The effect of guided inquiry with differentiated learning to enhance students' critical thinking skills
This study was designed to determine the effect of guided inquiry model integrated with differentiated learning on students' critical thinking skills on respiratory system material in class VII junior high school. The background of this research is based on the low critical thinking skills of students in Indonesia, as well as the need for a learning approach that is able to respond to the diversity of learning styles, interests, and readiness of students in the classroom. The guided inquiry with differentiated learning model, employs a method of instruction that encourages students to solve problems through the application of analytical and critical thinking skills. The present study employs a quasi-experimental design, specifically pretest-postest control group design. The present study utilizes a critical thinking ability test instrument according to Ennis, comprising 10 essay questions. Hypothesis testing was carried out with a significance level of 0.05 with the help of SPSS version 26. The research results demonstrated a significant influence of the guided inquiry learning mode with differentiated learning on students' critical thinking abilities, as measured by the Mann-Whitney U test with Asymp scores. Sig (2-tailed) 0.000, indicating a significance value <0.05. In conclusion, guided inquiry with differentiated learning is effective to enhance students' critical thinking skills and can be an alternative adaptive and responsive science learning strategy in the Merdeka Curriculum
Environmental literacy profile of Muhammadiyah junior high school students in Malang city: Intervention without having to consider factors!
Students of Muhammadiyah Junior High Schools and Muhammadiyah Islamic Junior High Schools need to have environmental literacy to practice environmentally friendly attitudes, become nature conservationists, and fulfill the school's role in serving education and the environment. However, there has been no mapping of EL profiles in Muhammadiyah Junior High Schools and Muhammadiyah Islamic Junior High Schools in Malang City. This study aims to analyze the EL profile of Muhammadiyah Junior High Schools and Muhammadiyah Islamic Junior High Schools in Malang City. Using a cross-sectional survey approach, EL data from 412 students in grades VII, VII, and IX in six Muhammadiyah schools were collected and analyzed based on gender, class, and parental education. The results showed that there were no significant differences in EL between male and female students, as well as between classes, and parental education. This study concludes that interventions or policies to improve environmental literacy can be applied universally, regardless of gender, grade level, or parental education
Penerapan Game Based Learning dengan Media Kahoot dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Membaca dan Memirsa Teks Deskripsi
Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran Game Based Learning dengan media Kahoot untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca dan memirsa teks deskripsi siswa kelas XI. Penelitian ini mengacu pada model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart yang terdiri dari 4 komponen, yaitu 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan penelitian, 3) observasi, dan 4) refleksi yang secara berulang sebanyak 3 siklus. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI-6 SMAN 21 Jakarta yang berjumlah 36 orang pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa pada siklus I yaitu 70, siklus II yaitu 80, dan siklus III yaitu 88 yang mengalami peningkatan nilai keterampilan membaca dan memirsa teks deskripsi dan antusiasme siswa dalam pembelajaran ditunjukkan dengan baik karena pemanfaatan teknologi. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Game Based Learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca dan memirsa teks deskripsi siswa kelas XI
Efektivitas Teknik Reframing untuk Mengentaskan Learned Helplessness pada Siswa
Learned helplessness merupakan kondisi psikologis di mana siswa merasa tidak berdaya, pesimis, dan mudah menyerah saat menghadapi tantangan akademik. Fenomena ini menghambat perkembangan motivasi belajar dan kesejahteraan mental siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas teknik reframing dalam mengentaskan learned helplessness pada siswa kelas IX UPT SMPN 35 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel terdiri dari enam siswa yang teridentifikasi memiliki tingkat learned helplessness tinggi, berdasarkan hasil penyebaran angket pada 23 siswa. Intervensi dilakukan melalui layanan konseling kelompok dengan teknik reframing dalam empat sesi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket learned helplessness yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis statistik menggunakan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan bahwa terdapat penurunan skor learned helplessness secara signifikan setelah diberikan layanan reframing, dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,027 (p < 0,05). Rata-rata skor pretest sebesar 102 menurun menjadi 63,67 pada posttest. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik reframing efektif dalam membantu siswa mengubah pola pikir negatif, meningkatkan persepsi positif terhadap diri, serta mengurangi sikap pasrah dan pesimis dalam belajar. Dengan demikian, teknik reframing dapat digunakan sebagai intervensi efektif oleh guru BK dalam menangani permasalahan learned helplessness di lingkungan sekolah.
