No full textThe Bagas Waras Women's Farmers Group (KWT) is one of the women's groups that cultivates a lot of TOGA in Banyuanyar Village, Boyolali. Their seriousness in cultivating TOGA is proven by the establishment of Omah TOGA, which has become an educational tourism destination. KWT members also have high enthusiasm for developing TOGA's potential and have produced many processed food products from TOGA. KWT Bagas Waras needs innovations in TOGA products, namely traditional cosmetic products. The service team provides scientific insight through training on developing traditional cosmetic products, namely body scrubs made from various types of TOGA. This activity involves 40 KWT members who will participate in a series of stages: preparation, training, practice, and evaluation. This training activity can increase the scientific insight of KWT members and help them develop traditional body scrubs made from TOGA and good packaging methods. This training has gone well, with all participants very enthusiastically listening to material related to traditional cosmetics and demonstrating how to make body scrubs. The results obtained are traditional body scrubs with various variants originating from TOGA

No full textRenewable energy, particularly Solar Power Plants (PLTS), holds significant potential to enhance sustainability and efficiency in modern agriculture, including for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) utilizing hydroponic technology. This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to implement a PLTS system to improve the productivity and sustainability of hydroponic cultivation at Rumah Bali Hydroponic SME. The methods employed include installing a PLTS system to meet energy demands in hydroponic farming processes and providing technical training for SME partners on managing and utilizing solar energy. Evaluations were conducted to measure energy efficiency, impacts on plant productivity, and contributions to reducing operational costs. The results demonstrated that the PLTS system reduced dependency on conventional energy sources, decreased operational costs by 15%, and increased hydroponic crop productivity by 18%. Additionally, training sessions significantly enhanced participants' understanding of solar energy technology, with a 90% improvement in technical comprehension. The positive impact on carbon emission reduction further supports environmentally friendly agriculture. In conclusion, applying PLTS in hydroponic farming at Rumah Bali Hydroponic SME improved energy efficiency, productivity, and business sustainability. This program provides economic benefits and promotes sustainable agriculture, serving as a model for empowerment initiatives applicable to Indonesia's agricultural sector

No full textCommunity Service was carried out by a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Sharia and Economics, UIT Lirboyo Kediri, and the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Malang, and students of the Sharia Banking Study Program, Faculty of Sharia and Economics, UIT Lirboyo Kediri, which was carried out in Joho Village, Semen District, Kediri Regency. Targeting UMKM actors. The main objective of this activity is to improve skills in the economic field, especially digital marketing and packaging of UMKM products. This mentoring activity was carried out through a workshop that was held for several days, targeting UMKM actors of approximately 24 participants. The workshop material consisted of literature about digital marketing, including marketing strategies that study how to promote products through digital media to reach consumers quickly, precisely, personally, and relevantly. Material on product packaging includes processes related to designing and manufacturing containers or wrappers to protect a product. The obstacles faced in this mentoring include the lack of education about digital marketing, product packaging, and internet networks, and they only rely on offline sales, so product sales are not yet widespread. No full textThe competence of High School Guidance and Counseling Teachers (SMA BK Teachers) is very important to be improved in facing the challenges of the era of revolution 4.0. Improving the competence of High School Guidance and Counseling Teachers is expected to be able to help students think analytically, evaluatively, creatively, and complexly known as High Order Thinking Skills (HOTs), and develop students' career readiness. Therefore, high school guidance and counseling teachers must have creative and innovative strategies for providing career counseling services. This creative and innovative form can be seen in the design of a career counseling service model with group counseling services that are oriented towards developing 21st-century skills, namely critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills, collaboration skills, and communication skills by implementing the KIPAS counseling model. The method used in the KIPAS model career counseling training through this group counseling service is to apply a training model with an "in-on-in" pattern, namely three activities including one synchronous offline activity, one asynchronous online activity, and one assignment activity. The number of participants was 30 high school guidance and counseling teachers in Palangka Raya City with a pattern of 42 lesson hours and was carried out for four weeks. This training has succeeded in increasing the insight and competence of high school guidance and counseling teachers to practice the KIPAS model of career counseling services sequentially according to the KIPAS counseling stages

No full textThis community service program is entitled "Increasing Creativity and Environmental Awareness Through the Process of Making Ecoprint Tote Bags in Elementary Schools". This program aims to increase student creativity and environmental awareness through making ecoprint tote bags using natural materials. With this activity, students are expected to develop creative and innovative thinking skills and understand the importance of protecting the environment through the wise use of natural resources. The targets of this program are students at SD 3 Merbau Mataram, who are directly involved in the process of making ecoprints, starting from the selection of patterns, arrangement of leaves and flowers, to coloring techniques. The methods used include education about ecoprint, demonstration of techniques, and hands-on practice sessions. The results of this service showed a significant increase in student creativity, shown by various unique designs on ecoprinted tote bags. In addition, students are also more aware of the importance of using natural materials, which contributes to the formation of environmental care behavior. To ensure the sustainability of this program, further training and collaboration with schools and local communities are recommended. This program can be a model to increase creativity and environmental awareness in other schools

