Band Gaps of structures based on concrete-steel and concrete-molybdenum. Comparison between structures with square and hexagonal periodicities
In this article, a study of the frequency dispersion curves of a periodic structure was made. The cell units of the base model are made of steel cylinders coated with a rubber layer embedded in a concrete thin mat. The results show the existence of three band gaps which means that we have no propagation waves. In second step, the steel core has been substituted with molybdenum. A noticeable shift towards the low frequencies has been achieved together with an improvement in the relative widths of the band gaps. In addition, a comparison of band gaps was made between a finites two-dimensional structure with square periodicity and hexagonal periodicity. The results showed that a square periodicity of a two-dimensional structure is more favourable for the field of civil engineering wich is necessary to be in a low frequencies
Studies on hardness and tensile testing of AlSi10Mg produced by selective laser melting
AlSi alloys have a wide range of applications in the Additive Manufacturing area, including automotive, aerospace, and residential industries. Despite their appealing mix of mechanical qualities, high heat conductivity, and low weight, they are more difficult to treat by Selective Laser Melting due to their high reflectivity and heat conductivity. In this work, samples were exposed to heat treatment at temperatures of 400°C, 500°C, and 550°C and an artificial ageing treatment for 180°C for 12h, to control the mechanical behaviour of selective-laser- melting (SLM)-produced AlSi10Mg alloys, after which material properties such as tensile strength and hardness were evaluated. The highest tensile and yield strengths are shown by the as-built SLM specimens, which have values of 432.45 and 322.76 MPa. On the other hand, the lowest tensile and yield strengths are shown by the solution heat-treated specimens, which have values of 168.11 and 90.52 MPa. Similar to as-built SLM specimens, the highest hardness value measured was 132.55Hv1.
Effect of Molecular Weight and Carboxylic Density of Polycarboxylates Ether Superplasticizer on Its performance in Cement Pastes
The main difficulty encountered in the formulation of high performance concrete (HPC) consists in choosing the most efficient cement-superplasticizer pair allowing to obtain maximum water reduction, good workability of the concrete in the fresh state and very good mechanical resistance in the hardened state. The aim of this work is to test the efficient of three polycarboxylate ether based superplasticizers (PCE) marketed in Algeria with CEMI 52.5 R cement and to study the effect of chemical structure of PCE on zeta potential, rheological and mechanical properties of cement pastes. The property of the polymers in cement was tested by a Malvern Zetasizer 2000 apparatus and VT 550 viscometer. Results showed that the zeta potential and its rheological properties are related with the molecular weight and the carboxylic density of PCE. The PCE with a moderate molecular weight and highest carboxylic groups had the best dispersion (high value of zeta potential) and lowest viscosity. The effect of chemical structure of PCEs on mechanical properties are evaluated by formulation of cement mortar with this PCEs, the result shows that there are a correlation between zeta potential of polymer and compressive strength of cement paste
الكتابة النسوية وخطاب الهيمنة وتغييب الهوية النسوية (مقاربة سيميائية لروايات فضيلة الفاروق).
Talking about the feminist creative experience is confusing, because it is primarily related to the reality of society; creativity is an art, first based on talent and then on freedom. The latter seems to be unclear in the Arab atmosphere, especially with regard to women's freedom. Therefore, it becomes more complex when writing is looking for deliverance from the social situation endured by woman because writing is an expression and a revelation before being a linguistic structure. This fact confirms the truth laying in every issue writing, and by issue, I inevitably mean the real pain felt by the author in himself and seen in others. Concerning woman, her first pain is to seek to establish rules of respect for her being and her thought independently. Thus, we will try through three novels by Fadhila al-Faruq, (The Mood of a Teenager “Mizadj morahiqa”, The Feminine Shame “Taa al khadjel”, The Discovery of Desire“ Iktichaf al chahwa”), to follow the patriarchal society project that works to absent woman as a voice, an act and a being, in order to impose its dominance and maintain its superiorit
الذات الأنثوية بين رغبة الباطن وعنف الخارج في الرّواية الأمازيغية. رواية "ثيزيري" (TIZIRI) لزهرة أودية أنموذجا.
