Descriptor feature based on local binary pattern for face classification
Local Binary Patterns (LBP) is a non-parametric descriptor whose purpose is to effectively summarize local image configurations. It has generated increasing interest in many aspects including facial image analysis, vision detection, facial expression analysis, demographic classification, etc. in recent years and has proven useful in various applications. This paper presents a local binary pattern based face recognition (LBP) technology using a Vector Support Machine (SVM). Combine the local characteristics of LBP with universal characteristics so that the general picture characteristics are more robust. To reduce dimension and maximize discrimination, super vector machines (SVM) are used. Screened and Evaluated (FAR), FARR and Accuracy Score (Acc), not only on the Yale Face database but also on the expanded Yale Face Database B datasets, the test results indicate that the approach is accurate and practical, and gives a recognition rate of 98 %
The reality of e-learning at Al Ain University in the United Arab Emirates, and its influence in achieving interaction between students and lecturers
This study aims to analyse the reality of e-learning at Al Ain University in the United Arab Emirates and its influence in achieving interaction between students and lecturers. The descriptive-analytical approach were used. The study includes 300 students and faculty members at Al Ain University. The study shows that there were no statistically significant differences in the reality of e-learning at Al Ain University in the United Arab Emirates and its role in achieving interaction between students and faculty members based on age and academic qualification. The researcher suggests providing educational courses on the usage of electronic programs in all aspects of the e-learning process and providing strong e-learning guidance for students and faculty
Concepts of spatial criticism in the architecture "The Role of Critical Concepts in Contemporary Design"
The place that identified the ways of thinking is responsible for formulating the physical existence of human space that is linked to the users\u27 social and psychological memory. Where the research clarified the spatial concepts in architecture, which required a critical study for the previous literature to reach the difference in the effectiveness of place in contemporary design, especially the previous literature that differs in its views and lacks comprehensiveness. Accordingly, the research problem was represented by the following: "There is a lack of knowledge about the role of spatial criticism concepts in contemporary design". This research aims to firstly reveal the unknown area to distinguish between the states of "place and space" in architecture, and to secondly clarify the vocabulary of spatial criticism and its variables responsible for the formation of the place. This work has adopted the ground theory approach as a methodology aimed at building an intellectual model for the vocabulary of spatial criticism from the study of the previous literature and systematically analyzing it by using a comparative analysis
Optimum influence of tensile functions on welded parts of AA 2024-T3 produced from friction stir mechanism utilizing air and water
Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a modern technology employed in welding aluminum alloys in various industrial fields such as airplane industries. Therefore, AA 2024-T3 alloy can be one of the active materials used in this field. From here, numerous studies have been conducted on the natural flow of air and water to cool the welded joints of this alloy. Nonetheless, the forced air and water were not utilized with this alloy. Hence, the purpose of this study is to apply these forced convection mechanisms to specify the optimal outputs of tensile functions using multi-objective optimization by the General Full Factorial (GFF) technique. In addition, the rotational speeds were 800, 1000, 1200 rpm in this experimental medium. Therefore, the optimal parameters resulting from this work were 1200 rpm and forced water to achieve the best performance. Furthermore, the morphology of the fracture region is induced by these parameters leading to appearing big dimples. Finally, these dimples contribute to enhancing the plastic fracture without brittleness
Evaluation of construction companies performance by using stepwise weight assessment ratio analysis
The extent to which the facility and the construction process meet and/or surpass a client\u27s expectations is critical for client satisfaction. As a result, company evaluation is a well-established procedure in project management in the construction industry to ensure projects are performed in compliance with the contract documents and applicable laws and regulations. The purpose of this study is to present and debate certain criteria for evaluating the Iraqi construction sector companiesโ performance based on Stepwise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) to assess company responsibility and performance in support of future projects. The evaluation criteria of construction companies are studied in this paper. The criteria have been categorized into main groups: (a) organization and management; (b) time; (c) quality; (d) cost; (e) resource; (f) safety practices. The main criteria have been divided into forty-four sub criteria. The findings of this paper demonstrate that the most important criteria in evaluating the construction companiesโ performance is cost, followed by time, quality, organization and management, resources, and lastly safety practices which ranked based on the weight of criteria (35.7%, 24.2%, 16.3%, 11.2%, 7.4%, 5.2% respectively) with the SWARA technique

