    Pemanfaatan Sampah Rumah Tangga untuk Pupuk Organik di Desa Sukalaksana: Utilization of Household Waste for Organic Fertilizer in Sukalaksana Village

    This study is part of a Community Service Program (PKM) aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of household waste composting into liquid organic fertilizer as a sustainable solution for waste management. Conducted in Sukalaksana Village, the program involved the community through education, training, and mentoring to enhance awareness and skills in managing organic waste. Data were collected through interviews and focused group discussions, as well as measurements of the volume of processed waste and the resulting liquid fertilizer. The findings indicate that composting significantly reduces waste volume and produces high-quality liquid organic fertilizer, although the program's success depends on community awareness and the availability of adequate infrastructure. The program concludes that household waste composting is an effective approach to supporting sustainable agriculture and environmental preservation, with recommendations to enhance community education and develop infrastructure to enable broader adoption of this practice

    In the era of globalization, national identity poses a unique challenge, particularly for Indonesian diaspora children living far from their homeland. The children at Sanggar Bimbingan Sungai Mulia 5 (SB SM 5) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, are mostly migrant children growing up in environments with minimal exposure to Indonesian culture. This condition risks weakening their emotional connection to national identity and the cultural heritage of Nusantara. This international community service program aims to enhance the national awareness of children aged 10–14 years at SB SM 5 by introducing the cultural heritage of Borobudur Temple as a symbol of national civilization and traditional Javanese games such as cublak-cublak suweng. The methods used include participatory approaches, edutainment, and experiential learning, designed to create an interactive and enjoyable learning experience. The children participated in activities such as visual presentations, storytelling, hands-on traditional games, and reflections on national values. The results demonstrated an increase in knowledge about Borobudur from 10% to 90% and a high level of enthusiasm for traditional games. The children not only gained an understanding of Indonesian culture but also felt a sense of pride and emotional closeness to their homeland. As a follow-up, plans include the development of digital modules, regular cultural classes, and collaboration with diaspora communities to ensure the sustainability of this program. This initiative successfully established an emotional connection between diaspora children and Indonesia's cultural identity, making it a model applicable to other diaspora communitie

    Sumber Rejeki Welding Workshop is one of the small and medium enterprises engaged in manufacturing and welding services in Malang City. In its production process, the workshop still relies on conventional welding methods that are less efficient and produce suboptimal weld quality. Therefore, this community service program aims to enhance production efficiency and quality by implementing Gas Tungsten Arc Welding technology and assisting in applying occupational health and safety standards. The implementation method of this program includes several stages: the preparation stage, which involves identifying partner needs and machine installation; the training stage, consisting of theoretical and practical sessions for operators; the production assistance stage; and the evaluation stage, using the Non-Destructive Testing method with penetrant testing techniques to assess weld quality. The results of this program implementation indicate a 30% improvement in production efficiency, with reduced processing time and fewer welding defects. Significant economic impacts are also evident through increased production capacity and the workshop's competitiveness in the local market. Furthermore, the provided training has enhanced the operators' skills in machine operation and raised their awareness of the importance of occupational safety standards. This program demonstrates that adopting modern welding technology can significantly improve productivity and product quality, making it a potential model for application in other small and medium enterprises to boost competitiveness in the manufacturing sector

    The group of culinary entrepreneurs who are members of Poklahsar Srikandi, located in Maron Village, Loano District, Purworejo Regency, have dry and wet food products made from processed catfish meat. However, they experience difficulties in selling products due to limited marketing strategies, especially online. Community Service (PKM) regarding training and assistance in creating marketplace accounts aims to increase knowledge and skills in using online sales accounts. The training methods used are lectures to deliver material, clinical discussions, and mentoring training. There were 35 participants, consisting of 15 men and 20 women. The result of this Community Service (PKM) activity is an increase in participants' knowledge about the marketplace and their utilization skills to increase product sales turnover. Another result is the formation of an independent marketplace sales account. The marketplace allows them to market these culinary products effectively and efficiently, without being limited by distance and time

