    Starting from its uniqueness, the Adventist Church is known for its strong symbolism in its religious practices. Joachim Wach's phenomenological approach is integrated with Rudolf Otto's Numinous theory and Peter L. Berger's Sacred Canopy theory, which emphasizes the importance of understanding the subjective experiences of congregation members. This research can provide insights into the interaction between ritual symbolism and broader religious experiences in giving meaning to human life within the framework of the "sacred canopy." This research uses a Descriptive-Analytical Qualitative method with data collection techniques based on primary data from observations, direct interviews with 7 informants, and documentary studies. Secondary data were obtained through literature studies, and the purpose of this research is to understand the concept, analyze the essence, and forms of the congregation's religious experience through the lens of the Sacred Canopy. The research results show that religious practices at Kayu Putih Seventh-day Adventist Church are not merely religious activities, but rather a complex process involving the construction of social reality through symbolic interactions between individuals and their community as well as their surrounding environment. The concept of the sacred canopy developed by Joachim Wach, which includes dimensions of religious experience and practice, is highly relevant in maintaining a coherent religious social reality that provides meaning and a sense of security for the members of Kayu Putih Seventh-day Adventist Church.Berangkat dari keunikan, Gereja Advent dikenal dengan simbolisme yang kuat dalam praktik keagamaannya. Pendekatan fenomenologis Joachim Wach diintegrasikan dengan teori Numinous milik Rudolf Otto dan teori Peter L Berger terkait Sacred Canopy yang menekankan pentingnya memahami pengalaman subjektif anggota jemaat, sehingga penelitian ini dapat memberikan wawasan tentang interaksi antara simbolisme ritual dan pengalaman keagamaan yang lebih luas dalam memberikan makna kehidupan manusia dalam kerangka "sacred canopy". Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kualitatif Deskriptif-Analitis dengan teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh berdasarkan data primer berupa data dari hasil observasi, wawancara langsung dengan 7 narasumber, dan studi dokumenter. Adapun data sekundernya didapat melalui studi literatur dan tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui konsep, analisis hakikat, serta bentuk pengalaman keagamaan jemaat dalam lensa Sacred Canopy. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa praktik keagamaan di GMAHK Kayu Putih bukan sekadar kegiatan religius belaka, melainkan sebuah proses kompleks yang melibatkan konstruksi realitas sosial melalui interaksi simbolik antara individu dengan komunitasnya serta lingkungan sekitarnya. Konsep sacred canopy yang dikembangkan Joachim Wach, yang didalamnya terdapat dimensi pengalaman dan pengamalan beragama sangat relevan dalam mempertahankan realitas sosial keagamaan yang koheren dan memberikan makna, serta rasa aman bagi para anggota GMAHK Kayu Putih

    This research examines the role and leadership of women at the Salafiyah Nurul Huda Islamic Boarding School Poncokusumo Malang in the context of gender sociology and gender equality. In general, Islamic boarding schools are often considered as male-dominated institutions, this research shows that women, especially female leaders (Ning), play an important role in the management and education of santri. Through a qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation, which shows that women's leadership is not only limited to administrative functions, but also includes spiritual guidance and character development of students. Despite facing challenges such as male dominance in decision making and gender bias in society, women in this Islamic boarding school show the ability to adapt and contribute significantly. This research provides an overview of the dynamics of women's leadership in the Islamic boarding school environment, as well as its implications for gender equality in Islamic education.Penelitian ini mengkaji peran dan kepemimpinan perempuan di Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Nurul Huda Poncokusumo Malang dalam konteks sosiologi gender dan kesetaraan gender. Pada umumnya, pesantren sering dianggap sebagai institusi yang didominasi oleh laki-laki, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perempuan, khususnya pemimpin putri (Ning), memainkan peran penting dalam pengelolaan dan pendidikan santri. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi langsung, yang menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan perempuan tidak hanya terbatas pada fungsi administratif, tetapi juga mencakup pembimbingan spiritual dan pengembangan karakter santri. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti dominasi laki-laki dalam pengambilan keputusan dan bias gender dalam masyarakat, perempuan di pesantren ini menunjukkan kemampuan untuk beradaptasi dan berkontribusi secara signifikan.     TRANSFORMATION OF THE COMPUTATIONAL THINKING PROCESS OF STUDENTS TO SOLVE MATHEMATICAL PROBLEMS THROUGH REFLECTION

