This article examines the reception of the Qur'an on social media through an analysis of a podcast episode titled ‘Dicky Difie: Anything for my mum, so I'm willing to be m1skin!!’. The primary focus is on Qur’anic values, particularly those related to filial piety, sacrifice, and ethical commitment, which are reinterpreted and recontextualised within social media narratives. This study aims to explore the reception of the Qur'an on social media: a case study of the podcast Login episode: “Dicky Difie: anything for nyokap, so m1skin I'm willing!!!”. Using Ahmad Rafiq's living qur'an theory approach which emphasizes the reader's response to the Qur'an. The reception initiated by Ahmad Rafiq consists of three forms and two of them can be found in this Login podcast, namely exegesis reception in the form of understanding the Qur'an in accordance with existing translations or interpretations, aesthetic reception, namely interpreting the Qur'an based on its beauty either musically or in the form of calligraphy art. Using the content-analysis method, which analyzes the form of reception displayed in the content, then criticizes the transformation in it. This article concludes that QS. Luqman: 12-14 in this podcast has different interpretations from the scholars of tafsir who interpret this verse as a form of honouring the role of parents, especially mothers who have sacrificed for their children, whereas in this podcast, the understanding of QS. Luqman: 12-14 is interpreted as a child's negligence in giving attention to the role of the mother, who serves as the gateway to guidance for a child. Additionally, reciting the Qur'an with proper pronunciation (tartil) is highly appreciated as a testament to the miraculous nature of the Qur'an, which possesses a high artistic value within it

The Paradigm of Reconstructing Fazlur Rahman's Ethical-Legal Contextual Interpretation of the Qur'an: Paradigma Rekonstruksi Tafsir Kontekstual Etik-Hukum Al-Qur’an Fazlur Rahman

    No full text
The Qur’an contains not only spiritual and theological values but also ethical and legal principles aimed at building a just and civilized society. However, traditional approaches to interpreting legal verses of the Qur’an tend to be literalist, atomistic, and insufficiently responsive to complex social transformations. This condition highlights the urgent need for methodological renewal in interpreting the Qur’an’s ethical-legal messages to ensure their continued relevance in contemporary contexts. This study aims to examine in depth the ethical-legal interpretive paradigm of the Qur’an in the thought of Fazlur Rahman, a prominent modernist Muslim thinker who offers a moral-conceptual approach through his Double Movement Theory. The research focuses on three main aspects: (1) Fazlur Rahman’s paradigm of ethical-legal Qur’anic interpretation, (2) his critique of traditional Islamic exegesis, and (3) the implications of his ideas for the development of contemporary Islamic legal thought. This study employs a qualitative library research method using content analysis of Fazlur Rahman’s primary works and relevant secondary literature. The distinction of this study lies in its emphasis on the ethical-legal dimension of Qur’anic interpretation, a topic that has rarely been systematically explored. Its novelty lies in the integration of the Double Movement Theory within the framework of ethical-legal interpretation that is responsive to social justice values and the dynamics of modern life. The findings demonstrate that Rahman’s approach enables a reconstruction of Islamic legal hermeneutics to become more contextual, humanistic, and rooted in the Qur’an’s universal moral values. This study affirms the importance of a dynamic ethical-legal interpretive paradigm as a foundational basis for developing Islamic legal thought that remains adaptive and relevant to the challenges of the modern era

