List and Commentary of Japanese who Traveled to the U.S. at the Beginning of the Meiji Era, in the Year of 1870, Part1 : Leaving Yokohama from January to June
Get PDF幕末維新期に渡米した日本人の渡航記録と関連情報をまとめている。今回は1870年1月―6月に横浜を出航し，約3週間後，サンフランシスコに上陸した日本人に関する一次情報を採り上げ若干の考察を加えた。
主な渡航者は，岩倉具視の子息，具定と具経，とその随行者3人の計5人の一行と，米国人ユージン・ヴァン・リードが渡米を斡旋したと思われる，旧幕臣3人と旧桑名藩士2人，その他3人の計8人の一行である。
岩倉子息一行は，長崎で英語ネイティブ話者に英語の指導を受けていたため，3人は渡米後1年，或いは2年で米国の大学に入学し，うち2人は大学を卒業し帰国した。また1人は米国から渡英し，英国の大学に入学した。
ヴァン・リードが斡旋した8人は，戊辰戦争絡みで日本にいられなくなり，僅かな手持ちの金で日本を脱出した。サンフランシスコなど西海岸で，学費と生活費を稼ぎながら勉強した。背水の陣が奏功したのか，旧幕臣の3人は渡米後2年目に大学に入学し，4年で卒業した。桑名藩出身者の2人も，渡米後2年目に，大学，ビジネス専門学校に入学した。
幕末維新期の日本人米国留学生は，全般的に，渡米後はグラマー・スクールや私立アカデミーで英語のイロハを学び，大学入学に至らずに帰国するケースが多いが，この2グループの日本人は，大学入学率が高い。
どちらのグループも，まだ不明な点が多く，キリスト教との関わり等，興味深い点も多い。今後も調査・研究を続け，次稿では7月以降の船便を扱いたい。departmental bulletin pape
User interface proposal for the visually weak person in apps
Get PDFThis study defines elderly people suffering from presbyopia, cataracts or people who feel visually uncomfortable using smartphone's apps, such as people with color vision deficiency, are defined as "the visually weak person in Apps" and the purpose is to create and evaluate a user interface (UI) that is easy to recognize even for “the visually weak person in Apps". The UI produced is called Initial Customization Function (ICF), and when the app is first run, a user sets the combination of background color, text, button size, theme color and accent color in order. In the experiment, the settings selected by the subjects were applied to the app and used. There were 27 subjects, including college students and the elderly people, and all subjects, except for the elderly, were similarly experimented as people with color vision deficiency by wearing Dichromatism Simulation Glasses. It was found that the ICF proposed in this study is effective for people with color vision deficiency in that the experimental results with ICF were completed in about 21% shorter time than the experimental results without ICF in color vision deficiency.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFコロナ禍を経て、教育の質がより一層問われるなかで、以前と異なり今後の実習指導には何が求められるのかを、オンライン授業で得られた知見をもとに検討した。オンライン授業には同時双方向型とオンデマンド型の２つがあるが、コロナ後の新たな対面授業にも取り込める要素が多いのはオンデマンド型であることが先行研究による報告だけでなく受講者の授業後のアンケート結果からも明確となった。これらの知見を踏まえ、コロナ後の新たな対面授業では、受講者が他者との協働による経験をとおして自身のもつ知識を上書きするような授業運営が求められ、そのベースとなる知識を修得する仕掛けとしてオンデマンド教材が重要な役割を担うと考えられる。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF「発声」という語の意味・用法について，辞書や，コーパスやデータベースを含む文献資料によって調べ，（a）「発音」との対比，（b）中国語との対照を行った。その結果，次のことがわかった。（a-1）本来，「発音」と「発声」とは，ともに，広く「音を出すこと」を表していた。（a-2）使用場面が限定される用法として，古くから，「発音」には「法会において，声明を唱え始めること」を表す用法があり，「発声」には「歌会において，歌をよみあげること」を表す用法がある。（a-3）現代の専門的な意味として，「発音」には「言語の音声を生成すること」，「発声」には「音源を生成すること」の意味がある。（b-1）「発声」は，中国語起源の語であり，本来の「音を出すこと」という意味は共通するが，両言語に独自の用法が見られる。（b-2）「発声」の現代における専門的な意味である，「音源を生成すること」や「発声法」は，日本語から中国語へ伝わったもののようである。departmental bulletin pape
The Current Status of Free Internet Translation from the Perspective of Chinese Writing Ability : A Sample of Irregular Extensions Based on SVO Word Order