Since architecture is concerned with the design of various buildings at the architectural and urban levels, and since buildings are responsible for nearly half of energy consumption worldwide, this matter calls for the need to pay attention to the curricula and theories of environmental architectural design originally based on environmental education curricula in the departments of engineering Architecture to seek to prepare the teaching staff and students to face this reality by developing curricula that distinguish academic and professional institutions and specifically related to environmental education curricula for the purpose of finding appropriate and compatible solutions with every design act in view of the increasing environmental problems in the light of global indicators, the research seeks to identify the most important stages of education Environmental in the field of architecture, starting from the stage of the exploratory approach through the stage of the proposal approach to the stage of the critical approach, with the identification of the most important environmental design theories such as biomicry, which helped in finding solutions to the problem of high energy consumption of eight buildings at the architectural and urban levels, as well as the research seeks to review the position of Environmental education curriculum in the Department of Architecture โ Al-Nahrain University, To show its compatibility with the most important stages of environmental education approved globally. The research concluded that there is a weakness in the alternatives approach and the critical approach that must be activated as an important stage of environmental education in that department. The research also recommends the necessity of activating environmental design theories in the field of practical and academic architectural practice, such as the biomicrological design theory for the purpose of raising the environmental efficiency of buildings and reducing energy consumption. Adaptive speech compression based on AMBTC
Most of the AMBTC-based RDH (absolute instantaneous block truncation) schemes Cannot be decrypted because AMBTC, which is unknown to most device. Also, some of the RDH methods based on AMBTC. But the load capacity obtained is low. For this purpose, in this work, a scalable RDH scheme based on AMBTC was introduced from the AMBTC zip code. In contrast to the decoder-based AMBTC-based RDH methods that are only able to achieve a constant payload for adjust the audio. Due to its advantages, sound pressure has attracted a great deal of attention in the last 20 years. The main developments concern transmission requirements and storage capacity. The need for high-quality audio data has been increased due to sudden improvements in computer manufacturers and technologies. Therefore, the developments include speech compression technologies, in which the two compression classes are lossless. The effect of polluted samples on Bayesian Estimators of Burr type โXII distribution
Bayesian estimators may be affected by the polluted samples, because these samples โโcan lead to the influence of the estimation methods in general and the Bayesian methods in particular, and thus the deviation of the values โโof the distribution parameter from their real values, and this leads to the divergence of the capabilities of the Bayes survival estimators from the real values.
The results showed that the estimators of the parameters were affected by many factors (sample size, distribution parameter, number of outliers and the estimation method). Simulation experiment results also showed a difference in Mean Square Error (MSE) of the Bayes survival estimators for each different experiment. Bayesian methods can be compared with other estimation methods (Maximum likelihood Estimation (MLE), Moment estimation (MOM) and shrinkage method (SH)). Also, Bayesian methods can be used to estimate the survival function of other distributions (exponential, Gamma and mixed) to observe the estimation results with the presence of extreme values
Verification approach for medical data in e-healthcare system based on biometric and watermarking
Medical information is crucial in the healthcare system, and its manipulation can lead to misdiagnosis. Medical images also contain personal information for patients; hence, information security and privacy protection are paramount when transferring medical images over the Internet. Biometric approach and watermarking techniques are used to achieve this purpose. The focus of this paper was on a biometric watermarking system with a frequency domain in which the sender\u27s iris code is employed as a sender authentication key. The privacy of the patient\u27s information is preserved by encrypting it and embedding the key in the cover medical image created by the Discrete Wavelet Transform. The algorithm has shown that the proposed system has met previous requirements
Experimental and modeling study of hydrophobic associative polyacrylamide for enhanced oil recovery in carbonate reservoir
In this study, hydrophobic associative polyacrylamide (HAPAM) was used in conjunction with the chemical flooding technique in a low-permeability carbonates reservoir. To test the efficacy of the proposed method, both a model and an experiment were created. Experiments were run to compare the relative permeability (Kr) curves, oil recovery rates, and rheological, physical, aging time, and petrophysical features of brine water and polymer flooding in a core. The purpose of these tests was to show how HAPAM can be used to boost oil recovery. Computer Modelling Group (CMG), a simulator, was then used. An oil-and-brine (or HAPAM solution) grid in three dimensions (3D) was developed. The validity of the suggested simulator was established by comparing its results to those obtained from commercial software and from most of the brine or polymer flooding experiments. The developed simulator was used to undertake additional research into the non-Newtonian flow of brine or polymer solution in porous media. The experimental consequences indicated that the polymer solution has a shear thinning viscosity curve and flow behavior index. Shear thinning, viscosity, shear resistance, aging time, density, surface tension, and interfacial tension, and the water wet relative permeability curve are all improved by the adding 1500 ppm HAPAM to brine water. Moreover, oil recovery was about 80%. There was a strong agreement between the results of the modeling study and the experiments