The utilization of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) as a source of traditional medicine has not been fully optimized within the context of economic empowerment in Dadapan Village. One of the potential plants in TOGA is lemongrass (Cymbopogon sp.), which contains high-value lemongrass oil. This study aims to examine a community empowerment approach based on local potential in Dadapan Village, Kendal Subdistrict, Ngawi Regency, East Java, through a workshop program on lemongrass oil production as a form of sustainable TOGA optimization. The method used refers to the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) theory approach, which focuses on five main principles: Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, and Destiny. Through local asset mapping, needs identification, and participatory intervention design, this program encourages the creation of added value for the community by utilizing existing resources. The results of the program implementation show an increase in the community’s technical knowledge of lemongrass oil distillation processes, as well as a growing collective initiative to transform TOGA into a productive economic resource. Thus, the ABCD approach has proven effective in building independence based on local potential while promoting the transformation of TOGA from a merely consumptive function to a productive one. The implications of this activity are not only ecological and economic but also support social sustainability through the strengthening of community capacity in a participatory and sustainable manner.Pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) sebagai sumber pengobatan tradisional belum sepenuhnya dioptimalkan dalam konteks pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Dadapan. Full text link
Mathematical problem-solving skills (MPSS) and mathematical communication skills (MCS) has a very close relationship. Before solving a problem, students should understand the problem first, processing and presenting their answer, which is a MCS. Different from the previous study, this study reveal the relationship and interaction between students’ MPSS and MCS using a qualitative approach. To do this, a case study method is conducted using valid test and interviews. The test consist of three cases: smartphone storage, riddle about number of chickens and the coop, and area of land to be planted with corn. The participants of this study were eighth-grade 18 students from various junior high scholl and region in West Sumatra. Data analysis used is a descriptive analysis of students' test answers and interview results. The results show that there are five of nine interactions between MPSS and MCS: solver, self-solver, sharer, regular, and receiver. Solver is a student with high MPSS and MCS (2 students), self solver is a student with high MPSS but moderate MCS (6 students), sharer is a student with moderate MPSS but high MCS (4 students), regular is a student with moderate MPSS and MCS (3 students), and receiver is a student with low MPSS and MCS (3 students). The results of this study also show that the relationship between MPSS and MCS is very close. Although there are students who have MPSS and MCS that do not match, this is inseparable from the limitations of the research conducted

This study aims to analyze the variations in students' obstacles and difficulties in mathematical literacy across different skill levels and learning styles. Through qualitative research with a phenomenological approach, the subject selected using purposive sampling. This research involved nine students of a junior high school in Bandung, Indonesia, each representing three learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) and three levels of mathematical literacy (high, medium, and low). Data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings relveal that students' obstacles and difficulties in mathematical literacy varie based on their skill levels and learning styles. Students with moderate and low skills commonly experience difficulties in understanding context, processing information, creating mathematical models, and arguing and evaluating solutions. Differences in learning styles also determine the types of obstacles and difficulties that arise: visual students have difficulty in understanding verbal information, auditory students have difficulty in interpreting symbols and visual representations without verbal explanations, and kinesthetic students need concrete experiences to understand abstract concepts. These findings emphasize the importance of adjusting learning strategies so that all stages of mathematical literacy can develop optimally for all students with varie learning styles

Relational Personalization in Digital Gifted Learning: A PRISMA-Based Systematic Review of Meaning, Teacher Role, and the Paradox of Inclusivity

Abstract. Digital transformation has fundamentally changed how gifted students interact with knowledge, yet emotional alienation and inequitable access persist despite technological opportunities. To systematically understand the meaning and experience of digital learning for gifted students through qualitative synthesis of international literature. Systematic searches were conducted in Scopus, Web of Science, ScienceDirect, MDPI, Taylor & Francis, and Google Scholar from January 2020 to September 2025. Peer-reviewed articles in English or Indonesian, published 2020-2025, focusing on digital learning for gifted/talented students in education, psychology, or learning technology fields, with full-text accessibility. Gifted students (high cognitive ability, above-average intellectual potential) engaged in digital learning environments across various educational contexts. Two independent reviewers conducted screening and selection following PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Quality assessment used the CASP Qualitative Checklist. From 312 identified articles, 10 studies met inclusion criteria after systematic review. Three major themes emerged: (1) cognitive autonomy coupled with emotional loneliness in digital environments; (2) teachers' evolving role as human mediators amid algorithmic learning; (3) paradoxical inclusivity—technology expands access but fails to guarantee social acceptance. These findings reveal digital gifted learning success depends not only on technological sophistication but also on educational systems' capacity to restore relational and empathetic dimensions. Literature predominantly represents global/Western contexts with limited representation from Indonesian or Islamic educational settings. Secondary data analysis restricts depth of affective experience understanding. Digital gifted learning requires "relational personalization"—combining technological personalization with human connection, empathy, and meaning-making. Policymakers should balance efficiency with psychosocial wellbeing; curriculum developers must design collaborative, reflective learning; educators need professional development in meaning mediation, not just platform literacy
