Operational data from Indonesian batik companies

    No full text
The operational data includes historical records of freshwater use for equipment cleaning and processing, along with batch sizes for each stage of the batik production process across four different companies. Since the data for each operation varies, some are presented as probability distributions, with their distributions and parameters determined using Arena software's input analyzer. This data was used to develop a simulation model that predicts water used in the batik production process based on product design

Data to support study of Structural Bifurcation in the High→Low-Spin and Low→High-Spin Phase Transitions Explains the Asymmetric Spin-Crossover in [FeL2][BF4]2 (L = 2,6-Di{pyrazol-1-yl}isonicotinonitrile). [Dataset]. https://doi.org/10.5518/1564

The title compound exhibits a spin-transition with asymmetric thermal hysteresis. It crystallises as two high-spin polymorphs HS1 and HS2, which convert to the low-spin phases LS3 and LS4 at low temperatures. The HS1 fraction increases at the expense of HS2 upon repeated scanning, which reflects that LS4 converts to a mixture of HS1 and HS2 on rewarming

A multi-model assessment of the early last deglaciation (PMIP4 LDv1)

    No full text
This dataset includes surface air temperature (temp_mm_1_5m), Atlantic meridional overturning circulation streamfunction (merid_Atlantic_ym_dpth), mixed layer depth (mixLyrDpth; where used in the manuscript), sea ice concentration (iceconc_mm_srf; where used in the manuscript), and sea surface temperature (temp_mm_dpth_5) for 16 simulations of the last deglaciation from 9 different climate models (LOVECLIM, the 17th simulation, data can be found in a linked DOI). These simulations were collated as part of the Paleoclimate Modelling Intercomparison Project 4 Last Deglaciation version 1 (PMIP4 LDv1) for a multi-model intercomparison of the simulations for the early part of the last deglaciation (between 21 and 15 ka BP). For the purpose of the analysis, they were regridded on a 1 degree scale and ocean depths were standardized. The regridded files are included here, and the original grid is shown in Table 1 in the manuscript of the same name

    TRANSAS Covid-19 Expert Interviews

    Get PDF
The scale of the crisis arising from the COVID19 pandemic was such that it impacted almost every domain of public policy. Beyond the acute phase of government response to COVID, there have been consistent attempts to frame what comes after the pandemic as the return to some kind of ‘normality’ across social and economic life. Whilst much is written on crises and models of policy change, this is usually post hoc; however in this research we were able to study changes to policy in real time as the crisis response unfolded. We present data and analysis from a unique longitudinal set of interviews undertaken between May 2020 and September 2023 with key stakeholders from the UK transport industry, a sector amongst the most profoundly impacted by the public health response to the pandemic. It explores how competing narratives of the need for either change or stability evolved, and seeks to understand how institutional settings, financial structures and resources, and professional expertise influenced policy responses. Despite there being an evident desire to see through such changes on the part of many of our interviewees, the wider governance system found it difficult if not impossible to achieve them in practice, because other components of the system worked directly against change. This ‘allure of normal’, we suggest, undermines our ability to adapt to achieve public value over the long term

Leeds Multi-Session Corpus of Standard Southern British English

    Get PDF
The Leeds Multi-Session Corpus of Standard Southern British English is a publicly available, 16-speaker dataset of Southern Standard British English speech, created at the University of Leeds between 2022 and 2024. The speakers are all females in the age range 18-35. The corpus was designed to allow for substantive analysis of intra-speaker variation. To this end, participants performed a series of commonly employed speech production and control tasks repeatedly, in 6 to 8 near-identical sessions. Consecutive sessions were separated by at least 2 weeks. Audio recordings were segmented by task to allow for the compilation of data subsets suitable for a range of phonetic analyses. The speech production tasks include a word production task, a passage reading task, and a sentence reading task in which participants produced sentences in multiple tempo and style conditions. The control tasks included a finger tapping task and a nonsense syllable repetition task. The dataset should be of interest to a range of speech researchers including those working in forensic phonetic practice
