Pelatihan Penggunaan LMS untuk Peningkatan Kualitas Layanan Perkuliahan di Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi, Universitas Respati Yogyakarta: Training on Using LMS to Improve the Quality of Lecture Services at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Respati Yogyakarta
Training on the Use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) is essential for enhancing the quality of academic services in an era of increasingly adopting technology. The integration of LMS with conventional methods, known as blended learning, which combines distance learning, regular classes, and LMS, results in a more effective and efficient learning process. With the shift towards digital learning, LMS use becomes crucial for improving the efficiency, accessibility, and quality of academic services. Through e-learning, students not only listen to lectures but also actively observe, perform, demonstrate, and more. Teaching materials can be virtualized in various formats to create more engaging and dynamic content, motivating students to delve deeper into the learning process. This training aims to equip educators and administrative staff with knowledge of LMS features and potential, enabling them to maximize its use for content delivery, facilitating teacher-student interaction, and enhancing course management and evaluation. The training methods include presentations on basic LMS concepts, demonstrations of key features, and hands-on practice sessions that allow participants to actively engage in the learning process. Additionally, interaction between participants and facilitators is enhanced through discussions and Q&A sessions, ensuring deep understanding and practical skills in LMS usage to improve academic service quality. Consequently, this training is expected to provide a solid foundation for educational institutions to meet challenges and leverage the opportunities offered by the digital era in providing quality academic services

Penerapan Pompa Air Tenaga Surya untuk Irigasi Sawah di Desa Pruwatan, Kabupaten Brebes, Jawa Tengah: Implementation of Solar Water Pumps for Rice Field Irrigation in Pruwatan Village, Brebes Regency, Central Java
Water shortages during the dry season are the main problem for rice farmers in Pruwatan Village, Brebes District, Central Java. Currently, many rice fields in Pruwatan Village are rain-fed. This condition has been caused by natural disasters since 2010, which have resulted in dams breaking and landslides in irrigation canal cliffs. To meet water needs, this community service activity has built a solar-powered pump installation to raise water from the Pemali River that flows through Pruwatan Village to be channeled into the irrigation canal. The solar-powered pump uses an off-grid model (independent electricity without a PLN network connection) and without batteries. The pump used is a submersible type. The electrical energy to drive the pump comes 100% from the installed solar panels. The main device of the solar-powered pump consists of a series of 10,000 Wp solar panels, two units of 3 HP built-in inverters, two units of 3 HP submersible pumps, and a safety circuit (MCB). The pumps used are two 3 HP submersible pumps installed in parallel. The pump raises water from the Pemali River to the irrigation channel about 120 meters away with an elevation of 30 meters. The built-in inverter has a short circuit safety device, over/under voltage and undervoltage detection, and easy and user-friendly operation
Edukasi Latihan Fisik Aktivitas Motorik Kasar untuk Mencegah Kelemahan Otot Lansia Penghuni Panti Werda: Physical Exercise Education on Gross Motor Activities to Prevent Muscle Deterioration of Elderly in Nursing Home
Indonesia has entered an aging population structure where the percentage of the elderly population has reached more than 10% since 2021. According to WHO data, the elderly population in Indonesia was 9.92% in 2020 and will increase to 20% in 2045. One of the health problems faced by the elderly is muscle weakness. Community service activities are carried out to prevent this disorder from becoming more progressive. These activities, which aim to train several physical exercise movements for gross motor activities, have significantly improved muscle strength, balance, and overall physical health in older people. Education is delivered through video screenings, live demonstrations, and socialization through banner media. The physical exercises taught can be done individually or in groups through games. This PKM activity was attended by 61 residents of nursing homes, most of whom were in the 71-80 year age group (39.34%) and over 80 years (39.34%), with an average age of 77.98 years. All participants agreed that the PKM activities held were interesting and valuable. Most elderly are interested in participating in other physical exercise activities in the future (97.87%). And after participating in this educational activity, 70.21% of older people became more motivated to do it routinely. The type of gross motor activity physical exercise preferred by older people is individual physical exercise, namely, tiptoe exercises (72.34%), raising and lowering the ball (68.09%), and bending the legs backward (65.96%)
Community Empowerment Strategy of Pondok Agung, Kasembon Sub-district through Biogas Technology to Reduce Cattle Waste Pollution in Water
The community-based biogas project in Kasembon sub-district focuses on utilising livestock manure as a renewable energy source and organic fertiliser producer to improve community welfare and reduce negative environmental impacts. Through an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, the project identifies local assets, such as land and manure, and empowers the local community to maintain the biogas system. The biogas production process produces environmentally friendly energy and reduces dependence on LPG. In addition, the organic fertiliser made from biogas waste can be utilised in agriculture to improve productivity and soil health. The implementation of ABCD encourages collaboration between the community, government, and university, and creates new economic opportunities by selling organic fertiliser. However, challenges such as dependence on external assistance, high initial capital requirements, and technical limitations hinder long-term sustainability
Pelatihan Penggunaan Kuesioner Usability untuk Pengukuran Kualitas Perangkat Lunak bagi Mahasiswa dan Masyarakat Umum: Training on the Use of Usability Questionnaire for Measuring Software Quality for Students and the General Public
Agile development ensures quality software is on time and according to user expectations. Therefore, software testing is essential before launch, including usability testing as part of the user experience. However, the many choices of questionnaires in usability testing make it difficult for developers to determine the appropriate method. This community service is a training activity that aims to improve the understanding of students and the general public, especially those involved in software development related to usability testing. The training is conducted face-to-face with counseling, namely interactive lectures, discussions, case studies, and quizzes. The training materials include an introduction to software quality and usability evaluation, respondent selection techniques, an introduction to types of usability questionnaires, and exercises in calculating and interpreting usability scores using the Usability Metric for User Experience (UMUX-Lite) questionnaire. The training results showed that the level of understanding was still low (31.07%); this result was due to several obstacles, namely the imbalance in the number of participants and facilitators, the relatively short discussion time, and not all participants being active in the activities. The strategy for future improvements is to conduct remedial sessions, re-evaluate learning methods and media, and divide participants into small groups with adequate training facilitators