    Computational thinking can make it easier for students to solve mathematical problems because it involves various skills and techniques that train students to formulate complex problems into simple ones. However, the current learning approach limits students from developing computational thinking skills. Teachers tend not to innovate and are more dominant in using monotonous learning which results in low computational thinking skills for students. Reflection is carried out to stimulate the transformation of students' computational thinking processes. This study aims to describe the transformation of students' computational thinking processes in solving mathematical problems through reflection. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research data consists of student answers, think-aloud results, and semi-structured interview results. The results showed that students with low problem-solving abilities experienced assimilation at the decomposition stage only, while at the pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithmic thinking stages students experienced accommodation. This is because in formulating strategies and implementing plans students need reflection to recognize patterns, apply patterns, draw conclusions about solutions, and complete incomplete algorithms. Meanwhile, students who have moderate problem-solving abilities experience assimilation at the decomposition and pattern recognition stages, while at the abstraction and algorithmic thinking stages accommodation occurs. This is because in implementing plans students need reflection to correct errors in using patterns, draw conclusions, and complete algorithms

    DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF AN ALGEBRA LITERACY TEST INTEGRATED WITH CHARACTER EDUCATION FOR ASSESSING MATHEMATICAL REASONING ABILITIES

    Mathematical reasoning has been recognized as one of the important skills in mathematics learning. The assessment of this cognitive skill necessitates a robust and well-structured evaluation instrument to ensure accurate measurement. This study aims to develop an algebra literacy assessment instrument integrated with character education reinforcement to evaluate students’ mathematical reasoning abilities. Adopting a design-based research approach through the Formative Research model (Tessmer), this study involves undergraduate students enrolled in the Mathematics Education Program at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar. The research instruments include the algebra literacy assessment, validation sheets, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis is conducted to determine the validity, reliability, item difficulty level, discriminatory power, and practicality of the test items. The research and development process culminated in a validated 30-item algebra literacy assessment instrument integrated with character education reinforcement, demonstrating robust psychometric properties. The findings indicate that the developed instrument is a valid and reliable tool for assessing mathematical reasoning skills in higher education contexts

    KOEKSISTENSI NILAI TRADISI BATANATI MASYARAKAT PULAU BURU DENGAN HUKUM ISLAM

    Batanati is a tradition of the Batujungku community on Buru Island which is carried out before a celebration. The community helps each other by handing over a sum of money to the owner of the celebration and is mandatory. This study aims to explore the substantive values ​​of the batanati tradition of the Buru Island community and its coexistence with Islamic law. This study uses empirical research using primary and secondary data. Furthermore, the data obtained is then analyzed based on the perspective of Islamic law. This study uses a conceptual and historical approach to reveal the coexistence of the substantive values ​​of the batanati tradition with Islamic law. The results of the study show that the batanati tradition is an interaction between individuals that contains local wisdom, namely the values ​​of mutual assistance, unity, togetherness and brotherhood. These values ​​become a reference and are cultivated by the community in each generation so that they become a social force. In an Islamic perspective, the batanati tradition is categorized as 'urf Sahih because it is a habit that has been carried out from generation to generation and can also be accepted and carried out by many people and does not conflict with sharia'. Therefore, the Batanati tradition needs to be maintained and the Batanati tradition continues to prioritize deliberation and consensus in order to be in line with Islamic values.     Peran Majelis Dalam Membentuk Solidaritas Sosial : Studi Perspektif Emile Durkheim

