Comparative study of company growth through different development stages: start-up phase, consolidation, globalisation
V magistrski nalogi obravnavamo vpliv različnih faz razvoja podjetij na njihovo rast v avtomobilski industriji, eni najpomembnejših svetovnih gospodarskih panog. Avtomobilska industrija je ključna za svetovno gospodarstvo, saj zaposluje milijone ljudi in ustvarja velik delež svetovnega bruto proizvoda.
V teoretičnem delu naloge raziskujemo kvantitativno in kvalitativno rast podjetij ter razločujemo med organskimi in anorganskimi strategijami rasti. V aplikativnem delu analiziramo tri avtomobilska podjetja, ki se nahajajo v različnih fazah razvoja in uporabljajo različne strategije rasti. S konkurenčno in SWOT analizo ocenjujemo finančno stanje podjetij ter preučujemo prednosti in izzive, s katerimi se soočajo. The theoretical part explores quantitative and qualitative growth, distinguishing between organic and inorganic growth strategies. In the applied section, we analyze three automotive companies in different stages of development and using different growth strategies. Through competitive and SWOT analysis, we assess the financial status of the companies and examine the strengths and challenges they face. Based on the results, we provide recommendations on the most suitable growth strategy for the automotive sector
Parental attitudes towards mathematics in the preschool period
Predšolsko obdobje je izjemno pomembno pri spoznavanju osnovnih matematičnih konceptov. Zelo pomembni so prepoznavanje oblik in vzorcev, štetje ter dojemanje količin, vse to pa gradi temelj celostnega kognitivnega razvoja otrok. Otroci pri vsakodnevnih aktivnostih doma pridobijo prve izkušnje z matematiko, starši pa večinoma igrajo ključno vlogo pri krepitvi njihove radovednosti in odnosa do matematike. V vrtcu vzgojitelji dopolnjujejo naučeno in z različnimi aktivnostmi, kot so igre in strukturirane dejavnosti, spodbujajo razumevanje matematičnih pojmov ter gradijo otrokovo samozavest in motivacijo. Sodelovanje med starši in vrtcem je ključno, saj lahko pomembno prispeva k večji vključenosti staršev in usklajenemu spodbujanju ter podpori otrokovega matematičnega razvoja.
Empirični del predstavlja izsledke raziskave, ki je zajela 102 starša predšolskih otrok. Namen raziskave je bil preučiti mnenja staršev glede poznavanja kurikula, pomena zgodnjega učenja matematike, vlog staršev in vzgojiteljev ter matematičnih dejavnosti, ki jih najpogosteje izvajajo doma. Raziskava je pokazala, da starši prepoznavajo pomen zgodnjega spoznavanja matematičnih vsebin, vendar si mnogi želijo več znanja in podpore za izvajanje matematičnih dejavnosti doma. Matere so bolj seznanjene s kurikulom kot očetje, pogostost dejavnosti pa je povezana z vrsto igre in dolžino obiskovanja vrtca. Večina staršev verjame v skupno odgovornost z vrtcem in poudarja pomen sodelovanja pri otrokovem matematičnem razvoju.The preschool period is crucial for early mathematics learning, as children explore fundamental mathematical concepts through play. Recognizing shapes and patterns, counting, and understanding quantities are essential skills that form the foundation for integral cognitive development. At home, children gain their first mathematics experiences through everyday activities, with parents often playing a key role in fostering their curiosity and attitudes toward mathematics. In preschool settings, educators build upon this foundation through games and structured activities that support the development of mathematical understanding and help enhance children\u27s confidence and motivation. Cooperation between parents and preschools is vital, as it can significantly contribute to greater parental involvement and consistent support for the child’s mathematical development.
