    THE IMPACT OF ADVERSITY QUOTIENT AND SELF-EFFICACY ON STUDENTS’ STATISTICAL REASONING ABILITIES: A PILOT STUDY

    Statistical reasoning skills are essential across various disciplines, as they involve the ability to interpret phenomena, solve problems, and make logical inferences based on statistical data. However, students exhibit varying levels of statistical reasoning, ranging from basic understanding to the ability to interpret and justify conclusions, and these differences are important because they affect how effectively students participate in data-driven learning. Such variation may be shaped by individual factors, including their capacity to manage challenges (adversity quotient) and their confidence in their own abilities (self-efficacy). This study investigates the impact of adversity quotient and self-efficacy on students’ statistical reasoning performance. A total of 38 high school students in Jambi, Indonesia, participated in this correlational study. Data were gathered through questionnaires measuring adversity quotient and self-efficacy, along with a statistical reasoning test. The multiple linear regression analysis showed that both adversity quotient and self-efficacy made significant positive contributions to students’ statistical reasoning. The regression equation Y = 2.909 + 0.152X₁ + 0.046X₂ indicates that an increase in adversity quotient is associated with a 0.152-point rise in statistical reasoning scores, while an increase in self-efficacy corresponds to a 0.046-point rise. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.595) suggests that these two variables together explain 59.5 percent of the variance in students’ statistical reasoning. These findings suggest that educators should foster both adversity quotient and self-efficacy to enhance students’ statistical reasoning skills, For example, through challenging statistics assignments, constructive feedback, and a learning environment that encourages persistence. In addition, teachers need to consider other variables that may influence learning outcomes

    DEVELOPMENT OF JUWANA HERITAGE IN MATHEMATICS ANDROID APPLICATION INTEGRATED WITH PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING ASSISTED BY ADOBE ANIMATION TO IMPROVE MATHEMATICAL PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS

    Mathematical problem-solving skills need to be developed to achieve the SDGs, specifically in quality education. However, the results of the 2022 PISA (Philosophy of Mathematics) show that the problem-solving ability of students in Indonesia is relatively low. Innovation is needed to improve problem-solving abilities by developing an Android application integrated with Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with cultural nuances. The study aims to develop an Android application, "Juwana Heritage in Mathematics," integrated with PBL assisted by Adobe Animate. Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation) is the research method. Data sourced from validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and problem-solving ability tests. The validity test results were 89.35% in the very valid category. The practicality test results were 87.7% in the very practical category. Test the effectiveness of the application through t-tests, z-tests, and proportion tests. The results of statistical tests show that (1) the average mathematical problem solving ability of students with the Juwana Heritage in Mathematics application integrated with PBL reached a minimum completion of 80, (2) the proportion of students' problem solving ability with the Juwana Heritage in Mathematics application integrated with PBL that had reached completion was more than 75%, (3) the average mathematical problem solving ability of students with the Juwana Heritage in Mathematics application integrated with PBL was higher than students with PBL (4) the proportion of students' completion with the Juwana Heritage in Mathematics application integrated with PBL was higher than students with PBL and (5) the increase in problem solving ability in students with the Juwana Heritage in Mathematics application integrated with PBL was higher than students with PBL

