Analysis of the Potential for Organic and Inorganic Waste Reduction at PT Asmin Bara Bronang: Analisis Potensi Reduksi Sampah Organik dan Anorganik di PT Asmin Bara Bronang

    No full text
Waste management in the industrial sector presents a serious challenge that requires effective and sustainable strategies. This study aims to analyze the waste generation, composition, as well as the potential and effectiveness of waste reduction activities at PT Asmin Bara Bronang. Data were collected based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 19-3964-1994 as a reference for measuring waste generation and composition. The measurements showed an average waste generation of 263.67 kg/day, with the dominant components being food waste (44.02%), paper (14.55%), and plastic (12.04%). Waste reduction efforts carried out include the cultivation of Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae and the processing of plastic into paving blocks and plastic sheets. However, the current effectiveness is still low, reaching only 6.75%. Through optimization analysis, food waste reduction has the potential to increase to 35.80%, and plastic waste reduction to 17.07%. Therefore, the total potential waste reduction after optimization could increase to 52.87% of the total daily waste generation

Simulasi Pengaruh Angin Pada Bangunan Di Kalimantan Selatan Menggunakan Software Thunderhead Pyrosim: Simulation Of Wind Effects On Buildings In South Kalimantan Using Thunderhead Pyrosim Software

    No full text
South Kalimantan has a tropical climate with high rainfall and high humidity. The weather in this area can also change rapidly, with strong winds and heavy rain, potentially damaging buildings and infrastructure. In recent decades, there have been significant improvements in building design and construction, especially in terms of strength and safety. However, many buildings are still vulnerable to wind damage, especially in areas prone to storms or strong winds. This research aims to simulate the effect of wind on a simple residential building in South Kalimantan measuring 6.0 m x 6.0 m, with varying roof slope angles of 15, 30, 35, and 40 degrees, using Thunderhead Pyrosim Software Version 6.9.1 (Academic License).. Based on the results of this study, it can be known that according to online BMKG data, the maximum wind speed that occurs in South Kalimantan is 21 m/det, and based on the results of software simulation, it can be known that the greater the slope angle of the roof, the greater the Cd (drag coefficient) / resistance of the building, which means that the building will have a higher possibility of being carried away by the wind. Conversely, a lower drag coefficient value indicates that the roof will be more resistant to wind flow pressure, or in other words, more aerodynamic, so that houses in windy areas can use roofs with a small slope angle (15o - 35o ) or concave roofs for better aerodynamics, and provide a barrier in the direction of the wind

The results of the 2022 PISA (Paris-Pelaksanaan Sains Indonesia/PISA) show that Indonesian students' scientific literacy remains low, including in heat. This study aims to analyze the scientific literacy skills of seventh-grade students at Junior High School 10 Sampit regarding scientific knowledge and attitudes. The study used a descriptive quantitative method with a sample of 55 students. Data were obtained through a scientific literacy test and a scientific attitudes questionnaire, then analyzed using descriptive percentages. The results show that scientific literacy achievement in the knowledge aspect was 41.21% (very poor category) and in the scientific attitudes aspect was 69.92% (sufficient category). The highest level of knowledge was in content (43.33%) and the lowest in epistemic (36.36%), while the highest level of scientific attitudes was in understanding environmental issues (72.00%) and the lowest level in interest in science and technology (69.23%). The main influencing factors were interest in learning science, limited practical work, and lack of experience working on scientific literacy-based problems. These findings indicate the need to improve practice-based learning strategies and practice problems

Studi Literatur Tentang Pentingnya Penerapan Manajemen Risiko Dalam Industri Jaminan Pasca-Covid-19: Literature Study on the Importance of the Implementation of Risk Management in the Post-COVID-19 Guarantee Industry

The guarantee business is a risky business, where the recipient of the guarantee (bank) transfers the debtor's credit risk to the guarantee company. Guarantee companies have been burdened with lousy credit claims and layoff claims since March 2020, following the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Guarantee companies need to manage risk well so that the transfer of this risk can be an advantage in the form of a guarantee fee (IJP) and profit. The research is qualitative research through a review of relevant literature published in 2010-2021. Researchers seek to understand the implementation of risk management that has been carried out, especially in the non-bank financial industry. The study results show that the insurance company needs to prepare to implement risk management and risk mitigation. It can be done by preparing internal SOPs, reinsurance, co-guaranteeing, and subrogating the post-COVID-19 pandemic. Guarantee companies need to identify risks, measure risks, and then accept, reject, mitigate, or transfer risks. It can be done by implementing embedded enterprise risk management (ERM) in enterprise business processes
