BRAIN HEMISPHERE FUNCTION OF MALE AND FEMALE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT STUDENTS OF STKIP-MB: NEUROLINGUISTICS PERSPECTIVE
This research identifies brain hemisphere function of male and female English department students of STKIP-MB. It identifies the dominant of brain hemisphere’s male and female students. Those dominant of brain hemisphere can be guidance to optimize both hemisphere in order to get the success life. The result found the differentiation of brain hemisphere function between male and female students: 71,4% male students dominant left hemisphere, and 28,5% dominant right hemisphere; and 71,4% female students dominant right hemisphere, and 28,5% equal left hemisphere and right hemisphere. Neurologically, Male has corpus collosum which is smaller than female so male speaks directly and literally. Then, male has smaller lobus temporal, it causes male be talk less and to the point. Amigdala places in left hemisphere, it causes male cannot express something sentimentality. Seretonim and oxytocin in male are less, it makes male be more impulsive. Although, female has bigger limbic system than male. It makes female be more sentimental and expresses the feeling easier. Then, female’s amigdala places in right hemisphere, it causes female be sensitive and can produce the speech politely. Female has bigger corpus collosum about 25% when they are mature, it causes female can optimalize both of hemispheres, left and right hemisphere equally. Female has bigger lobus frontal and lobus temporal, it causes female be talkative and no straight to the point. 
MENINGKATKAN PROSES BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN JASMANI DENGAN MATERI PASSING BAWAH BOLA VOLI MINI MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF MODEL STAD PADA SISWA KELAS V SD NEGERI 168/II SUMBER MULYA KABUPATEN BUNGO
The problem faced is learning Physical Education in class V is still implemented conventionally. Teachers still dominate learning by using the lecture method. While students only receive information from the teacher. In response to the above facts, it is necessary to conduct classroom action research (CAR). PTK aims to improve the learning process in a class, which in turn can improve the learning process of students in that class. In this case the STAD type cooperative learning model is one of the most effective and efficient learning models to be developed.
This research is a classroom action research using aspects of planning, observation, action and reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of two meetings.
The results of the study carried out in two cycles showed an increase in physical education learning using the STAD type cooperative learning model. seen from the learning outcomes obtained by students in each cycle, then in the first cycle the value of mastery learning obtained from 26 students was 57.69% while in the second cycle there was a very good increase, where the value of learning completeness obtained had reached 84 , 62% Thus, it can be said that the cooperative type STAD model can improve the learning of Physical Education in the fifth grade class of the Sumber Mulya District 168 / II Elementary School in Bungo.Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani di kelas V masih dilaksanakan secara konvensional. Guru masih mendominasi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode ceramah. Sementara siswa hanya menerima informasi dari guru. Menyikapi kenyataan di atas, perlu diadakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). PTK bertujuan untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran di suatu kelas, yang pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan proses belajar siswa di kelas tersebut. Dalam hal ini model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang sangat efektif dan efesien untuk dikembangkan.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan aspek perencanaan, pengamatan, tindakan dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua kali siklus, dimana masing-masing siklus terdiri atas dua kali pertemuan.
Hasil penelitian yang dilaksanakan dalam dua kali siklus menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. dilihat dari hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada masing-masing siklus, maka pada siklus I nilai ketuntasan belajar yang diperoleh dari 26 orang siswa adalah 57,69 % Sedangkan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan yang sangat baik, dimana nilai ketuntasan belajar yang diperoleh sudah mencapai 84,62 % Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa model kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani di kelas kelas V SD Negeri 168/II Sumber Mulya Kabupaten Bungo
PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF TIPE COLLABORATIVE LEARNING GROUPS TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP DAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS VIII SMPN DI KECAMATAN LEMBAH GUMANTI
The ability of understanding mathematical concepts and communication skills was a math learning goals stated by the Ministry of Education, and was a very important aspect in learning mathematics. Lack of communication skills and understanding of mathematical concepts students will affect the quality of student learning that result in low student achievement in school, it was also happening in SMP N Lembah Gumanti. Coperative learning group learning strategies was one alternative to improve the liveliness and creativity of students in learning. This research is a Quasi Experiment. The population in this study were students of SMP N Lembah Gumanti District. The samples in this study were students of class VIII 2 SMPN 2 Lembah Gumanti as experimental class and VIII A SMPN 1 grade students as a class randomly selected controls. Instrument used was a written test. The data obtained were analyzed using test mann- whitney u. The results showed that the ability of understanding the overall concept and capable students who are taught by low initial learning activen learning higher than students taught with conventional learning, communication skills and capable overall high initial learning strategies taught by ctiven learning higher than the students who taught by conventional learning
PENGGUNAAN MEDIA DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN PERUBAHAN LINGKUNGAN FISIK TERHADAP DARATAN
Material changes in the physical environment are one of the science learning materials that are difficult for students to understand. For this reason, an efficient learning media is needed and serves to visualize the process of changing the physical environment to the land. Model media is one of the media that can be used to improve students' understanding of learning material changes in the physical environment to the land. This has been proven by researchers in a PTK, in class IV SD Negeri 27 Sawahan Dalam Timur District.
