Get PDFThe issues raised in this research is the role of literacy in the ability to speak class VIII SMP Budi Agung Medan academic year 2013/2014. While the purpose of this study was to determine a clear picture of the role of literacy in the ability to speak in class VIII SMP Budi Agung Medan 2013/2014 school year. This research is a descriptive study, research subjects were all students of class VIII SMP Budi Agung Medan academic year 2013/2014. The sample in this study were all students of class VIII A SMP Budi Agung Medan totaling 37 students. Data were analyzed by descriptive quantitative. Based on the results of the analysis can be taken, among others: a) The role of literacy in the ability to speak class VIII SMP Budi Agung Medan academic year 2013/2014 as a whole was moderate with an average of 7.5. (B) Orientation reading skills to speech class VIII SMP Budi Agung Medan 2013/2014 academic year, judging from the amount of the sample of 37 students as follows: high-ability students numbered 15 people. Students are capable of being numbered 17 people, and low-ability students amounted to 5 people. The conclusions from the results of this study indicate that the role of reading ability affects the ability to speak class VIII SMP Budi Agung Medan academic year 2013/2014 and can affect students in thinking and develop his talents

Java language, a research study with a cognate language Malay so that this language has much in common with the elements contained in Indonesian. The problem addressed in this study, namely the form of the verb affixes system contrastive Javanese and Indonesian. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative content analysis techniques. The theory used is the theory of contrastive analysis. PENGEMBANGAN STRATEGI TANDUR MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA E-LEARNING DALAM MENGONVERSI TEKS CERITA PENDEK MENJADI TEKS DRAMA
Get PDFThis study aims to describe about the plan, implementation, evaluation, and effectiveness of TANDUR (Tumbuhkan, Alami, Namai, Demonstrasikan, Ulangi, dan Rayakan) strategy development through e-learning media in converting texts of short story into drama. It uses research and development method (R & D), with reference to the model of Borg and Gall, which creates a product of learning strategy. It will be elaborated in the form of book with a lesson plan and auto play for the instruction of drama text writing. The result shows that the development consists of some stages, namely designing, validating, revising, testing, evaluating, and final testing. Those stages bring out the effectiveness of e-learning TANDUR strategy in enhancing comprehension, participation, and students’ behavior in the learning process. The validators state that it creates a very good product of its instructional design (87,55%) and its instructional media (82%).

It uses the concept of symbolic definition of George Herbert Mead’s perspective of symbolic interactions involving mind, self, and society. The definition of the symbol, in this case, must be the same among participants. If there is any difference, it would potentially raise conflicts and the dissimilarity of the symbol definition would be described. The method used in this data analysis is descriptive-analysis. The result shows that there is binary opposition towards symbol meaning in the interaction among participants. It reveals that there is a conceptual conflict about the characters’ point of view on the same symbols
Pelaksanaan Program BIPA dan Hasil Pembelajarannya
Get PDFThe present study identified the learning outcomes of the program of Indonesian for foreigners (BIPA—Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing) and the suitability between student learning outcomes and teaching materials of BIPA. The learning process of BIPA was conducted to improve four language competencies including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Based on the 2016 and 2017 BIPA teaching reports, thirteen teachers assigned to teach BIPA to Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, France, and Russia were successfully able to improve the four language competencies of the students. Meanwhile, the suitability between student learning outcomes and teaching materials of BIPA indicated that: 1) sixty seven BIPA teachers were considered good at adjusting the learning to the teaching materials, 2) four BIPA teachers were rated fair in adjusting the learning to the teaching materials, and 3) ten BIPA teachers were considered poor in adjusting the learning to the teaching materials