The empirical part presents findings from research involving 102 parents of preschool children. The research aimed to examine parental perspectives on their knowledge of the curriculum, the importance of early mathematics learning, the roles of parents and educators, and the types of mathematical activities most frequently conducted at home. The results indicate that parents acknowledge the importance of early mathematical experiences, but many express a desire for more knowledge and support in implementing math-related activities at home. Mothers were generally more familiar with the curriculum than fathers, and the frequency of activities was associated with the type of play and the duration of preschool attendance. Most parents believe in shared responsibility with the preschool and emphasize the importance of cooperation in supporting children\u27s mathematical development
Peer violence among children with special needs
Osnovni namen tega diplomskega dela je predstavitev medvrstniškega nasilja pri otrocih s posebnimi potrebami, ki je v sedanji družbi vse bolj razširjeno. Zaradi dinamičnosti in hitro spreminjajočega se sveta so otroci vse bolj zapostavljeni. Zapostavljenost in hrepenenje po občutku varnosti ter zaupanju pa vsekakor vplivata na njihov socialno-čustveni razvoj. Potreba po dokazovanju je prav tako eden od vzrokov za nastanek medvrstniškega nasilja, kar podrobneje predstavljamo v diplomskem delu.
Tudi sami se vsakodnevno srečujemo z otroki s posebnimi potrebami in medvrstniškim nasiljem, zato različne ugotovitve v strokovnih člankih, raziskavah in teorije znanstvenikov lažje povežemo s praktičnimi primeri.
V diplomskem delu predstavljamo oblike medvrstniškega nasilja, podrobneje pa se lotevamo medvrstniškega nasilja v šolah, ki je prevladujoča oblika nasilnih odnosov. Šola predstavlja ustanovo, ki otroku poleg družine skozi odnose z vrstniki, učitelji in drugimi strokovnimi delavci sooblikuje vrednote ter norme. V tej vzgojno-izobraževalni ustanovi lahko spoznamo prednosti in priložnosti, po drugi strani pa so v njej prisotne tudi slabosti, kot so različne oblike nasilja.
V svojem delu predstavljam tudi otroke s posebnimi potrebami, ki so na podlagi vrste in stopnje motnje vključeni v ustrezne vzgojno-izobraževalne programe in institucije. Zaradi svojih »posebnosti« so večkrat žrtve medvrstniškega nasilja.The main purpose of this thesis is to present the issue of peer violence among children with special needs, which is becoming increasingly widespread in today’s society. Due to the dynamic and rapidly changing world, children are often neglected. Such neglect, along with a longing for sense of security and trust, has a significant impact on their social and emotional development. The need to prove oneself is also one of the causes of peer violence, which is discussed in more detail in this thesis.
We, too, encounter children with special needs and peer violence on a daily basis, which allows us to better connect the findings from professional articles, research, and scientific theories with practical examples.
The thesis presents various forms of peer violence, with a particular focus on peer violence in schools, as it is the most prevalent form of violent behaviour among children. The school, in addition to the family, plays a key role in shaping child\u27s values and norms through relationships with peers, teachers, and other educational professionals. In this educational institution, we can observe its advantages and opportunities, but on the other hand, it also reveals its shortcomings, such as various forms of violence.
The thesis also presents children with special needs, who are placed in appropriate educational programs and institutions based on the type and degree of their disabilities. Due to their "differences", they are often victims of peer violence
Spiele und Lieder im frühen Fremdsprachenunterricht Englisch und Deutsch im Kindergarten – Vergleich der Standpunkte von Praktikern
This master’s thesis analyses early foreign language learning, specifically the learning of English and German, in Slovenian kindergartens, with a particular emphasis on the implementation of games and songs in language instruction. The primary aim of this thesis is to investigate teachers’ attitudes and experiences regarding early foreign language teaching in practice. As such, the research focuses on several key areas: teaching methods, the availability and use of teaching materials and the prevalence of songs and games during lessons.
The theoretical part provides an overview of early foreign language learning, including the benefits of early exposure, the influence of age, teaching approaches and strategies, teacher competences and the role of materials, games and songs in early foreign language acquisition. It also examines the Slovenian context, addressing how early language learning is regulated and supported by the National Preschool Curriculum and the availability of formal training for teachers.