No full textThe increasing popularity of equestrian activities today for sports, entertainment, recreation, hobbies, and lifestyles has had a positive impact with the emergence of several horse riding training areas and horse-breeding in South Kalimantan, especially in Banjarbaru City. The horse stables at the horse riding training areas will produce waste in the form of horse manure, both solid (feces) and liquid (urine). Poor waste management of horse manure will hurt the environment. This community service activity aims to provide an eco-friendly solution to the problem of a pile of horse manure in horse stables. Based on the discussions between the community service team and the owner of one of the horse farms in Banjarbaru City, Johnhaus Stable, a solution was provided in the form of training in making compost fertilizer made from horse manure. The training began with a presentation on compost making and was followed by practice in making compost from horse manure. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test given to participants, there has been a significant increase in the interest and knowledge of the participants regarding compost fertilizer

This community service uses qualitative methods with structured written and verbal interviews, and psychoeducation is also provided to students. Community Service by providing psychoeducation for students in Ngaliyan District. Namely, students are given material related to improving school well-being with psychoeducation consisting of relaxation, self-efficacy, and assertiveness. The results of this service showed an increase in school well-being in this community service with psychoeducation, which improved the welfare of elementary school students after being given psychoeducation, compared to before being given psychoeducation

No full textSocial media has become a strategic medium in modern communication, including for the sustainable promotion of products and services. Recognizing the importance of practical communication skills on digital platforms, this community service activity aimed to provide training for the Karang Taruna Dwikora Medan on socialization of using English and Indonesian for sustainable promotion on social media. The training was conducted over two days using a participatory approach, involving presentations, discussions, and hands-on practice. The materials covered include using social media as a promotional tool, techniques for creating sustainable content, and language strategies such as code-switching, bilingual hashtags, and content adaptation based on the platform. This activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and ability to design engaging and relevant promotional content for local and international audiences, with an 85% improvement in knowledge based on pretest and posttest evaluations. The participants' enthusiasm and active participation demonstrated this program's success in raising awareness of the importance of adaptive and inclusive communication strategies in the digital age. This activity made a real contribution to youth empowerment by mastering digital communication skills oriented toward sustainability

No full textMetabolic syndrome is a collection of metabolic disorders that are closely related to an increased risk of developing diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular diseases in obese adolescents. Metabolic syndrome in adolescents is still reversible with varying timeframes. In adolescents with metabolic syndrome, the transition from homeostasis with normal blood sugar levels to type 2 diabetes occurs more rapidly compared to adults. Early diagnosis of metabolic syndrome is essential for prevention through lifestyle changes. Living in urban areas has a higher risk of obesity compared to living in rural areas after controlling for other variables. This activity aims to initially screen metabolic syndrome in middle school adolescents in urban and rural areas. The measurement of metabolic syndrome parameters involved 107 students, consisting of 47 middle school students in urban areas and 60 in rural areas. The measurement and data analysis results showed significant differences in body mass index (p<0,001), waist size (p=0.03), waist circumference (p=0.007), and upper arm circumference (p=0.002) between students in urban and rural areas, while blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and neck circumference did not show significant differences

No full textGambling is a game requiring players to have money or objects used as bets. Along with its development in the current digital era, gambling has also undergone development. The phenomenon of online gambling today also penetrates teenagers, especially students. The phenomenon of online gambling is one of the deviant behaviors that hurts students' psychological conditions, academic achievements, and social conditions. Therefore, the community service activities at Nurul Ihsan Islamic High School, Palangka Raya, are very relevant to online gambling, which is currently developing among teenagers, especially students. This activity was carried out to provide education about the negative impact of online gambling that can affect the psychological condition of students. Various aspects related to online gambling were explained, such as the form of online gambling, the negative impact of online gambling, and the legal consequences for online gambling perpetrators. This activity also provides prevention strategies that can be done to avoid online gambling practices for students, as well as handling strategies for students who have fallen into online gambling. A total of 50 Nurul Ihsan Islamic High School students were followed by receiving material related to the negative impact of online gambling from a legal perspective. Furthermore, the activity was closed with an evaluation, namely questions and answers, and the provision of post-tests. The results of the activity provided information to increase knowledge and understanding of the negative impact of online gambling for students from a legal perspective, as well as efforts to prevent online gambling practices among students