    Kaldu merupakan produk olahan sebagai penyedap rasa, produk kaldu yang beredar dipasaran banyak terbuat dari olahan daging ayam atau daging sapi dalam bentuk kaldu bubuk dan kaldu blok. Adapun bahan lain yaitu ikan gabus dijadikan sebagai bahan utama pembuatan kaldu blok alami makanan. Kelebihan 100 gr ikan gabus mengandung 6,2% albumin dan 0,001741% Zn. Kaldu dapat juga dapat ditambahkan dengan bahan pangan lokal seperti jamur. Bubuk kaldu jamur merupakan salah satu produk olahan jamur. Pembuatan bubuk kaldu jamur umumnya dilakukan dengan metode spray drying. Salah satu jamur yang dapat dijadikan sebagai bubuk kaldu adalah jamur grigit. Zat – zat yang terkandung dalam jamur grigit adalah lemak, karbohidrat, enzim, vitamin, dan mineral, dengan adanya produk kaldu ini diharapkan dapat menambah lama daya simpan. Tujuan penelitian: Untuk mengetahui daya terima kaldu blok ikan gabus dengan penambahan tepung jamur grigit (ikabusja) sebagai alternatif penyedap rasa. Metode penelitian: Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian eksperimen yang berupa uji coba untuk mengetahui daya terima kaldu blok ikan gabus dengan penambahan tepung jamur grigit dengan menggunakan 4 perlakuan yaitu 10%, 20%, 30% dan 40%. Dilakukan di Dusun Asong, Desa Aur Sampuk, Kecamatan Sengah Temila Kabupaten Landak. Hasil penelitian: Berdasarkan uji tingkat kesukaan masyarakat yang dilakukan pada panelis hasil tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan 1 dengan konsentrasi 10% untuk kategori warna 48%, aroma 36%, rasa 48% dan tekstur 36%. Hasil analisis proksimat terhadap kaldu blok ikan gabus dengan penambahan tepung jamur grigit menunjukkan bahwa kadar abu pada kaldu blok yaitu sebesar 11,20%, energi dari lemak 33,39 kcal/100 g, lemak total 3,71%, kadar air 22,42%, energi total 284,07 kcal/100 g, karbohidrat 29,61% dan protein 33,06%

    Lansia memiliki resiko lebih tinggi terhadap penyakit terutama gangguan kesehatan hidup. Masalah psikososial pada lansia dapat berupa stress, ansietas (kecemasan) dan depresi. Terapi aktivitas seni telah diakui secara luas sebagai metode yang bermanfaat untuk mengurangi stres dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan emosional. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan lansia merasa khawatir dengan masalah yang tidak jelas, seperti merasa letih, lelah, sehingga cenderung mengalami stres dan mereka hanya tidur untuk menghindarinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi aktivitas kelompok Art Painting terhadap tingkat stres pada lansia di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Sinta Rangkang Palangka Raya. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Perceived Stress Scale-10 dengan uji statistik Wilcoxon. Sampel pada penelitian ini merupakan Lansia pada Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Sinta Rangkang Palangka Raya sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil analisis uji wilxocon didapatkan ρ value = 0,00 dengan tingkat singnifikan α = 0,05, sehingga H1 diterima yang artinya ada pengaruh terapi aktivitas kelompok Art Painting terhadap tingkat stres pada lansia di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Sinta Rangkang Palangka Raya.     Effect of Quercetin and Zinc Oxide Concentrations on pH and In Vitro Activity of Sunscreen Lipstick

    Quercetin, a naturally occurring flavonoid, exhibits significant antioxidant properties, making it a promising candidate for photoprotective applications. Concurrently, zinc oxide is a well-established physical blocker of ultraviolet A (UV-A) radiation. This study aimed to optimize the synergistic combination of quercetin (as an anti-UV-B agent) and zinc oxide (as an anti-UV-A agent) within a sunscreen lipstick formulation to enhance broad-spectrum photoprotection. A factorial design, implemented using Design Expert 13.0 software, was employed for the optimization. The independent variables were the concentrations of quercetin and zinc oxide, while the dependent responses included pH, Sun Protection Factor (SPF), percentage of Erythema Transmission (%TE), and percentage of Pigmentation Transmission (%TP). Statistical analysis evaluated the individual and interactive effects of the components on these responses. Both quercetin and zinc oxide individually demonstrated a positive influence on increasing the pH and SPF values of the formulations, while concurrently reducing both %TE and %TP values. Notably, a significant synergistic interaction between quercetin and zinc oxide was observed, further influencing the SPF, %TE, and %TP values. The optimized formula, derived from the overlay contour plot generated by the factorial design, comprised 2.5% quercetin and 15% zinc oxide. This optimal combination yielded a pH of 5.027, an SPF of 22.713, a %TE of 0.012, and a %TP of 0.004. The optimized combination of quercetin and zinc oxide in a sunscreen lipstick formulation effectively provided desirable pH values and substantial in vitro sunscreen efficacy. These findings suggest that this novel formulation holds significant potential as a broad-spectrum photoprotective cosmetic product

