    The Effect of the Problem Based Learning Model on Critical Thinking Skills in Indonesian Language Learning for Grade IV Students

    This research aims to investigate the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and its impact on the critical thinking abilities of fourth-grade students. A mixed-method design was employed, utilizing a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest format. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, questionnaires, documentation, and critical thinking assessments. Data analysis followed a Sequential Exploratory strategy, beginning with the collection of qualitative data and subsequently proceeding to quantitative analysis. The implementation of PBL was conducted in six structured sessions, which included icebreakers, group discussions, text analysis, sentence construction, story writing, and presentations. Results showed that PBL enhanced students' participation, motivation, self-confidence, and critical thinking skills, particularly in identifying problems, analyzing information, drawing logical conclusions, evaluating solutions, and communicating ideas. Quantitatively, the average pre-test score of 61.87 increased to 71.13 in the post-test, with a significant difference (t = -6.038; p < 0.05). Therefore, PBL positively influenced learning outcomes and fostered critical, creative, communicative, and collaborative competencies in language learning

    Penguatan Kecerdasan Emosional Melalui Model Pembelajaran Gerlach and Ely: Literatur Review

    Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu mengkaji integrasi kecerdasan emosional ke dalam pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model Gerlach and Ely yang berorientasi pada pendekatan yang sistematis. Penguatan kecerdasan emosional mencakup pengelolaan emosi, empati, keterampilan sosial, serta motivasi diri yang dapat meningkatkan interaksi sosial dan hasil belajar siswa. Dengan menitikberatkan pada dimensi emosional, model pembelajaran ini membantu peserta didik dalam mengelola emosi dan peningkatan dalam proses belajar. Model pembelajaran Gerlach and Ely menunjukkan bahwa efektif dalam menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang kondusif dan inklusif, dimana peserta didik lebih termotivasi dan mampu mengatasi tantangan emosional. Dengan demikian penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya integrasi kecerdasan emosional dalam setiap tahap pembelajaran untuk membentuk individu yang lebih peka secara sosial dan emosional.Abstract: This research aims to examine the integration of emotional intelligence into learning by applying the Gerlach and Ely model which is oriented towards a systematic approach. Strengthening emotional intelligence includes managing emotions, empathy, social skills, and self-motivation which can improve social interactions and student learning outcomes. By focusing on the emotional dimension, the learning model helps students manage emotions and improve the learning process. The Gerlach and Ely learning model shows that i tis effective in creating a conducive and inclusive learning environment, where students are more motivated and able to overcome emotional challenges. Thus, this research underlines the importance of integrating emotional intelligence in every stage of learning to form individuals who are more socially and emotionally sensitive.     The focus of this research is to find out how the use of QR Code digital media can improve the quality of students' PAI learning at SMP Negeri 1 Mojoagung. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach, with stages of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Learning quality is the component studied, which includes student satisfaction with the use of QR Code-based digital media, student motivation and engagement, impact on student understanding, and implementation difficulties. Students in class VIII A of SMP Negeri 1 Mojoagung are the subjects of this research. The research results show that the use of QR Code-based digital media in PAI learning helps students. This is because this media is considered fast, easy to understand and practical to use, making it more interesting compared to conventional learning media. Students also hope that QR Code-based digital media will be created for other subjects so that their enthusiasm for learning, quality of learning and learning outcomes will increase. After students answer the questionnaire, data is collected. This shows that 32 students averaged a score of 57 with a percentage of 75%. Therefore, the questionnaire results can be categorized as having an average score of 61%–80%, which means good. This research found that QR Code-based digital media can significantly improve the quality of learning if there is adequate infrastructure support

    This research aims to analyze the Islamic Education curriculum using the CIPP evaluation model. The method used is field research. The research results show that in the context of learning, students' low socioeconomic background affects their learning facilities. Nevertheless, the Islamic Education curriculum aligns with the school's vision of shaping students with noble character. In terms of input, Islamic Education teachers have met the standards set by the government, but they still face challenges due to lack of teaching materials and limited technological learning media. In the learning process, teachers consistently use diverse methods tailored to learning objectives and utilize technology, albeit with limitations. Regarding the product aspect, student learning outcomes are quite good, with nearly 75% reaching the minimum completion criteria. However, some students still cannot read the Quran, and there is a need for cooperation among various educational stakeholders

