In the face of a long-time experience in the training of secondary school teachers of foreign languages and cultures and starting from a philosophical-educational analysis on relationship, the author highlights the centrality of the three forms of educational-formative relational agency needed by secondary school teachers. In general, it is a matter of promoting the awareness, in the work of the teacher, of the sense and horizons of an intentionally formative agency. In particular, it is a question of moving from a still spontaneous and/or scientifically naive idea of educational relation to the pedagogical knowledge of intersubjectivity with pre-teens and teenagers; from a split between educational needs of students and learning, to the educational typicality of contents; from an empirical-descriptive view of the institutional task to the rework of professional action. Thus, both the reasons for the strictly pedagogical training of secondary school teachers and the supporting structures of an educational-formative agency correlated but not coincident with the didactic work take shape.

The decree 172 (12/4/2020) has accelerated docimological and didactic innovation in primary schools. The shift away from grade evaluation toward descriptive assessment, formative feedback and self-evaluation implies an active, competence-based didactic, clear in its observation tools. To walk this path effectively, teachers and trainers need to tackle complex processes. Different vision of children and learning, assessment and evaluation, connections between learning objectives, planned activities and evidence gathering are all ingredients of this complex picture. This article presents a case-study, which analyzes and reflects on this complexity to structure research-training modules for in-service teachers. It focuses on design and assessment of activities. Final aim is defining difficulties, limits and potentialities provided by the decree to design meaningful training modules for the schools.L’ordinanza 172 (4/12/2020) ha imposto un’accelerazione ai processi di innovazione, docimologica e didattica, già in atto nella scuola primaria.

The rapid and pervasive change, characterizing the current times, places school systems in front of new challenges and obliges them to deal with new paradigms. The gaze and the pedagogical study appear even more relevant in these times of great social, relational, cultural and economic transformations. Assets of the speech focused in the following essay are: the concept of training, the role of pedagogical knowledge in the professional development of teachers, the importance of ability in intentional planning of educational action, the need for an innovative regulatory system in relation to structuring of the educational system. If teachers’ professionalism results from the achievement of several skills, the pedagogical one represents the access key bringing to a leading role two issues: on one hand the educational purposes and intentionality, on the other the sense guiding strategies, methods and organizations.

The opportunities for teachers to specialize and undertake advanced courses opens the debate on the importanceand training priorities of in-service teachers. Starting from a theoretical framework, this contribution aims tohighlight an analysis of the training practices of in-service teachers declared in the Tree Years training plan of100 lower secondary schools (randomly extracted for each geographical macro-area). The data collected refer toa qualitative-quantitative design for a broader research of national interest, which has as its purpose the definitionof a curriculum of moral education in lower secondary school. The analysis – carried out using the NVivo software– made it possible to identify the contents of the main forms of teacher training (e.g. digital skills, key andcitizenship skills, safety, evaluation, innovative teaching) in relation to their ethical importance, in line with thecreation of a democratic society.

The inclusion of differences is a theme that, even today, generates a strong reaction in the school world. Theconformation that the classes present and the great heterogeneity that characterises them, reflect today's socialcomplexity which, compared to the past, is certainly more multifaceted and pluralistic. In the classroom, thepresence of students with certified disabilities is a reality that brings with it great variety. Inclusion seems to bethe only catalyst for efforts to change, and attempts to make teaching and schoolwork more relevant, promotingthe emotion of relationship and learning. The continuous and incessant search for quality in inclusion is, in reality, the search for quality in schooling. Despite much research and many developments on the theme of inclusion, the latter represents a complex issue that requires specific training that is now entrusted to specialisedcourses in support. This article seeks to describe the added value offered by these courses with a view to buildinga constantly evolving professionalism.L’inclusione delle differenze è un tema che, ancora oggi, anima fortemente il mondo della scuola.

The paper presents one exploratory single case study (Yin, 2018) involving the implementation of the Reading Aloud method in the Porta Palazzo district of the Turin municipality in North-West Italy. In general, formal education tests show ‘migrant’ pupils scoring worse than ‘natives’ in reading in most countries; this implies a double inequality that is particularly evident in Western European, Nordic, and North American countries where ‘migrant’ students in most countries have to deal with extra difficulties in both reading and subjective wellbeing (Wang, 2021). Through logbook analysis, specific attention is given to teachers observation of the effects of reading aloud practice and to ways to address reading test performance for Italian pupils with a migrant background that have shown to be significantly and consistently lower when compared with ‘native’ pupils. The narrative analysis of the teachers logbook observations provides evidence that reading aloud at school has a positive impact upon those children who are coming from families that are not used to read aloud to their children. The paper presents one exploratory single case study (Yin, 2018) involving the implementation of the Reading Aloud method in the Porta Palazzo district of the Turin municipality in North-West Italy.

This study adopts an innovative concept of transition to the workplace, which envisages the non-linearity of paths by merging the economic sensitivity to job demand, to the pedagogical deweyan one according to which experiences are ‘educational’ if learning continuity is identifiable. By so doing, the study analyses the continuity of transition to the workplace for graduates between 2008 and 2019 from the five universities of the Lazio region (Sapienza, Roma Tre, for a 12% of the reference population; Tuscia, LUISS, LUMSA), for a total of almost 350.000 graduates and beyond 1,3 million  job contracts. The analysis method adopted operates on a database, which has been the source of multiple studies of the UNI.CO work group, given by the integration of a first one by Sapienza concerning graduates’careers and a second one injecting data recorded by the Ministry of Employment. Considering dependent or para-dependent contracts, the research only scrutinises “matched” (abbinati) graduates, namely those whose record testifies at least one job contract, studying their territorial distribution, its coherence with the degree title, and the quality of the experience. The study proceeds to show two focuses: the first one on the typology of contracts held by the master degree graduates; the second one on the employment situation of Lazio graduates, originally living in the South of Italy. Ultimately, the study critically offers a re-conceptualisation of the transition related terminology, overcoming notions of “typical contracts” and “degree outcomes”, by considering the complexity of these longitudinal phenomena.
