    Onion farmers in Enrekang district are scattered in almost every sub-district, one of them is in Baraka sub-district. The produced shallots are very abundant but unfortunately this is not enough to sustain the farmers' economy, this is due to the weak value of creativity due to limited science and technology utilization, onion marketing which is still traditional by relying on local local markets and collectors so that the selling price is relatively low. The goal to be achieved in this activity is to foster a spirit of creativity of the farmers in order to increase the value of economic prosperity. By way of training and coaching for the sake of giving birth to products and business spirit, starting with a review of market opportunities, market sales promotion techniques both in a modern and online way supported by good management and accountable financial management. The product offering is fried onions using simple technology in the form of Multy Cutters as a cutting tool and spinner machine as an oil filter. The activities carried out through several stages, namely: (1) the stage of program socialization, (2) the training stage for empowerment of farmer groups, (3) the stage of skills development and (4) the stage of monitoring and evaluation. The results carried out in this activity can increase knowledge and skills and can increase the economic income of citizens

    The purpose of this study was to determine the potential and benefits of medicinal plants found in production forests in Sinoa District, Bantaeng Regency. The type of data collected was quantitative and qualitative data, including types and quantities of medicinal plants, local names, parts of plants used, and types of diseases that can be treated with these plants. Vegetation analysis results showed that the diversity of medicinal plants as many as 13 species from 10 families. Vegetation which has the greatest potential at the level of the tree namely Pinus (Pinus mercusii) with a potential of 194, at the pole level was Avocado (Persea gratissima) with a potential of 100, at the sapling level namely Coffee (Coffea arabica) with a potential of 640, and at the seedling level ie Bandotan (Ageratum conyzoides) with the greatest potential is 17500. Plant parts that utilized were leaves, roots, fruits, seeds, sap, and bark. All of these parts used to treat diseases such as shortness of breath, headache, toothache, cough, diarrhea, fever, malaria, high blood pressure, diabetes, suppurating ulcers, beriberi, immune system, festering skin inflammation, and increasing brain intelligence. Besides that it can treat kidney stones, wounds, sore throat, eye medication, dry the wound, neutralize the poison boils, canker sores, bruises, swelling, and sprains

    Seeding media have a large role in helping to accelerate germination and seed will have a different response to certain media. Seeding media is needed so that the potential viability of seeds can be optimal. Media in nurseries have a large role in helping accelerate budding. The study was conducted in the greenhouse of the Laing Solok Experimental Garden, West Sumatra. The research aimed to know the composition of the media that can improve the viability of cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmanii) seeds. The study was arranged in a completely randomized design with 7 treatments: wastes ash distillation of citronella, burnt husk, sawdust, soil + wastes ash distillation citronella, ground + burnt husk, sand, and soil. All experiment treatment were repeated 5 times. Each treatment was used 30 seeds of cinnamon with a spacing of 5 x 5 cm. The parameters observed included percentage of growth, vegetative growth (seed height, number of leaves, leaf length and leaf width), root length, number of roots, biomass (wet and dry weight of seeds, root wet and dry weight). The results showed that the best growing media for recalcitrant cinnamon seeds were sawdust and soil + ash of citronella refining waste. The growth percentage of the two media were 76.00% and 64.00% respectively, the best vegetative growth, with the wet weight of the seeds respectively 0.74 g and 0.71 g, root wet weight 0.19 and 0.13 g, seed dry weight of 0.25 and 0.23 g, root dry weight of 0.11 and 0.06 g. The best total leaf chlorophill content in both types of media was 0.026 and 0.034

    This engineering aims to determine the effect of the dose of vitamin plus administration on artificial feed on the growth, survival, and RNA / DNA ratio of tiger prawn larvae (Penaeus monodon, Fabr). The study was compiled using four vitamin Plus dose treatments, and each experimental unit had two cycles. The treatments used were: giving vitamin plus 5 mL/kg, 10 mL/kg, 15 mL/kg in artificial feed, and control without giving vitamin plus. The results showed that the average weight gain during tiger prawns' engineering activity was observed to increase over time. Absolute growth of tiger prawns with the addition of vitamin plus dose of 15 mL/kg was the highest total growth, which was 101.77 ± 0.29 g, and the lowest was in control 83.07 ± 2.87 g. The highest daily growth rate was the addition of vitreous plus a dose of 10 mL/kg 1.47 ± 0.01% / day, and the lowest was the control, namely 1.10 ± 0.02% / day. Furthermore, the addition of vitamin plus with 10 mL/kg showed the highest survival value was 96.2 ± 1.6%, and the lowest was in control, namely 84.7 ± 0.6%. The highest to lowest survival rates were ten treatment doses, respectively; 15; 20 mL/kg, and control. The highest RNA / DNA ratio value of tiger prawns was produced at the addition of a dose of 15 mL/kg of 1.025 ± 0.029, and the lowest was at a quantity of 5 mL/kg, namely 0.618 ± 0.05

