Dataset Associated with Optical Conductivity of a Bi2Se3 Topological Insulator with a THz Transparent Top Gate
This is the dataset associated with the study performed on the transport and FIR properties of a Topologically insulating Bi2Se3 sample. It contains THz and DC conductivity data that show the change in conductivity as a function of gate bias, displaying the robustness of the topological surface states against external perturbation
Dataset associated with "Toward monodomain nematic liquid crystal elastomers of arbitrary thickness through PET-RAFT polymerization"
This dataset includes data obtained from analysis of liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) samples, produced both through PET-RAFT polymerization and free-radical polymerization. The data relates to the article titled "Towards Monodomain Nematic Liquid Crystal Elastomers of Arbitrary Thickness Through PET-RAFT Polymerization". The dataset includes, but is not limited to, FTIR data for the LCEs, differential scanning calrimetry and thermogravimetric analysis thermograms, and polarised raman studies
Dataset associated with 'Transport of skyrmions by surface acoustic waves'
Magnetic skyrmions in thin films with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) are promising candidates for magnetic
memory and logic devices, making the development of ways to transport skyrmions efficiently in a desired trajectory
of significant interest. Here, we investigate the transport of skyrmions by surface acoustic waves (SAWs) via several
modalities using micromagnetic simulations. We show skyrmion pinning sites created by standing SAWs at anti-nodes
and skyrmion Hall-like motion without pinning driven by travelling SAWs. We also show how orthogonal SAWs
formed by combining a longitudinal travelling SAW and a transverse standing SAW can be used for the 2D positioning
of skyrmions. Our results also suggest SAWs offer a viable approach to the transport of multiple skyrmions along a
multichannel racetrack
Atmospheric ice-nucleating particles in the eastern Mediterranean
While the atmosphere in the eastern Mediterranean is part of the dust belt, it encounters air masses
from Europe, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Sahara and Arabian Desert that bring with them a whole host
of potential dust and bioaerosol compositions and concentrations via long-range transport. The consequential
changes in the populations of ice-nucleating particles (INPs), aerosols that influence weather and climate by
the triggering of freezing in supercooled cloud water droplets, including in the convective cloud systems in the
region, are not so well understood beyond the influence of desert dust storms in increasing INP concentrations.
Here, we undertook an intensive INP measurement campaign in Israel to monitor changes in concentrations and
activity from four major air masses, including the potential for activity from biological INPs. Our findings show
that the INP activity in the region is likely dominated by the K-feldspar mineral content, with southwesterly air
masses from the Sahara and easterly air masses from the Arabian Desert markedly increasing both aerosol and
INP concentrations. Most intriguingly, a handful of air masses that passed over the Nile Delta and the northern
Fertile Crescent, regions containing fertile agricultural soils and wetlands, brought high INP concentrations with
strong indicators of biological activity. These results suggest that the Fertile Crescent could be a sporadic source
of high-temperature biological ice-nucleating activity across the region that could periodically dominate the
otherwise K-feldspar-controlled INP environment. We propose that these findings warrant further exploration in
future studies in the region, which may be particularly pertinent given the ongoing desertification of the Fertile
Crescent that could reveal further sources of dust and fertile soil-based INPs in the eastern Mediterranean region. The Dataset contains ice-nucleating particle concentrations and activities measured throughout the two-week campaign, alongside aerosol particle concentrations, and bacterial and fungal aerosol concentrations
Data associated with "Power stabilization of a terahertz-frequency quantum-cascade laser using a photonic-integrated modulator"
This dataset is associated with the manuscript "Power stabilization of a terahertz-frequency quantum-cascade laser using a photonic-integrated modulator". We demonstrate a technique to stabilize the emission from a ~3.5 THz quantum-cascade laser against long-term power drifts, using a recently developed Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) structure formed by coupling a racetrack resonator with a ridge waveguide. Successful locking over >600 s was achieved using a proportional–integral control loop. A technique for integrating the PIC with a precision micromachined rectangular metallic waveguide module has also been demonstrated

PSM-AP Comparative document analysis data: Priorities and challenges in the policy and digital strategies of ten PSM
The document consists of a list of 61 key policy and strategy documents analysed as part of the comparative work conducted in WP1 of the project Public Service Media in the Age of Platforms (PSM-AP). It also contains a series of selected quotes supporting the three key areas prioritised by the policies and PSM digital strategies: People (reaching audiences), Personalisation (developing the video-on-demand portal), and Prominence (of PSM services and content). The data was collected and analysed in 2023, from documents concerning 10 PSM organisations in seven media markets: Belgium-Flanders (VRT), Belgium-Wallonia Brussels (RTBF), Canada (CBC/Radio-Canada), Denmark (DR, TV 2) Italy (RAI), Poland (TVP), and the UK (BBC, Channel 4, ITV). All quotes were translated to English by the authors