The empirical part combines qualitative and quantitative research methods. The qualitative method includes six semi-structured interviews with teachers/preschool teachers of English and German from Maribor and the surrounding area. The quantitative method includes a questionnaire, distributed to kindergartens across various regions of Slovenia and completed by 64 respondents. Together, these approaches complement the theoretical framework and provide valuable insight from practitioners into how foreign languages are taught in practice and aid in identifying areas where improvements could be made.Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem frühen Fremdsprachenlernen im Kindergarten, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf dem Unterricht in den Fremdsprachen Englisch und Deutsch in slowenischen Kindergärten liegt. Im Mittelpunkt der Untersuchung steht die Rolle von Spielen und Liedern im frühen Fremdsprachenunterricht sowie die Perspektiven und Erfahrungen der Lehrkräfte, die in diesem Bereich tätig sind. Angesichts der zunehmenden Relevanz von Mehrsprachigkeit in einer globalisierten Welt gewinnt die Frage nach einem erfolgreichen, kindgerechten Fremdsprachenerwerb im frühen Kindesalter zunehmend an Bedeutung.
Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, einen umfassenden Überblick über die Praxis des Fremdsprachenunterrichts im Kindergarten zu geben und die Einstellungen der Lehrkräfte zu Methoden, Materialien und Herausforderungen zu beleuchten. Dabei wird insbesondere untersucht, wie häufig und auf welche Weise Lieder und Spiele in den Unterricht integriert werden, welche Materialien zur Verfügung stehen und welche didaktischen Ansätze sich im Alltag bewähren
Data platform of the Municipality of Kranj within the framework of a smart city
Pametna mesta se v zadnjih letih pojavljajo kot gonilna sila dela razvoja urbanih naselij. Njihovi temelji segajo krepko v preteklost in se kot takšna ozirajo predvsem na zbiranje in uporabo podatkov, ki nastajajo znotraj poseljenih območij. Razvoj pametnih mest je sčasoma prerasel okvir podatkov, nastajajočih s pomočjo najrazličnejših opazovanj. Namen magistrske naloge je predstaviti, kako se je razvilo razmišljanje o uvedbi podatkovne platforme na Mestni občini Kranj. Med drugim smo prikazali, kako je pilotna izvedba tovrstne rešitve prispevala k razmišljanju in zavedanju o pomembnosti podatkov ter podatkovnih virov. Na podlagi pregleda obstoječega stanja smo izpostavili ključne izzive, s katerimi se dnevno soočajo tovrstni projekti. Skozi celotno nalogo smo podajali priporočila in se opirali na dobre prakse, ki lahko služijo kot zgled pri nadaljnjem razvoju in implementaciji novih funkcionalnosti. Poleg tega smo predstavili najpomembnejše tehnične lastnosti ter tudi uporabniški del podatkovne platforme. Ob zavedanju, da se tovrstni ekosistemi nenehno razvijajo, smo podali pripombe na obstoječ sistem ter kritično podali priporočila za nadaljnji razvoj. Želimo si, da bi naša spoznanja in izkušnje, pridobljene skozi delo na tem projektu, služile kot koristen vir vsem, ki se bodo v prihodnje lotili podobnih projektov.In recent years, smart cities have emerged as a driving force in the development of urban areas. Their foundations go far back into the past, primarily focusing on the collection and use of data generated within populated areas. Over time, the development of smart cities has gone beyond the mere framework of data generated through various forms of observation. The aim of this master\u27s thesis is to present how the idea of introducing a data platform evolved within the City of Kranj. Among other things, we demonstrated how the pilot implementation of such a solution contributed to the awareness and understanding of the importance of data and data sources. Based on an overview of the current situation, we highlighted the key challenges that such projects face on a daily basis. Throughout the thesis, we provided recommendations and referenced good practices that can serve as a model for further development and implementation of new functionalities. In addition, we presented in detail the most important technical features as well as the user aspects of the data platform. Recognizing that such ecosystems are constantly evolving, we commented on the current system and critically outlined recommendations for further development. We hope that our insights and experiences we gained from working on this project will serve as a useful resource for anyone undertaking similar projects in the future
Student teachers’ beliefs about constructivist teaching of the subject environmental studies
Konstruktivizem kot pedagoški pristop poudarja, da učenec znanje oblikuje samostojno, na temelju izkušenj, raziskovanja in socialnih interakcij. Vloga učitelja je predvsem v usmerjanju, spodbujanju mišljenja ter ustvarjanju učnega okolja, ki omogoča aktivno in smiselno učenje. V razrednem pouku, zlasti pri predmetu Spoznavanje okolja v prvem vzgojno-izobraževalnem obdobju, se konstruktivistični pristopi odražajo v uporabi odprtih vprašanj, raziskovalnih nalog, opazovanja v naravnem okolju, dela v skupinah, problemskega in projektnega učenja. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili ključne koncepte konstruktivizma in prikazali, kako so ti vključeni v cilje, vsebine in didaktična priporočila za pouk Spoznavanja okolja.
