    Clonal-Based Cellular Automata in Bioinformatics

    This paper aims at providing a survey on the problems that can be easily addressed by clonal-based cellular automata in bioinformatics. Researchers try to address the problems in bioinformatics independent of each problem. None of the researchers has tried to relate the major problems in bioinformatics and find a solution using common frame work. We tried to find various problems in bioinformatics which can be addressed easily by clonal based cellular automata. Extensive literature survey is conducted. We have considered some papers in various journals and conferences for conduct of our research. This paper provides intuition towards relating various problems in bioinformatics logically and tries to attain a common frame work with respect to clonal based cellular automata classifier for addressing the same.

    Parsing Algorithm for English to Indian Language Machine Translation System using Tree Adjoining Grammar Formalism

    Abstract- Parser is a very crucial part of Natural Language Processing (NLP) through computational languages for syntactic analysis of sentence which includes identification of part of speech, phrase in terms of grammatical constituent, syntactic relation between phrases etc. A parser in machine translation analyzes sentences based on grammar formalism and builds a data structure corresponding to that grammar which indicates the syntactic correctness of a sentence. There are different formalisms available that can be used for analyzing sentences in natural language processing among which Tree Adjoining Grammar (TAG) formalism seems to be the most promising formalism for Machine Translation domain analysis, and here in this regard English to Indian languages. A hybrid approach to parsing algorithm known as Earley-type TAG parser gives better performance which can be further increased by using constraints in the operations of TAG formalism, reduction during the lexical analysis and applying heuristic rules during implementation. This paper proposes and ideate on the basic concept of TAG formalism i.e. the trees used for analyzing the sentences, the operations via which the trees are parsed, the recognizer algorithm, the use of TAG formalism for building an Earley-type parser and the constraints and heuristics to improve the performance of Earley-type TAG parser for Machine Translation technology that are elaborated subsequently.

Limited reserves of these resources and associated environmental problems have emphasized the need for sustainable and clean alternatives. Wind energy is one of the most environment friendly, clean and safe energy resources. This paper presents the policies and an initiative adopted for growth of wind power generation in India and also explains the challenges in its development.

    Specialty hair fiber, any of the textile fibers obtained from certain animals of the goat and camel families, are rarer than the more commonly used fibers and are valued for such desirable properties as fine diameter, natural luster, and ability to impart pleasing hand to fabrics. Specialty hair fibers obtained from the goat family include mohair from the Angora goat, and cashmere, sometimes referred to as cashmere wool, from the Kashmir goat. Common goats yield the less- valuable goat hair that is used mainly in low- cost felts and carpets manufactured for the automobile industry. Fibers obtained from animals of the camel family include camel hair, mainly from the Bactrian camel, and guanaco, llama, alpaca, and vicuña fibers, all from members of the genus Lama. Specialty hair fibers are gathered by hunting or domesticating the animals for their pelts or by periodic collecting fleece from live animals. Most of the fibers are low in the crimp and felting properties. In the United States, however, the Wool Products Labeling Act (1939) allows the designation of such fibers as “wool” in fiber- content labels. Like wool, and the finer, shorter fur fibers, hair fibers grow from the epidermis of the animal, forming the characteristic coat, and are composed chiefly of the protein substance keratin; their chemical properties are similar to those of wool. The animal is usually covered with two types of fiber. An outer coat of shiny, stiff guard hair affords protection from the elements. The undercoat, or down, composed of short, fine, soft fiber, provides insulation against heat and cold. Short, coarse, brittle hairs, called kemp, may be intermingled with both types of fiber. Separation of the downy fiber from other hair may be achieved by combing or by a blowing process that causes the heavier fiber to fall away. Such operations may be repeated several times to minimize coarse- fiber content. Long fibers with fine diameter and light color are usually the most desirable and expensive. An exception is vicuña, valued for its fairly dark cinnamon- brown color. Specialty hair fibers costly because of their rarity and the processing they require may be used alone in luxury fabrics for fine garments. They may also be blended with wool or other fibers to enhance appearance or texture, imparting softness or special effects. The coarse guard hairs are frequently blended with wool to impart luster
