Implementasi Sistem Monitoring Kualitas Air Kolam Ikan di Kelompok Budidaya Ikan Milenial
Dalam era modern, perkembangan teknologi memberikan dorongan bagi inovasi dalam sektor budidaya ikan. Untuk mengatasi tantangan pengukuran manual kualitas air kolam ikan yang dihadapi oleh Kelompok Budidaya Ikan Milenial dilakukan pendekatan terstruktur dalam tiga tahap yaitu Persiapan, Pelaksanaan, dan Evaluasi. Selama tahap Persiapan, tim melakukan persiapan perangkat IoT dengan sensor untuk mengukur parameter fisik air. Tahap Pelaksanaan melibatkan pemasangan perangkat, pengumpulan data, dan implementasi aplikasi web. Evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi keefektifan solusi. Luaran dari pengabdian ini mencakup pendaftaran Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI), publikasi artikel di jurnal, ekspos kegiatan di media massa online, dan dokumentasi kegiatan. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengabdian ini tidak hanya memberikan solusi teknologi yang inovatif, tetapi juga mendokumentasikan kontribusi yang berharga bagi kemajuan budidaya ikan dan teknologi pengukuran kualitas air
STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TEACHING STRATEGIES IN THE TRANSLATION SUBJECT
Transferring knowledge to pupils is one of a teacher's most important responsibilities when it comes to teaching. Due to its ability to assist students in overcoming the challenge of translation competence, the blank technique is perceived as one of the research's lessons. Ideas are transferred from the source language to the target language during translation, and the meaning remains the same. For students to learn through the lecture method and to comprehend the content, translation is therefore crucial to the process of learning. A qualitative method was used for this study. Then the research instruments used questionnaires and interviews. The total number of respondents is 13 English Language Education students from STAIN Bengkalis. According to the findings, the majority of students appreciate and benefit from lecturing on the teaching technique. It demonstrated that children study translation because it is enjoyable for them and makes it easier to understand words and sentences. Students who learn translation can help them organize the meaning methodically and increase their knowledge, particularly vocabulary, understanding the text's point of view, and comprehending the text's meaning. It signifies that the teaching technique used in translation class was acceptable and increased students' translation skills. While the results from the interview in this study also revealed that students enjoyed learning translation subjects in order to develop their grasp of the meaning of a text, competence in translating a text, and competence in comprehending English language

ETHNOLINGUISTIC INSIGHTS INTO MINANGKABAU CULINARY TRADITIONS: INTEGRATING CULTURAL AND LINGUISTIC PERSPECTIVES ON RENDANG APPRECIATION IN EDUCATIONAL CONTEXTS
The Minangkabau community, hailing from West Sumatra, Indonesia, holds deep-rooted cultural values that permeate their culinary practices. Rendang, a slow-cooked meat dish with rich, complex flavors, serves as a quintessential example of their gastronomic heritage. Ethnolinguistic analysis unveils the intricate relationship between language, culture, and food in Minangkabau society. This study offers an unique lens through which to explore the culinary traditions of the Minangkabau people, particularly in the context of appreciating dishes like rendang. This abstract aims to integrate both cultural and linguistic perspectives into educational contexts. Linguistic exploration reveals that the names of traditional dishes often carry layers of cultural significance. In the case of rendang, linguistic nuances reflect not only the ingredients and cooking process but also historical narratives, social structures, and religious influences. Understanding these linguistic subtleties is crucial for a comprehensive appreciation of Minangkabau cuisine. Moreover, ethnolinguistic studies shed light on the role of language in preserving culinary knowledge and transmitting cultural values across generations. In educational contexts, incorporating ethnolinguistic perspectives into the study of Minangkabau culinary traditions can enrich cross-cultural understanding and promote intercultural competence. By exploring rendang appreciation through a cultural and linguistic lens, educators can engage students in meaningful discussions about food as a manifestation of identity, history, and social dynamics. In conclusion, ethnolinguistic insights offer a holistic framework for exploring Minangkabau culinary traditions, particularly the appreciation of rendang as one of the world's most delicious dish. This research aimed to enhance the online presence of Satia