The Implementation of a Five-Foundation-Based Curriculum for Building Student Character
This study aims to analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a five-foundation-based curriculum in shaping students’ character at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Plus Asy-Syukriyyah. Using a qualitative field study approach, data were collected through observations, interviews with teachers and school administrators, and documentation of learning activities and flagship programs. The analysis was conducted descriptively through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that curriculum planning was collaboratively developed through teaching modules emphasizing the integration of character values. Implementation was manifested in daily spiritual routines such as dhuha prayer, dhikr Al-Ma'tsurat, and the recitation of Asmaul Husna, as well as flagship programs such as Islamic Personal Development Program, Islamic Exhibition Event, Night of Faith and Piety Development, Shaum Sunnah, Tahajud call, and Maghrib Mengaji. Program evaluation was conducted regularly through coordination between the teachers and Dewan Lembaga Pendidikan Islam (LPI) or Islamic Educational Institution Council to ensure alignment with objectives. The study's novelty lies in its focus on the five-foundation-based curriculum, a model rarely examined in prior research, that integrates academic, spiritual, and moral dimensions within a cohesive character education framework. The findings contribute to understanding how a value-based curriculum can effectively cultivate holistic student character in Islamic elementary education
The Cerita Kita Website: Enhancing Elementary Students’ Multiliteracy and Literary Appreciation through a Local Wisdom-Based Ecocriticism Approach
This study developed the "Cerita Kita" website, integrating ecocriticism and local wisdom to enhance elementary students' multiliteracy and literary appreciation. Using design-based research with the ADDIE framework, the prototype's validity was measured through expert validation (CVI=0.89-0.91), practicality via implementation success rate (88%) and System Usability Scale (SUS=81.4), and effectiveness through stratified ecocriticism assessments and reflective journals. The study involved 84 fourth-graders in urban (n=33) and rural (n=51) Malang, Indonesia. Quantitative data analysis employed descriptive statistics and paired t-tests, showing significant multiliteracy gains, particularly in ecological awareness (rural: 78.6±18.3; urban: 56.4±21.7; p<0.01). Qualitative thematic analysis revealed that rural students' cultural connections drove their 39.2% superiority in environmental applications. The Coban Rondo legend proved most effective (87% ecological interpretation accuracy). Results demonstrate that cultural anchoring—not technological sophistication—is pivotal for digital multiliteracy, offering a sustainable model for Global South educational contexts that prioritizes cultural narratives over complex technology to achieve SDG 4.7 goals
Strategi Guru PAI dalam Menginternalisasikan Nilai Spiritual di Kalangan Siswa Era Digital (Studi Kasus di SMK PGRI 1 Pasuruan)
Digital technology greatly influences students’ moral and spiritual development. The rapid flow of information often decreases students’ spiritual awareness. This condition requires Islamic Education (PAI) teachers to apply effective strategies in instilling spiritual values. This study aims to describe the strategies of PAI teachers in internalizing spiritual values in the digital era. The research used a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that PAI teachers apply direct guidance, motivation, and student participation in religious activities while serving as role models through discipline and piety. Supporting factors include school support, worship facilities, and teacher collaboration, while obstacles include low student interest, social media influence, limited time, and lack of parental involvement.Perkembangan teknologi digital berpengaruh besar terhadap pembentukan moral dan spiritual peserta didik. Arus informasi yang cepat sering menyebabkan penurunan kesadaran spiritual siswa. Kondisi ini menuntut guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) memiliki strategi efektif dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai keagamaan di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan strategi guru PAI dalam menginternalisasikan nilai spiritual di era digital. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAI menerapkan pembimbingan langsung, pemberian motivasi, dan pelibatan siswa dalam kegiatan keagamaan sekolah. Guru juga menjadi teladan melalui kedisiplinan dan sikap religius. Faktor pendukung meliputi dukungan sekolah, sarana ibadah, dan kolaborasi guru, sedangkan hambatannya adalah rendahnya minat siswa, pengaruh media sosial, waktu terbatas, serta kurangnya peran orang tua
Pembiasaan Keagamaan melalui Kelas Mengaji dalam Membentuk Karakter Religius Siswa di SMP Hasan Munadi Beji Pasuruan
This study describes the implementation and impact of religious habituation through Quranic recitation classes in shaping the religious character of students at Hasan Munadi Beji Pasuruan Middle School. A qualitative case study approach was used, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. The results indicate that the Quranic recitation class program was implemented in a planned manner through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. This program had a positive impact on improving the ability to read the Quran and developing students' religious character, such as diligent worship, noble character, discipline, tolerance, and understanding of Islamic teachings.Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan implementasi dan dampak pembiasaan keagamaan melalui kelas mengaji dalam membentuk karakter religius siswa di SMP Hasan Munadi Beji Pasuruan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program kelas mengaji dilaksanakan secara terencana melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Efektivitas Media Kahoot terhadap Hasil Belajar Al-Qur’an Hadis