The results of this study prove that the use of media models can improve student learning outcomes. Research cycle I shows that the average acquisition of student learning outcomes is 7.3, while in cycle II the average value of student learning outcomes is 8.6. From the final results of the learning process, the value obtained by students has increased. Based on these results it can be concluded that this study shows that the use of media models can improve student learning outcomes in learning changes in the physical environment to land in class IV SD Negeri 27 Sawahan Dalam, Padang Timur District was well achieved.Materi perubahan lingkungan fisik adalah salah satu materi pembelajaran IPA yang sulit dipahami oleh siswa. Untuk itu dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang efesien dan berfungsi untuk memvisualisasikan proses perubahan lingkungan fisik terhadap daratan. Media model merupakan salah satu media yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pembelajaran perubahan lingkungan fisik terhadap daratan. Hal ini telah peneliti buktikan dalam sebuah PTK, di kelas IV SD Negeri No 27 Sawahan Dalam Kecamatan Timur.
Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan media model dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian siklus I menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata perolehan nilai hasil belajar siswa 7,3, sedangkan pada siklus II rata-rata nilai hasil belajar siswa 8,6. Dari hasil akhir proses pembelajaran, nilai yang diperoleh oleh siswa telah terjadi peningkatan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, penggunaan media model dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran perubahan lingkungan fisik terhadap daratan di kelas IV SD Negeri No 27 Sawahan Dalam Kecamatan Padang Timur tercapai dengan baik. 
PENGARUH GAYA SELF CHECK DAN CONVERGENT TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN DRIBBLING PEMAIN SEPAKBOLA SSB SANGGAR KEGIATAN BELAJAR MUARA BUNGO
Based on the observation of the writer it can be indicated that low level of ability of football player base of SSB SKB MuaraBungo. There are some factors caused this, such as exercise methods, physical conditions, nutritional status and infrastructure facilities. This study aims to explain the influence of the self-inspection style and the convergent style of the dribbling ability of football.
The population in this study is SSB players SKB MuaraBungo (U.13-U.15) which amounted to 75 people. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with 30 samples.Moreover, the data of dribbling soccer capability is taken by the coach and the research team. The test instrument is dribbling test. Data analysis technique using t test.
The result of data analysis shows that: 1) there is impact of self-check force toward dribbling ability of player SSB SKB MuaraBungo with t test 7,132>ttable 2,145; 2) the impact of convergent style on dribbling ability of SSB players SKB MuaraBungo with t test 7,613>ttable 2,145,3 ) self-check style is more effective than convergent style to increase dribbling ability of SSB SKB player with tcount of 7,132>ttable 2,145 for self check style and ttest result 7,613>ttable 2,145 for convergent style, which means there is difference between the two styles.Berdasarkan pengamatan penulis menunjukkan bahwa masih rendahnya tingkat kemampuan dasar sepakbola pemain SSB SKB Muara Bungo. Faktor penyebabnya seperti metode latihan, kondisi fisik, status gizi dan sarana prasarana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh gaya self check dan gaya convergent terhadap kemampuan dribbling sepakbola.
Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pemain SSB SKB Muara Bungo (U.13-U.15) yang berjumlah 75 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 30 orang. Data kemampuan dribbling sepakbola diambil oleh pelatih dan tim pelaksana penelitian. Instrument tes yaitu dribbling test. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t.
Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh gaya self check terhadap kemampuna dribbling pemain SSB SKB Muara Bungo dengan thitung 7,132 > ttabel 2,145, 2) terdapat pengaruh gaya convergent terhadap kemampuan dribbling pemain SSB SKB Muara Bungo dengan thitung 7,613 > ttabel 2,145, 3) gaya self check lebih efektif dibandingkan gaya convergent terhadap peningkatan kemampuan dribbling pemain SSB SKB dengan hasil thitung 7,132 > ttabel 2,145 untuk gaya self check dan hasil thitung 7,613 > ttabel 2,145 untuk gaya convergent, yang artinya terdapat perbedaan antara kedua gaya tersebut
PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENTS PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN KEWARGANEGARAAN DI SMP PERTIWI 1 PADANG
The problems that often arise in the learning process in class VII 1 SMP Pertiwi Padang showed low student participation. In working groups, many students who do not participate in the learning process, which the teacher. Cooperation between them, their peers in a group such as an opinion. So that the classroom atmosphere during the learning process becomes rigid, ineffective and boring for students. To overcome this teacher trying to implement an effective method of learning in the subjects of Citizenship Education. Such a way that can help students to participate during the learning process. Using a model of cooperative learning type games tournament teams. Formulation of the problem in this study were any obstacles faced by students in the application of cooperative learning model type games tournament teams on the subjects of citizenship education. The analysis showed that: 1) Cooperative learning model type teams tournament games can improve students' ability to think actively. 2) Model of cooperative learning type games tournament teams can stimulate children to think more actively. This type of study is a qualitative descriptive study, with the entire student population of Pertiwi 1 junior class VII Padang academic year 2011/2012 consisting of two classes. Sample of this study is the class VII.1 and VII.2 class. Based on the results of research and discussion of both classes, it can be concluded that the participation of students in the class of the group collaborated with the percentage of 71.83% VII.1 and VII.2 class with a percentage of 70.41% the result is quite good. His firm from research indicating that by applying a type of learning model kooperatip teams tournament games for Civic Education subjects, the study was conducted in class VII. Pertiwi 1 SMP Padang. So that students are capable of cooperating groups and students to think more actively in teaching and learning Citizenship Education that impact on learning outcomes for Civic Education
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LEARNING CELL TECHNIQUE TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION
The objectives of the research were to know the implementation of learning cell technique to improve students’ reading comprehension and to find out the students’ perception of using learning cell technique. This research design was classroom action research at the seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Tangerang. The participants of this research were 34 students. They were consisting of 17 male students and 17 female students of seventh grade students at SMPN 2 Tangerang. The data collection techniques in this research were written tests, observation, questionnaire and interview. The interview was done for 20 students of thirty four students at the seventh grade students of SMPN 2 Tangerang. The data collective and analysis used qualitative data which was supported by quantitative data. This research was done from October to November 2017. The finding of the research showed that implementation of learning cell technique could be effective and can improved students’ reading comprehension. It can be seen from the finding of students score from cycle 1 to cycle three. The data showed the students’ tests score improved. The students who passed the standard score (KKM) in cycle one was 56.7%, cycle 2 was 67.7% and cycle 3 was 96.8%.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Penerapan teknik learning cell untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman membaca siswa dan untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa dalam menggunakan Teknik learning cell. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas pada siswa kelas kelas VIIA SMPN 2 Tangerang. Peserta penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa. Mereka terdiri dari 17 siswa laki-laki dan 17 siswa perempuan kelas tujuh di SMPN 2 Tangerang.Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes tertulis, observasi, wawancara dan questionaire. Wawancara dilakukan pada dua puluh siswa dari tiga puluh empat siswa pada siswa kelas VIIA SMPN 2 Tangerang. Data kolektif dan analisis menggunakan data kualitatif yang didukung oleh data kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Oktober sampai November 2017. Temuan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik learning cell efektif dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman membaca siswa. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari temuan skor siswa dari siklus satu sampai siklus tiga. Data menunjukkan nilai siswa meningkat. Siswa yang lulus standar skor (KKM) pada siklus satu adalah 56.7%, siklus dua adalah 67.7% dan pada siklus ketiga adalah 96.8%
MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MENGGUNAKAN METODE TIPE INDEX CARD MATCH PADA PELAJARAN MATEMATIKA
This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes, the use of improper learning methods, and the index card match learning has never been done at SD Negeri No. 166/II Tirta Mulya. This study aims to improve the process and results of mathematics learning in fifth grade students of SD Negeri No. 166 / II Tirta Mulya Village, by applying the active learning index index match type. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) which consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observing and reflecting carried out collaboratively. The research was conducted at SD Negeri No. 166 / II Tirta Mulya Village. The subjects of this study were 21 class V students. The study was conducted for 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 2 meetings. Data collection techniques use test methods, observation sheets and documentation. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of the study showed that the index card match type active learning strategy and paying attention to the learning steps to improve the learning process and student learning outcomes, there was an increase in the learning process and student learning outcomes.Penelitian ini dilatarbelakagi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang tidak tepat, serta pembelajaran index card match belum pernah dilakasanakan di SD Negeri No. 166/II Desa Tirta Mulya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD Negeri No. 166/II Desa Tirta Mulya, dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe index card match. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan (planning), tindakan (action), observasi (observing) dan refleksi (reflecting) yang dilaksanakan secara kolaboratif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri No. 166/II Desa Tirta Mulya. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 21 siswa kelas V. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 2 siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari 2 kali pertemuan.. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes, lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data adalah deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dengan strategi pembelajaran aktif tipe index card match dan memperhatikan langkah-langkah pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran serta hasil belajar siswa, maka terdapat peningkatan proses pembelajaran dan hasil belajar sisw
Pengaruh PenerapanStrategi Belajar Aktif tipe Practice Rehearsal pairs Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Mahasiswa STKIP Muhammadiyah Muara Bungo
Student learning outcomes look low. This is one factor that can show that students' mastery of mathematical concepts is still weak. This problem is estimated because learning is still centered on the lecturer, to overcome this problem is by implement learning aktif tipe Practice rehearsal pairs. This research aims to determine whether students’ conceptual understanding of statistical learning aktif tipe Practice rehearsal pairs type active learning is better than understanding students' concepts with conventional learning.
