Pendekatan Filsafat dalam Studi Islam di Era Moderen: Relevansi dan Tantangan Gaya Hidup Generasi Z
This study aims to analyze the relevance of philosophical approaches in Islamic studies to the challenges of Generation Z lifestyle in the modern era, as well as to identify strategies for implementing Islamic philosophical values in contemporary digital life. Generation Z faces a dilemma between maintaining Islamic identity and meeting the demands of modernity that often conflict with religious principles. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach based on library research. The research sample consists of literature relevant to the research theme, including academic books, scientific journal articles, and digital content discussing Islamic philosophy, Generation Z characteristics, and modernity issues. The research instrument uses systematic literature selection techniques with criteria of thematic relevance, social and philosophical context relevance, and thematic continuity related to Islamic philosophy and Generation Z lifestyle. Data analysis is conducted through data source triangulation to ensure validity and objectivity of findings. The research results show that Islamic philosophical approaches, particularly the concepts of tawhid, Islamic epistemology (integration of naqli and aqli knowledge), Islamic ethics, and theology, have high relevance in helping Generation Z face modern lifestyle challenges. The discussion reveals three main aspects: Generation Z challenges in the digital context include social alienation, value conflicts, and critical attitudes toward religious institutions; the relevance of Islamic philosophy lies in its ability to integrate rationality and spirituality; and strategies for facing modernity through the unification of revelation and reasoning, strengthening Islamic ethics in the digital world, and understanding Islamic metaphysics. The research conclusion affirms that Islamic philosophy provides a framework of thought that can guide Generation Z to maintain their Islamic identity while adapting to the demands of the times, enabling them to live a balanced life between spirituality and modernity
Diskursus Childfree di Media Sosial: Analisis Implikasi Demografis, Hak Asasi Manusia, dan Maqashid Syariah
Social media platforms have become places where various individuals express their views on current issues. The Childfree phenomenon has become a widely discussed topic on social media, especially in Indonesia, along with the increasing number of individuals choosing not to have children after marriage. On one hand, the decision to adopt a Childfree lifestyle reflects individual freedom in determining the direction of one's life, which is part of human rights. However, on the other hand, the decision to adopt a Childfree lifestyle has garnered both support and opposition within society, especially in the context of cultural, religious, and demographic values. This phenomenon is rapidly developing with the support of globalization and easy access to information, which allows for an increasingly open discourse on individual freedom in making life choices. This research aims to analyze the childfree phenomenon on social media from the perspective of a demographic threat, human rights perspective, and maqashid sharia. This research uses qualitative methods, with interview techniques involving informants from various backgrounds, including religious figures, medical personnel, and academics in the city of Palangka Raya. The research results indicate that there are significant differences in perspectives on this phenomenon.From a religious perspective, being childfree is viewed as contrary to the principles of maqashid sharia, especially in the aspect of hifz nasl (preservation of lineage). MATUR: Web-Based Platform Innovation to Facilitate Final Assignment Management in Higher Education
This study aims to develop and implement a web-based platform, "Matur," designed to improve the management of final projects at the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Nurul Jadid University, Probolinggo, East Java. The research utilizes a quantitative explanatory approach, with data collection conducted through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving students, supervisors, and administrative staff. The results indicate that the "Matur" platform significantly enhances various aspects of final project management, including the guidance process, scheduling, and the efficient collection of final project documents. The analysis of the data reveals that the platform has increased the efficiency of managing final projects, resulting in streamlined workflows and reduced administrative burdens. Furthermore, the platform has been positively received by users, with a high level of satisfaction reported among students, supervisors, and staff. Overall, the "Matur" platform offers an innovative solution to improve academic services and enhance the overall quality of final project management within the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Nurul Jadid University, fostering a more organized and efficient academic environmen
Education Philosophical Dimensions of Artificial Intelligence in Islamic Religious and Legal Education