The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using Kahoot as a learning media to improve student learning outcomes in the Quran subject in class X-6 MAN 1 Gresik. Students show low enthusiasm and motivation to learn despite achieving the minimum passing grade (KKM). This study uses a quantitative approach. It uses a one-group pre-test-post-test pre-experimental design with a sample of 38 students selected purposively. Pretest, post test, observation, and questionnaires are the methods used to collect data. The research results show that students' learning outcomes before and after the use of Kahoot changed significantly; the average score increased from 80.71 to 93.58, and the t-test showed a t-value of 21.453, with a significance of 0.000 <0.05.82% of students said the material was easier to understand and 92% preferred learning with Kahoot. Kahoot helps students learn about the Quran, according to research.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa efektif penggunaan media pembelajaran Kahoot untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Al-Qur’an di kelas X-6 MAN 1 Gresik. Siswa menunjukkan antusiasme dan motivasi belajar yang rendah meskipun nilai akademik mencapai KKM. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Ini menggunakan desain pre-eksperimental satu grup pretest-post-test dengan sampel 38 siswa yang dipilih secara purposive. Pretest, posttest, observasi, dan angket adalah metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan Kahoot berubah secara signifikan; nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 80,71 menjadi 93,58, dan uji-t menunjukkan nilai t-hitung 21,453, dengan signifikansi 0,000 <0,05. 82% siswa mengatakan materi lebih mudah dipahami dan 92% lebih menyukai pembelajaran dengan Kahoot. Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Islam Perspektif Ki Hajar Dewantara dalam Tradisi Lokal Selamatan Rumah (Selamatan Bungko) di Dusun Kumalabaru
The Selamatan Bungko tradition in Kumalabaru Hamlet is carried out as a prayer ritual for a newly built house so that it may bring blessings, protection, and comfort to its residents. However, along with the changing times, there have been several modifications in its practice, such as shortening the duration of the burdah recitation and omitting the adhan on one of the house pillars. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with observation and interview methods, this study reveals that the Selamatan Bungko embodies several values: the value of silaturrahmi, which strengthens social relations; the value of mutual assistance, which reflects the spirit of gotong royong (communal cooperation); and the value of exemplarity derived from the recitation of qasidah burdah. Based on Émile Durkheim’s functionalism theory, this tradition also serves as a means of reinforcing social solidarity and internalizing Islamic values in community life.Tradisi Selamatan Bungko di Dusun Kumalabaru dilakukan dalam rangka mendoakan rumah yang baru dibangun agar mendapatkan keberkahan, perlindungan, dan kenyamanan bagi penghuninya. Namun, seiring dengan perkembangan zaman terdapat beberapa perubahan dalam praktik tradisi ini, seperti pemotongan durasi pembacaan burdah dan penghilangan azan di salah satu tiang rumah. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Selamatan Bungko mengandung nilai silaturrahmi yang mempererat hubungan sosial, nilai tolong-menolong yang mencerminkan semangat gotong royong, dan nilai keteladanan yang diperoleh dari pembacaan qasidah burdah. Berdasarkan teori fungsionalisme Émile Durkheim, tradisi ini juga sebagai sarana untuk memperkuat solidaritas sosial dan internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam dalam kehidupan masyarakat
Development of Diorama Media in Science Subject for 5th Grade Elementary Student
Observations carried out by researchers in class V SDIT Ar Rayyan Surabaya found that the media used in the science and science subjects in class V SDIT Ar Rayyan did not use diorama media. This research aimed to determine the level of validity, effectiveness, and practicality of Terrarium Ecosystem Diorama media using the R&D method with the ADDIE model because the work stages are systematic, each phase is evaluated and revised, so the resulting product becomes a valid product. The data collection techniques used are validity, effectiveness, and practicality tests, use the following data collection techniques: Validation Sheet, Test Sheet, Student Response Sheet. Then the data analysis technique used is a descriptive analysis technique that calculates the percentage value of the results, the results is Terrarium Ecosystem Diorama Media gets a media validity value of 95.5% and a material validity value of 92.69%, which is the percentage included in the very valid category. Testing the effectiveness of this medium resulted in 85% of students achieving the KKTP score. This media practicality test received a percentage score of 84% and was included in the very practical criteria. Therefore, this Terrarium Ecosystem Diorama media can be stated as valid, effective, and practical
The Influence of Fraction Puzzle Media on the Mathematical Concept Understanding Ability of Elementary School Students
This research aims to determine the effect of fraction puzzle media on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. This research was conducted at SDN Petir 04 in class III, the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The research samples in this study were class III-B students as the experimental class and class III-C students as the control class, which were obtained using cluster random sampling techniques. The test given is an essay with seven questions. The statistical analysis using the Independent Sample T-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. This confirms that students in the experimental class, who were taught using fraction puzzle media, demonstrated better conceptual understanding than those in the control class, who received conventional instruction. The fraction puzzle media enhances learning by providing a hands-on, interactive experience that helps students visualize and manipulate fraction concepts more effectively. This approach facilitates deeper comprehension, reduces misconceptions, and improves problem-solving skills related to fractions. Therefore, integrating fraction puzzle media into mathematics instruction can effectively enhance students’ conceptual understanding and engagement in learning fractions
The Effect of the Project Based Learning Model on the Reading Comprehension Ability of Students in Grade V of SD Negeri 101600 Purba Bangun
This study investigates the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the reading comprehension skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 101600 Purbabangun, a public elementary school located in Sukamulia, Padang Lawas Utara Regency, North Sumatra Province. In this school, many students demonstrate fluency in reading but face difficulties in comprehending texts critically. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. A total of 40 fifth-grade students were selected through purposive sampling and divided into two groups: an experimental group taught using the PBL model and a control group taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, classroom observations, and student response questionnaires. An independent sample t-test was used for data analysis at a 5% significance level. The results showed a significant difference in reading comprehension between the two groups, with a p-value of 0.0424 (p < 0.05). These findings demonstrate that the PBL model effectively enhances students’ reading comprehension, particularly in developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