    Gapoktan Tani Makmur is an association of farmer groups in Kartoharjo Village. The main product of Gapoktan is semi-organic fertilizer, namely organic NPK super granule with the trademark was ASLI (Alami Subur Lestari Indonesia). The problem faced is that Gapoktan is very dependent on factory microbes that were no longer produced in Purbalingga. There are many potential sources of beneficial local microorganisms, one of which comes from banana weevils. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of adoption and to analyze the factors that influence the adoption rate as the basis for the design of education about the manufacture of banana weevil MOL in Gapoktan Tani Makmur. Also, to determine the implementation, evaluate education based on the level of adoption and the factors that influence it. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey method for data collection. The sampling technique uses random cluster sampling. The results showed that the measurement of the adoption rate before counseling was in the very high category of 82.9%, with the regression line equation Y = -2.695 + 0.124X1 - 0.558X2 + 2.182X3 + 1.958X4, with a determination coefficient of 0.829 or 82.9% . It means that the variable age (X1), an education level (X2), attitude towards change (X2), and courage at risk (X2) simultaneously affect the innovation adoption variable (Y) by 82.9%. Simultaneously, the rest is influenced by other variables or variables not studied. The extension's design follows the measurement of adoption rate and its influencing factors. The extension material includes the meaning, benefits, advantages, and MOL content of banana weevils for super organic NPK fertilizer. Real-life media outreach, PPT slides, and leaflets with adjuncts, lectures, and demonstrations. Evaluation of the extension design application, namely, evaluating the adoption rate of 38 target people with a very high category of 86.4%

    This study aims to find out how much the participation of the local government in PDAM Parepare City and to know the effect of the participation of the regional government capital on the performance of the Municipal Water Company (PDAM) of Parepare City. The data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study are using quantitative methods of financial performance formulas namely Current ratio, profit margin, operating ratio, return on investment (ROI). The results of this study indicate that the participation of local government capital to PDAM in general shows a value that continues to increase during the years 2014 - 2018 and the inclusion of regional government capital has no effect on PDAM performance

    Chili cannot be stored for a long time in a fresh condition because it was a living structure that is still carrying out metabolic reactions. Chili after harvesting still maintains the physiological system as it was still attached to the plant. Metabolic reactions will trigger chili damage quickly. The efforts to prevent this should be made to maintain the quality and shelf life of chilies by minimizing metabolic processes, such as suppressing the rate of respiration through regulating the environmental conditions of storage and use of preservatives. The study aimed to determine the effect of concentration of NaCl and citric acid on the shelf life and quality of chili. The study was arranged using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a combination of types and concentrations of preservatives. with the treatment of NaCl concentrations of 1%, 2%, 3%, and Citric Acid respectively 1%, 2%, 3%. The parameters observed were weight loss, shelf life, texture, total microbes, and vitamin C content. The results showed that the use of preservatives significantly affected the shelf life and quality of cayenne pepper. The preservative NaCl 3% given a better effect on cayenne pepper, in terms of the lowest weight loss of 22.8%, the maximum shelf life of 78 days, the number of microbes 12 cfu/g sample, and the texture is rather soft after storage

    This study aims to evaluate the growth and production of hybrid maize on ultisol soils using biochar and chicken manure to support sustainable agriculture. This study used a factorial design based on the randomized block design, which consisted of two treatment factors and three replications. The first factor is the dosage of biochar consisting of 4 levels, namely without biochar (control), 0.25 kg.m-2; 0.5 kg.m-2; and 1 kg.m-2. The second factor is the dose of chicken manure, consisting of four levels, namely without chicken manure (control), chicken manure with a dose of 0.25 kg.m-2; 0.5 kg.m-2; and 1 kg.m-2. The results showed that biochar treatment had a significant effect on plant height. The interaction between treatments has a significant effect on the weight of the ear without the cob. The best biochar treatment was at a dose of 0.25 kg.m-2 while the best treatment of chicken manure was at a dose of 1 kg.m-2

    This study aims to determine the physical quality and crude protein content of cocoa pod husk silage (CBC) from different clones. The pods used came from six clones, namely Sulawesi1 (S1), Sulawesi2 (S2), Local 01 (L01), local 02 (L02), local Padantana (LP), and a mixture of all clones (S1+S2+L01+L02+LP), which is referred to as mixed silage. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with silage treatment of cocoa pod husks for each clone with 30% rice bran added. Meanwhile, the bran was not added to mixed silage. The data were analyzed using the analysis of variance test (ANOVA), and the Duncan test followed the difference between treatments. The results showed that the silage of all clone treatments had good physical quality with a distinctive sour fermentation aroma and a color that did not differ much from the original color of each clone's cocoa pods. There are differences in crude protein content of mixed cocoa pod husk silage and between clones. The highest crude protein content was found in mixed silage, namely 6.02%, and the lowest in local clones 02, namely 4.80%

    The food crop sub-sector has an important and strategic role in national development. The development of the agribusiness sector in Indonesia as an integral part of national development has a very strategic role in the recovery of the national economy. The role of the food crop sub-sector not only to food security but also contributes substantially to the increase of Gross Domestic Product, the provision of food, the provision of industrial raw materials, the increase of exports and foreign exchange, poverty alleviation, the provision of employment opportunities, the source of farmer's income and welfare Communities, and regional and national economies. This study aims: 1) To analyze the prospect of agribusiness system in corn commodity development in Parepare City which includes upstream agribusiness sub-system, Agricultural Business sub-system and downstream agribusiness sub-system; 2) To examine the policy strategy that can support the implementation of agribusiness system of corn commodity in Parepare City.  Location of research in Kecamatan Bacukiki Kota Parepare, Technic of data analysis used is qualitative discriptive analysis and SWOT Analysis.  The results showed that. L) the application of agribusiness system in corn commodity development in general is not maximal, 2) policy strategy that can support corn commodity development with agribusiness approach are: (a) optimize land utilization and improve performance of extension officer in development of corn farming, (b) Human resources development through training of both farmers and officers. (C) enhancing government support through agribusiness-based project activities (d) establishing partnerships with agribusiness actors or entrepreneurs; (e) enhancing the role of banks and other financial institutions in strengthening farmers' capital and streamlining existing institutional presence within Support the corn agribusiness development program, (f) streamline marketing channels both production and production facilities
