    Flexural behavior of CFRP-strengthened reinforced concrete beams rubberized with finely minced rubber tire

    Although using rubber to create reinforced concrete substrates has many benefits, using rubberized concrete substrates, such as beams, is still limited. Where concrete with rubber included in it starts to lose a percent-age of its mechanical qualities, such as flexural strength. Conversely, a significant portion of structural uses for strengthening reinforced concrete beams using exterior carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets are for flexural strengthening. This study used externally bonded carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets to compensate for the reduction in flexural strength when creating rubberized concrete beams. The reinforced concrete beams used in this study were divided into three groups, each with three beams. Waste tire rubber was replaced (5%) of the fine aggregate volume in the first group and replaced (10%) in the sec-ond group. The reference group consists of the third set of beams. The first concrete beam in any group was always devoid of external strengthening, the second beam had one layer and the third beam had two layers of (CFRP) sheet. The third layer of strengthening was numerically represented using ABAQUS, a finite element analysis program. The results indicate that for two-volume replacement rates of fine aggregate (5 and 10) %, a decrease in ductility will have been accompanied by an improvement in the flexural strength of the rubberized concrete beam when externally strengthening with one, two, and three layers of (CFRP) sheets

    Enhancing cloud security through the integration of deep learning and data mining techniques: A comprehensive review

    Cloud computing is crucial in all areas of data storage and online service delivery. It adds various benefits to the conventional storage and sharing system, such as simple access, on-demand storage, scalability, and cost savings. The employment of its rapidly expanding technologies may give several benefits in protecting the Internet of Things (IoT) and physical cyber systems (CPS) from various cyber threats, with IoT and CPS providing facilities for people in their everyday lives. Because malware (malware) is on the rise and there is no well-known strategy for malware detection, leveraging the cloud environment to identify malware might be a viable way forward. To avoid detection, a new kind of malware employs complex jamming and packing meth-ods. Because of this, it is very hard to identify sophisticated malware using typical detection methods. The article presents a detailed assessment of cloud-based malware detection technologies, as well as insight into understanding the cloud\u27s use in protecting the Internet of Things and critical infrastructure from intrusions. This study examines the benefits and drawbacks of cloud environments in malware detection, as well as pre-sents a methodology for detecting cloud-based malware using deep learning and data extraction and highlights new research on the issues of propagating existing malware. Finally, similarities and variations across detection approaches will be exposed, as well as detection technique flaws. The findings of this work may be utilized to highlight the current issue being tackled in malware research in the future

    Ranking the risks of drawing up the state budget in Iraq for the period from 2003 to 2021

    The paper analyzes the potential budgetary risks in Iraq and offers recommendations for mitigating the ef-fects of those risks. For the purpose of carrying out the study, the AHP-Fuzzy technique is utilized. This approach includes the following steps: creating criteria, acquiring and processing data, assigning weights to the criterion, and evaluating budgeting risks. The following is a list of twenty specialists in the area who have identified the risks that are related with the budgeting of the Iraqi government in the year 2023: erro-neous estimating or forecasting of the budget; expenses that were not anticipated or unforeseen; fluctuations in revenue or cash flow; inadequate implementation or communication of the budget; and a lack of oversight or insufficient monitoring and control measures. Investing in state institutions as a means of fostering politi-cal stability is one of the practical strategies that are suggested by the report. The expansion of income streams beyond oil exports, the improvement of anti-corruption legislation, the encouragement of social development, and the implementation of appropriate budgeting procedures are some other proposals. Providing assistance to the expansion of Iraq\u27s economy is something that the international community can also do. The findings of the study can be utilized by policymakers in order to gain a better understanding of the budgetary dangers that Iraq is currently facing and how to avert them in the future

    Design of an AS/RS machine for storage and extraction of items in a warehouse using Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

    The globalization of markets and high competitiveness impose new challenges every day on companies that develop their activities in the field of logistics, e-commerce, service, and product distribution. The imple-mentation of automated systems becomes relevant when the objective is to increase productivity, efficiency and reduce costs associated with handling, picking and overhead. The AS / RS systems (i.e., Automated Storage and Retrieval System) are automated machines able to move in the 3 coordinate axes (x, y, z), which are responsible for arranging the items in large warehouses generating a decrease in time delivery and storage.The aim of the article is to show the design of a prototype of an AS / RS (CAD) machine based on Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to verify the behavior before static loads according to Von Misses criteria and to guarantee the appropriate administration, storage, and extraction of each item in the warehouse, respective-ly. Also, it shows the use of the selection matrix that facilitates the interaction with the articles and executes the primary functions according to customer requirements. The result of this research shows the advantages and disadvantages of the implementation of these systems for companies that manage high volumes of stor-age, limited physical space and that require an appropriate management of the elements through the help of an easy-to-implement human-machine interface (HMI) that has control over open loop

    Study of chemical and physical parameters affected on purification of water from inorganic contaminants

    The ability to remove perchlorate anions was investigated by the adsorption technique in a laboratory scale and by a batch type unit from contaminated aqueous solutions prepared at specific concentrations. The ad-sorption process was carried out using banana peels, which were chosen as an available, cheap, and low-cost adsorption media. The studied operating conditions in the treatment process were the acidic function, shaking speed, contact time, temperature, in addition to the initial concentration of perchlorate, which rang-ing from 1-10, 100-400 rpm, 10-180 min, 20-50 ºC, 50-1000 ppb respectively, while the dose of adsorbent media ranged between 0.5-6 g and the particle size ranged from 0-Pan. The experimental results showed that the removal efficiency of perchlorate changes directly with the shaking speed, contact time, particle size and the dose of adsorbent, while it was inversely with the remaining variables for certain levels. Thus, two types of contaminants were disposed of simultaneously in a beneficial, and eco- friendly manner, reaching to Zero Residue Level (ZRL)

