The Influence of School Principals' Digital Leadership and Teacher Self-Efficacy on Teacher Technology Use
The purpose of the study was to see how the effect of digital leadership and teacher self-efficacy on teacher technology use. The study used a quantitative approach. The study began in March-May 2024. This study used a simple random sampling technique. The sample of this study was 169 teachers. The study was conducted in high schools in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta. Data analysis used simple linear regression and multiple linear regression. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and documentation. The results of the study were that digital leadership had an impact on teacher technology use by an R2 value of 0.046, teacher self-efficacy influenced teacher technology use by an R2 value of 0.030, and together digital leadership and teacher self-efficacy influenced teacher technology use by an R2 value of 0.118. . Future researchers can conduct research by considering other variables that can influence technology use
The Students' Mathematical Literacy in Solving HOTS Problems: Does Learning Style Make a Difference?
Differences in students' learning styles, whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic, affect the way of students in absorbing, processing, and understanding the mathematical information provided. This statement indicates that differences in learning styles also affect students' mastery of mathematical literacy and students' skills in solving problems involving higher-order thinking skills. So, this study aims to describe students' mathematical literacy skills in solving higher-order thinking skills (HOTS)-oriented problems in terms of students' learning styles. The research used descriptive qualitative research that is involving 6 eighth-grade students at a junior high school in Blora, Central Java, Indonesia, as research subjects selected using simple random sampling techniques. The instruments used were a learning style questionnaire to identify students' learning styles, HOTS-oriented equation of a straight line problems to reveal students' mathematical literacy, and interviews to confirm the answers given by students in the test. Data were analyzed using an interactive model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification, accompanied by triangulation techniques to ensure the validity of the data. The results showed that students with a visual learning style were more dominant in mastering communication skills and the ability to use language and symbolic, formal, and technical operations. In contrast, students with auditory learning styles are only dominant in mastering communication skills. While students with kinesthetic learning styles are more dominant in mastering language use skills and symbolic, formal, and technical operations
Kecemasan Narapidana Kasus Pembunuhan pada Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas I Semarang
Abstrak. Kecemasan merupakan hal yang normal terjadi dalam kehidupan manusia. Pada kadar yang rendah, kecemasan dapat membantu seseorang untuk waspada dan bersiap untuk menghadapi bahaya. Namun, jika kadarnya berlebihan kecemasan dapat menimbulkan ketidaknyamanan dan mengganggu kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gambaran kecemasan yang dialami oleh narapidana sekaligus melihat upaya apa yang telah dilakukan Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas I Semarang untuk menangani kasus kecemasan tersebut. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus, dengan subyek penelitian berjumlah tiga orang narapidana yang melakukan tindak pidana pembunuhan. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kemudian penelitian ini memanfaatkan model Miles dan Huberman untuk menganalisis data yang telah didapatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketiga subyek penelitian mengalami kecemasan yang termasuk kedalam kategori sedang cenderung berat. Beberapa indikasi kecemasan muncul pada subyek penelitian, yaitu: 1) keringat berlebih, 2) gelisah, gugup dan resah. 3) insomnia dan mimpi buruk, 4) perilaku menghindar, 5) mudah marah dan sedih, 6) merasa terancam dengan seseorang, situasi atau peristiwa yang sebenarnya tidak mengamcam, 7) berpikir tentang hal menggangu yang sama berulang-ulang, dan 8) sulit memusatkan pikiran. Kecemasan yang mereka alami tidak hanya menghambat aktivitas keseharian mereka, tapi juga dapat menurunkan kualitas kesehatan mereka baik secara fisik maupun psikis
The Role of Counselors in Spiritual Counseling to Reduce Bullying Trauma among Students in Islamic Higher Education Institutions
This study aims to examine the role of counselors in providing spiritual counseling services to reduce bullying trauma among students in Islamic higher education institutions. The research design employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. The participants are lecturers from the Islamic Education Guidance and Counseling Department at State Islamic Higher Education Institutions. Data collection instruments include a questionnaire measuring lecturers' readiness and understanding in implementing spiritual counseling. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The findings indicate that the majority of lecturers feel prepared to provide spiritual counseling services, as reflected in their experience, knowledge, and confidence in integrating Islamic values into the counseling process. However, there is a subset of lecturers who are not fully prepared, highlighting the need for ongoing professional training and support. Despite a high interest in spiritual counseling, its implementation in practice, particularly in addressing bullying cases, remains suboptimal. These findings suggest a gap between interest and practice, emphasizing the importance of developing relevant and practical spiritual counseling models. Overall, the results reinforce the argument that Islam-based spiritual counseling, which incorporates values such as patience, sincerity, reliance on God, and self-purification, can be an effective approach to mitigating the psychological impacts of bullyin