Kecerdasan Buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI) kini menjadi elemen penting dalam pendidikan modern, termasuk dalam studi Islam dan pendidikan hukum. Meskipun AI menawarkan efisiensi dan akses informasi yang luas, penggunaannya yang cepat memerlukan refleksi filosofis agar tidak menggeser nilai dasar pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan atau yuridis normatif yang dipadukan dengan pendekatan komparatif dan analisis kualitatif untuk menelaah perubahan yang ditimbulkan AI terhadap proses pembelajaran. Secara ontologis, ketergantungan pada AI mengubah pola interaksi belajar dari hubungan langsung antarpendidik dan peserta didik menjadi proses yang lebih dimediasi teknologi. Dari sisi epistemologis, tantangan utama ialah menjaga keaslian produksi dan penyampaian pengetahuan ketika alat AI dapat memengaruhi cara berpikir yang sebelumnya dibangun melalui upaya manusia. Secara aksiologis, pemanfaatan AI harus berada dalam batas etika, moral, dan integritas akademik agar tidak mengurangi nilai-nilai dasar pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kebijakan pendidikan Agma Islam yang seimbang antara penggunaan AI dan penguatan kompetensi manusia. Rekomendasi utama mencakup penyusunan pedoman literasi AI yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan pendidikan Agama Islam dan hukum, serta pengembangan sistem evaluasi yang menekankan orisinalitas dan proses. Dengan demikian, AI dapat berfungsi sebagai alat pendukung tanpa menghilangkan nilai kemanusiaan dalam pendidikan
Progresivitas Hukum Islam dalam Fikih Perlindungan Anak Perspektif Muhammadiyah
The high incidence of violence and violations of children’s rights in Indonesia indicates the need to strengthen child protection through a legal approach that is responsive and oriented toward public welfare (maslaḥah). This article aims to analyze the progressiveness of Islamic law in Fikih Perlindungan Anak from the Muhammadiyah perspective, with a focus on the construction of institutional ijtihād by the Majelis Tarjih and Tajdid and the underlying principles of progressive Islamic law. This study employs a qualitative library research design, using a normative-analytical approach and content analysis of the Fikih Perlindungan Anak text and relevant supporting literature. The findings demonstrate that Muhammadiyah’s Fikih Perlindungan Anak represents a progressive formulation of Islamic law through a dynamic and contextual ijtihād paradigm oriented toward maqāṣid al-sharī‘ah. Such progressiveness is reflected in the fiqh’s responses to contemporary child protection issues—including abortion, stunting, children’s civil rights, children in conflict with the law, child marriage, trafficking, and sexual violence—through an integrative dialogue between Islamic normative sources and Indonesia’s positive law. Accordingly, this fiqh constitutes an important contribution to the development of contemporary Islamic law that is humanistic, justice-oriented, and committed to the protection of vulnerable groups
Truth-Seeking Behavior of Prospective Mathematics Teachers in Solving Islamic-Integrated Problems with Contradictory Information (PWCI): A Mathematical Resilience Perspective
This study aims to describe the truth-seeking behavior of prospective mathematics teachers through the lens of mathematical resilience. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects were prospective mathematics teachers at an Islamic university in Malang, Indonesia, which selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected using questionnaires, tests, and in-depth interviews. The data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that subjects with high mathematical resilience were able to meet all indicators of truth-seeking, as reflected in their comprehensive mastery of relevant information and their ability to solve problems systematically, even when confronted with contradictory information. Subjects with moderate resilience could only fulfill some indicators, indicating challenges in dealing with complex information. Meanwhile, subjects with low resilience demonstrated success in only a few indicators, highlighting significant difficulties in understanding and analyzing contradictory information. These notable differences emphasize the critical role of mathematical resilience in fostering truth-seeking abilities, particularly when integrating Islamic and mathematical perspectives
Development of KoMaCu Learning Media for Probability: An Innovative Digital Comic to Enhance Learning Effectiveness
This study aimed to develop and evaluate the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of KoMaCu (Funny Mathematics Comics) as a digital comic-based learning medium for probability topics among ninth-grade students at Imelda Private Junior High School, Medan. The study was motivated by students’ low motivation and achievement in mathematics due to predominantly conventional and monotonous instructional practices. KoMaCu was designed by integrating visual narratives with the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to promote contextual and meaningful learning. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology using the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The participants consisted of 18 ninth-grade students. The validation results indicated that KoMaCu achieved a highly valid category in terms of content, language, and media design. Practicality testing yielded a feasibility score of 66%, indicating positive student responses. Furthermore, students’ learning outcomes improved substantially, with the mean score increasing from 13.3 in the pre-test to 40.5 in the post-test. These findings demonstrate that KoMaCu is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing students’ understanding and motivation in learning probability, thereby contributing to the development of innovative digital learning media in mathematics education
Edukasi Perencanaan Keuangan dan Pengelolaan Utang untuk Komunitas Perempuan Rentan
