Peningkatan Kompetensi Instruktur Balai Latihan Kerja Kabupaten Karawang dalam Bidang Perawatan dan Perbaikan Lemari Pendingin Showcase: Increasing the Competence of Instructors at Karawang Regency Vocational Training Center in the Maintenance and Repair of Showcase Refrigerator
A showcase is a type of refrigerator widely found in small shops and supermarkets, and it maintains the freshness of vegetables, fruits, meat, and drinks. Because showcases are widely used, the potential for working as a technician or entrepreneur in showcase service is promising. This training aims to improve the competence of instructors at BLK Karawang in showcase maintenance and repair. Increased instructor competence impacts the quality of job seekers educated at BLK. The training was carried out in 3 working days, divided into two sessions: theory and practical. The practical material taught participants the proper refrigerant charging, troubleshooting, and repairs on showcases that experienced problems. After the training, the instructors will be evaluated on their ability to deliver the materials to job seekers under the supervision of lecturers from the Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering, Politeknik Negeri Bandung. Based on the evaluation, the instructors have correctly and adequately provided training materials on showcase maintenance and repair to job seekers
Analisis Faktor Risiko Kejadian Penyakit Diare di Wilayah Sungai Lulut Banjarmasin: Risk Factor Analysis of Diarrhea Disease Incidance in Sungai Lulut Banjarmasin Area
Diare merupakan keadaan buang air besar dalam keadaan abnormal dan lebih cair dari biasanya dan dalam jumlah tiga kali atau lebih dalam periode 24 jam. Prevalensi diare di wilayah sungai lulut pada tahun 2022 sebanyak 93 kasus dan pada januari hingga oktober 2023 ada 92 kasus diare. Adapun beberapa faktor risiko kejadian diare adalah faktor sosiodemografi, faktor perilaku, dan faktor lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membantu masyarakat Wilayah Sungai Lulut dalam mengetahui faktor risiko yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit diare. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan desain observasional analitik dengan rancangan Cross Sectional dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner. Adapun hasil penelitian yang didapatkan dari 75 responden di Wilayah Sungai Lulut Banjarmasin memiliki hubungan antara faktor risiko terhadap kejadian penyakit diare yaitu pendidikan dengan nilai p-value 0.034, kebiasaan cuci tangan dengan nilai p-value 0.022, dan kebiasaan jajan dengan nilai p-value 0.047. Sedangkan faktor risiko yang tidak memiliki hubungan yaitu jenis kelamin dengan nilai p-value 0.296, usia dengan nilai p-value 0.526, pekerjaan dengan nilai p-value 0.125, pembuangan tinja dengan nilai p-value 0,200, penyediaan air bersih dengan nilai p-value 0.085, dan pembuangan sampah dengan nilai p-value 0.269. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian faktor risiko yang berpengaruh terhadap kejadian penyakit diare adalah pendidikan, kebiasaan cuci tangan, dan kebiasaan jajan. Sedangkan yang tidak berpengaruh adalah jenis kelamin, usia, pekerjaan, pembuangan tinja, penyediaan air bersih, pembuangan sampah dalam kejadian penyakit diare di wilayah Sungai Lulut Banjarmasin
Aktivitas Antibakteri dari Bakteri Tanah Gambut Terhadap Salmonella typhi: Antibacterial activity of peat soil bacteria against Salmonella typhi
Demam tifoid merupakan penyakit demam akut yang disebabkan bakteri Salmonella Enterica khususnya turunannya Salmonella typhi. Demam tifoid menjadi penyebab angka modibilitas dan mortalitas pada banyak negara. Terapi yang digunakan pada demam tifoid adalah antibiotik kloramfenikol, akan tetapi saat ini banyak terjadi resistensi terhadap antibiotik. Tanah gambut merupakan tanah yang kaya akan bahan organik yang berasal dari tanaman yang membusuk kemudian terdekomposisi di dalam tanah. Potensi tanah gambut yang dapat dimanfaatkan misalnya senyawa metabolit sekunder yang memungkinkan memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bakteri tanah gambut yang berpotensi sebagai antibakteri dan menguji aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Salmonella typhi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental menggunakan tanah gambut yang diproses dengan cara isolasi bakteri kemudian dilanjutkan dengan skrining aktivitas antibakteri, uji konsentrasi hambat minimum dan konsentrasi bunuh minimum. Hasil penelitian terdapat 7 isolat bakteri tanah gambut yang berhasil diisolasi. Semua isolat tanah gambut termasuk jenis bakteri gram positif dan berbentuk batang. Supernatan bakteri tanah gambut memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Salmonella typhi dengan zona hambat 20, 91 mm dan 26,93 mm serta memiliki KHM pada konsentrasi 12,5% dan KBM 25% terhadap Salmonella typhi. Hasil statistik terdapat perbedaan bermakna dengan nilai p value 0,021 pada Kruskal-Wallis Test dan 0,025 pada Mann Rhitney Test
Penetapan Kadar Flavonoid Total Berdasarkan Tingkat Fraksinasi Ekstrak Daun Sirsak (Annona muricata L.): Determination Of Total Flavonoid Content Based On Soursop Leaf Extract Fractionation Level (Annona muricata L.)
