    Production of compression and flexural test samples in 3D printer with PLA polymeric biomaterial and bone compression with appropriate properties

    In this study, it is planned to design and develop a structure close to the real bone strength properties by using PLA (polylactic acid) material. 3D printers have started to take place in our daily lives with today\u27s developing technology and are preferred because of their ease of production and low cost. It has been determined that the PLA biomaterial can be used as a bone substitute in the body. The samples produced have different filling ratios and different internal structures. In the study, the effects of changes in the internal structure on the mechanical properties were investigated. Bone geometry is considered as an important factor among the parameters affecting biomechanical properties. In order to determine the mechanical properties of PLA filament material, bending and compression samples were prepared as 3 pieces for each test. The aim of this study is to determine whether it can be used as bone in the body by measuring the mechanical properties of biocompatible PLA polymer material. In the current work, the quality of the 3d printer and the material used in production directly affects the mechanical properties. In bones in the human body, trabecular bone has 80% porosity and cortical bone 10% infill. In this study, it was tried to obtain structures with properties close to real bone strength by using test specimens with different infill rates. It has been determined from the obtained data that PLA polymer material can be developed and meet the mechanical values in bone

    This study aimed to clarify the role of storytelling marketing in the trademark marketing of telecommunications companies in Iraq, and it is logical that the role can be negative or favorable namely: value harmony, trademark image, trademark love, trademark loyalty. The researcher used the descriptive approach with reference to the literature of the study and previous studies, then used the questionnaire as a method for collecting primary data, and after processing and analysing the data, the researcher reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which are: Oral marketing did not lose its lustre and did not lose its impact on the customer\u27s choice of the Iraqi telecom companies\u27 trademark.     Evaluation of long-term consumption of soft drinks on liver function in laboratory female rats

    Consumption of soft drinks (SDs) has increased in recent years. Soft drinks contain a collection of chemical compounds can produce multiple side effects. This work aimed to inspect the impacts of long-term consumption of SDs on liver function, antioxidant and oxidative biomarker, body weight, lipid profile and liver histological structure in female albino rats. Twenty-four female albino White rats (Rattus norvigicus) were randomly assigned to six groups of four animals: two control groups (groups 1-2) were fed regular pellet; Coca-Cola group (groups 3-4) were fed with standard pellet diet and given Coca Cola (2 ml) once a day; and Seven up groups (groups 5-6) were fed with standard pellet diet and given Seven up (2 ml) once a day. The treatment continued for two weeks and four months. All treatments were administered by oral gavage. Cardiac puncture technique was used for taken blood samples after 2 weeks and 3 months for measurement of liver function tests, malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH) and lipid profile, in addition to the histological study for the liver tissue. ALAT,  ASAT and ALP activity considerably elevated (p≤0.05) in animal dosed with Coca Cola and Seven up daily for 4 months. GSH significantly decrease (p≤0.05) in animal dosed with Coca Cola for 4 months. MDA was significantly increase (p≤0.05) in animal dosed with Coca Cola and Seven up for 4 months. Body weight gains significantly elevated in the treated groups for 4 months compared with the control and the other groups. Total cholesterol, TG, VLDL-C and LDL-C was increased significantly in the groups dosed with Coca Cola and Seven up for 2 weeks and 4 months compared with other groups. While the HDL-C showed a significant reduction in the groups dosed with Coca Cola and Seven up for 2 weeks and 4 months. Histopathological study revealed changes in the liver of groups treated with Cola and Seven up for 4 months represented by the appearance of a dilated and congested portal vein and ballooning degeneration of hepatocytes. In conclusions, chronic consumption of soft drinks has harmful effects on liver function and a reason for exposure to fatty liver disease

    Knowledge, attitudes, behaviors and, risk perception towards seasonal influenza and vaccination among adult population of UAE

    Seasonal influenza (flu) is responsible for the important cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide, vaccination against seasonal influenza is usually very protective. Understanding the level of knowledge, practice toward flu and its vaccine is essential for the effective limiting of disease, and prevention strategies. The purpose of this paper is to estimate the knowledge, attitude, behaviors, and risk perception of adults toward flu and its vaccine in the UAE. A cross-sectional study using a survey has conducted between adults. A total of 815 (613 females and 202 males) residents in the UAE participated in this study and complete the survey, between February to April 2020. Participants were selected by using a simple random technique. Knowledge, attitudes, practice, and risk perception of participants were investigated. Data were analyzed using the SPSS program. A p-value <0.05 was reported as statistically significant. The findings showed that a higher level of knowledge toward seasonal influenza was reported among the females, age group of >24, those with a higher level of education, and employed participants. The main source of participants\u27 knowledge was social media (75.3%). The popular causes for unwillingness to getting vaccinated were fear of the many side effects of the vaccine and unavailability of participant’s time. The study concluded that Lacking knowledge was found within various aspects. Many misconceptions about the effectiveness of the seasonal flu vaccine and shortage of risk perception were found. Improve the population’s knowledge level, awareness campaigns to increase knowledge, and enhance flu vaccination coverage in UAE are essential