Empirični del temelji na kvantitativni raziskavi, v kateri smo s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, ki vključuje lestvico STEBI-B ter izbrane trditve o vlogi učenca in učitelja, analizirali stopnjo strinjanja s konstruktivističnimi pristopi poučevanja. Podatke smo analizirali glede na različne demografske in izkustvene spremenljivke (npr. letnik študija, okolje osnovne šole, osebna naklonjenost do predmeta, dejavnik izkušnje).
Rezultati kažejo, da študenti v veliki meri podpirajo konstruktivistične pristope, pri čemer so razlike v odgovorih statistično značilne predvsem glede na izkušnjo s predmetom in osebno naklonjenost. Ugotovitve nakazujejo, da je ključnega pomena ustrezna priprava bodočih učiteljev na uporabo sodobnih, aktivnih pristopov poučevanja, ki spodbujajo samostojnost, ustvarjalnost in raziskovalno naravnanost učencev.The theoretical part of the thesis is grounded in constructivist pedagogy, which emphasizes the learner’s active engagement in the construction of knowledge. Learning is seen as a dynamic process shaped by experience, inquiry, and social interaction. In the context of Spoznavanje okolja (Environmental Studies) in the first cycle of primary school, constructivist principles are reflected in teaching methods that promote observation, critical thinking, hands-on activities, and real-world connections. The teacher’s role is to facilitate a supportive and stimulating learning environment that fosters collaboration, curiosity, and student autonomy. The theoretical section also presents the curricular and didactic framework of the subject, highlighting how constructivist strategies can be effectively applied in early science education.
The empirical part is based on a quantitative study, in which we used a survey questionnaire incorporating the STEBI-B scale and selected statements about the roles of the student and teacher to analyse the level of agreement with constructivist teaching approaches. The data was analysed with respect to various demographic and experiential variables (e.g., year of study, school environment, personal preference for the subject, and experience-related factors).
The results show that students largely support constructivist approaches, with statistically significant differences in responses primarily linked to experience with the subject and personal preference. The findings indicate that properly preparing future teachers to use modern, active teaching approaches—which promote student independence, creativity, and inquiry-based learning—is of key importance
The effectiveness of learning to ski in preschool children based on their motor abilities
Namen diplomskega dela je bil ugotoviti vpliv motoričnih sposobnosti predšolskih otrok na učenje smučanja. Empirična raziskava je zajemala neslučajnostni vzorec iz konkretne populacije 5-6 let starih otrok iz Vrtca Podčetrtek, ki so se udeležili smučarskega tečaja v organizaciji vrtca. Podatke smo zbrali s kvantitativno tehniko, in sicer s pomočjo standardiziranega testa gibalne učinkovitosti MOT4-6, merjenjem telesne sestave z Body Composition Analyzer DC-430MA in video snemanjem inicialnega in finalnega znanja smučanja. V sklopu analize podatkov smo izvedli t-test za odvisne vzorce, osnovno deskriptivno statistiko in linearno regresijsko analizo. Podrobneje smo raziskali povezavo med gibalno učinkovitostjo in uspešnostjo učenja smučanja ter povezavo med deležem mišične mase in uspešnostjo učenja smučanja. Za naš vzorec udeležencev se je izkazalo, da gibalna učinkovitost in delež mišične mase ne vplivata na uspešnost učenja smučanja predšolskih otrok.The aim of the diploma thesis was to determine the influence of the motor abilities of preschool children on the effectiveness of learning to ski. The empirical research encompassed a non-random sample of a specific population of 5-6-year-old children from the Podčetrtek kindergarten who took part in a ski-learning course, organized by the kindergarten.
