PRIBADI SEHAT: PERSPEKTIF KONSELING DAN ALQURAN
In psychological point of view, whatever occurs in an adult is influenced by his or her life condition in his or her adulthood, particularly in the first years of his or her age. The offspring and milieu give a major influence to the formation of attitude and of behavior of a child. A child’s personality will be positive whenever he is in a healthful family and social milieu. It is the two that form the healthful personality of the child. The healthful personality, in psychological point of view, is one that can manage himself, others and his milieu. JIHAD DALAM PERSPEKTIF HADIS
Jihâd is one of the Islamic main terms which is frequently misunderstood by the group of non Muslims. They tend to perceive jihâd as a holy war against the disbelievers. Based on this, to them, jihâd is identical to violence. The question is wither Islam truly a religion of violence?, or it is only a misunderstanding towards jihâd in Islam. It is true that the term jihâd possesses a significant position among the Muslims that many of them  devote themselves to God by jihâd. SEKULARISASI DAN ISLAMISASI ILMU PENGETAHUAN
Discourse on islamization of knowledge essentially emerges from the serious concern to the failure of modern sciences to “give welfare to humanityâ€. The basic problem is rooted in the philosophical framework behind modern sciences that science is free-value in that science is purely for science itself regardless of its impacts to humanity and environment. This in turn paves a way to sciences to go further without any impediment, or even without any purpose except for science itself. As a result, nature and humanity are exploited on behalf of science. Therefore, it is necessary to restore science into its proper position. Islam as a religion, which gives serious concern to knowledge and science, has views of knowledge and sciences which are different from a secular concept of science. PENANGGALAN BUGIS-MAKASSAR DALAM PENENTUAN AWAL BULAN KAMARIAH MENURUT SYARI’AH DAN SAINS
The Bugisi and the Makassarese are two great ethnics living in South Sulawesi. The Bugisi and the Makassarese are two different ethnics, but they have similar culture, particularly in the sight of the written language. The two ethnics employ lontara alphabets in preaching religion, engaging commerse, doing farming, and calculating time  (date calculation) called pananrang (guide to all daily activities). FIKIH EKOLOGI DAN KEARIFAN TRADISIONAL: TINJAUAN TERHADAP KONSEP IHYÂ AL-MAWÂT DAN HIIMÂ
This paper deals with the concepts related to the protection and preservation of ecology. It is argued that the Islamic concern to this issue is significantly great. It is proven by the existence of ihyâ al-mawât (revival of dead land) and himâ (conservation area), which give serious concern to the protection of land. Both concepts indicate that such malicious acts to lands are seriously prohibited. Otherwise, acts to cultivate lands are necessarily encouraged. MUHAMMAD IBN ‘ABD AL-WAHHÂB DAN GERAKAN WAHABI
In the Islamic world, in the middle age, the ideas on reformation and the efforts of purification of akîdah had emerged. This was a reaction against the extant political condition and tauhid comprehension of Muslims. In Arab, a chief figure, Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhâb who possessed a great concern towards the matter of akîdah purification of Muslims and Islamic reformation, emerged. The efforts of al-Wahhâb finally developed into a movement called the Wahabiyyah Movement. The main target of this movement was to purify Muslims’ akîdah that had been mixed with heretics. ABORSI DALAM PERSPEKTIF HUKUM ISLAM (SUATU ANALISIS DENGAN PENDEKATAN FIQH AL-MUQÂRIN)
Abortion is one of the contemporary law problems frequently debated. In Indonesia, abortion is not only a law problem but also a moral problem. Posing abortion within the law and moral perspective bocomes important since it is related to the law dealing with the termination of a child’s right to life. This article deals with the status of abortion within the Islamic law and moral perspective, employing the method of fiqh al-muqârin (comparative fiqh), that is by comparing and conforming the ikhtilâf of abortion amongst the jurists (fuqahâ’). After analyzing the jurists’ opinions of abortion, the writer found that since sperms and ovums come together and pertlization occurs, abortion is judged as a crime, and therefore the law status of which is proscribed.Kata Kunci:  aborsi, hukum Islam, mora
DAKWAH: SUATU PENDEKATAN KULTURAL
Inviting people to perform the good deeds is one of the Islamic core teachings. For this reason, a da’wah should be delivered by employing a proper approach. In other words, a dâ’i should notice the social and cultural condition of the people as the target of his da’wah. Within this context, one of the approaches that can be employed in delivering a da’wah is cultural approach. Employing this kind of approach, a dâ’i will be able to promote the Islamic teaching as a social and cultural need of the Muslims. This paper deals with Abou El Fadl’s hermeneutical-authoritative concept. The hermeneutical athouritative emerges as an anti-thesis to all authoritative-interpretative concepts in Islamic thought. The authoritative- interpretative concept established on God’s name interpretation. KONSEP EPISTEMOLOGI IBN HAZM
Ibn Hazm is one of Muslim thinkers who is famous for his philosophical thoughts. One of his philosophical thoughts is concerned with epistemology of science. In his view, the truth of science can be obtained through reason and senses. Senses can comprehend the real objects while reason comprehend the abstract ones. He asserts, however, that reason faculty is higher than sense faculty since the later usually makes mistakes in understanding an object.