Since its appearance, feminist writing has tried to strip the vril of masculine concentration, and expose its dominance and the authority of a society saturated with the exclusionary values of women, as it stirred the sensitivity of many writers and made them explode what was repressed and hidden. In this context, we encounter Algerian feminist novels, including those written in Tamazight, that deal with women’s issues and interests. The novel « TIZIRI » by Zahra Oudiya, which was published in 2020, is the blog that we will work on in this research paper, where we will try to identify some manifestations Authority in the novel versus the discourse of the current female rebellion and the proposed alternatives. What are the aspects of the author’s authority ? How was it represented in thise narrative building
الرواية العربية وسؤال مابعد الحداثة
The post-modernity stream proceeds to employ self-consciousness and narratives shift from the global to the partial narrative and from the public to the private and from the major to the minor ones. Can we talk about the minor narratives when returning to modernity narrative writing? And either the post-modernity is related to the intellectual, the cultural and the social changes or does it remain constricted to the philosophical streams inherited by the human thought and unable to change? Has post modernity ended as gone "Alan Kirby"? And whether the post-modernity stage in Arabic literature has finished in fact, thus will the Arab Spring Novel be as an official declaration to the return of the Arabic literature modernity
شعر شوقي بين سلطة النموذج وسلطة القراءة
This research paper stands on the poetry of Ahmed Shawqi - Al-Shawqiyat - and specifically on the idea of “the reference of the traditional model” in “Al-Shawqiyyat”, because the author of the poetic discourse is creative, the principle of imitation and the authority of the traditional model corresponds to its laws, and it is also a reading that searches for the multiplicity of powers of the poetic text “Al Shawqiyyat” ". Where did he derive it from various reference lines? In our example of the types of intertextualities (religious, historical, political), how is the poet born of culture? Then create it again. How did it affect the receiver in reading the text? In all of this, we need to read the poetic discourse according to the mechanisms of the theory of reading and receive, without neglecting the role of the poet in producing the importance or influence of the external social context
المسارات الدرامية في النص الشعري الملحون قراءة في تراجيديا حيزية
The melhoun poetic text represents a dramatic space, with its expressive charges that refer to a kind of hypothetical "performance" practice for characters moving through the pictorial paths of the text; And this is a feature that makes working on the drama of the text tantamount to digging into the elements forming it as a "diagnostic" given, As in Al-Melhoun, many formations interact to achieve / establish discursive spaces other than the linguistic discourse; Spaces that extend towards representing the dramatic elements of visionary scenes that are embodied in the narrative formation of the text, the dialogue formation, the personal formation, and the image formation. Hence, this research paper was a presentation of the dramatic elements and paths in the "Haizia" tragedy of IbnGaytoun, due to the richness of this poem of diagnostic elements that qualify it with distinction to take its performance / stage dimension
Influence of ground motion duration on seismic fragility of base isolated NPP structures
This study investigates the influence of earthquake duration on seismic fragility of base isolated nuclear power plant (NPP) structures. Two groups of ground motions are employed in performing time history analyses, in which short duration (SD) and long duration (LD) characteristics are considered. The advanced power reactor 1400 (APR1400) NPP structures are used for developing finite element model, which is constructed using lumped-mass stick elements. A series of 486 lead rubber bearings (LRBs) are installed under the base mat of the NPP structures to reduce the seismic damage. Seismic responses of the base isolated NPP are quantified in terms of lateral displacements and hysteretic energy distributions of LRBs. Seismic fragility curves for damage states, which are defined based on the deformation of LRB, are developed. The results reveal that the average lateral displacements of LRBs under SD and LD motions are very similar. For PGA larger than 0.4g, the mean deformation of LRB for LD motions is higher than that for SD motions. The probability of damage of base isolated NPP structures under LD motions is reduced approximately 15% compared to that asubjected to SD earthquakes. This finding emphasizes that it is crucial to use both SD and LD ground motions in seismic evaluations of base isolated NPP structure
تفكيك نسق الهيمنة في رواية فرسان الأحلام القتيلة لإبراهيم الكُوني
Creative discourses establish intellectual projects for building civilizations and the knowledge industry of all kinds, the diversity of their culture, and the maturity of their experience, thus presenting new visions that mimic social and political reality and create an epistemological debate in which the center reconciles with the periphery. Ibrahim El Kuni considers the literary work as a tool for change and enlightenment, directing the recipient towards a bright tomorrow through his fictional writings, similar to the “Knights of Dead Dreams” that our study tagged with: “Disassembling the system of domination in the novel The Knights of Dead Dreams by Ibrahim Al-Koni” in order to present His intellectual project and its foundations in dismantling the system of hegemony of power in the Arab world in the third millennium, in order to establish a social and political renaissance based on both individual and collective awareness