The data were gathered by means of a quantitative technique, that is, with the standardized Motor-Proficiency-Test MOT4-6, measuring body composition with Body Composition Analyzer DC-430MA, and video recording of both the initial and final skiing knowledge.
For data analysis, we carried out a t-test for dependent samples, basic descriptive statistics, and linear regression analysis. We researched in detail the correlation between motor effectiveness and success in ski learning, as well as the connection between muscle mass proportion and ski-learning performance. Based on our sample, it was determined that motor effectiveness and muscle mass proportion do not influence the success of ski learning in preschool children
A comparison of the efficacy of antiseptic alcohol solutions with chlorhexidine and alcohol solutions with povidone-iodine in the preparation of the surgical site
Uvod: Učinkovita predoperativna antisepsa kože je ključna za preprečevanje okužb kirurškega mesta, ki so povezane z večjo obolevnostjo in stroški zdravljenja. Kljub pogosti uporabi antiseptikov na osnovi klorheksidina in povidon-jodida ni soglasja glede njihove primerjalne učinkovitosti. Namen zaključnega dela je preučiti in primerjati učinkovitost antiseptičnih alkoholnih raztopin, kot sta klorheksidin in povidon-jodid, pri preprečevanju okužb kirurških ran.
Metode: Izveden je bil pregled literature v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate in ScienceDirect. Vključitveni kriteriji so bili randomizirane kontrolirane raziskave ter sistematični pregledi v angleškem jeziku. Pregled literature je prikazan v PRISMA diagramu. Izvedena je bila kritična ocena analiziranih raziskav, rezultati so prikazani opisno v evalvacijski in sintezni tabeli.
Rezultati: V analizo je bilo vključenih osem raziskav. V večini je bila ugotovljena rahla prednost antiseptika s klorheksidinom pri zmanjševanju pogostosti okužb operativnega mesta. Učinkovitost antiseptika je bila odvisna tudi od vrste kirurškega posega, koncentracije pripravka in kliničnega okolja.
Razprava in zaključek: Zaradi heterogenosti rezultatov in odsotnosti enotnih primerjalnih pogojev ni mogoče oblikovati univerzalnega priporočila o izbiri antiseptika. Uporaba antiseptika mora biti prilagojena posameznemu kliničnemu primeru. Za oblikovanje trdnejših smernic so potrebne nadaljnje visokokakovostne raziskave.Introduction: Effective preoperative skin antisepsis is crucial for preventing surgical site infections, which are associated with increased morbidity and healthcare costs. Despite the frequent use of antiseptics based on chlorhexidine and povidone-iodine, there is no consensus regarding their comparative effectiveness. The aim of this thesis is to investigate and compare the efficacy of antiseptic alcohol solutions, such as chlorhexidine and povidone-iodine, in preventing surgical wound infections.
Methods: A literature review was conducted using databases such as PubMed, CINAHL Ultimate, and ScienceDirect. Inclusion criteria included randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews published in English. The literature review is presented in a PRISMA diagram. A critical evaluation of the analyzed studies was carried out, and the results are presented descriptively in an evaluation and synthesis table.
Results: Eight studies were included in the analysis. In most studies, a slight advantage of the chlorhexidine-based antiseptic was found in reducing the incidence of surgical site infections. The effectiveness of the antiseptic also depended on the type of surgical procedure, the concentration of the solution, and the clinical environment.
