ENHANCING THE CREATIVITY OF CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS

From the moment a child is born, creativity should be fostered and strengthened. Children and teenagers live in a creative world where they need room to move, think, and get emotional guidance. Engaging in reading activities is one approach to increase creativity. As compared to other nations, Indonesians still show a very low level of interest in reading books. According to UNESCO data, the nation has the second-lowest literacy rate in the world. Indonesia is ranked 60th out of 61 countries in terms of interest in reading books. Relevant parties should move quickly to facilitate and investigate the source of the public's loss of interest in reading. One strategy to promote creativity and a love of reading among the younger population—especially children—is to establish children's libraries. After a community development project came to an end on June 6, 2024, the children of the Hafidhin Royan Orphanage in South Jakarta City gained access to a small library called as "Pojok Pustaka." Reading bookshelves have been placed in kid-friendly areas to complete the service project.  The orphanage children said they were happy to read the many picture books Pojok Pustaka had given them when asked about their feelings. The number of books at the Pojok Pustaka has been gradually increased in an attempt to keep kids from getting bored and to make sure they always have new selections when they come to read

FOOD POISONING PREVENTION EFFORTS THROUGH FOOD SAFETY SOCIALIZATION FOR THE WOMEN'S GROUP OF PKK RW 013 JAKAMULYA, SOUTH BEKASI

A Microbiological hazards are associated with cases of food poisoning, with the most recent outbreak reported in 2023 in the Bantar Gebang area of South Bekasi, where two people died. Other food safety hazards include physical and chemical hazards. Food safety is often overlooked by PKK members, even though mothers are typically responsible for managing household food. The selection of food ingredients becomes increasingly difficult with the growing availability of unsafe food products. Additionally, there are issues with food handling and processing. The partner for this Community Service Program (PKM) is the PKK group of RW 013, Jakamulya, South Bekasi. The problem identified among the partners is a gap in their in-depth knowledge of household food safety, despite their role as household food managers. The proposed solution is to conduct a household food safety awareness program. The proposed activities include, first, a situation analysis; second, planning; third, socialization of household food safety; and fourth, evaluation. The results of the awareness program indicate a 42% increase in knowledge. A 0.9% improvement in positive attitudes towards household food safety was also observed. Participants expressed that the activities were beneficial for mothers in their roles as household food managers

This research aims to analyze the organizational change strategy at Ragunan Wildlife Park for successfully implementing information technology, using Leavitt's Diamond model. The study employs a qualitative approach and a case study method, guided by a constructivist research paradigm and purposive sampling. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews and analyzed qualitatively using the filling system method. The findings reveal that change management at Ragunan Wildlife Park, guided by the Leavitt model, demonstrates that the implementation of information technology has led to technological changes that impact personnel. Employees are now required to develop competencies in technology use, which has altered job responsibilities and influenced the organizational structure. This change management is backed by top management to ensure the successful implementation of information systems. However, Leavitt's model does not address the role of the external environment in influencing changes in any of the variables. It is recommended to include the external environment's role to align change management with community needs

Bacteria in the formation of dental caries are affected by saliva and its pH level occupy an important place. Another promiscuous consequence of low salivary pH is dental caries, an increase in the pH can ideally be produced by gargling. Because mouthwash now contains natural substances, rooibos tea or Aspalathus linearis, is one of the most preferred mouthwash. Aspalathus linearis is caffeine free, is low in tannins, is fortified with antioxidants besides having fluoride content in it; and has E6CG which may promote enhanced flow of saliva leading to raised saliva pH level. This research aimed to examine the effect of gargling Aspalathus linearis on salivary pH changes. An experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed with two treatments: The two are Aspalathus linearis and aquades (distilled water). Paired Sample T-Test and Independent T-Test were used for data analysis. The study found that rinsing with Aspalathus linearis resulted in a significant increase in salivary pH levels, indicating its potential in promoting a less acidic oral environment. However, when compared to rinsing with aquades. This suggests that while rooibos tea can positively influence salivary pH, its effectiveness may not differ significantly from that of plain water in this context