Get PDF現在無料の機械翻訳（無料翻訳）の普及により，誰でも手軽に中国語の文を算出できる環境にある。筆者は受講生から提出された作文課題をきっかけに，機械翻訳の現状に興味を抱いた。その中でも，本稿は特に無料翻訳の課題代替力となり得る弊害に注目した。考察範囲として，SVO語順を基礎とした不規則的な拡張がなされた構文を枠組に設定した。これらの多くは中国語独特の語順特徴を表すものであり，習得上の難点ともなり得る。
無料翻訳のサンプルとしてはMicrosoft Bing，Excite，Google，Weblio，DeepLの5種を用いた。これらの中から解答例や習得目標とする構文（「目標構文」）と最も合致度の高いものを抽出し，その精度を分析した。考察の結果，（1）目標構文全体の合致度を見ると，無料翻訳は課題代替力を有している，というレベルには達していない。（2）合致度の高い例は一定の構文内に集中する。（3）訳出対応力の高いものには学習者によく見られる誤用を補うものも見られる。（4）目標構文との合致度と構文的特徴には一定の相関性が見出される。（5）目標構文と合致しないタイプの多くは必須成分の欠如にある，という傾向性が見出せた。総じて「現時点無料翻訳は課題代替力と言えるほどの性能は有していない。その面では大きく危惧するほどの状況にまでは至っていない。但し，随所にその片鱗を見せている。完全に楽観視できるというものではない」という初歩的な見解に至った。departmental bulletin pape
English Encounter with Italy in the Age of Edward VI
Get PDFエリザベス朝のイタリア積極受容は英文学に大きな影響を与えた。本論はそれ以前のエドワード六世時代に，イタリア本が28版も出版されていたことを示す。今まで考えられていた以上にイタリアの影響はあった。その最大の特徴は，プロテスタンティズムとの強い結びつきである。エリザベス朝以前に無意識及び意識的受容があったことは，この時代がイタリア文化と無関係ではなかった証明だ。これらはエリザベス朝の，より明確な意識的受容の下地となった。そして，この時代に出版されたジョン・ポーネットの『カテキズム』のイタリア語版は，意識的発信であった。
この時代の英国のエネルギーは，イタリア要素の無意識的受容を助けつつプロテスタント振興という形で国内に向けられていた。そのエネルギーが自我の目覚めと結びつき，プロテスタンティズムを急速に成熟させた。その成熟を外部へ発信したのがこの1冊である。これは後進国英国の自己主張である。その矛先が，ルネサンスの花開いたイタリアであったことは着目に値する。国民レヴェルでは無意識的受容が大勢を占めており，一見，無意識にイタリア要素を吸収していたのみに見える。しかしイタリア語の『カテキズモ』の存在は，英国がイタリアを交流の相手とし，自らの意志でイタリアに接近しようとしていたことを示す。イタリアへの発信の書はたった1冊であるが，英国が既にイタリアに関心を持っていた貴重な証拠である。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFComo parte del trabajo de campo, hacemos una presentación musical transcribiendo las melodías de las catorce versions cantadas del más popular romance “El Conde Niño” recopiladas en el sitio web Riojarchivo recogidas de pueblos de La Rioja, España. Comentamos también sus letras junto con otras dos versions no cantadas también ahí recogidas.
Previamente enumeramos otras versions publicadas de otros autores, unas con pauta musical y otras sin ella. Hacemos un análisis musical y comentamos el porqué, dentro de la variedad, se dan parecidos melódicos entre algunas de esas versiones. Vislumbramos que hay influencias melódicas entre ellas, de otras versions de lejanas regions de la Península Ibérica y de canciones populares.
Apreciamos diferencias en la letra entre las diferentes versions del romance y que se cortan palabras o aparecen formas regionals en la dicción con el fin de acomodar los versos al octosílabo que caracteriza al romance. Algunas letras carecen de los versos de cabeza y otras se ven truncadas en la parte final o con diferentes terminaciones.
Como estudio etnomusicológico de un repertorio particular, centrado en la region riojana española, nos ayuda a percibir de manera visual las diferentes melodías recogidas y el cómo se han originado estas versions del más veces interpretado romance, “El Conde Niño”. Estudio que nos da pautas para comprender los rasgos antropológicos, del folklore y la cultura, la forma de hablar y comunicarse y la idiosincrasia de los oriundos y habitants de esta región.departmental bulletin pape
