Pengembangan Kompetensi Arsiparis di IAIN Kerinci: Meningkatkan Efisiensi dan Transparansi Pengelolaan Arsip Perguruan Tinggi
Efficient and transparent archival management is a crucial aspect in supporting the smooth operation of higher education institutions, including IAIN Kerinci. Although there are regulations governing archival management, such as those outlined in Law No. 43 of 2009 on Archiving, archival management at IAIN Kerinci still faces various challenges, particularly related to the limited human resources (HR) with expertise in archiving and the suboptimal management of digital archives. This study aims to evaluate the existing archival management system at IAIN Kerinci, identify the challenges faced, and provide solutions through functional archivist training. The method used is a qualitative approach, conducting Functional Archivist Education and Training (Diklat) focused on improving technical competencies in managing both manual and digital archives. The results show that this training successfully enhanced archivists' skills in managing archives in a more organized, efficient, and technology-aligned manner. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of increasing HR capacity in archival management and the application of technology in digital archival systems to improve transparency and accountability. In conclusion, this training program significantly contributes to more efficient archival management at IAIN Kerinci, which in turn supports administrative processes and decision-making based on accurate and secure data
Pendirian Taman Baca Masyarakat sebagai Upaya Awal Memberikan Semangat Membaca di Desa Cipayung
Tingkat literasi indonesia yang masih rendah, terutama di wilayah pedesaan dengan minimnya bahan bacaan, mendorong dilakukannya pengabdian ini. Tujuan utama kegiatan ini adalah mendiirkan Taman Baca Masyarakat (TBM) sebagai upaya yang simetris untuk menumbuhkan motivasi dan kebiasan membaca bagi anak-anak Sekolah Dasar dan masyarakat Desa Cipayung. Metode yang di gunakan adalah Kuliah Kerja Nyata (kukerta) UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), di mana mahasiswa dan masyarakat berkolaborasi aktif dalam penyiapan fasilitas TBM selama kurang lebih tiga minggu. Proses ini mencakup observasi awal, penentuan lokasi di bangunan tak terpakai, pengadaan donasi buku, hingga penyiapan fisik ruang TBM dengan gotong royong, seperti pengecatan dan pembuatan rak buku dari barang bekas. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa TBM berhasil didirikan dan diresmikan sebagai pusat kegiatan non-formal dan sosial. Keberhasilan ini ditandai dengan tingginya kolaborasi dan gotong royong masyarakat dalam penyiapan fisik TBM. Antusiasme terlihat dari partisipasi lebih dari 40 orang dalam acara peresmian. Kesimpulan, TBM mampu menjadi katalisator perubahan budaya, memberdayakan masyarakat melalui literasi, dan menumbuhkan semangat membac
Arabic Speaking Learning: A Suitable Method Can Be Used By Teacher
This paper aims to provide an overview of improving speaking skills (Maharah Al-Kalam) in learning Arabic through the presentation of methods and learning techniques, according to experts, which aims to make it easier for Arabic language educators to teach Arabic language skills with creative methods. In the context of learning Arabic. The reason for conducting this research is due to the low ability of students to master the language skills while learning Arabic at school. The research method that the authors used in this study, based on the sources studied, was library research. The results of the study stated that students were equipped with basic speaking skills to improve speech proficiency, such as practicing the application of dialogue patterns, vocabulary, rules, facial expressions, and so on. Several techniques might be used in this exercise, including dialogue (Al-Hiwar), pattern practice (Tathbiq Al-Namudzaj), and oral essays (Al-Tarkib Al-Syafawi). Of the several methods of learning language skills presented in this paper, according to the researcher, the most suitable method used in learning speaking skills is the direct method
Reformasi Pemikiran dan Praktik Pendidikan Islam: Analisis Komparatif atas Gagasan Muhammad Qasim Zaman di Timur Tengah dan Asia Selatan
This article explores the reform of Islamic educational thought and practice through a comparative analysis of Muhammad Qasim Zaman's perspectives on the Middle East and South Asia. The method used in this research is qualitative, using content analysis techniques on Zaman's book, Modern Islamic Thought in a Radical Age: Religious Authority and Internal Criticism, as well as Zaman's other books and writings. The analysis focuses on how religious authority, the role of clerics, and political engagement affect Islamic educational institutions and discourses. The findings show that Zaman presents a critical reflection on the intersection between tradition and modernity in both regions, demonstrating how educational reforms were shaped by debates between traditionalist and modernist currents. These dynamics contributed to the formation of new educational models-such as reformed madrasas and integrated universities-that sought to integrate classical Islamic knowledge with modern sciences. This study highlights Zaman's contribution to understanding the trajectory of Islamic education reform in different socio-political contexts
