Among the most important features of which this theory consists are: the statement, the right approach to thinking and authorship, then Al-Jahiz’s focusing on applying such approach to all his writings. As for a statement for Al-Jahiz’s , it is from a first angle a thinking about a sign and the general classification of it, and is from a second angle an explanation of the way through which knowledge is acquired and disseminated. As for the right method of thinking and writing, it is for Al-Jahiz a part that makes knowledge wide and deep, through taking care of presenting ideas from controversial angles, that deal with topics from contrasting visions, in which the author's thought rises to the level of "dialogue"

A study of 3D modelling the vibrations induced from grab shock at the Metro Line 3 project in Hanoi
Get PDFThe density of high-rise building is increasing over recent years in urban city. Construction activities, particularly piling processes, D-wall excavation, are paid attention due to ground borne vibrations. The impact of vibrations induced from construction activates on existing buildings is discussed in the past and so on. However, there is rarely study their vibrations in Vietname specially in construction activities such as grab shocking. Continuing the analytical and experimental studies of the grab shocking in the Metro Line 3 project in Hanoi, 3D modelling of vibrations induced from the grab shocking on the existing building is carried out by Plaxis software. The hardening soil model is used and the acceleration of the grabin the bentonite slurry is considered in the model. The comparison between the analytical solution and the 3D simulation is highlighted in the paper to show the accuracy and robustness of the 3D modeling. This study is applied to investigate the vibrations on existing building in the Metro Line 3 project and to control the grab drop length as well as the distance of existing building to the vibration source
Investigation on the effect of cross beams in single span bridges under dynamic aspect by using finite element method
Get PDFIn the 1980s and 1990s, most bridges in Vietnam employed simple beam for short-span river crossings that did not need navigation and mainly used the reinforced concrete T-beams or pre-stressed concrete. While the T-frame structure that has hang single span is widely applied for rivers that require navigation...The single girder is a basic span made of pre-stressed reinforced concrete T or I cross section, with spacing ranging from 2.2m to 2.6m, and the absence of diaphragms was a common feature of bridges built during this time period. All horizontal crashes almost have happened on the spans that did not have diaphragms. As a result, the impact force is concentrated mostly on the lateral girders, leading to total damage. Thus, researches to evaluate the effect of diaphragms in the distribution of horizontal impact forces as well as minimizing the damage in the span structures are crucial. This study focuses on simulating and studying the influence of the number and position of the diaphragms in terms of stress, deformation and damage when a collision occurs in order to propose additional and repair solutions to enhance the horizontal resistance of span
La Vase Calcinée des Barrages autant qu’addition substituable partiellement au ciment : comportement vis-à-vis de l’Attaque de l’Acide Chloridrique
Get PDFThe dam’s calcined mud in Algeria were proposed by several researchers for its use as an addition partially substitutable for cement, that is beneficial in various fields (technical, economical and environmental), the objective of this work is to evaluate the behavior of this mud towards hydrochloric acid attack, to concretize this objective one control mortar and three mortars mixtures containing modified cement by replacing cement CEMI by the calcined mud with different mass proportion of 10%, 20% and 30%, compressive strength test until the age of 180 days have been elaborated at first time, after that the four mortars were immersed in solutions of hydrochloric acid with two types of concentrations 2% and 5% during 15 weeks (105 days), the results show that the mortars based on mud resist better than the control mortar with tan advantage for 10% replacement with the calcined mud than the other mortars.La vase calcinée des barrages en Algérie a été proposée par plusieurs chercheurs pour son utilisation autant qu’addition substituable partiellement au ciment, ce qui est bénéfique dans de multiples domaines (techniques, économique et environnemental), l’objectif de ce travail vise à évaluer le comportement des mortiers à base de cette vase vis-à-vis l’attaque de l’acide chlorhydrique, pour concrétiser cet objectif une formulation de mortier témoin et trois autres à base de ciment modifié avec des taux de substitution massique de ciment CEMI par la vase calcinée issue des sédiments de dragage du barrage Chorfa de 10%, 20% et 30%, des essais de résistance à la compression jusqu'à l’âge de 180 jours ont été élaborés en premier lieu, ensuite les quatre mortiers ont été immergés dans des solutions d’acide chlorhydrique avec deux concentrations différentes 2% et 5% durant 15 semaines (105 jours), les résultats ont montré que les mortiers à base de vase résistent mieux à l’acide chlorhydrique par rapport au mortier témoin avec un avantage pour la formulation contenant 10% de vase calcinée par rapport aux autres mortiers
Experimental investigation on thermal comfort assessment in public open spaces: Case of Jijel, Algeria
Get PDFThis study aims to assess the impact of some paving materials on the outdoor space thermal profile which are of prime importance for their viability and attendance. This was carried out through a case study in the Mediterranean context of Jijel city. A comparative analysis of thermal indices was done using RayMan model outcome, validated through field measurements and survey. The results highlighted a neutral temperature of 21.2°C and a comfort zone between 18.4°C and 23.9°C obtained via the physiological equivalent temperature index. The results revealed the importance of paving materials albedo on public open spaces thermal profile, and the need for a better knowledge of the thermoradiative properties of materials before their uses.
Parent Concrete Quality of Recycled Concrete Aggregates on Some Engineering Properties of Concrete
Get PDFThis paper aims to investigate some properties of recycled aggregates concrete (RAC) containing various amount of recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) supplied from different parent concrete strength. Three concretes with different strengths were made. After hardening, they were crushed and the obtained RCA were used to substitute 20%, 40% and 60% of coarse ordinary aggregates (COA) in concrete mix. The properties of these RCA according to their parent concrete strength were analyzed and their effects on the workability, compressive strength and shrinkage were quantified. Concrete workability and final shrinkage seem to be related to the equivalent water absorption of coarse recycled aggregates. An equivalent granular expression can be used in classical model to predict compressive strength according to the RCA content and its parent concrete strength.