    This study aims to examine the role of the assembly in forming social solidarity in local communities using Émile Durkheim's perspective. This study was conducted at the Majelis Sholawat Nariya, Prekbun Village, through a qualitative approach with observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the routine activities of the assembly carried out in rotation at members' homes not only strengthen religious values, but also form close social relations among members. This finding indicates the formation of mechanical solidarity, marked by similarities in activities, values, and habits carried out collectively. On the other hand, the development of the role of the assembly into the social realm such as mutual cooperation and cross-community activities also shows the emergence of organic solidarity, namely cooperation that arises from the differentiation of social roles and functions. This study presents novelty by showing that traditional institutions such as the assembly still have vitality and relevance in building social cohesion in modern society. The assembly has proven to be an effective alternative social space in dealing with the crisis of social alienation and individualism. This finding provides a theoretical contribution to strengthening Durkheim's theory in the local context, as well as practical implications for the development of community-based social institutions.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran majelis dalam membentuk solidaritas sosial masyarakat lokal dengan menggunakan perspektif Émile Durkheim. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Majelis Sholawat Nariya, Desa Prekbun, melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan rutin majelis yang dilakukan secara bergilir di rumah anggota bukan hanya memperkuat nilai keagamaan, tetapi juga membentuk relasi sosial yang erat di antara anggota. Temuan ini menunjukkan terbentuknya solidaritas mekanik, ditandai dengan kesamaan aktivitas, nilai, dan kebiasaan yang dilakukan secara kolektif. Di sisi lain, berkembangnya peran majelis ke ranah sosial seperti gotong royong dan kegiatan lintas komunitas juga memperlihatkan munculnya solidaritas organik, yaitu kerja sama yang muncul dari diferensiasi peran dan fungsi sosial. Penelitian ini menghadirkan kebaruan dengan menunjukkan bahwa institusi tradisional seperti majelis masih memiliki daya hidup dan relevansi dalam membangun kohesi sosial masyarakat modern. Majelis terbukti menjadi ruang sosial alternatif yang efektif dalam menghadapi krisis keterasingan sosial dan individualisme. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis terhadap penguatan teori Durkheim dalam konteks lokal, serta implikasi praktis bagi pengembangan kelembagaan sosial berbasis komunitas

    Memilih media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik merupakan tantangan tersendiri bagi guru agar materi yang ingin disampaikan dapat diterima dan dipahami secara efektif. Penelitian ini mengemukakan analisis kebutuhan guru dan peserta didik sebagai acuan pengembangan booklet terintegrasi nilai preventif di SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, sementara teknik pengumpulan data berupa lembar wawancara dan angket. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 1 orang guru Biologi dan peserta didik kelas XII Fase F yang berjumlah 103 peserta didik. Hasilnya booklet dapat menarik minat peserta didik untuk mempelajari dan mengamalkan langkah-langkah cara menjaga kesehatan tubuh melalui nilai preventif yang diintegrasikan pada media pembelajaran. Dari hal tersebut, sebanyak 74,8% peserta didik menyatakan memerlukan tambahan media pembelajaran yang menarik untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan perlunya dikembangkan media pembelajaran berupa booklet terintegrasi dengan nilai preventif kesehatan organ pencernaan pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia.Choosing learning media that suits the needs of students is a challenge for teachers so that the material to be conveyed can be received and understood effectively. This research presents the needs analysis of teachers and students as a reference for the development of booklets integrated with preventive values at SMAN 1 Lembah Melintang. The type of research conducted is quantitative descriptive research, while data collection techniques are in the form of interview sheets and questionnaires. The subjects of this study were 1 Biology teacher and class XII Phase F students totaling 103 students. The result is that the booklet can attract students to learn and practice the steps of how to maintain a healthy body through the preventive value integrated in the learning media. From this, 74.8% of students stated that they needed additional interesting learning media to support the learning process. These results indicate the need to develop learning media in the form of booklets integrated with the preventive value of digestive organ health on the material of the human digestive system

    Paradoks Maslahat dalam Praktik Parkir Gratis: Analisis Tindakan Sosial dan Maṣlaḥah Mursalah di Salatiga