Integrasi Tradisi dan Modernitas dalam Reformasi Pendidikan Pesantren: Studi Kasus Kawasan Pesantren Sidosermo Surabaya
Pesantren plays an important role in Islamic education in Indonesia. However, in the modern era, pesantren face challenges in adapting traditional values with formal education and modern technology. This study aims to examine the reform of pesantren in Sidosermo, Surabaya, in integrating traditional values with the modern education system. The research method used is a mixed methods method with an exploratory approach. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document studies, while quantitative data were collected through surveys and analyzed using statistical regression. The results showed that teaching methods had the most significant influence on the level of pesantren adaptation (β = 3.906), followed by teacher qualifications (β = 3.740) and facilities and infrastructure (β = 1.581). The support of ulama played a major role in pesantren reform (Sig. = 0.007), although in some cases it can be an obstacle if it is not in line with modernization policies. The conclusion of this study is that pesantren reform must be carried out gradually with an inclusive approach, involving all stakeholders so that it can be widely accepted without eliminating the identity of the pesantren. This study is expected to contribute to the development of sustainable pesantren education policies in the modern era
Makna Simbolik Bale dalam Ritual Keagamaan Melayu Muslim Tanjungbalai: Studi Fenomenologis
This study investigates the symbolic meanings of bale in Malay Muslim family rituals in Tanjungbalai and how they sustain social cohesion. Despite its ubiquity, prior research rarely maps the moral grammar of bale, traces intergenerational transmission, or specifies the minimum etiquette that legitimizes recent variations. Using a qualitative phenomenological cultural design, we collected data through nonparticipant observation at khataman, aqiqah, and upah upah; in depth semi structured interviews with religious leaders, adat figures, artisans and organizers, and household members; and document review. The researcher served as the primary instrument. Thematic analysis consisted of iterative coding, theme development, and verification, supported by triangulation, member checking, and an audit trail to ensure trustworthiness. Findings show that bale functions as a value laden sign system rather than ornamentation. Core elements include pulut, egg, inti made from coconut and palm sugar, meat, cover or symmetry, and tiered placement; together they index gratitude, adab, solidarity, sacrifice, and orderly conduct. Although forms vary by event and family preference, the aims of gratitude, etiquette, and silaturahim remain stable. Modernization introduces looser color palettes and occasional uncovered bale, which are accepted when minimum etiquette and communal legitimacy are preserved. Youth knowledge is shaped by family practice and by guidance from religious and adat authorities. The study specifies simple etiquette thresholds and practical supports—concise documentation, intergenerational education, and local leadership—to sustain bale as a medium for transmitting Islamic Malay values and strengthening social bonds
Research Trends on the Integration of Digitalization in Mathematics Education to Develop Students’ Affective Domain: A Systematic Literature Review
This study aims to map research trends and directions related to the integration of digitalization in mathematics education for the development of students’ affective domains through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). A total of 175 articles published in SINTA 2–accredited mathematics education journals over the past three years were analyzed. The identification, screening, and reporting processes followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The analysis focused on five main aspects: research methods, types of affective domains investigated, research participants, and forms of digital learning used. The results indicate that quantitative and research-and-development (R&D) approaches dominate the literature, with learning motivation, attitudes toward mathematics, and learning interest as the most frequently examined affective aspects. Junior secondary school students (SMP/MTs) were the most common research participants, while studies involving mathematics teachers remain limited. In terms of digital media, e-modules and Android-based applications were the most frequently utilized. These findings suggest that current research on the digitalization of mathematics education primarily focuses on affective aspects that are relatively easy to measure. This study provides a systematic overview of recent research trends and highlights future research opportunities, particularly in exploring more complex affective dimensions and innovative digital technologies