Daun sirsak (Annona muricata L.) merupakan bagian tanaman yang sering digunakan masyarakat sebagai tanaman obat. Salah satu zat metabolit sekunder yang terkandung dalam daun sirsak adalah flavonoid. Flavonoid merupakan suatu senyawa yang berperan dalam meningkatkan antioksidan dan daya tahan tubuh. Perlu dilakukan pengecekan untuk mengetahui kandungan kadar flavonoid total ekstrak daun sirsak, salah satunya adalah dengan metode fraksinasi. Terdapat tingkatan fraksi kepolaran pelarut yaitu, polar, semi polar, dan non polar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur kadar flavonoid total daun sirsak pada fraksi aquadest, etil asetat, dan n-heksan. Metode pengecekan kadar flavonoid total ekstrak daun sirsak dengan menggunakan instrumen Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil dari kadar flavonoid total ekstrak daun sirsak pada fraksi aquadest sebanyak 9,819 QE/g (0,9819%), fraksi etil asetat sebanyak 4,760 QE/g (0,4760%), dan pada fraksi n-heksan sebanyak 6,028 QE/g (0,6028%) Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kadar flavonoid total ekstrak daun sirsak terbanyak terdapat pada fraksi aquadest, dilanjutkan dengan fraksi n-heksan dan yang terakhir adalah fraksi etil aseta
Analysis of Consumers Participation in Packaging Waste Management in Yogyakarta City: Analisis Partisipasi Konsumen dalam Pengelolaan Sampah Kemasan Di Kota Yogyakarta
E-commerce activities have shown significant growth, especially during the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19) pandemic, driving an increase in packaging waste generated by consumers from their online purchases. Similar to other cities, Yogyakarta City has waste management facilities at source, but the existence of this infrastructure has not significant reduced the amount of waste transported to the Piyungan landfill. This study aimed to predict consumer behavior and measure their willingness to participate in packaging waste management through the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) model. Data was collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 111 respondents in 14 subdistricts in Yogyakarta city which were then analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that knowledge, perceived behavioral control, and convenience had a significant effect, while subjective norms and attitudes had a insignificant effect on the willingness of consumers participation in packaging waste management
Geochemical Characteristics of Rocks in Coal Mines (Case Study of Coal Mining PT. ABC): Karakteristik Geokimia Batuan Pada Tambang Batubara (Studi Kasus Penambangan Batubara PT. ABC)
At the end of mining, an open pit coal mine will form a mine sump, also known as a “pit lake”. At PT ABC, the pit wall rock lithology consists of 30% potentially acidic rock and 70% non-acidic rock, with low pH sump water quality. The static test is intended to calculate the balance of acid-forming and acid-consuming components. The static test does not consider the rate of acid formation and neutralization. The objective is to determine the potential for acid formation to occur in the rock. The kinetic test aims to understand the kinetics of acid formation reactions in samples through a simulation of oxidation reactions in rocks. This test can predict long-term weathering characteristics as a function of time. Of the 4 rock samples tested statically, all samples showed PAF (Potencial Acid Forming) screening criteria. The results of the kinetic test showed that sample S1 experienced an increase in pH to 4,43, sample S2 experienced a decrease in pH to 8,03, sample S3 experienced an increase in pH to 2,44, and sample S4 experienced an increase to 7,24
Analisis Potensi Likuefaksi di Area Utara Semarang dengan Data N-SPT: Liquefaction Potential Analysis in North Semarang Using SPT Data
Semarang is the capital of Central Java Province located on the northern side of Java Island, directly adjacent to the Java Sea. Morphologically, Semarang is divided into two parts: upper Semarang and lower Semarang. Upper Semarang has a relatively steeper slope profile, while lower Semarang has a flatter topography. In terms of geology, upper Semarang has a rock composition in the form of volcano breccia and sandstone of Quaternary age, while in the northern part the contours tend to be flatter and the rocks are composed of breccia covered by thick alluvial. Semarang is also surrounded by three active faults (Semarang Fault, Kendeng Fault, and Lasem Fault). An earthquake with a scale of M 5.6 occurred in Semarang in 1856, allegedly due to the activity of the three faults. Based on the data of the largest earthquake that ever occurred and the N-SPT and Bore Log taken at the research site, the potential for liquefaction in the area was found to be up to 20 m deep. Low potential for liquefaction is found at depths of 8 to 18 m, while for depths of 18 to 20 m the potential is very low. High potential is found at depths up to 8 m. Of the 8 meters with high potential for liquefaction, the saturated silty sand layer at a depth of 6 to 8 m is the segment with the highest potential for liquefaction