    Islamofobia Dalam Perkembangan Kajian Teoritis Tafsir Di Indonesia

    This study examines the influence of Islamophobia as a social, political, and intellectual challenge to the development of exegesis studies in Indonesia. In a global context that often marginalizes Islam through negative stigma and stereotypes, Qur'anic exegesis is required to move beyond the normative-traditional approach to an inclusive, dialogical, and contextual one. Through literature review and discourse analysis, this paper explores the role of Indonesian exegetes—such as Quraish Shihab, Sahiron Syamsuddin, and institutions such as the Lajnah Pentashihan Mushaf Al-Qur'an—in repositioning exegesis as a medium for clarification and resistance to the negative image of Islam in the global public sphere. The study's findings indicate that exegesis has now become a dialectical space between text and context and a means of constructing a peaceful, moderate Islamic narrative that is open to interfaith and intercultural dialogue. This study emphasizes the importance of an adaptive exegesis paradigm in responding to the pressures of systemic Islamophobia. Countermeasure strategies include moderate religious education, an inclusive curriculum, a transformative spiritual approach, and the use of media as a contextual da'wah tool. The synergy between education, media, and public policy strengthens the position of interpretation as a strategic instrument in building a rational and relevant image of Islam in contemporary global dynamics.Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh Islamofobia sebagai tantangan sosial, politik, dan intelektual terhadap perkembangan kajian tafsir di Indonesia. Dalam konteks global yang sering memarjinalkan Islam melalui stigma dan stereotip negatif, tafsir Al-Qur’an dituntut untuk melampaui pendekatan normatif-tradisional menuju pendekatan yang inklusif, dialogis, dan kontekstual. Melalui studi literatur dan analisis wacana, makalah ini mengeksplorasi peran mufasir Indonesia—seperti Quraish Shihab, Sahiron Syamsuddin, serta lembaga seperti Lajnah Pentashihan Mushaf Al-Qur’an—dalam mereposisi tafsir sebagai medium klarifikasi dan resistensi terhadap citra negatif Islam di ruang publik global. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa tafsir kini menjadi ruang dialektika antara teks dan konteks serta sarana konstruksi narasi Islam yang damai, moderat, dan terbuka terhadap dialog lintas agama dan budaya. Kajian ini menekankan pentingnya paradigma tafsir yang adaptif dalam merespons tekanan Islamofobia sistemik. Strategi penanggulangannya mencakup pendidikan agama moderat, kurikulum inklusif, pendekatan spiritual transformatif, serta penggunaan media sebagai alat dakwah kontekstual. Sinergi antara pendidikan, media, dan kebijakan publik memperkuat posisi tafsir sebagai instrumen strategis dalam membangun citra Islam yang rasional dan relevan dalam dinamika global kontemporer

    METODE KAJIAN ISLAM BERBASIS RASIONALITAS DAN SCIENTIFIC PADA WILAYAH ILMU SOSIAL KONTEMPORER

        This article examines the integration of rationality-based and scientific methods of Islamic study in the context of contemporary social sciences, with an emphasis on the relationship between revelation as a source of values and rationality as an instrument of interpretation, as well as scientific methods as a tool for testing the effectiveness of applying religious values to modern social realities. This study uses a qualitative approach based on literature review. The purpose of this research is to contribute to the development of social science research methodologies based on Islamic values, while bridging the gap between classical Islamic scientific traditions and modern scientific approaches. The results of the study show that this integration opens up opportunities for the formation of a more applicable social analysis model, namely that Islamic teachings do not stop at normative moral ideas, but become principles that can be translated into social policy. This can be seen in the example of data-based zakat management. However, this study also found that epistemological paradigm gaps and the dichotomy of knowledge remain major obstacles. Therefore, a more open academic culture, stronger methodological literacy, and cross-disciplinary collaboration are needed for this integration to be effective and have a real impact on society. Key words: Islamic studies, rationality, science, contemporary social sciences   Abstrak: Artikel ini mengkaji integrasi metode kajian Islam berbasis rasionalitas dan scientific pada wilayah ilmu sosial kontemporer, dengan titik tekan pada relasi antara wahyu sebagai sumber nilai dan rasionalitas sebagai instrumen interpretasi, serta metode ilmiah sebagai alat untuk menguji efektivitas penerapan nilai agama pada realitas sosial modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif berbasis studi literatur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan metodologi penelitian ilmu sosial yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam, sekaligus menjembatani antara tradisi keilmuan Islam klasik dan pendekatan ilmiah modern. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi ini membuka peluang pembentukan model analisis sosial yang lebih aplikatif yakni ajaran Islam tidak berhenti sebagai gagasan moral normatif, tetapi menjadi prinsip yang dapat diturunkan ke dalam kebijakan sosial. Hal ini terlihat pada contoh pengelolaan zakat berbasis data. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa kesenjangan paradigma epistemologis dan dikotomi ilmu masih menjadi hambatan utama. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan budaya akademik yang lebih terbuka, literasi metodologi yang lebih kuat, serta kolaborasi lintas disiplin agar integrasi ini dapat berjalan efektif dan berdampak nyata bagi masyarakat.     TRACKING LANGUAGE STUDIES, 1913–2025: WHERE HAVE WE BEEN AND WHERE ARE WE HEADED?

