Pandangan Hakim tentang Pengasuhan Bersama dalam Hadhanah Pasca Perceraian
This study examines the views of judges at the Religious Court of Medan regarding the concept of shared parenting after divorce. The issue arises because a sole custody pattern often leads one parent to evade responsibility, thereby disadvantaging the child. The objective of this research is to determine whether shared parenting can serve as a more appropriate alternative in ensuring the best interests of the child. The study employs a normative–empirical method with approaches drawn from sociology of law, legal psychology, and legal studies. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with judges of the Religious Court of Medan, while secondary data were derived from statutory regulations, the Compilation of Islamic Law, court decisions, and relevant legal literature. Data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that judges generally consider shared parenting to be consistent with the principles of justice and the best interests of the child, as it allows the involvement of both parents. However, its implementation remains limited due to the absence of explicit normative regulation, resulting in reliance on judicial discretion or the agreement of the parties. In conclusion, shared parenting has gained substantive acceptance among judges and holds potential for further development within Islamic family law in Indonesia, supported by regulatory frameworks or technical guidelines
Epistemologi Tauhidik-Integratif sebagai Kritik terhadap Sains Modern: Analisis Pemikiran Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas dan Seyyed Hossein Nasr
This article examines the Islamization of science as an epistemological response to the crisis of modern science characterized by the secularization of knowledge, fragmentation of disciplines, and the separation between facts, values, and transcendental meaning. The analysis focuses on the thought of Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and Seyyed Hossein Nasr as two leading Muslim intellectuals who offer fundamental critiques of the modern scientific paradigm from the perspective of Islamic epistemology. Rather than merely comparing their ideas, this study aims to formulate a conceptual synthesis that advances the theoretical discourse on the Islamization of science. Employing a qualitative approach with an epistemological–comparative analysis of the primary works of al-Attas and Nasr, the study is complemented by literature from the philosophy of science and contemporary debates on the crisis of knowledge. The findings reveal that al-Attas emphasizes the purification of the concept of knowledge and the formation of an Islamic worldview grounded in adab, while Nasr underscores the necessity of resacralizing science through metaphysical and cosmological awareness. Based on these analyses, the article proposes a tauhidic–integrative epistemology as its main theoretical contribution, positioning tawḥīd as the unifying principle of revelation, reason, and empirical experience in the development of knowledge. This study argues that the Islamization of science should be understood as a constructive epistemological project with continued relevance for global discussions on science, ethics, and civilizational sustainability

Exploring Mathematical Concepts in Pèsapèyan Ling-Giling: A Traditional Game as Miniature of Bull Racing in Madura Island
Pèsapèyan ling-giling was one of the iconic local wisdom of Madura. This game was a miniature version of the bull race. In this game, wheels replaced the bull as the driving force. As a result, this game was suitable for players of all ages. This research aimed to explore mathematical concepts in the pèsapèyan ling-giling game. This research used a qualitative approach with an ethnographic research type. Researchers used taxonomic analysis to examine the internal structure of mathematical concepts within the stages of the pèsapèyan ling-giling game. The study showed that the pèsapèyan ling-giling game contained mathematical concepts in the stage of tool-making, game rules, gameplay, and playing field. The mathematical concepts found in pèsapèyan ling-giling were numbers (e.g. the concepts of order, ranking, estimation, and optimization), measurement (e.g. the concept of length, area, speed, and distance, geometry (e.g. the concepts of lines, rectangles, circles, blocks, symmetry, coordinates, and position), discrete mathematics (e.g. the concept of graphs, relations and functions, and combinatorics) proportion, and probability. Thus, the traditional game of pèsapèyan ling-giling could be a learning medium for these mathematical concepts at elementary and secondary schools
Strategies, Successes, and Gaps in Algebra Teaching: A Scoping Review
Algebra is a fundamental component of mathematics education that supports students’ success in higher-level mathematical learning. However, many students struggle to understand algebraic concepts due to their abstract nature and the limited use of effective instructional strategies. This scoping review aims to (1) identify how algebra teaching activities are represented in the literature, (2) explore the main instructional themes and approaches discussed, and (3) examine existing research gaps that require further study. A total of 143 studies published between 2015 and 2025 were retrieved from the Scopus database, and after a rigorous screening process, six studies met the inclusion criteria for full analysis. The review identified five dominant instructional themes: contextual problem-based learning, visual and concrete representations, technology-enhanced and game-based learning, collaborative discussions, and reflective reasoning. These approaches were found to enhance students’ engagement, conceptual understanding, and algebraic reasoning. Nevertheless, significant gaps remain in early algebra instruction, teacher professional development, and the integration of emerging technologies in classroom practice. The findings underscore the need for innovative, inclusive, and technology-integrated teaching strategies to strengthen students’ algebraic thinking and improve the quality of mathematics education

Dimensi Tasawuf Buya Hamka: Perspektif Ontologi, Epistemologi, Aksiologi Serta Implikasinya Dalam Bimbingan Dan Konseling
This study aims to analyze Buya Hamka’s concept of modern Sufism through the philosophical dimensions of ontology, epistemology, and axiology, as well as to explain its relevance for the development of Guidance and Counseling services. The research employed a systematic literature review by examining a range of scholarly sources related to Hamka’s Sufi thought. The findings indicate that ontologically, Hamka’s Sufism is grounded in the principle of tawhid, emphasizing spiritual and moral balance while rejecting metaphysical speculation considered inconsistent with Islamic teachings; epistemologically, it integrates revelation, reason, and spiritual experience through a bayani and burhani approach that remains rational while accommodating the transformative process of tazkiyah through the stages of takhalli, tahalli, and tajalli; and axiologically, it positions Sufism as practical ethics that encourage diligent work, social contribution, and the development of virtuous character. In conclusion, the integration of Hamka’s modern Sufi values holds significant implications for Guidance and Counseling services, particularly in strengthening clients’ spiritual foundations, internalizing ethical virtues, and fostering a holistic counseling approach. Hamka’s modern Sufism is therefore highly relevant in addressing the spiritual crises of contemporary society while enriching the practice of Guidance and Counseling