Collection, a micro-enterprise in Batam, Indonesia, through the strategic use of social media platforms. Accounts were established on Instagram, Facebook, Linktree, and Canva, accompanied by a new brand logo and Google Maps registration to improve customer accessibility. The implementation of Instagram ads led to a significant increase in reach and interaction on the platform, demonstrating tremendous customer engagement and the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies. Furthermore, there was a notable rise in WhatsApp messages through Instagram and Facebook links, highlighting the interconnectedness of these social media networks. The study emphasizes the importance of content quality over frequency in driving user engagement and underscores the need for retail entrepreneurs to leverage technological advancements. Among the social media networks, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram emerged as the most-used platforms, with WhatsApp playing a crucial role in customer-centered marketing due to its affordability and ease of use
Rancang Bangun Alat Ukur Multifungsi 5 In 1 (Altimeter, TDS Meter, Soil Moisture Meter, Termometer, Barometer) Digital Portabel Berbasis Arduino Nano
Technological advances in instrumentation are developing rapidly. Various types of technology have been created to make it easier for humans to do their jobs. As one of the developing technologies is technology in the field of measurement. Therefore, a 5 IN 1 multifunction measuring instrument (Altimeter, TDS meter, Soil Moisture meter, Thermometer, and Barometer) digital portable was designed. This tool can measure altitude, solids in water volume, soil pressure, temperature and air pressure in one multifunctional measuring instrument. This measuring instrument will be designed using a BMP280 sensor, a TDS sensor, and an Arduino Nano-based soil moisture sensor. The tool works automatically in response to how much the measurement value is detected by the sensor used. The Arduino Nano then processes and provides a pre-programmed output. The measurement results are then displayed on the LCD. Based on the test results, it is found that the difference between the values of the measuring instruments made is close to the values of the standard measuring instruments so that the reading accuracy level of each sensor functions well and has a high level of accuracy. In the measurement of the BMP280 sensor for altitude measurements, an average accuracy rate of 98.6% is obtained, for air pressure measurements an average accuracy rate of 99% is obtained, for temperature testing an average accuracy rate of 96% is obtained. Meanwhile, the TDS test produces an average accuracy rate of 94.6%. For testing the soil moisture sensor, it produces an average accuracy rate of 95.1%
Design Floating Barge Power Plant Berkapasitas 5,7 Kw Sebagai Sumber Energi Listrik Emergency Di Wilayah Kepulauan Riau
Pemadaman listrik bergilir merupakan salah satu problem yang terjadi di beberapa Wilayah kepulauan di propinsi Riau dan Kepri. Hal itu terjadi karena tidak tersedianya pembangkit listrik cadangan (standby) sehingga pada saat pembangkit dilakukan perawatan (shutdown) atau terjadi kerusakan maka supply daya listrik tidak mencukupi kebutuhan. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dalam penelitian ini dibuat sebuah desain floating barge power plant berkapasitas minimal 5700 kW dengan konfigurasi genset 1000 kW, 900 kW, 600 kW dan 3200 kW. Untuk membawa sistem pembangkit tersebut diperlukan barge dengan displacement 495,82 ton Lpp=28,33m, B=9,5m, H=3m, T=2,1 dan lambung dengan Cb=0,822. Rute operasional yang paling efektif dengan tujuan menggantikan supply daya listrik didarat saat maintenance adalah Rupat – Bengkalis - Selat Panjang - Tanjung Batu - Tanjung Balai Karimun - Tanjung Uban - Tanjung Pinang
AN ANALYSIS OF CODE SWITCHING USED IN THE ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSES CLASS AT STATE POLYTECHNIC OF BENGKALIS
This study examines the phenomenon of code switching within the context of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) classes at the State Polytechnic of Bengkalis. Code switching, the alternation between languages or language varieties within discourse, is analyzed to understand its frequency, functions, and implications in enhancing language learning environments. The research employs qualitative methods, including classroom observations and interviews with and students. Findings reveal that code switching is a prevalent practice in ESP classrooms, serving various communicative and pedagogical purposes such as clarification, emphasis, and cultural integration. The study underscores the complex role of code switching in language education, suggesting implications for language policy and teaching strategies in similar educational settings.