Penyuluhan Mengenal Digital Finance dan Aplikasi Keuangan di Desa Bunga Tanjung Kabupaten Kerinci
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Hiang Village, Setinjau Laut District, face challenges of limited visibility and market access due to the minimal utilization of digital technology. This low technology adoption is caused by a lack of knowledge, skills, and awareness regarding the potential of digital marketing. This community service activity aimed to enhance the capacity of MSME owners in utilizing Google Maps as a tool to increase their business visibility. The method employed was a participatory counseling approach, which included three stages: planning, implementation (consisting of socialization, theoretical presentation, and hands-on practice), and evaluation (through a post-test, feedback, and monitoring). The results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding, with over 90% passing the post-test. Moreover, there was a high rate of technology adoption, with 84% of participants successfully registering their businesses on Google Maps after the training. It is concluded that this outreach activity was effective in empowering MSMEs, providing a practical solution to the visibility problem, and serving as a strategic first step in bridging the digital divide in rural areas.Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Hiang, Kecamatan Setinjau Laut, menghadapi tantangan keterbatasan visibilitas dan akses pasar akibat minimnya pemanfaatan teknologi digital. Rendahnya adopsi teknologi ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kesadaran akan potensi pemasaran digital. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas pelaku UMKM dalam memanfaatkan Google Maps sebagai alat untuk meningkatkan visibilitas usaha. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dengan pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi tiga tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan yang terdiri dari sosialisasi, pemaparan teori, dan praktik langsung, serta evaluasi melalui tes akhir, umpan balik, dan monitoring. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta secara signifikan, di mana lebih dari 90% berhasil dalam tes akhir. Selain itu, terjadi adopsi teknologi yang tinggi dengan 84% peserta berhasil mendaftarkan usahanya di Google Maps pasca-pelatihan. PELATIHAN PENERAPAN MODEL RHOMI (REALISTIC AND HOLISTIC MATHEMATICS INTEGRATION) BAGI GURU DALAM MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DI SMPN 8 KOTA SUNGAI PENUH
This community service program aimed to enhance teachers’ competencies in implementing mathematics instruction oriented toward the development of students’ critical thinking skills through training on the RHOMI (Realistic and Holistic Mathematics Integration) model. The program was conducted at SMPN 8 Kota Sungai Penuh using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, positioning teachers as active participants throughout all stages of the program, including planning, action, observation, and reflection. The PAR approach was selected to ensure that the training was participatory, contextual, and sustainable, in line with teachers’ actual classroom needs. The results indicated an improvement in teachers’ understanding of realistic and holistic mathematics learning, as well as a shift in instructional practices from procedural teaching toward more dialogical, reflective, and critical-thinking-oriented learning. Teachers were able to design RHOMI-based instructional materials that integrated real-life contexts with mathematical concepts in a coherent manner. Furthermore, the program fostered collaboration and reflective practices among teachers. From the results of this Review, a literature review approach was carried out with a systematic mapping study method from various sources such as journals and books. The results of this review found various factors causing financial recession actions, the factors are rationalization, incentives, abilities, arrogance, collusion, needs, lifestyle , exposure, integrity, irreligion, systemic wealth inequality, significant distance between leaders and subordinates. The tendency of financial recession can be minimized by implementing generic aspects such as building integrity (equaling and strengthening noble character), creating exemplary leadership, minimizing opportunities, developing a good internal control system, developing recession prevention policies and systems, developing monitoring systems, hotlines, and whistle blowing systems, developing reward and punishment systems, and implementing a healthy economy, and creating a balance of power