    Simulation of flow over stepped and traditional spillways

    There are several challenges that are faced by these structures, such as cavitation and high speed of flow during the dissipation of flow energy. The spillway is one of the key basic elements of dams that are utilized to pass huge volumes of discharge. The current work used computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to numeri-cally estimate the water surface flow and pressure distribution over stepped and traditional spillways. The numerical findings were compared with experimental data using the Renormalization group k- model. The numerical and experimental data have been compared, and it has been determined that there is an acceptable agreement between the two sets of findings

    Solving the multi-criteria: total completion time, total late work, and maximum earliness problem

    Within this research, The problem of scheduling jobs on a single machine is the subject of study to minimize the multi-criteria and multi-objective functions. The first problem, minimizing the multi-criteria, which include Total Completion Time, Total Late Work, and Maximum Earliness Time (∑C_j,∑V_j,E_max ), and the second problem, minimizing the multi-objective functions ∑C_j+ ∑V_j+E_max are the problems at hand in this paper. In this study, a mathematical model is created to address the research problems, and some rules provide efficient (optimal) solutions to these problems. It has also been proven that each optimal solution for ∑C_j+ ∑V_j+E_max is an efficient solution to the problem (∑C_j,∑V_j,E_max ). Because these problems are NP-hard problems so it is difficult to determine the efficient (optimal) solution set for these problems so some special cases are shown and proven which find some efficient (optimal) solutions suitable for the discussed problem, and highlight the significance of the Dominance Rule (DR), which can be applied to this problem to enhance efficient solutions

    A study of durable and reliable reactive powder concrete containing rice husk fibers

    Natural fibers have seen a surge in popularity over the past decade as a direct response to the growing num-ber of people who are concerned about the environment. The use of natural fibers has many advantages, including their low cost and their little impact on the environment. Rice husk is a byproduct of milling rice and is frequently regarded as a waste product by many people. However, it has a number of possible appli-cations, one of which is the use of its natural fibers in the production of bio-composites. In this paper, ex-perimental work was carried out to study the effect of Rice Husk Fibers with a volume fraction of one per-cent on the properties of Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC), utilizing various temperatures curing for four hours due two days after hardening the sample directly, and the optimal temperature that will give the high-est strength will be adopted to study the effect on some mechanical properties. Rice Husk Fibers were added to the RPC mixture at a volume fraction of one percent. These characteristics include the compressive strength, dry density, and slump of the material. According to the findings, the compressive strength of the RPC grew by 7.4%, while the dry density reduced by 0.69 % after being heated to 60 °C for 28 days. On the other hand, the RPC\u27s workability decreased by 5.62 % when compared to the reference mixture

    The impact of internal control on employees\u27 performance in small and medium-sized enterprises: The moderating role of accounting information systems (case study: Iraq)

    Internal control is a critical strategy employed by organizations to enhance efficiency and operational effec-tiveness. Accounting information systems (AIS) also serve as valuable tools for acquiring necessary infor-mation to evaluate the performance of both managers and employees. This study examines the impact of internal control on employees\u27 performance in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Iraq, with a particular focus on the moderating role of accounting information systems (AIS). Questionnaires were dis-tributed among SMEs in Iraq, and data from 198 responses were analyzed using structural equation model-ing (SEM). The findings indicate that internal control has a positive and significant influence on employees\u27 performance in Iraqi SMEs. Furthermore, the utilization of information systems contributes to improved employee performance. However, the study did not find evidence of AIS moderating the relationship be-tween internal control and employees\u27 performance. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that in the economic context of Iraq, particularly within SMEs, internal control plays a crucial role in enhancing effi-ciency and improving employees\u27 performance. Additionally, information systems have the potential to make a substantial impact in this domain. Nevertheless, it is imperative for these systems to be regularly updated and upgraded to effectively influence all departments and components within an organization. This research contributes to the understanding of internal control and information systems in SMEs in Iraq, which can aid similar organizations in developing economies

    Hybrid neural machine translation with statistical and rule-based approach for syntactics and semantics between Tolaki-Indonesian-English languages

    Machine Translation (MT) incorporates syntax lexical extraction and semantics to predict accurate results. Indonesian have many factors compared to English that related with syntax, especially morphophonemic factors in the language study. These factors are influenced by Lexical type and function while effected MT to frequently mistranslate sentences containing these factors. Meanwhile, semantic extraction is heavily reliant on syntaxis extraction results to predict accurate Lexical translations. In this study, we propose a hybrid statistical and rule-based for MT method that can solve syntaxis and semantic Indonesian problems that conducted the Local Languages in it, particularly Tolaki. First, we developed lexical extraction tech-niques in Statistical and Rule Based Approach to compile into hybrid MT. This lexical extraction technique is divided into three major tasks: morphophonemic extraction, Lexical Function, and Lexical type extrac-tion. Then we forecast each output of forwards and backwards translations. We compare the predicted output to find accurate translations. Following that, we update the Lexical type based on the actual Lexical function for the translation updating process, which we mark as incorrect translation. Finally, we evaluated MT in both directions. As a result, the proposed method received significant evaluation results, with a percentage success of Indonesian-Tolaki to English translation achieved Precision 0.7231; Recall 0.7; F1-measure: 0.7114; Accuracy: 0.7417 and percentage of success English to Indonesian-Tolaki translation Precision: 0.7119; Recall: 0.7167; F1-measure: 0.7143; Accuracy: 0.7083