Pengaruh Layanan Klasikal Terhadap Pencegahan Bullying di SMA Negeri 1 Sangatta Utara
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi berdasarkan adanya siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Sangatta Utara yang memiliki pemahaman mengenai pencegahan Bullying yang rendah. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu dilakukan penelitian dengan judul Pengaruh Layanan Klasikal Terhadap Pencegahan Bullying pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Sangatta Utara dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemahaman mengenai pencegahan Bullying serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan klasikal yang diberikan terhadap pemahaman mengenai pencegahan Bullying. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif experiment dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket pencegahan Bullying. Analisis data menggunakan uji T-Test dengan bantuan Microsoft Excel dan Statistical Products and Service Solutions (SPSS) Versi 24. Sebelum diberikan layanan klasikal skor rata-rata sebesar 49%, setelah diberikan layanan klasikal dengan jumlah skor rata-rata menjadi 74% dan mengalami peningkatan skor rata-rata sebesar 25%. Berdasarkan peningkatan ini seluruh siswa dalam kategori rendah menjadi kategori sedang. Hasil output test statistic diketahui Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) bernilai 0,000. Karena nilai 0,000 < 0,050 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima, yang artinya ada peningkatan pemahaman pencegahan Bullying siswa setelah mendapatkan layanan klasikal. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan klasikal berpengaruh terhadap pencegahan Bullying siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Sangatta Utara tahun ajaran 2022/2023
MODEL PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM TPQ AL FURQON MTA WONOSARI 1
This study aims to examine the curriculum model, curriculum development, and the supporting and inhibiting factors of curriculum development in TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1. The method used is phenomenology with a qualitative data analysis approach. Data were collected through observation and interviews, then analyzed descriptively through the process of transcription, coding, categorization, description, and interpretation. The instrument used in this research was an interview sheet submitted to the Head of TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1 to obtain valid data. The results of this study reveal that TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1 uses a curriculum model compiled by the LPQ MTA Center, whose material is based on MTA teachings that refer to the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah, and is adapted to the conditions that exist at TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1. TPQ Al Furqon MTA Wonosari 1 has developed by continuing to innovate in learning, such as the use of the classical Iqra' method for efficiency. AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ READING COMPREHENSION LEVEL AT NURUL FALAH SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PEKANBARU
This study examines the reading comprehension levels of students at Nurul Falah Senior High School Pekanbaru, focusing on three distinct categories: literal, inferential, and critical comprehension. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, utilizing a reading comprehension test as the primary instrument. The population included 110 students, with a simple random sampling method selecting 20% for the study. The analysis revealed that the average literal comprehension score was 87.27, categorized as very good, indicating strong performance at this level. For inferential comprehension, the average score was 79.54, classified as good, demonstrating the students' ability to infer information effectively. However, the critical comprehension score averaged 53.75, falling into the less proficient category, highlighting a need for improvement in higher-order thinking skills. The findings underscore the necessity for targeted interventions to enhance critical reading abilities while sustaining strengths in literal and inferential comprehension. This research contributes to the broader discourse on literacy education, offering practical insights for educators and policymakers aiming to develop comprehensive reading skills in high school students.
Scientific literacy-based encyclopedia on the antiaging properties of acehnese spices: A research and development approach
The aim of this research is to produce an encyclopedia of Acehnese spice plants that serves as an anti-aging agent developed based on scientific literacy. The encyclopedia of Acehnese spice plants will be used as one of the learning media in the Ethnobotany course. The development procedure was carried out using the ADDIE method which includes analyzing student needs and characteristics, formulating learning objectives, formulating material items, preparing evaluation instruments, writing drafts of encyclopedia, expert validation, field trials, and printing production scripts. Ethnobotanical experts conducted expert validation. The results of the expert validation test stated that the encyclopedia of Acehnese spice plants with antiaging potential as a learning resource to improve student science literacy in ethnobotany courses followed the design and the material included in it was suitable for use as learning media. The field trial results showed that the science literacy-based encyclopedia was very attractive in design and effectively used as learning media
BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK DENGAN TEKNIK PLAY THERAPY UNTUK MEREDUKSI PERILAKU BODY SHAMING
Masa remaja adalah masa dimana terjadi perubahan atau transisi dari anak – anak ke masa dewasa dengan rentang usia 12 sampai 19 tahun. Pada usia remaja terjadi perubahan yang sangat drastis baik itu dari segi fisiologis maupun psikologis. Fenomena seputar gaya hidup sangat cepat berkembang dan mempengaruhi remaja. Kecantikan, kesehatan dan perawatan tubuh adalah sebagian tren yang diikuti remaja. Dari tren gaya hidup yang berkembang tidak sedikit yang memunculkan perudungan bagi mereka yang tidak mengikuti atau tidak sesuai tren. Tindakan perundungan ini terkait dengan penampilan fisik seseorang atau lebih dikenal body shaming. Body shaming banyak menimpa remaja pada masa puberitas karena perbuahan fisik yang dialami. Perilaku body shaming tersebut menjadikan remaja tidak aman dan nyaman terhadap penampilan fisiknya Solusi yang ditawarkan pada permasalahan yang terjadi bagi peserta didik di SMPN 1 VII Sungai Sarik yaitu memberikan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik play therapy. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilaksanakan dalam rangka untuk mereduksi perilaku body shaming. Diharapkan ada pemahaman dan wawasan yang baru yang didapatkan melalui bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik play therapy
MANAJEMEN MUTU DALAM MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALISME GURU DI MTS MUHAMMADIYAH 15 MEDAN
This research aims to determine Quality Management in Increasing Teacher Professionalism at MTS Muhammadiyah 15 Medan. The research method used is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation with emphasis on informant data sources: madrasah principals, deputy madrasah principals and teachers to confirm the validity of the data obtained. The results of this research reveal three findings, namely: (1) To find out Quality Management in Improving Teacher Professionalism at MTS Muhammadiyah 15 Medan, (2) To find out the steps taken by madrasah heads in Quality Management in Increasing Teacher Professionalism at MTS Muhammadiyah 15 Medan (3 ) To find out the obstacles of madrasa heads in Quality Management in Increasing Teacher Professionalism at MTS Muhammadiyah 15 Medan. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that quality management in improving teacher professionalism carried out by madrasah heads starts from planning such as the process of selecting teachers in recruitment then carrying out organizing such as empowering the competencies possessed by teachers, and also placing teachers according to their majors and competencies, after It coordinates Teacher Working Groups (KKG), holds education and training (diklat), Subject Teacher Conferences (MGMP), and involves teachers in Quality Management in Increasing Teacher Professionalism at MTS Muhammadiyah 15 Medan