The Implications of the Bai’at of the Sammaniyah Tarekat on the Competence of Educators, in Jambi, Indonesia
This study aims to explore the process of Bai’at of educators in the Sammaniyah Tariqah and its implications for changes in educator competence in Jambi Province, Indonesia. This study used a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. The research participants consisted of four educators who had participated in the Bai’at process of Sammaniyah Tariqah. Data were collected through semi-structured and unstructured interviews. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic analysis approach that refers to Braun and Clarke's theory through six steps: data coding, theme identification, review, theme naming, and reporting. The results show that the Bai’at process involves two main stages: first, the process of commitment or agreement made by the educator to carry out his duties and responsibilities with full seriousness, covering aspects of ethics, morals, and dzikr practice according to the stages set by the murshid. Second, the implication of this Bai’at is an increase in confidence and deep knowledge in education. The recommendation from this study is the need for continuous training for educators to maximize the benefits of Bai’at in educational practice
Strategi Promosi Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru di Lingkungan Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri
Strategi promosi merupakan serangkaian rencana atau tindakan yang dilakukan untuk mempengaruhi konsumen dengan mengenalkan sebuah produk agar konsumen tertarik untuk melakukan pembelian. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian fenomenologi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap bagaimana strategi promosi penerimaan mahasiswa baru di lingkungan kampus IAIN Kerinci Provinsi Jambi, Tahun Akademik 2023-2024. Adapun informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari empat orang yaitu Kepala Bagian Umum Akademik Kemahasiswaan dan Kerjasama dan tiga orang staf. Teknik pemilihan informan menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan anatara lain: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data melalui uji kredibilitas, dependabilitas, serta konfirmabilitas. Hasil penelitian ini adalah untuk strategi promosi yang dilakukan yaitu melalui media sosial, website, kelender, spanduk dan sosialisasi langsung ke sekolah dengan melibatkan mahasisawa. Dalam strategi promosi ada beberapa cara yang digunakan yaitu seperti membuat brosur yang menjelaskan informasi mengenai kapan pendaftaran dibuka serta memanfaatkan website kampus. Untuk jalur pendaftaran di IAIN Kerinci terdiri dari tiga jalur yaitu; (1) SPAN PTKIN adalah jalur prestasi masuk ke UIN/IAIN/STAIN yang ada di Indonesia salah satunya IAIN Kerinci; (2) UM PTKIN adalah jalur tes masuk ke UIN/IAIN/STAIN yang ada di Indonesia salah satunya IAIN Kerinci; (3) Jalur mandiri adalah kesempatan terakhir untuk bisa masuk ke IAIN Kerinci.
Implementasi Kesetaraan Gender dalam Penempatan Jabatan Kepengurusan di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda Cikandri Pangandaran
Kesetaraan gender menjadi topik utama dalam pendidikan khususnya di pondok pesantren. Pada implementasinya Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda Cikandri Pangandaran berusaha untuk menerapkan konsep kesetaraan gender ini dalam struktur kepengurusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji lebih dalam mengenai implementasi kesetaraan gender dalam penempatan jabatan kepengurusan di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda Cikandri Pangandaran. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Metode pengumpulan datanya melalui tiga teknik utama, yakni observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa konsep kesetaraan gender di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Huda Cikandri Pangandaran telah menerapkan dan mengimplementasikannya dengan baik melalui pembagian jabatan kepengurusan secara seimbang antara pengurus santri dan santriyah. Hal ini menunjukkan tidak adanya diskriminasi terhadap perempuan, sehingga perempuan bisa ikut andil dalam kontribusi serta tanggung jawab di pondok pesantren. Adapun tujuannya adalah ketika suatu masyarakat menghadapi permasalahan, penyelesaiannya dapat dilakukan melalui musyawarah bersama, baik laki-laki maupun perempuan memiliki peran aktif dalam proses pengambilan keputusan karena kepribadiannya telah dilatih sejak dini
PELATIHAN PRAKTIKUM SAINS BAGI GURU DAN SISWA DI SEKOLAH DASAR NO. 038/IX KOTO LOLO
Science learning in Elementary Schools (SD) emphasizes the process through practical activities. Still, the SD 038/IX Koto Lolo teachers do not yet involve science practicums in their learning methods. Partners face several obstacles, such as teachers' lack of knowledge regarding the importance of implementing practicums, unfamiliar with using practicum tools and materials, and not understanding the procedures for implementing science practicums in elementary schools. To overcome this problem, service activities are carried out through comprehensive training, which begins with an understanding of the urgency of science practicum in elementary school, a demonstration of several examples of elementary school science practicum, and direct practice according to the instructions that have been explained. As a result, training participants gained four things, namely: a) Knowledge, where they gained new knowledge about implementing elementary science practicum; b) Ability (Skill), participants appear to have the skills to carry out elementary science practicum activities; c) Behavior (Attitude), from the practicum carried out, a scientific attitude is formed from the participants; d) Product, elementary school teachers produce science practicum guides in the form of simple modules that can be applied in elementary schools.Pembelajaran sains di Sekolah Dasar (SD) ditekankan pada proses melalui kegiatan praktikum, namun para guru di SD 038/IX Koto Lolo belum melibatkan praktikum sains dalam metode pembelajaran mereka. Mitra menghadapi beberapa kendala, seperti kurangnya pengetahuan guru mengenai kepentingan pelaksanaan praktikum, tidak familiar dengan penggunaan alat dan bahan praktikum, serta ketidakpahaman terhadap prosedur pelaksanaan praktikum IPA di SD. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui pelatihan komprehensif yang dimulai dengan pemahaman mengenai urgensi praktikum sains di SD, demonstrasi beberapa contoh praktikum sains SD, hingga praktek langsung sesuai dengan petunjuk yang telah dijelaskan. Hasilnya, peserta pelatihan memperoleh empat hal, yakni: a) Pengetahuan (Knowledge), dimana mereka mendapatkan pengetahuan baru tentang pelaksanaan praktikum sains SD; b) Kemampuan (Skill), peserta terlihat telah memiliki keterampilan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum sains SD; c) Perilaku (Attitude), dari praktikum yang dilakukan, terbentuk sikap ilmiah dari peserta; d) Produk (Product), guru-guru SD menghasilkan panduan praktikum sains berupa modul sederhana yang dapat diterapkan di SD
PELATIHAN SOAL HOTS (HIGHER ORDER THINGKING SKILL) BERBASIS KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS BAGI GURU MATEMATIKA KOTA SUNGAI PENUH
Training on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) based on critical thinking skills for mathematics teachers in Sungai Penuh City is an important effort to enhance the quality of mathematics education in the region. This training aims to equip teachers with skills in designing and presenting HOTS questions that effectively develop students' critical thinking abilities. Through interactive and participatory learning approaches, this training helps teachers understand the importance of developing critical thinking skills in mathematics education. By focusing on implementing active learning strategies and utilizing technology in teaching, this training provides practical guidance for teachers to enhance their skills in designing challenging and relevant learning experiences. The results of this training show a significant improvement in the abilities of both teachers and students to design, implement, and evaluate HOTS questions, as well as enhance students' academic achievements in mathematics. Therefore, HOTS-based training on critical thinking skills is a crucial step in improving the quality of mathematics education in Sungai Penuh City.Pelatihan soal HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) berbasis kemampuan berpikir kritis bagi guru matematika di Kota Sungai Penuh adalah upaya yang penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di daerah tersebut. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membekali guru-guru dengan keterampilan dalam merancang dan menyajikan soal-soal HOTS yang membangun kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa secara efektif. Melalui pendekatan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan partisipatif, pelatihan ini membantu guru untuk memahami pentingnya pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dengan fokus pada penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif dan penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, pelatihan ini memberikan panduan praktis bagi guru dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mereka dalam merancang pembelajaran yang menantang dan relevan. Hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan guru dan siswa dalam merancang, menerapkan, dan mengevaluasi soal HOTS serta meningkatkan pencapaian akademik siswa dalam matematika. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan soal HOTS berbasis kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan langkah yang penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan matematika di Kota Sungai Penuh
Strengthening Creative Character of Students in Cumo Pulai Art Studio
This study explores the contribution of extracurricular art activities in strengthening students’ creative character through the Cumo Pulai Art Studio at SMAN 4 Sungai Penuh, Jambi, Indonesia. Character education is a central mission of national education, emphasizing not only academic excellence but also moral, social, and creative capacities needed in the 21st century. Creativity, defined as originality, flexibility, elaboration, and problem-solving ability, is an essential competence; however, preliminary observations indicated that students in the art studio often lacked initiative, showed low motivation, and produced limited original works. This study aimed to examine the processes of strengthening creative character, the outcomes achieved, and the factors that support or hinder the implementation of the program. Employing a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews with students, teachers, and studio coaches, and document analysis. Participants were selected purposively from students actively engaged in the art studio. Data were analysed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the Cumo Pulai Art Studio created a conducive learning environment where students enhanced originality through choreography and music composition, improved collaboration through group performance, and developed discipline and responsibility by following structured rehearsals. The program also fostered cultural preservation by encouraging students to value and reinterpret local traditions in creative ways. Despite these benefits, challenges such as limited facilities, lack of skilled instructors, and inconsistent student attendance were identified. The study concludes that extracurricular art education can significantly strengthen creative character and cultural appreciation, suggesting that integrating such programs into schools offers an effective strategy for holistic student development