    Superluminal light group velocity in tapered optical microfibers

    Superluminal light group velocity was formerly reported in anomalous dispersion, nonlinear amplification of light pulse, high-gain lasers\u27 cavities, and waveguides. Motivated by a recent observation of light acceleration in optical microfiber [1], the possibility of attaining the light group velocity exceeds its value in vacuum is investigated. The investigation of superluminal velocity is in tapered optical microfiber that has a radius decreases with propagation axis by a factor 10-3. Our results show the possibility of attaining superluminal group velocity in this microfiber at length of about 1080µm. At this length the instantaneous acceleration of light is found to be 13×1019 m/s2 which its corresponding Unruh temperature is 0.527K

    Today cancer is one of the diseases leading to death in the world in general and in the Middle East in particular, according to the reports of the World Health Organization. In spite of this, early detection through the availability of the necessary data on the disease in patients and the variety of variables studied helps in the large percentage of treatment, and that Increasing awareness among members of the Iraqi community, especially women, about breast cancer, proves its ability to recover from this disease through early and periodic examination and self-examination, and it was found that the number of injuries in terms of ages was for the second category (70-40), and this indicates that menstruation or what is known as the stage of hope is the stage that females must do early and periodic examination of this disease, and that the diagnosis of the disease was a clinical test or tissue culture, and therefore it was recommended to spread awareness for early and self-examination to detect the disease early and this greatly helps for treatment, with changing the data registration form for this type of disease to include more important variables, especially the genetic factor variable

    Comparison of some artificial neural networks for graduate students

    Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) is one of the important statistical methods that are widely used in a range of applications in various fields, which simulates the work of the human brain in terms of receiving a signal, processing data in a human cell and sending to the next cell. It is a system consisting of a number of modules (layers) linked together (input, hidden, output). A comparison was made between three types of neural networks (Feed Forward Neural Network (FFNN), Back propagation network (BPL), Recurrent Neural Network (RNN). he study found that the lowest false prediction rate was for the recurrentt network architecture and using the Data on graduate students at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Baghdad for the period from 2014-2015 to The academic year 2017-2018. The variables are use in the research is (student’s success, age, gender, job, type of study (higher diploma, master’s, doctorate), specialization (statistics, economics, accounting, industry management, administrative management, and public administration) and channel acceptance).     Development of a web-based broadband mapping application

    Broadband mapping plays an intricate part in broadband availability. With a variety of methods existing in achieving broadband mapping, a more compact approach that is both easy to use and cost effective is necessary. Exploring the software approach using a web application, it becomes plausible to carry out broadband mapping. A three-in-one web-based broadband mapping application (www.speedtester.com.ng) capable of detecting the mapping location and measuring the speed of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) was developed. It also provides a facility for data storage and display on a map. The developed application was tested against an existing software to confirm its accuracy. The developed application showed significant accuracy, flexibility of usage along with its cost-effective implementation. In addition, the performance of three different ISPs at selected locations were evaluated using the developed application. The result shows that the minimum broadband speed benchmark set by the National Broadband Committee has not been realized for some ISPs. Hence, for optimal internet services, users can make informed decisions on the ISP services to utilize

    Content delivery network for secure of software defined networking by using IPv4, OpenFlow, and ALTO

    Software defined networking is a programmability function network by easiness for maintenance and configuration. The administrators of network can change the traffic rules during the commuting process. SDN is an arising network structure with programmability and centralization and this leads to introduce potential security concerns. Though the TLS ability support secure for control plane but computationally aggravating and complex to configure as well as  not compatible with OpenFlow protocol. For this reason, a content delivery network can be used to increase the ability of network services dynamically and automatically. In order that relieve the threat we proposed architecture for SDN depending on CDN. In our proposed architecture, we use application layer traffic optimization (ALTO) protocol to be as servers enable mapping for the network to produce a summarized vision. We also hide the identity of the forwarding devices by take advantage of IPv4 and OpenFlow transaction identification fields into the control packets through implement of two authentication structures via efficient Salsa20 stream cipher. Finally, the work results explain the proposed architecture can efficiently eliminate of attack types and provide more detectability to attackers

    Securing medical records based on inter-planetary file system and blockchain

    In general, health records include important information like the patient’s history, findings of examinations and assessments, diagnosis reports, documentation of consent, and treatment plans. Sharing this information has grown to be a challenge concerning data security, as it could result in compromising patient privacy. Therefore, the patient\u27s information should not be misused or tampered with. In this paper, a full process of storing and retrieving medical records is proposed using a decentralized system through the integration of two emerging technologies: Blockchain and Inter-Planetary File System (IPFS). The system provides solutions for the major security concerns associated with medical files, including authentication and authorization, database breaches, data integrity of local and cloud storage, and data availability. The obtained results indicate a high level of safety by adding security layers such as confidentiality, authentication, authorization and access control, based on different factors. All these aspects contribute to reaching the aim of the proposed system, which is storing and retrieving medical records in a decentralized and safe manner