    This study explores the impact of implementing the independent curriculum on the motivation to learn Islamic education among Class X students at SMA Darul Ulum Medali Sugio Lamongan. The research aims to: (1) examine the implementation of the independent curriculum at SMA Darul Ulum Sugio Lamongan, (2) investigate the improvement in students' motivation to learn Islamic education, and (3) determine whether the implementation of the independent curriculum influences students' motivation. Employing a quantitative research method with a descriptive quantitative research design, the findings indicate: (1) The implementation of the independent curriculum at SMA Darul Ulum Sugio Lamongan is effective, with a percentage value of 71.3%. (2)The improvement in motivation to learn Islamic education in Class X is considered sufficient, with a percentage value of 69.8%. (3) A simple linear regression analysis using SPSS confirms that the implementation of the independent curriculum significantly influences students' motivation to learn Islamic education. The significance value of 0.003 confirms statistical significance; however, the calculated t-value of 0.302 is lower than the t-table value of 1.986, indicating a negative impact. These findings suggest that while the independent curriculum implementation significantly affects students' motivation, further research is necessary to understand potential challenges or limitations within its execution

    Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Anak Usia Dini Melalui Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek

    One of the important competencies that must be possessed by children in the 21st century is the ability to think critically. This study aims to find the right method for early childhood in improving critical thinking skills. Project-based learning is predicted to improve children's thinking skills in a fun and meaningful way according to learning in early childhood. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that project-based learning is directly proportional to critical thinking skills. High questioning ability with a percentage of 95.65% is directly proportional to projects focused on questions or problems with a percentage of 94.90%. Similarly, low analytical skills with a large percentage of 79.23% are directly proportional to projects that have development stages where children can solve problems with a large percentage of 79.00%. Project-based learning methods are proven to improve children's critical thinking skills by involving children in the learning process optimally.Salah satu kompetensi yang penting dan harus dimiliki oleh anak pada abad 21 adalah kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari metoda yang tepat bagi anak usia dini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Pembelajaran berbasis proyek diprediksi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir anak dengan cara yang menyenangkan dan juga bermakna sesuai pembelajaran pada anak usia dini. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek berbanding lurus dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kemampuan bertanya yang tinggi dengan prosentasi sebesar 95,65 % berbanding lurus dengan proyek yang difokuskan pada pertanyaan atau masalah dengan prosentasi sebesar 94,90 %. Demikian pula dengan kemampuan analisis yang rendah dengan besar prosentasi yaitu 79,23 % berbanding lurus dengan proyek yang memiliki tahapan pengembangan dimana anak dapat memecahkan masalah dengan besar prosentase terbilang 79,00%. Metode pembelajaran berbasis proyek terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak dengan pelibatan anak dalam proses pembelajaran secara optimal

    Early childhood development can be influenced by the learning atmosphere in the classroom. Therefore, classroom management is very important to create an effective classroom atmosphere and conditions in supporting the development of social-emotional development of early childhood students. This study aims to describe the application of classroom management in TK Lab. STAI YPBWI Surabaya. This descriptive qualitative research involved the principal and class teachers as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Qualitative data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The research findings show that: 1) classroom management in TK Lab. STAI YPBWI Surabaya includes: a) physical arrangement and classroom environment, b) management of time and study schedule, c) use of personal affective approach in teacher and student interaction, d) Involvement of children in classroom management; 2) the impact of classroom management on social emotional development is seen in the progress of children's ability to interact positively, such as sharing play equipment, waiting for their turn, apologizing, and helping friends who are having difficulties. In addition, children appear more open in expressing their feelings, both to teachers and peers, and are able to recognize and name basic emotions such as happy, angry, sad, and afraid. Through the involvement of children in classroom management, children learn about self-discipline, can foster habits of responsible attitudes, in problem solving and decision making.Tumbuh kembang Anak Usia Dini dapat dipengaruhi oleh suasana pembelajaran di kelas. Oleh karena Pengelolaan kelas sangat penting dalam  menunjang perkembangan sosial emonisonal anak usia dini agar tercipta suasana dan kondisi kelas yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan manajemen pengelolaan kelas di TK Lab. STAI YPBWI Surabaya. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini melibatkan kepala sekolah dan guru kelas sebagai subyek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui obsevasi, wawancara, dan dokumen analisis. Analisis data kualitatif dilakukan dengan tahapan reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) pengelolaan kelas di TK Lab. STAI YPBWI Surabaya meliputi: a) penataan fisik dan lingkungan kelas, b) pengelolaan waktu dan jadwal belajar, c) penggunaan pendekatan afektif personal dalam interkasi guru dan murid, d) Pelibatan anak dalam pengaturan kelas; 2) dampak pengelolaan kelas terhadap perkembangan sosial emosional tampak pada adanya kemajuan kemampuan anak dalam berinteraksi secara positif, seperti berbagi alat bermain, menunggu giliran, meminta maaf, dan membantu teman yang kesulitan. Selain itu anak-anak terlihat lebih terbuka dalam mengekspresikan perasaan, baik kepada guru maupun teman sebaya, serta mampu mengenali dan menyebutkan emosi dasar seperti senang, marah, sedih, dan takut. Melalui pelibatan anak dalam pengaturan kelas anak-anak belajar tentang disiplin diri, dapat menumbuhkan pembiasaan sikap bertanggung jawab, dalam penyelesaian masalah dan pengambilan keputusan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran manajemen mutu akreditasi dalam meningkatkan trust masyarakat yang berdampak pada meningkatnya minat masyarakat untuk menyekolahkan anak-anaknya di MTs. Sunan Ampel Kebet Lamongan. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada pentingnya akreditasi tidak hanya sebagai bentuk penilaian formal, tetapi juga sebagai instrumen strategis untuk membangun reputasi dan meningkatkan mutu layanan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala madrasah, guru, komite madrasah, serta perwakilan orang tua/wali murid; observasi terhadap kegiatan madrasah; dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen mutu akreditasi di MTs. Sunan Ampel Kebet Lamongan dilakukan secara terstruktur melalui pemenuhan standar nasional pendidikan, peningkatan kompetensi guru, perbaikan sarana prasarana, serta penguatan komunikasi dengan masyarakat. Setelah memperoleh akreditasi “A”, madrasah ini mengalami peningkatan signifikan dalam jumlah pendaftar baru dan perubahan positif dalam persepsi masyarakat. Kepercayaan masyarakat yang meningkat terbukti menjadi faktor utama bertambahnya minat menyekolahkan anak di madrasah tersebut. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa manajemen mutu akreditasi berperan penting tidak hanya sebagai proses administratif, tetapi juga sebagai upaya membangun budaya mutu yang berdampak langsung pada reputasi dan kepercayaan publik. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi madrasah dan sekolah lain dalam mengembangkan strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan

