The Composition of Contemporary Institutional Economics
Get PDFThe purpose of this article is to describe the complexity of contemporary institutional economics caused by the emergence of New Institutional Economics and the new movement in the economics of the Institutional School. After the second world war, the Association for Evolutionary Economics and the Association for Institutional Thought were established by institutionalists such as Gruchy, Ayres and Garnbs. Institutionalists such as Dugger, Stanfield and Waller Jr., who belonged to these associations, adopted the processual paradigm approach. In order to distinguish their approach from New Institutional Economics, they established Radical Institutionalism, which has succeeded Veblen's evolutionary concept about institutions and the instrumentalism of Dewey. The theory of institutional adjustment is a part of the theoretical foundations of Radical Institutionalism

A Study on the Support of Self-Determination of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities : From a Viewpoint of the Power Structure between Disabled and Supporter
Get PDF近年、知的障害者の自己決定の支援が重要であるという認識がなされている。本稿では、先行研究において、知的障害者にとって自己決定はどのようなものであると定義されているか、その支援方法はどのようなものかをレビューした。また、現場でどのように自己決定が解釈されているかという事例を2つ紹介した。先行研究や事例から明らかにされた問題点は、現在の自己決定支援が障害特性やその結果付随して起こりうる困難を考慮したものではないということである。そのため、援助者と知的障害者との間に権力関係が生み出される危険性があることを指摘した。本稿の結論として、権力関係を打開するためには、援助者が既存の概念を問い直し、自らの障害者観を問うていくことの重要性を示唆した。Recently, We have been recognized that the support of self-determination for the persons with mental retardation is important. This thesis discusses the following development. At first, I reviewed the current thesises of the definition and methods of self-determination for them and introduce the two case of the support. Then I pointed out that the current support is not considered the character of mental retardation. As a result, the power structure is caused between the supporter and persons with mental retardation. To prevent that cases, I suggested that the supporter have to been asked the concept of existing and a view of disabilities on his own