Analisis Kemampuan Pasir Dari Pantai Nirwana Kota Padang Dan Pasir Dari Pantai Kawasan Mandeh Pesisir Selatan Sebagai Pengganti Pasir Ottawa Dalam Pengujian Sandcone: Analysis Of The Capability Of Sand From Nirwana Beach At Padang City And Sand From Mandeh Beach At Pesisir Selatan As Subtitutes For Ottawa Sand In Sandcone Testing
Ottawa sand has long been used as a standard material in geotechnical laboratory tests, particularly in grain size distribution and Sand Cone tests, due to its uniform particle size, purity, and stable physical properties. This study explores the potential of using beach sand from Nirwana and Mandeh as substitutes for Ottawa sand. The research process began with problem identification, followed by a literature review, sample collection, laboratory testing, and data analysis. The results show that the specific gravity of Nirwana sand (2.77) and Mandeh sand (2.72) are relatively close to Ottawa sand (±2.65). In terms of the coefficient of uniformity (Cu), Nirwana sand (2.34) is closer to Ottawa sand (2.17) compared to Mandeh sand (2.94). Regarding the coefficient of curvature (Cc), Nirwana sand (0.72) performs better than Mandeh sand (0.66), although both remain below the ideal range (1–3). Overall, Nirwana sand demonstrates greater potential as an alternative to Ottawa sand, with improvements in gradation recommended to achieve optimal performance
Peningkatan Keterampilan Kolaborasi Siswa Melalui Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Permainan Ular Tangga Bangun Datar
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya kemampuan kolaborasi siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Panarung yang cenderung pasif dalam diskusi kelompok dan lebih memilih bekerja secara individual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi siswa melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan media permainan ular tangga dalam pembelajaran matematika materi bangun datar. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan McTaggart. Subjek penelitian adalah 15 siswa kelas IV SDN 2 Panarung pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan tes, kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan kolaborasi siswa dari pra-siklus ke siklus I dan II. Pada pra-siklus, rata-rata keterampilan kolaborasi siswa sebesar 40,42% (kurang). Setelah dilakukan tindakan, rata-rata meningkat menjadi 60% (cukup) pada siklus I dan mencapai kategori sangat baik pada siklus II, yaitu 82,92% (sangat baik). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL berbantuan permainan ular tangga efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kolaborasi siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika
Integrating the Huma Betang Philosophy into Progressive Islamic Education in Elementary Schools: A Study on Curriculum Development
This study examines integrating the Huma Betang philosophy a way of life rooted in the Dayak community of Central Borneo into the curriculum of progressive Islamic education. The core values of Huma Betang, such as solidarity, collaboration, tolerance, and respect for diversity, align closely with the principles of Islamic education, which emphasize character formation and moral development. This research is motivated by the need to respond to the challenges faced by modern Islamic education, including those related to globalization, pluralism, and technological advancement. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, using a literature review approach through thematic analysis of relevant sources. The findings reveal that integrating Huma Betang values can enhance students' character development, increase social awareness, and foster an inclusive and contextual Islamic identity. Moreover, a curriculum incorporating local values has proven to be more relevant to the socio-cultural realities of the community, thereby improving the effectiveness of education. However, several challenges were identified, such as educators' low awareness of the importance of local wisdom, limited teacher training, and the rigidity of national curriculum regulations. This study recommends strategies such as local value-based teacher training, developing contextual pedagogy, and formulating a flexible curriculum that adapts to local culture. In conclusion, integrating the Huma Betang philosophy into Islamic education in elementary schools enriches the curriculum substantively and significantly contributes to producing graduates who are ethical, socially responsible, and ready to face global challenges without losing their cultural and spiritual roots
