIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT IN TIRTOMOYO VILLAGE MALANG

    Funitur as a complement to the interior becomes a commodity business that promise today. Currently, almost half the Tirtomoyo village transformed into a new residential complex. Changing agricultural land into residential land makes residents who previously livelihood as farmers begin to lose their jobs. Social and economic inequality becomes a new problem for the surrounding community and migrants, if there is no cooperation between several parties to solve the problem. The target of this activity is youth groups in Tirtomoyo Village. This research method uses qualitative and experimental methods. Furnitur making training for youth groups aims to encourage the emergence of creative entrepreneurs in Tirtomoyo Village. The training activities that have been carried out are making furniture from pallets and multiplex with HPL finishing. Activities carried out by the delivery of theoretical material, direct training and mentoring the development of furniture products. Outcomes of this activities such as product shelves and desk furniture. From these training activities, participants were able to produce furniture products made of pallet wood that were more diverse than those made of multiplex with HPL finishing

    This activity has the purpose to provide knowledge, understanding and practices for entrepreneurs to collect and analyses business activity data using check sheets. Participants in this activity are entrepreneurs and stakeholders of small and medium industry (SMI) in the Meruya Selatan Village, Kembangan District, West Jakarta. The method of activities to be used in training activities and implementation of check sheet are online lecture, discussion, and question and answer, online questionnaire (pre-test and posttest), and practice. Participation and seriousness of the participants is good enough. Result of this training is entrepreneurs and stakeholders feel satisfied and get practical knowledge about using check sheet on data management of business activities. &nbsp

Humankind is gifted with brain to think, the act of thinking is basically the act of asking, the act of asking is searching for the answers, and searching for the answers is the root of looking for the truth. If we explore and discover these unique potentials of humankind, then we will know the tasks that we need to carry out in our lives to the best of our capabilities. The best of humankind is the ones that benefits others. This Community Service Activity (PKM) carries the main theme of “Preparing Millennials to Excel and Innovate” with a sub-theme: “Discovering Self Strength, Building Entrepreneurial Spirit among Senior High School Students” at Kembangan Subdistrict – West Jakarta. This PKM is a suitable and important programme for the senior high school students to prepare themselves for graduation, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic. The students are provided with new knowledge, mission- visions, as well as mentoring in finding their potentials and strengths, finding paths and ways to success, and understanding about their talents, knowledge, and skills, which will lead to potentials and strengths. It is hope that the students can optimize their strengths and prepare themselves with future challenges:whether to further their studies to higher level, or working with organizations or to become entrepreneurs, or another option is to be part-time students in college while working or being entrepreneurs. All potentials including the entrepreneurial spirit based on creativity need to be grown and nourish among students from now on. “Meeting & Greeting - Sharing & Knowing- Networking” is essential to be prepared among students. Other knowledge in entrepreneurship also needs to be acknowledged and learnt by students, such as accounting and financial governance to help millennial entrepreneurs in managing financial information

    Today's development refers to community-based development. That is, the community as the subject of development or community empowerment, namely community development that focuses on community participation. Community contribution in development can be done through entrepreneurship. Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) is a community organization that empowers women to participate in development in their environment. Through this organization, it is hoped that their participation in the development of Depok City. The PKK group Rt.004/02, Depok Jaya Village, Pancoran Mas Subdistrict, Depok City - West Java as activity partners are still active in carrying out PKK activities in their environment. Identification of partner problems, namely the lack of business knowledge and the type of business that is in accordance with the situation and environment so that the existing funds are beneficial for all members. Thus, it is necessary to carry out outreach activities with the aim of increasing knowledge and understanding of community empowerment and entrepreneurship as well as being able to carry out entrepreneurial activities. With counseling and participatory methods as well as discussions, it is hoped that we can find a common solution. The results of the activity showed good criteria, namely the presence of some of the members even though they were still in a COVID-19 pandemic situation. The results of the counseling, members can increase their knowledge and understanding by an average of 31.25 percent. The discussion also went smoothly and well because the socialization participants were actively asking questions. Discussion agreement, utilizing funds by running basic food business activities to meet the needs of all members. The payment is made every month when the community gathering is done. The next meeting discussed a business implementation plan that resulted in an agreement on management, workflow, business mechanism (capital, profit margin, ordering, payment), and what types of basic necessities could be provided

    Many media develop and in the end make people not only as spectators or consumers of information but also as producers of information. Information technology is currently developing rapidly, quickly, easily, and very sophisticatedly, so that it becomes a necessity and lifestyle for the world community without exception, people in Indonesia are also affected by the development of information technology at this time. One aspect of technological development is the emergence of many social media sites such as Google or Mozilla Firefox and others, but the most popular among social media users include Facebook. The development of social media such as Facebook not only has a positive impact, but also has a negative impact, resulting in various types of violations and even crimes. Acts or crimes what needs serious attention is the crime of hate speech. Hate speech can be control by media literacy because its perspective that is used actively, when individuals access the media with the aim of interpreting the messages conveyed by the media. It is related to understanding the impact of communication, from advertising, ideas, to technology. By doing the media literacy, uses the media literacy approach as an effort to fight hate messages, through citizenship education and digital citizenship. One of its main objectives is to raise awareness about the political, social and cultural rights of individuals and groups, including freedom of speech and the responsibilities and social implications that arise.&nbsp

    IMPROVING PLASTIC WASTE SKILLS IN THE UPCYCLED PROGRAM

    The amount of plastic waste production is increasing due to many foods and beverages packed using plastic. Plastic waste is classified as a difficult to decompose material, so it is necessary to process plastic waste skills to have good value and benefits. This kind of upcycled program is expected to reduce plastic waste, and its processed products can be beneficial for improving the community's economy. This program is upcycled given to children at Yayasan Langkah Kecil Indonesia, Banten. This training assistance aims to realize the community's active role in processing waste into beneficial results and selling value to be used as an entrepreneurial provision. In addition, handicraft skills by making plastic works are expected to improve the understanding and mastery of participants. The implementation method used in this training is participatory, namely the involvement of members in making decisions, including planning. The training activity is grouped by the age of participants, ranging from elementary school-age children to middle school. The facilitator will accompany during the training process, from giving instructions and directions to working tutorials. Upcycled activities in this activity focus on plastic waste, especially plastic packaging beverage waste. Plastic beverage bottles will be processed into another product that provides benefits and good value, such as a pencil case or a ballpoint stand

    This study aims to determine the use of Tokopedia features as a promotional media for PT. Saafir Prisma Indonesia. The research method used by the author is a case study. Case studies are classified as descriptive analytical research, namely research conducted centered on a particular case to be observed and analyzed carefully. The conclusions that can be drawn in this study are related to how to use the Tokopedia feature for promotional media at PT. Saafir Prisma Indonesia is that after finding out about the features and benefits it can be concluded that all features benefit the seller, and PT. Saafir Prisma Indonesia is greatly helped by the Tokopedia features, although not all features are utilized because they see the company's needs. One of the features that PT. Saafir Prisma Indonesia is a "TopAds" feature because this feature can help in terms of promotion and sales so that the products sold are known by Tokopedia users