    Penelitian ini membahas praktik penarikan retribusi parkir oleh juru parkir di kawasan parkir gratis Toko Juragan Salatiga, yang secara formal menetapkan kebijakan “Parkir Gratis Khusus Roda Dua.” Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis motif sosial tindakan juru parkir dalam perspektif teori tindakan sosial Max Weber dan meninjau praktik tersebut melalui konsep maṣlaḥah mursalah dalam hukum Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan yuridis sosiologis. Subjek penelitian meliputi juru parkir, pemilik toko, pelanggan, dan Dinas Perhubungan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis dengan pendekatan verstehen dan maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tindakan juru parkir merupakan hasil dari rasionalisasi ekonomi, tradisi sosial, ekspresi emosional, serta keyakinan terhadap nilai-nilai etis lokal. Namun, tindakan tersebut menyebabkan konflik antara kebijakan formal dan realitas lapangan. Dari sisi hukum Islam, kebijakan parkir gratis yang tidak terimplementasi secara utuh menyebabkan maslahat yang diniatkan tidak tercapai dan bahkan menciptakan mafsadah. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya keterpaduan antara kebijakan, pelaksanaan, dan perlindungan sosial agar maslahat benar-benar dapat dirasakan oleh masyarakat

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap dinamika konflik batin mendekat-mendekat yang dialami tokoh utama dalam novel Negeri di Ujung Tanduk karya Tere Liye melalui pendekatan psikologi sastra. Konflik batin menjadi pusat perhatian karena merepresentasikan pergulatan psikologis tokoh dalam menentukan sikap dan pilihan hidupnya. Menggunakan teori konflik dari Kurt Lewin serta pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, penelitian ini menganalisis bentuk, penyebab, dan dampak konflik mendekat-mendekat yang dialami tokoh utama terhadap perkembangan alur cerita dan karakter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh utama mengalami konflik batin antara dua pilihan yang sama-sama menarik sebanyak 10 data yang dikategorikan dalam karakteristik konflik yakni dua pilihan positif dan resolusi rfelatif mudah. Konflik tersebut menggambarkan ketegangan emosional yang turut memengaruhi tindakan dan proses pematangan psikologis tokoh utama. Penelitian ini memperkuat pemahaman bahwa karya sastra merupakan refleksi realitas psikologis manusia yang dapat dikaji secara mendalam melalui pendekatan interdisipliner

    IMPLEMENTATION OF HIGHER ORDER THINKING SKILLS (HOTS) IN FIQH LEARNING ASSESSMENT AT MADRASAH ALIYAH NURUL ISLAM

    Abstract: Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) play a crucial role in preparing students to master analytical, evaluative, and creative abilities that are essential in facing the challenges of 21st-century education. This study aims to analyze the implementation of HOTS in the assessment of Fiqh learning at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Islam. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving the head of the madrasah, Fiqh teachers, and students. The findings reveal a shift from memorization-based assessments (LOTS) to HOTS-oriented evaluations through case studies, project-based assignments, class discussions, and structured rubrics emphasizing critical and contextual reasoning. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including teachers’ limited capacity in developing HOTS instruments, insufficient resources, and students’ difficulties in addressing analytical questions. The novelty of this research lies in its direct exploration of HOTS-based assessments in Fiqh learning and their impact on students’ cognitive development. In conclusion, the integration of HOTS in Fiqh education contributes positively to fostering critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills, while reinforcing the relevance of Islamic education in contemporary contexts.Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) memiliki peran penting dalam membekali peserta didik dengan kemampuan analisis, evaluasi, dan kreasi yang relevan dengan tantangan pendidikan abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan HOTS dalam asesmen pembelajaran Fiqih di Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Islam. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif desain studi kasus, data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi kelas, dan analisis dokumen yang melibatkan kepala madrasah, guru Fiqih, serta siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pergeseran dari asesmen berbasis hafalan (LOTS) menuju evaluasi berbasis HOTS melalui soal studi kasus, penugasan proyek, diskusi kelas, serta rubrik penilaian yang menekankan penalaran kritis dan kontekstual. Namun demikian, masih ditemukan sejumlah tantangan, antara lain keterbatasan guru dalam menyusun instrumen HOTS, minimnya sumber daya, serta kesulitan siswa dalam memahami soal analitis. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada analisis langsung terhadap asesmen HOTS dalam pembelajaran Fiqih serta kontribusinya terhadap pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Dengan demikian, penerapan HOTS dalam pembelajaran Fiqih terbukti mampu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, analitis, dan kreatif, sekaligus memperkuat relevansi pendidikan agama dengan realitas kontemporer