    Purple Yam (Dioscorea alata) Extract Increasing Dopamine Levels and Improving the Brain's Microscopic Features in Parkinson's Model Mice

    Parkinson's disease (PD) is a severe neurodegenerative disorder, that causes progressive motor issues from the loss of dopamine-producing neurons in the substantia nigra pars compacta (SNpc). Purple yam (Dioscorea alata), rich in anthocyanins, shows promise as a natural antioxidant and neuroprotectant. This study investigated the antiparkinsonian effects of D. alata extract on dopamine levels and brain microscopic features in a haloperidol-induced PD mouse model. Thirty-five male mice were randomly allocated into seven groups: normal (CMC-Na and aqua pro injection), haloperidol-induced negative control (CMC-Na), positive control (levodopa 39 mg/kgBW), curcumin (200 mg/kgBW), and D. alata extract-treated groups (100, 200, and 400 mg/kgBW). Treatments were administered daily for seven days. On day 8, all groups, except the normal control, received an intraperitoneal injection of haloperidol (2 mg/kgBW) to induce Parkinsonism. Three hours post-haloperidol injection, dopamine levels were measured from orbital vein blood. Subsequently, brains were harvested for histological examination of the SNpc using Toluidine blue staining. Data were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA followed by LSD post-hoc tests. The 400 mg/kgBW dose of D. alata extracts significantly increased dopamine levels (p<0.05) compared to the negative control group. Microscopic analysis of the SNpc in mice treated with 400 mg/kgBW extract revealed preserved, dark, and solid neuronal morphology, with significantly higher scoring results (p<0.05) when compared to the levodopa-treated group. These findings suggest that D. alata extract, particularly at a dose of 400 mg/kgBW, exhibits potential antiparkinsonian activity by elevating dopamine levels and mitigating dopaminergic neuronal damage in a haloperidol-induced PD mouse model

    Enrekang is a producer and contributor of diverse and abundant agricultural commodities, distributed both within and outside the region using various types of goods transportation modes. This research aims to determine the characteristics of commodities and the choice of goods transportation modes. The research method is descriptive quantitative and data is obtained from surveys and interviews with 150 respondents of freight transport drivers, data analysis uses the Analytical Hierarchy process (AHP). The results show that the characteristics of departure time are dominant during the day at 14.00 - 16.00 WITA, at night 20.00 - 22.00 WITA, while the arrival time at the distribution location during the day is dominant at 06.00 - 08.00 WITA, and at night 02.00 - 04.00 WITA. The distribution of commodities within South Sulawesi Province is dominant to Parepare City and outside the region to West Sulawesi. The choice of efficient goods transportation mode used in the process of distributing agricultural commodity results shows that the 3 axle truck mode has a priority weight of 0.43%

    Road infrastructure as a means of public transportation has an important role in opening up remote and isolated areas, the Oelamasi - Sulamu Road section is one of the road sections located in Oelamasi, Fatuleu District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Which was built in 2015 with a total length of 10 km and a width of 4.5 m and a penetration layer construction type (Lapen). From the results of the road pavement conditions seen visually in the field, the damage that occurred on the Oelamasi - Sulamu STA 0 + 000 - STA 2 + 000 Road section did not experience damage along the road, but the damage that occurred was only at certain points. This road section experienced damage such as holes, subsidence, patches, edge cracks, crocodile skin cracks, longitudinal cracks, wavy and aggregate wear. From the existing problems, it is necessary to repair additional pavement layers (overlay). This study uses the 1987 SKBI Component Analysis method.