This type of research is experimental research with the subject random design. The population in this research were STKIP students. The sampling technique is random, selected sample class. The instrument used in this research is the final test of learning in the form of essays. The data obtained were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test and t-test.
Based on the results of data analysis obtained the average learning outcomes of students who received treatment were 78,33 higher and the percentage of each indicator understanding the concept in the higher class. From the results of the t statistic test, it was obtained tcount = 2,15and ttable = 1,71, so that tcount > ttable and from MINITAB software obtained p-value = 0.010. It can be seen that p-value is smaller than α = 0.05. It can be concluded that the understanding of the concept of students who use Giving Question and Getting Answer type active learning is better.Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi karena hasil belajar mahasiswa masih rendah,Salah satu cara yang digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan melaksanakan pembe lajaran dengan menerapkan strategi belajar aktif tipe Practice rehearsal pairs. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perkembangan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa STKIP Muhammadiyah muara bungo selama menerapkan strategi belajar aktif tipe Practice rehearsal pairs dan apakah kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematismahasiswadengan menerapkan strategi belajar aktif tipe Practice rehearsal pairs lebih baik dari pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa STKIP Muhammadiyah muara bungo dengan pembelajaran konvensinal.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan rancangan random terhadap subjek, Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah secara acak. Sehingga terpilih kelas sampel sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuis dan tes akhir belajar. Data yang diperoleh di analisis dengan menggunakan uji-t.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh adanya perkembangan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa selama menerapkan strategi belajar aktif tipe Practice rehearsal pairs dan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 78,33 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol yaitu 69,37. Dari hasil uji statistik t diperoleh thitung=2,15 dan ttabel=1,71, sehingga thitung > ttabel dan dari software MINITAB diperoleh p-value=0.018. Terlihat bahwa p-value lebih kecil dari pada . Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang menggunakan pembelajaran aktif tipe Practice rehearsal pairs lebih baik dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa dengan pembelajaran secara konvensional pada taraf kepercayaan 95%
AN ANALYSIS OF PROBLEMS FACED BY FIRST YEAR STUDENTS OF STKIP MUHAMMADIYAH MUARO BUNGO IN WRITING CAUSE AND EFFECT ESSAY
The purpose of this article is to present the result of a study conducted to describe analysis of problem faced by first year students of STKIP Muhammadiyah Muaro Bungo in writing cause and effect essay. This study was a descriptive research design. This research conducted by involving all students of first year students of English Department of STKIP Muhammadiyah Muaro Bungo academic year 2017/2018. Instrument of research were writing test and interview. The findings showed that the students got low score in writing cause and effect essay. It was shown that 16 students ( 88,89%) had difficulties in writing cause and effect essay. There were 12 students (66,67%) had difficulties in organizing ideas, 16 students (88,89%) had difficulties in using correct grammar, 10 students ( 55,56%) had difficulties in using appropriate words, 14 students ( 77,77% ) had difficulties in using transition goal, 9 students ( 50 % ) had difficulties in using mechanics. The causes of this problem were Interlingua transfer, intralingua transfer and vocabulary. Thus, the researchers expect that the writing lecturers are able to give good writing technique, and the students can do more exercises to increase their skill in writing