    Despite the increasing body of research on language and identity, heritage language, education, and multilingual practices, a comprehensive bibliometric overview of how these areas have evolved over time remains lacking. This gap limits our understanding of major trends, influential works, and emerging directions in the field. To address this, the study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of language-related research by mapping publication patterns, keyword evolution, and thematic clusters to identify scholarly developments and underexplored areas. A total of 3,638 articles published between 1913 and 2025 were retrieved from the Scopus database using refined search terms such as “first language,” “mother tongue,” “heritage language,” and “foreign language,” and filtered to include publications in the Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, and Psychology. MS Excel and VOSviewer were employed to analyze co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence, and thematic structures. Findings reveal a steady increase in publication output from 2000 to 2024, with a noticeable surge during the COVID-19 pandemic. The United States and United Kingdom remain dominant in research productivity, though rising contributions from Asia and the Global South reflect a more inclusive scholarly landscape. Influential scholars such as Bialystok and Ellis continue to shape discussions on bilingualism and cognition. Major research clusters include bilingualism and identity, heritage language maintenance, language and migration, and cognitive development. The study concludes that language research is interdisciplinary, collaborative, and increasingly global in scope. It recommends greater attention to indigenous language revitalization and digital multilingualism and urges educators and policymakers to apply these insights to foster inclusive, culturally responsive language education and planning

    Religious conflict between KH. Shinwani Adra’i and Aswaja ulama in Madura reflects tensions between a text-based orientation toward ritual purification and socio-religious practices that have long been embedded in local culture, particularly devotional traditions such as tahlil and maulid. This study aims to uncover the roots of these tensions and to explain how discourses of difference can be transformed into narratives of peace. The research employs a qualitative approach using Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis model. Data were collected through a literature-based study of YouTube sermons, responses from local kiai, and relevant academic references, then analyzed across three dimensions: text, discursive practice, and social practice. The findings indicate that the conflict arises not only from theological differences but also from competition over the legitimacy of religious authority in digital spaces, which amplifies the conflict’s resonance. However, scholarly clarification and pesantren-based mediation are able to reconstruct the meaning of “difference” as a potential resource for social learning. This study contributes to scholarship on local religious authority and proposes a discourse-based framework for reconciliation.Konflik keagamaan antara KH. Shinwani Adra'i dan ulama Aswaja Madura mencerminkan ketegangan orientasi antara pemurnian ritual berbasis teks dan praktik sosial keagamaan yang telah mengakar dalam budaya lokal, terutama terkait amaliyah seperti tahlil dan maulid. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap akar ketegangan tersebut serta menjelaskan bagaimana wacana perbedaan dapat ditransformasikan menjadi narasi perdamaian. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan Analisis Wacana Kritis model Norman Fairclough; data diperoleh melalui studi pustaka terhadap ceramah YouTube, respon kiai lokal, serta referensi akademik, kemudian dijelaskan pada level teks, praktik diskursif, dan praktik sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konflik tidak hanya bersumber dari perbedaan teologis, tetapi juga kompetisi legitimasi otoritas keagamaan di ruang digital yang memperluas resonansi konflik. Namun, klarifikasi keilmuan dan mediasi pesantren mampu merekonstruksi makna “perbedaan” sebagai potensi pembelajaran sosial.     Strategi Pesantren Melalui Pemasaran Islami Dalam Mewujudkan Kemandirian Ekonomi Pesantren yang Berkelanjutan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam strategi pemberdayaan santripreneur melalui penerapan pendekatan pemasaran Islami sebagai upaya mewujudkan kemandirian ekonomi pesantren yang berkelanjutan. Pesantren dipahami tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai lembaga pendidikan dan dakwah, tetapi juga memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan ekonomiberbasis santri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan desain studi multisitus yang dilaksanakan di Pondok Pesantren Fathul Ulum Kwagean Kediri dan Fathul Ulum Diwek Jombang. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi lapangan, dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa strategi pemberdayaan santripreneur dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan utama, yaitu: (1) peningkatan kapasitas santri melalui pelatihan kewirausahaan berbasis nilai-nilai Islam, (2) penerapan prinsip-prinsip pemasaran Islami dalam aspek produksi, distribusi, dan promosi, serta (3) pengembangan kelembagaan ekonomi pesantren yang mandiri dan berkelanjutan. Implementasi strategi tersebut terbukti mampu memperkuat kemandirian ekonomi pesantren, melahirkan santri yang religius, inovatif, dan kompetitif, serta berpotensi menjadi model percontohan pengembangan ekonomi syariah di lingkungan pesantren Indonesia.

