    Kualitas Organoleptik dan Mikrobiologis Daging Domba Menggunakan Ekstrak Pangium Edule Terhadap Masa Simpan

    Pangium edule or keluwak is a local spice that can extend the shelf life of livestock products because it contains antimicrobial compounds. This study aimed to determine the effect of marination using Pangium edule on the microbiological and organoleptic quality of lamb. This study used a factorial completely randomized design to treat Pangium edule concentration and shelf life of 3 replications each. Lamb meat was marinated using Pangium edule extract 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9%, then stored at 12 hours, 24 hours, and 36 hours at room temperature. The results showed that the longer the meat's shelf life, the microbial growth also increased, but marination using Pangium edule resulted in lower microbial growth than without treatment. The treatment of lamb marination with 3% and 6% Pangium edule extract showed the lowest microbes and was very significantly different from lamb without treatment for 36 hours. Its means that the antibacterial compound in Pangium edule can inhibit microbial growth and is still by the standards set by SNI compared to the control. Marination using Pangium edule extract during the shelf life also significantly affected the panelists' acceptance level, namely aroma, taste, tenderness, and color. Organoleptic scores, namely smell, taste, tenderness, and color at 6% to 9% with a shelf life of 36 hours, are still in a fairly good range. Marination using Pangium edule 6% can maintain the microbiological and organoleptic lamb quality for 36 hours

    The government's demand to improve the quality of production and business development not in accordance with a condition of development of seaweed cultivation in Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi as a center for seaweed development, which is still relatively low. The low production and quality were influenced by various factors. This study aims were to identify the structure of the seaweed supply chain, analyze post-harvest handling, and describe the quality of seaweed in Bantaeng Regency. The total sample of 27 respondents taken by purposive sampling. This research used a qualitative descriptive approach and SWOT analysis. The results showed that the seaweed supply chain business actors in Bantaeng Regency were still in the open market negotiation process with their respective roles. Farmers play a role in seaweed farming activities, traders collectors play a role as an intermediary for information. Providers of capital for farmers and the quality of seaweed in this area is still relatively low

    Okra has many benefits as a functional food that can reduce blood sugar. The production of okra in Indonesian has not achieved maximum results, so needed a research to increase okra production. This study aims to find out the right composition of planting media, optimum concentration of organic tofu liquid fertilizer, determine the combination of planting media composition and concentration of organic tofu liquid waste fertilizer which can increase the growth and yield of okra plants. This research was conducted in Januari 2020 until April 2020 at the Greenhouse of the Organic Vegetable Pager Gunung, Melung village. Baturaden in Banyumas Regency. The experimental design used a Complete Randomized Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors. The first factor is the composition of the planting medium, namely soil, soil + husk charcoal, soil + bokashi + husk charcoal. The second factor is the concentration of organic tofu liquid waste fertilizer, namely control, 20%, 40%, and 60%. The observed variables were plant height, stem diametre, number of leaves, leaf area, root length, flowering time, number of fruits, fruit weigh, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight. The data obtained were analyzed by DSTAAT. Further tests using DMRT at a level of 5%. The results showed that the best application media is soil + bokashi + husk charcoal which produces a plant height of 63.33 cm, stem diametre 10.11 cm, number of leaves 8.61 strands, leaf areas 1066.76 cm3, flowering time 46.97 day, number of fruits 3.38, fruit weight 41.48 g, fresh weight of plants at 102.01 g and dry weight of plants at 12.98 g. Provision of soil + husk charcoal produces a root length at 37.13 cm. Application of tofu waste fertilizer with a concentration was not able to increase the growth and yield of okra

    The activity test of liquid smoke obtained from bengkirai wood (Shorea leavis Ridl)against Schizophyllum commune was evaluated. Two types of liquid smoke from bengkirai wood (Shorea leavis Ridl) was produced at 350° and 450°C. This study aims to evaluate the antifungal properties of liquid smoke from bengkirai wood in inhibiting the growth of S. commune in vitro. Potato dextrose agar (PDA) medium for the efficacy of the liquid smoke of bengkirai wood on the growth of S. commune fungus. Efficacy of liquid smoke of bengkirai wood against S. commune with a completely randomized factorial design, namely temperature pyrolysis of liquid smoke (350° and 450°C) and concentration of liquid smoke (0%, 0.5%, 1.0% and 1.5%, v/v). The results showed that liquid smoked produced at 350° and 450°C exhibited thorough inhibition of growth of S. commune at 1.5%

    Pertumbuhan Bibit Lada (Piper nigrum L.) pada Media Pembibitan dan Waktu Aplikasi Pupuk NPK

    The aim of this study was to determine the effect of seeding media, the time difference in NPK fertilizer application, and the responses between the two on the growth of pepper cuttings. The first factor is the composition of the planting medium, consisting of a mixture of river sand + husk charcoal, river sand + compost, husk charcoal + compost, and river sand + husk charcoal + compost. The second factor is the application time of NPK fertilizer (P) which consists of 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks after planting. The initial condition of the cuttings at the initial fertilization was 2 MSPT, namely the age of 35 DAS. The experiment was repeated 3 times and each experiment consisted of 2 seeds. The homogeneity of the inter-treatment variance used the Bartlett test and the additivity of the data with the Tukey test was followed by an orthogonal comparison test of contrast and polynomial at the ? 5% level. The results showed that the best nursery media for the growth of pepper cuttings were river sand + compost on 4, 8, 12 MSPT leaves, fresh weight, and shoot dry weight. In addition, the time of application of NPK fertilizer to the growth of pepper cuttings did not differ in all observed variables. The results also showed that there was an interaction between the nursery media and the time of NPK fertilizer application on the growth of pepper cuttings. The use of river sand media + husk charcoal was linear with the addition of 1 MSPT NPK fertilizer application time and increased the total number of roots by 2.0 roots. Media sand times + husk charcoal + compost at the time of the optimum application of 5.2 MSPT NPK fertilizer produced the highest number of roots is 18.92 roots

