Peningkatan Kualitas Produk Kunyit Asam Instan Produksi Kober Nurul Huda: Quality Improvement of Kunyit Asam Instant Drink Manufactured by Kober Nurul Huda
No full textKober Nurul Huda was an early childhood education institution located at the foot of Mount Cikuray, in Dangiang Village, Garut Regency, West Java. To support the institution's economy, an innovation was needed to generate additional income, one of which was through the utilization of local plants into products. Turmeric was a plant that could be processed into various products, one of which was the traditional turmeric tamarind drink. The method used in this community service activity was a participatory approach through observation, training, assistance, and evaluation of the results. Training and assistance were provided to improve the quality of instant turmeric tamarind products. A questionnaire was given to 26 respondents, consisting of pre and post-tests, to assess participants' knowledge. A 33% increase in understanding was achieved. Furthermore, assistance was provided in packaging and product licensing. Attractive product packaging was developed, and an SPP-IRT certificate was obtained. Overall, the partners were satisfied with this activity

No full textEcosystems in Central Kalimantan are generally dominated by peat swamps, including Kereng Bangkirai Village, Sebangau District. Ecotourism is responsible for improving community welfare but still prioritizing the environmental preservation of natural areas found in tourist locations. Education on waste management in the community is still lacking, reflected in the lack of sorting when disposing of household waste to the landfill and residents' habit of burning environmental waste in the form of leaves or dry grass. The Riswandi Farm farmer group uses the results of cutting grass in the Kereng Bangkirai area to be used as compost. However, the limitations of the grass-cutting tools used are an obstacle in producing compost. So it is necessary to apply shredding machine technology to overcome the problem of the amount of organic compost production and produce derivative fertilizer products in other forms
Peningkatan Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Orang Tua dalam Deteksi Dini Masalah Kesgilut pada Anak Disabilitas: Improving Parents' Knowledge and Skills in Early Detection of Oral Health Problems among Children with Disabilities
No full textOral health problems are more vulnerable in children with disabilities than children in general. One of the efforts to minimize these problems is to increase parents' awareness of the importance of maintaining effective oral health in children with disabilities. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the knowledge and skills of parents who have children with disabilities in the early detection of oral health problems so that severity does not occur. This community service program is in the form of socialization activities and early detection skills training conducted for 71 parents/caregivers on 20 September 2024 at the RSGMP Baiturrahmah Hall, Padang City. Pre and post-assessment of parents' knowledge and skills were conducted, out of 72 parents/caregivers only 39 parents/caregivers completed the pre and post-test. The results of the analysis of existing data showed a significant increase in both the knowledge and skills of parents in the early detection of oral health problems. This activity needs to be carried out regularly as a promotional effort to improve the degree of oral health in children with disabilities

No full textClassroom Action Research (CAR) is one of the important activities carried out by teachers to improve the quality of learning. Through CAR activities, teachers can analyze the problems experienced during learning. In addition to CAR, teachers are also expected to be able to carry out publication activities on the results of CAR that have been implemented. With the advancement of technology, it is also expected that teachers will find it easier to compile scientific papers. This Community Service Activity aims to reinforce teachers in implementing CAR and writing scientific papers based on technology. This Community Service Activity was carried out at Ummu Aiman Lawang Elementary School, Malang Regency. The targets of this community service are Class Teachers and Subject Teachers at Ummu Aiman Lawang Elementary School. This activity was carried out using the discussion and question-and-answer method. The results of this community service are an increase in teacher understanding of CAR activities and the use of technology to support publication. This result was obtained from the analysis of the achievement of community service activities seen from the post-test score where participants experienced an increase in understanding with an average value of 83.75

No full textAlong with technological developments in the world of education, teachers are expected to always learn and adapt to technological developments so that the learning process in the classroom is more interesting. Apart from that, the teacher's ability to master and apply competencies in the field of technology, especially in the field of education, can help teachers develop learning materials and media so that they are always relevant to current developments. However, problems were found faced by teachers at the SMK Pariwisata Kertayasa Singakerta Ubud where their competence regarding the use of technology and teaching techniques was still not optimised. For this reason, the community service team provided the solutions that can be implemented by the community service team to solve the problems faced by partners. There is a solution that has been agreed upon, namely conducting socialization, training, and assistance in implementing the Flipped Classroom for the teachers as community service participants. The results of this community service activity show an increase in the teacher’s knowledge and understanding of implementing Flipped Classroom. Moreover, they gave a positive response to the activities provided by the community service team

No full textDental caries is one of the major health issues among school-aged children, particularly in the age range of 6-9 years. The lack of awareness about the importance of maintaining dental health from an early age is a contributing factor to the high prevalence of caries in children, which can be addressed through interactive media like illustrated books. This community service project aims to raise awareness about dental care among first-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Harapan Jaya, Sukarame, Bandar Lampung. The methods used include a pre-test, group reading sessions, reading the illustrated book, and a post-test. The pre-test results showed an improvement in students' understanding of dental health after reading the illustrated book, with post-test scores being higher than pre-test scores. This interactive illustrated book provides an engaging and easy-to-understand way of conveying health information, making it a useful tool for dental health education

This initiative aims to empower local communities by providing training and skills in processing coffee leaf waste into economically valuable herbal tea products. The outcome of this community service activity is herbal tea made from coffee leaves, packaged similarly to commercial tea products. The target community has gained an understanding of the health benefits of this herbal tea, and their skills in producing coffee leaf herbal tea have improved significantly

No full textEffective waste management remains a problem in Senden Village, especially regarding waste sorting. This issue encourages the KKN UNS 150 2024 team to conduct education related to waste management in the form of community service. The aim of this activity is to raise public awareness about the importance of effective and sustainable waste management and to encourage creative innovations in waste utilization. The method applied includes outreach and hands-on practice. The community service activities carried out include training on making candles from used cooking oil, the Merah Putih Environment Challenges, and socialization on the introduction of the 3Rs. The training on making candles from used cooking oil is aimed at the PKK mothers in Ngabean Hamlet. The result of this activity is the community's skill in processing used cooking oil waste into aromatherapy candles. The Merah Putih Environment Challenges activity targets a larger scope, specifically the mothers in Ngabean Hamlet. The outcome of this activity is the creation of handicrafts from inorganic waste. The socialization on the introduction of the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) is directed at the students of SD Negeri Senden 2. This activity effectively enhances students' understanding and awareness regarding proper waste management. The conclusion of this community service activity is that the residents of Senden Village, particularly those in Ngabean hamlet, are expected to have a good understanding of waste management and be prudent in handling it

No full textThe rapid development of information technology has a significant impact on every aspect of life, including the emergence of one of the disturbing phenomena of online gambling and illegal online loans. Online gambling offers fantastic winnings that make victims addicted, while illegal online loans offer easy disbursement of funds that trap victims in financial problems. To increase awareness from an early age about the dangers of online gambling and illegal online loans, socialization activities were carried out for students of SMA Negeri-2 Palangka Raya. This socialization used an interactive lecture method with an audio-visual approach, case studies, simulations, and interactive quizzes. The results of the socialization showed that participants experienced an increase in understanding of the modus operandi and legal consequences of online gambling and illegal online loans and built critical awareness. In addition, participants also received education about the importance of wise financial management strategies as a preventive measure