We intend it to find out which countries have a great interest in this amount of students seen from the BIPA to be adjusted to the number of teachers who will be sent to the target country. The existence of the average amount of students can also known to target countries with a population of students which is so that the future can be PPSDK to restrict the policy directions of teachers who will be sent to these countries as the form of effectiveness and efficiency. Results of the study showed that Thailand, Myanmar, New Guinea, Australia, and East Timor is five countries with the potential and the average highest BIPA student
DEKONSTRUKSI DALAM CERPEN MONOLOG "AKU, PEMBUNUH MUNIR" KARYA SENO GUMIRA AJIDARMA
Get PDFAbstract: This papper is a study of identifying the explicit meaning of monologue short story entitled "Aku, Pembunuh Munir" by Seno Gumira Ajidarma. The pronlem of the study is denoted through words, phrases and sentences used by the author tend to imply contradictive meanings. The method uses literatute study and deep meaning towards the text applying deconstruction theory by Derrida in order to help elaborate the meaning in wide point of view. The result of the study says that the meaning of text contains contradictive, irony and paradox meanings, consisting: the confession of character "Aku" does not reveal the murderer of Munir. The study concludes that those contradictive, irony and pa radox meanings represent the impression of a satire of Indonesian law which tends to be loose delivered by the author.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi makna eksplisit dari cerpen monolog yang berjudul "Aku, Pembunuh Munir" karya Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah makna-makna kontradiktif yang tersirat pada kata-kata, frase, dan kalimat yang digunakan oleh pengarang. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode studi literatur serta pemaknaan yang mendalam terhadap teks dengan menerapkan teori dekonstruksi Derrida untuk membantu menguraikan makna secara luas. Hasil penelitian ini adalah makna-makna kontradiktif, ironi, dan paradoks dalam kata-kata yang digunakan oleh pengarang, yaitu pengakuan tokoh "Aku" yang sebenarnya ti dak menjawab siapa pembunuh Munir yang sesungguhnya. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah pengarang ingin menyampaikan makna-makna kontradiktif, ironi, dan paradoks yang merupakan sindiran terhadap hukum di Indonesia yang dirasa kurang tegas terkait dengan kasus Munir.
REKONSILIASI TANAH KELAHIRAN DALAM DUA PUISI IMAN BUDHI SANTOSA
Get PDFThis research discusses the effort of reconciliation to the Javanese people view to their land of origin as expressed in the poems “Ziarah Tembuni” and “Ziarah Tanah Jawa” by Iman Budhi Santosa. The problem formulation is how social and cultural phenomena portrayed in those poems “Ziarah Tanah Jawa” and “Ziarah Tembuni” and ideology of its creation. The purpose of the research is to show modernity phenomena as faced by Javanese people in common and show the the ideology as the foundation of the poems creation. The discussion of the problem formulation and the purpose of the research use qualitative method with sociology theory by Janet Wolff. The result shows that those two poetic expressions of “Ziarah Tembuni” and “Ziarah Tanah Jawa” sound to ask reconciliation to remind, love, and realize the origin of the kinship of man-nature in the Javanese social construction. The result of the research concludes that kinship can avoid character of selfish and individualistic. Ideally, people face and experience modernity in life but they have to base it on local culture and tradition of their own country. Abstrak: Penelitian ini membahas tentang usaha merekonsiliasi pandangan masyarakat Jawa modern terhadap tanah kelahiran yang diekspresikan dalam puisi “Ziarah Tembuni” dan “Ziarah Tanah Jawa” karya Iman Budhi Santosa. Masalah penelitian tentang fenomena sosial budaya yang tergambar dalam puisi “Ziarah Tanah Jawa” dan “Ziarah Tembuni” serta ideologi yang melandasi kedua karya puisi tersebut. Tujuan penelitian adalah menunjukkan fenomena modernitas yang dijumpai dalam masyarakat Jawa secara umum dan menunjukkan ideologi yang melandasi penciptaan puisi “Ziarah Tembuni” dan “Ziarah Tanah Jawa”. Pembahasan masalah penelitian dan tujuan penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan memanfaatkan teori sosiologi Janett Wolff. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa kedua ekspresi puitik dalam“Ziarah Tembuni” dan “Ziarah Tanah Jawa” menjadi ajakan rekonsiliasi untuk mengingat, mencintai, dan menyadari asal-usul kekerabatan manusia-alam dalam konstruksi sosial masyarakat Jawa. Dari hasil penelitian itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa kekerabatan dapat menghindarkan manusia dari sifat egois dan individualis. Diidealkan manusia mengalami modernitas dalam aktivitas kehidupan tetapi tetap berlandaskan pada budaya dan tradisi lokal atau bangsa sendiri