    This thesis discusses the implementation of the Ummi Method Munaqashah Program as a form of children’s domain-based learning of the Qur’an at TPQ Mafatihul Huda Mantup Lamongan using qualitative research and a descriptive approach. The aim of this research is to determine the application of the Ummi method munaqashah program as a form of existence of child-friendly based Al Qur’an learning at TPQ Mafatihul Huda Mantup Lamongan and the supporting and inhibiting factors of implementing the Ummi method munaqashah program as a form of existence of friendly based Al Qur’an learning children at TPQ Mafatihul Huda Mantup Lamongan. To obtain data in this research, researchers used data collection techniques including: observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman’s interactive model including data collection, data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research: 1) The implementation of the Ummi method munaqashah program is carried out once a year as a form of the existence of Al Qur’an learning and has brought many changes to the reading of TPQ Mafatihul Huda students for the better, this approach provides a fun and effective approach for students. Students in accordance with child-friendly based learning. The stages of the munaqashah process are: pra munaqashah, munaqashah tartil, munaqashah tahfidz, khotmil qur’an and Imtihan 2) Factors that support this munaqashah program are support from foundations, certified ustadz and ustadzah, the role of parents, guidance and additional time for preparations for munaqashah. The inhibiting factors are a lack of motivation to learn, the influence of gadgets, and children’s abilities that do not meet targets. However, there needs to be a joint effort to improve the quality of learning and support given to students between TPQ, parents and teachers as the most important supporting and inhibiting factor

    Pembelajaran Fikih Humanistik Program M2KD untuk Moderasi Beragama Santri Mambaul Ulum Pamekasan

    This study examines the humanistic and moderate-oriented model of classical fiqh learning in the M2KD Program at Pesantren Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Findings reveal four key points: (1) humanistic values emerge through egalitarian, dialogical, and reflective learning; (2) fiqh instruction applies an accelerative, multi-level strategy based on the zone of proximal development; (3) moderation is fostered through discursive methods emphasizing tasamuh, ta‘adul, and tawazun; and (4) M2KD integrates classical text mastery with inclusive character formation. This model balances tradition and contemporary relevance.Penelitian ini mengkaji model pembelajaran fikih klasik berbasis humanistik dan moderatif dalam Program M2KD di Pesantren Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata Pamekasan dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen, lalu dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat temuan utama. Pertama, nilai humanistik tercermin dalam relasi egaliter, dialogis, dan pembelajaran reflektif berbasis musyawarah. Kedua, transformasi pembelajaran dilakukan melalui strategi akseleratif berbasis multi-level dan zona perkembangan proksimal. Ketiga, moderasi beragama diinternalisasikan melalui metode diskursif dan penguatan sikap tasamuh, ta‘adul, dan tawazun. Keempat, M2KD menghasilkan model pembelajaran fikih moderat yang memadukan penguasaan teks klasik dengan pembentukan karakter inklusif