    The sorghum-cassava intercropping system is a solution to the limited land for planting sorghum in Lampung Province, which is a cassava production area. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the cropping system on the growth, production, and vigor of the six months' shelf life of the seeds of five sorghum genotypes. The research was conducted on agricultural land in Karang Endah Village, Jati Agung Subdistrict, South Lampung Regency (5.28° SL 105.27° EL) at 82.3 masl and at the Laboratory of Seed and Plant Breeding, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung. The experiment was arranged factorial in a split-plot and repeated as 2 blocks. The main plot was a cropping system consisting of a monoculture cropping system (p1) and an intercropping system (p2). Subplots consist of five sorghum genotypes consisting of Pahat (g1), GHP-1 (g2), GHP-3 (g3), GHP-5 (g4), GH-33 (g5). The sorghum that is planted intercropping with cassava is between 2 rows of cassava plants with 15 cm spacing in rows. On every two rows of cassava, a row of sorghum is planted. The spacing of cassava is 80 cm x 60 cm. The results showed that the intercropping system affected the number of leaves but showed better results at 71.20 g stover dry weight for GHP-1 and 50.10 SPAD for GH-33 for leaf greenness. The difference in cropping systems affected the productivity of sorghum seeds on seed weight per panicle, namely 31.83 g for GHP-3 which showed the largest yield compared to other genotypes but had no effect on the number of seeds per panicle. The treatment of five sorghum genotypes affected the germination rate by 36.83% / day for GH-33 and total normal germination by 84.50% for GH-33. Strong normal sprouts were 89% found in GH-33 from monoculture crops

    Siderophore is an iron-chelating agent produced by plants and microorganisms under iron deficiency conditions. One of the microorganisms that ability produce siderophore is a fungus. This study aimed to determine the potential of endophytic fungi in creating siderophore. The ability of fungi to produce siderophore, especially Salicylate and Catechol using Potato Dextrose Broth (PDB) liquid media and Hathway Reagent. Eight isolates of endophytic fungi from local rice South Sulawesi have tested their ability to produce siderophore. Eight isolates of endophytic fungi before being tested were rejuvenated by growing on Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) medium for seven days. Each isolate was grown on a PDB medium before being tested. The absorbance is measured using a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 560 nm with Na. Salicylate 700 nm with 2.3 DHBA as standard. The results showed that the isolates of E4 and E8 had the capability to produce siderophores. The results provide the latest information regarding endophytic fungi' potential from local rice in South Sulawesi as a siderophore producer

    Until now, small crab cultivation in fishing ponds has not been well developed in Mattiro Bombang Village. This is because the crab population along Salemo Island and Sabangko Island is decreasing, leaving the need for crab meat for export unmet. The limited availability of natural seeds among fishing groups has resulted in the small crab cultivation business, initiated last year, also experiencing a decline in production. The PPDM team cares about the problems experienced by fishermen. The next step taken by the team is to provide a training program on crab hatchery technology to the Independent Fishermen Group and the Living Together Fishermen Group. Implementation of PPDM activities uses lecture, discussion, and training methods. The developments obtained after the training show the progress of fishermen's knowledge and the very rapid increase in crab production in the last few months. However, various things still have to be implemented to obtain satisfactory results and improve the economic level of fishermen. One thing fishermen can implement is to produce their crab seeds to solve the problem of a shortage of seeds in anticipation of the development of crab enlargement which is expected to accelerate in the next decade

    This study aims to determine the Application of Accrual Based Accounting Standards in the Compilation of Financial Statements in Enrekang District Government and to determine the factors that influence in the Implementation of Accrual Based Accounting Standards in the Compilation of Financial Statements in Enrekang District Government. The research method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The results show that the application of accrual-based accounting standards in the preparation of financial reports has been implemented but in 2016 has not been fully implemented and in 2017 has been fully implemented following Government Regulation No. 71 of 2010 concerning the Application of Government Accounting Standards. The factors that influence the Application of Accrual Based Accounting Standards in the Compilation of Financial Statements in Enrekang District Government namely Human Resources (HR) and Facilities and Target are both very influential in the preparation of financial statements.

    This study aims to see the budgeting system used by the Dinas Pekerjaan Umum of Parepare City in implementing work programs. This research is qualitative, which using interviews as the required data technique. The method of analysis used is descriptive analysis method in explaining the research results from observations and interviews, with sample of research is that government officials within Dinas Pekerjaan Umum of Parepare City which have 18 structural positions. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling, which determines the sample is used due to certain considerations (time, cost, and labor limitations). The results of this study indicate that the Dinas Pekerjaan umum of Parepare City in preparing the budget using to complete existing programs is in accordance with budget preparation. So that, the budget used is accordance with performance based budgeting system that prioritizes the results and impacts of work programs that have been implemented and can help regions in making the main budget for the development of Parepare City effective and efficient, although there are still findings by auditors regarding several things that are not in accordance with reality in the field. However, it can be accounted for and improvements are made to maintain the objectives to be achieved by the Dinas Pekerjaan Umum of Parepare City