    Creative thinking skills are important to develop so that students are able to meet the demands of today's learning. In Biology, this ability is needed to understand problems, generate ideas, and find solutions independently. This study aims to describe the level of creative thinking skills of grade XI Fase F Bio F SMAN 2 Padang students based on five indicators, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and curiosity. The study used a quantitative descriptive method with an essay test as the main instrument. The results of the analysis showed that the creative thinking skills of students were not yet evenly distributed and some indicators were still in the low category. These findings emphasize the need for learning that encourages exploration, courage to express opinions, and idea development. Overall, students' creative thinking skills still need to be strengthened through learning activities that stimulate higher-level thinking processes.Keterampilan berpikir kreatif penting dikembangkan agar peserta didik mampu menghadapi tuntutan pembelajaran masa kini. Dalam Biologi, kemampuan ini dibutuhkan untuk memahami persoalan, menghasilkan ide, dan menemukan solusi secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tingkat keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik kelas XI Fase F Bio F SMAN 2 Padang berdasarkan lima indikator, yaitu kelancaran, keluwesan, keaslian, kerincian, dan rasa ingin tahu. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan tes esai sebagai instrumen utama. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik belum merata dan beberapa indikator masih berada pada kategori rendah. Temuan ini menegaskan perlunya pembelajaran yang lebih mendorong eksplorasi, keberanian berpendapat, dan pengembangan ide. Secara keseluruhan, keterampilan berpikir kreatif peserta didik masih membutuhkan penguatan melalui kegiatan belajar yang menstimulasikan proses berpikir tingkat tinggi

    Pengaruh Perilaku Kepemimpinan Ambidextrous Terhadap Perubahan Digital dan Produktivitas Guru di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kabupaten Blitar

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perilaku kepemimpinan ambidextrous terhadap perubahan digital dan produktivitas guru di sekolah dasar negeri Kabupaten Blitar. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada urgensi kepemimpinan adaptif dan inovatif di era digital, ketika kepala sekolah dituntut mampu menyeimbangkan antara dorongan terhadap inovasi baru dan optimalisasi praktik yang sudah ada untuk meningkatkan kinerja sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode analisis regresi. Populasi penelitian meliputi 20 sekolah dasar negeri yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling (pengambilan sampel bertujuan), dengan total sampel sebanyak 169 guru yang ditentukan melalui proportional random sampling (pengambilan sampel acak proporsional). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner tertutup berisi 75 butir pernyataan yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perilaku kepemimpinan ambidextrous kepala sekolah berada pada kategori tinggi hingga sangat tinggi, dengan apresiasi lebih positif dari guru berstatus pegawai negeri sipil serta guru berusia di atas 36 tahun. Tingkat perubahan digital juga berada pada kategori tinggi, terutama diapresiasi oleh guru senior dan pegawai negeri sipil. Produktivitas guru dikategorikan tinggi, lebih menonjol pada guru perempuan, pegawai negeri sipil, dan kelompok usia di atas 36 tahun. Analisis lebih lanjut menegaskan adanya pengaruh positif signifikan perilaku kepemimpinan ambidextrous terhadap perubahan digital maupun produktivitas guru. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepemimpinan ambidextrous berperan penting dalam membangun ekosistem sekolah yang inovatif dan efisien. Implikasi dari temuan ini mendorong pengambil kebijakan, institusi pendidikan, dan penyelenggara pelatihan guru untuk memperkuat kapasitas kepemimpinan, mendukung adaptasi teknologi, serta meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam menghadapi tantangan perubahan digital