This community service aimed to enhance financial literacy by focusing on financial planning and debt management for vulnerable women in Sumurejo Village, Gunungpati District, Semarang City. The activity was conducted on August 13, 2025, through interactive lectures, group discussions, and case-based practices with 30 women participants identified as having limited financial access and being vulnerable to debt traps. The program emphasized practical strategies in budgeting, savings, and responsible debt use. Evaluation using pre-test and post-test revealed a significant improvement: participants’ ability to prepare a simple household budget increased from 30% to 85%, and their understanding of the difference between productive and consumptive debt rose from 25% to 85%. These results indicate that the training not only increased financial awareness but also provided practical skills applicable in daily life. This activity is expected to contribute to women’s economic empowerment and strengthen sustainable household financial resilience.Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi keuangan dengan fokus pada perencanaan keuangan dan pengelolaan utang bagi perempuan rentan di Desa Sumurejo, Kecamatan Gunungpati, Kota Semarang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada 13 Agustus 2025 melalui ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok, dan praktik berbasis kasus dengan melibatkan 30 peserta perempuan yang memiliki keterbatasan akses keuangan serta rentan terhadap jeratan utang. Program menekankan strategi praktis dalam penyusunan anggaran, menabung, dan penggunaan utang secara bijak. Evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan: kemampuan menyusun anggaran rumah tangga sederhana meningkat dari 30% menjadi 85%, sedangkan pemahaman tentang perbedaan utang produktif dan konsumtif naik dari 25% menjadi 85%. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa kegiatan tidak hanya meningkatkan kesadaran keuangan, tetapi juga membekali keterampilan praktis yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan ini diharapkan berkontribusi pada pemberdayaan ekonomi perempuan dan memperkuat ketahanan keuangan rumah tangga secara berkelanjutan
MITIGATE THE IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA MISUSE ON JUNIOR SCHOOL TEENAGERS THROUGH SMART, WISE EDUCATION IN SOCIAL MEDIA
This community service program is carried out to mitigate the negative impacts of excessive social media activity on high school students. The aim is to improve the digital literacy of MTs Amaliyah Sunggal students. This program focuses on preventing the negative impacts of social media, such as cyberbullying and addiction, as well as teaching how to maintain privacy, avoid hoaxes, and maintain mental health. By involving students of the Medan State Polytechnic as facilitators, this activity offers educational seminars and training on digital literacy, provides time for using social media, and the importance of direct social interaction. A supervising lecturer supports the activity and produces scientific publications and educational videos. Through interviews with schools and knowledge transfer in academic seminars, this program provides educational solutions for the wise and safe use of social media. This activity costs IDR 618,000.00 (Six Hundred and Eighteen Thousand Rupiah). The activity results show decreased social media cases among students through interactive learning about internet ethics, risks, and impacts. In addition, students have a better understanding of the positive and negative impacts of social media. This program is expected to be sustainable through collaboration with various campuses in building digital literacy and intelligent and safe social media culture
PREVENTION AND HANDLING OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE (PPKS) ON ISLAMIC ADOLESCENTS IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS THROUGH EDUCATION AND SOCIALIZATION
This Program, Community Services to Educates About PPKS (Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence) on Muslim Teenagers at Al-Washliyah Private Middle School, Kampung Lalang Village, Medan Sunggal District, Medan City, North Sumatra Aims to provide an understanding of the meaning of sexual violence, types of sexual violence, the impact of sexual violence, how to prevent sexual violence and provide an experience related to the PPKS (Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence) Officer Unit. For the activities to run smoothly PKM, the service team conducted data collection techniques using interviews with Al-Washliyah Middle School. The solution provided is to transfer knowledge to students through the Education Seminar on PPKS (Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence). The cost of implementing PKM activities is Rp. 421,000.00 (Four Hundred and Twenty One Thousand Rupiah). After implementing community service activities in the form of training and seminars for students, the results of the service were obtained that A lack of understanding of literacy about PPKS (Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence) Students can be resolved through training activities so that there is an understanding of the definition of sexual violence, forms of verbal sexual violence, prevention of sexual violence, PPKS task force, sexual violence on social media and how to act if experiencing harassment. The unavailability of a division to handle PPKS (Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence) has been overcome by proposing the formation of a unique team and training for teachers at Al-Washliyah Private Middle School. The school has responded to this well with a plan to form an exceptional team, and the PKM team also suggested tightening the rules that apply in schools and providing rewards/punishments