Discussion and Conclusion: Due to the heterogeneity of the results and the lack of uniform comparative conditions, it is not possible to form a universal recommendation regarding the choice of antiseptic. The use of antiseptics must be tailored to the individual clinical case. Further high-quality research is needed to establish more robust guidelines
Reduction of Illegal Adoptions as a Form of Children Trafficking in Europe
V magistrskem delu je bilo obravnavano omejevanje nezakonitih posvojitev kot oblike trgovine z otroki v Evropi. Namen raziskave je bil identificirati značilnosti primerov nezakonitih posvojitev v evropskih državah, določiti, katera področja, povezana s problematiko nezakonitih posvojitev, obravnavajo analizirani članki, prepoznati ključne akterje in žrtve ter načine odkrivanja, preiskovanja in dokazovanja tovrstnih kaznivih dejanj in obstoječe ukrepe za omejevanje nezakonitih posvojitev. V analizo so bili vključeni znanstveni, strokovni in poljudni časopisni članki, izbrani s pomočjo metode PRISMA. Vsebinska analiza je bila izvedena s kodiranjem izjav iz člankov in razvrstitvijo v tematske sklope. Ugotovljena je bila pogosta pojavnost ponarejanja dokumentacije, manipulacije oziroma prisile bioloških staršev, lažnega prikazovanja otrok kot sirot, humanitarnega utemeljevanja kot tudi stigmatizacije samskih in neporočenih mater. Zaznani ukrepi za omejevanje nezakonitih posvojitev so bili pogosto reaktivni, uporabljeni kot odziv na razkrite nezakonitosti v preteklosti, storilci pa pogosto niso bili kaznovani, bodisi zaradi zastaranja bodisi zaradi pomanjkanja dokazov. Razlike med znanstvenimi, strokovnimi in poljudnimi časopisnimi članki so bile zaznane predvsem v načinu predstavitve problematike. Prvi so izpostavili sistemske vzroke za nastanek nezakonitosti v posvojitvenih postopkih, drugi pa čustvene vidike posameznih primerov. Za učinkovito omejevanje je bila poudarjena potreba po mednarodnem sodelovanju, krepitvi nadzora nad posvojitvenimi postopki, vzpostavitvi ustreznih zaščitnih mehanizmov in ustrezni pravni ureditvi nezakonitih posvojitev.The master\u27s thesis addresed the reduction of illegal adoptions as a form of children trafficking in Europe. The aim of the research was to identify the characteristics of illegal adoption cases in European countries, to determine which areas related to the issue of illegal adoptions are covered by the analyzed articles, to identify the key actors and victims, as well as the methods of detection, investigation and prosecution of such criminal acts, and the existing measures aimed at reducing illegal adoptions. The analysis included scientific, professional and popular journal articles selected by using PRISMA method. Content analysis was performed with coding of statements from the articles and classification into thematic groups. The prevalance of forged documentation, manipulation or coercion of byological parents, false presentation of children as orphans, humanitarian justification, as well as stigmatization of single and unmarried mothers was identified. The measures detected to reduct illegal adoptions were often reactive, implemented in response to previously uncovered irregularities, while perpetratos were often not prosecuted, either due to statute od limitations or lack of evidence. Difference among scientific, professional, and popular sources were observed primarily in how the issue was presented. The former highlighted systemic causes for the emergence of illegality in adoption procedures, while the latter focused on the emotional aspects of individual cases. For effective reduction, the need for international cooperation, enhanced oversight of adoption procedures, the establishment of appropriate safeguards, and a suitable legal framework for illegal adoptions was emphasized
DETECTION OF VIOLENCE IN MEDICAL CARE AND MEASURES FOR ITS REDUCTION
