Development and Characterisation of a Nanocomposite Membrane Using Polyethersulphone and Graphene Oxide-Magnetite Nanoparticles for Rejection of Chromium Hexavalent Ions from Tannery Wastewater
Polyethersulphone (PES) polymer blended with Graphene Oxide (GO) and magnetite ( nano-composite was synthesized using an immersion precipitation process for the filtration of chromium hexavalent ions from leather processing waste water. PES is a synthetic polymer with good chemical resistance, wide pH range (2-13) as well as good mechanical and thermal properties. However, it is hydrophobic and prone to fouling hence its limitations in aqueous separation processes. In order to improve hydrophilicity, porosity, permeability and strength properties of the polymeric membrane, GO was synthesized from coal via a modified Hummers Method and then blended with anhydrous ferrous chloride to form Graphene oxide/ magnetite () hybrid nano-particles. To assess the performance of the membrane pure water flux, Equilibrium Water Content (EWC) and tensile strength test was measured. Structural analysis involved porosity measurement. The filtration efficiency of the membranes was found by testing the waste water for chromium ion concentration before and after filtration. It was established that both the physical properties and chromium ion rejection improved with increase in polymer concentration and addition of hybrid nano-particles

A Comparative Study on Paper Currency Recognition and Identification Using Image Processing Techniques
Almost all the countries across the world today have their own individual currency systems for different denominations. Various features that accompany these currencies like images, logos, watermarks, serial numbers, textures, font styles etc., tell them apart from each other. These features at the same time can be used for counterfeit currency production, which if not put a check on, can become a threat to any nation’s economy. In this paper we have tried to review the currencies of various countries, their markers and features and the algorithms and techniques used to recognize and authenticate them
ICT for Honing Linguistic Skills
With the day to day progress in Information Communication Technology (ICT), it is becoming easier and convenient to learn the languages, particularly, the international language like English. There is a well accepted principle in education that seeing is believing and the ICT is such a powerful means that it can address this concern. It can make the learning experience very interesting and enriching. The only requisite thing is that the learner should have the hardware and software to use and the proper motivation, initiative and skills to learn the language. In the recent time, Instructional technology (IT) has become an integral part of teaching and learning, both in and out of the classroom. The use of technology in the effective manner while learning and teaching English can yield very tangible results. ICT as a means is very important but equally important is the user who can put the technology to various uses to achieve the objectives. He can find out ways and means to enhance learning and teaching
Performance of Top Management Institutes of India
In this paper we have examined to examine the efficiency of top 50 Indian B-Schools. Study of management institutes is very useful as they are preparing professionally qualified personnel in the area of management. To achieve these objectives, the management institutes need various parameters like highly qualified, motivated and committed faculty members, talented students with adequate background and a vision for growth. The data envelopment analysis used to identify management institutions which are able to utilize their resources in a most efficient way. This model is used to evaluate the relative efficiency of a group of decision-making units (DMUs) in their use of multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs where the form of production is neither known nor specified as in the case of parametric approach. The paper investigates management institutes from various points of stakeholders. Technical efficiencies are identified with failures to achieve best possible output levels and/or usage of excessive amounts of inputs. The findings in the study of B-Schools may be useful in converting the inputs to outputs
Improved Approaches and Various study on image Steganography
Steganography is the sciences that include impart secretive information in an appropriate interactive media bearer, for eg, picture, sound, and video records. It comes beneath the assumption so as to if feature is visible, point of assault is obvious, thus aim here is for all time to hide the extremely existence of embedded data. Steganography has a variety of use applications. Though, like any other science it is able to use for the ill intentions. It has been impelled to front of present security strategies by momentous improvement in computational power, increment in wellbeing mindfulness by, e.g., individuals, groups, agency, and government and all the way through intellectual detection. A wide range of transporter record organizations can be utilized, yet advanced pictures are the most famous in view of their recurrence on the web. This paper presents two new procedures where in cryptography and steganography are united to scramble the data and notwithstanding cover the data in another medium through IP. This Report securing the picture by encryption is finished by DES calculation utilizing the key picture. The scrambled picture can be covering up in another picture by utilizing RSA procedures, with the goal that the mystery’s exceptionally presence is hidden. The decoding should be possible by a similar key picture utilizing DES calculation.
A Survey on Fuzzy Logic Based Approaches for Edge Detection
A digital picture is a distribution of gray values over a predefined grid of specified image size. Digital image processing may also be said as a subset as a branch of science, where any given image can be transformed to arrays of small integers called pixels or snapshots representing a physical number such as scene radians and the digital photograph processing ways stems from two most important utility areas: growth of pictorial expertise for human figuring out and processing of photograph information for storage, transmission and representation for independent computing device belief .Edges symbolize boundaries and side detection can be stated as some of the complicated assignment in photo processing. Aspect detection is a procedure which significantly reduces the amount of knowledge and filters out vain understanding while retaining the foremost structural homes in an photograph. Area detection has many functions in snapshot processing and laptop imaginative and prescient and will probably be an foremost method in each biological and robotic vision.
Convolution Neural Network for Feature Extraction in Skin Disease Detection
Skin Diseases are becoming very common now days. Number of people suffering from skin diseases is increasing rapidly. Human judgment on diagnosis of skin diseases is sometimes subjective and not reproducible. To achieve more reliable and objective accuracy computer aided diagnosis may be used. With advancement in medical imaging, image based classification is been increasingly used for disease detection in medical field. Feature engineering is very important for any classifier to achieve maximum results. Convolution Neural Networks (CNN) can learn features on its own reducing total time required for development of such systems and at the same time increasing level of accuracy. We acquired more than 850 original images for two skin diseases from department of Skin and VD, KEM Hospital, Mumbai. We have used CNN for feature extraction from input images of two skin diseases. These features are fed to Support Vector Machine (SVM) for classification. The results indicate CNN can be feasibly used of feature extraction in skin disease detection
Discrete Wavelet Transform Based Technique to Locate Faults in Three Terminal Transmission Lines
This paper proposes a discrete wavelet transform based technique to locate faults in three terminal transmission lines. The proposed technique establishes the location of faults by utilizing current signals of both end of transmission line. The current signals are processed using discrete wavelet transform toolbox of MATLAB. The proposed transmission line fault location technique is not affected by varying location of faults and type of fault. Extensive simulation studies carried out using MATLAB/Simulink exemplifies the effectiveness of the proposed discrete wavelet transform based fault location technique.