Zdravstveni delavci so zaradi narave svojega poklica toliko bolj izpostavljeni tveganju, da doživijo nasilje na delovnem mestu s strani pacientov. Cilj diplomskega dela je ugotoviti v kolikšni meri zaposleni v zdravstvu prepoznajo nasilje, ter kako pogosto se nasilje nad zaposlenimi s strani pacientov v zdravstvu pojavlja. Na podlagi pregleda literature in raziskav smo ugotovili in potrdili visoko stopnjo pojavnosti nasilja nad zdravstvenimi delavci. Najpogosteje se zaposleni v zdravstvu srečujejo s psihičnim nasiljem. Pri ugotavljanju nezadovoljstva glede na vidik obravnave, smo ugotovili, da so pacienti najbolj nezadovoljni z dolgimi čakalnimi dobami. Med nezadovoljstvom obravnave in izražanjem nezadovoljstva smo dokazali povezanost psihičnega nasilja z dolgimi čakalnimi dobami ter fizičnega nasilja z čakanjem na izvid preiskave. Nasilnega pacienta, medicinska sestra najpogosteje poskuša umiriti tako, da z njim govori z umirjenim tonom glasu. Glede na delovno dobo anketiranih so se pokazali rezultati, da se anketirani z daljšo delovno dobo (11 let in več) v povprečju najbolj strinjajo s tem, da pacientu, ki izraža kakršnekoli znake nasilnega vedenja ponudijo izbiro strokovne pomoči. V primeru nasilnega vedenja pacienta 91,3 % vseh anketiranih ni podala uradne prijave. Ugotovili smo, da se je tretjina anketiranih že udeležila izobraževanja na temo nasilja v zdravstvu. Več kot četrtina anketiranih si v prihodnje zelo želi udeležiti izobraževanja o soočanju z nasilnimi situacijami. V diplomskem delu smo predstavili priporočila za omejevanje nasilja v zdravstvu. Opozorili smo na pomembnost ozaveščanja pacientov o nedopustnem ravnanju vsakršnega nasilja z namenom zmanjšanja le tega. V prihodnje predlagamo večjo možnost izobraževanja zaposlenih v zdravstvu na tovrstno problematiko. Potrebno bi bilo omogočiti delavnice različnih tehnik preprečevanja in ukrepanja ob tovrstnem dogodku. S pridobljenim tovrstnim znanjem bi zaposleni v zdravstvu preprečili marsikatero nasilno situacijo pacienta nad zaposlenimi. Prav tako bi v zdravstvenih ustanovah bilo potrebno nameniti večjo pozornost varnosti zaposlenihDue to the nature of their profession, healthcare professionals are more exposed to the risk of experiencing patient violence in their workplace. The goal of the paper was to determine to what extent healthcare professionals detect violence and how frequent patient violence towards employees is in healthcare. Based on a literature and research review, we determined and confirmed a high level of violence towards healthcare professionals. Healthcare professionals are most commonly victims of psychological violence. When determining dissatisfaction with different aspects of treatment, we determined that patients are the most dissatisfied with long waiting times. In studying the dissatisfaction with treatment and the expression of dissatisfaction, we proved the correlation between psychological violence and long waiting times as well as physical violence and the period of waiting for test results. Nurses most commonly try to calm down a violent patient by speaking to them with a calm voice. When it came to the length of service of the respondents, the results showed that respondents with the longest length of service (11 years and more) agree the most, on average, that they offer professional help to a patient displaying any signs of violent behaviour. In the event of violent patient behaviour, 91.3% of all respondents did not formally report it. We determined that a third of respondents had already undergone training on violence in healthcare. More than a quarter of respondents wish to attend training on how to cope with violent situations in the future. In this paper, we presented recommendations to reduce violence in healthcare. We highlighted the importance of making patients aware of the intolerance of any form of violence with intention of reducing such violence. In the future, we suggest enabling more opportunities for training of
healthcare professionals in this field. Workshops about different methods for reducing such events and taking measures should be allowed. By obtaining such knowledge, healthcare professionals would prevent several instances of patient violence towards employees. In addition, greater attention should be paid to employee safety in healthcare institutions
