    The application of School-Based Management (SBM) has emerged as a strategic method to enhance education quality, particularly in vocational high schools. This study investigates the influence of SBM implementation on the educational standards at SMK Swasta Pembda Nias. A quantitative approach combined with descriptive analysis was utilized to gather data through interviews, observations, and questionnaires involving principals, teachers, and administrative staff. The findings demonstrate that effective SBM practices significantly improve education quality by ensuring structured curriculum management, optimal human resource utilization, and active involvement from the community and stakeholders. Key factors contributing to success include strong school leadership, community collaboration, and adequate resource allocation. These results underscore the relevance of SBM as a vital strategy for advancing educational quality in vocational schools, particularly in regions with distinctive challenges like Nias

    Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran Audio Visual Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pada Mata Pelajaran IPAS

    Technological advances in education demand innovation in learning media to support the quality of the teaching and learning process. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of audio-visual learning media in IPAS subjects, especially on ecosystems and biodiversity. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includes five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 15 fourth grade students of SDN 1 and 2 Sembalun Lawang, with the results of a 3-minute 30-second video showing an increase in student understanding. From the results of the analysis, 10 students achieved a “High” N-Gain classification (≥ 0.7), with two students achieving the highest scores of 0.962 and 0.926, indicating that this audio-visual media is effective in improving understanding of the material. The learning media developed has been validated by experts and received positive responses from students and school principals, who assessed this media as feasible and effective in increasing student motivation and learning outcomes.     The integration of interdisciplinary knowledge in science learning provides students with opportunities to understand the connections between various scientific concepts and other disciplines. This study aims to describe teachers’ understanding of interdisciplinary knowledge integration in science learning and their ability to implement this approach at MTs Muhammadiyah Wuring. This study adopts a qualitative approach using a case study design, with data gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that science teachers have made efforts to incorporate multiple disciplines into their lessons, such as connecting the biology topic of the nervous system with physics and chemistry, as well as relating electrical concepts to religious studies. However, challenges such as limited teacher knowledge in other disciplines, insufficient planning time, and a lack of professional training hinder effective interdisciplinary learning implementation. To address these challenges, collaboration among teachers from different academic backgrounds and the application of problem-based learning (PBL) have proven effective in enhancing students’ comprehension and critical thinking skills. Therefore, providing professional training and designing a more flexible curriculum are essential to optimizing interdisciplinary-based integrated science learning

    This activity was organized with the aim of introducing the concept of renewable energy, particularly solar energy, to students of SMP Baitul Hikmah through the assembly of solar-powered toy cars. The program was designed to raise students' awareness of the importance of environmentally friendly energy while also enhancing their critical thinking skills and creativity in applying theory to practice. Throughout the activity, students actively participated in the assembly process and encountered various technical challenges that encouraged them to find solutions independently. As a result, the activity demonstrated an improvement in students' understanding of solar energy as well as the development of their creativity in completing assigned tasks

    Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Kolaboratif untuk Meningkatkan Kompetensi Guru Calon dalam Program PPG

    The Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) has an important role in improving the competency of prospective teachers to meet professional demands. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the collaborative learning (CL) model in improving the competency of Pre-Service Teacher Education students during Field Experience Practices (PPL). The CL model implemented integrates three main approaches: co-teaching, coaching, and consulting, involving students, tutors (GP), and field supervisors (DPL) in one collaborative team. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a classroom action approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and questionnaires before and after implementing the model. The research results showed a significant increase in students' pedagogical, personality, professional and social competencies. The implementation of the collaborative model succeeded in increasing the average score of students' pedagogical abilities from 3.08 to 3.86. Additionally, 80% of students reported increased self-confidence and interpersonal skills. In terms of classroom management, 80% of students were able to create an active learning atmosphere after the program. Improvements in social skills were also visible, with the average score increasing from 3.5 to 4.2, reflecting students' ability to share ideas and collaborate.     Measuring the impact of ChatGPT in enhancing number sense acquisition: A mixed-method study

    The effectiveness of ChatGPT in enhancing mathematics learning outcomes for students remains a topic of debate despite its growing application in educational settings. This study seeks to assess the impact of ChatGPT on students' understanding of number concepts in mathematics, particularly for 7th-grade junior high school students, by employing a combination of classroom experiments and a control group while gathering students' perspectives on its use. In a mixed-method approach, the quantitative findings indicate that ChatGPT usage does not significantly improve students' academic performance in number concepts. However, qualitative insights from the classroom experiments reveal that students perceived several benefits, such as increased efficiency in studying, better comprehension of number-related problems, enhanced accuracy in solving problems, and assistance in overcoming learning challenges. While ChatGPT did not directly affect academic outcomes, it was found to be a valuable supplementary tool in the learning process. Based on these findings, this study recommends that educators consider incorporating ChatGPT to complement traditional teaching methods to enhance the overall learning experience of number concepts

    Advancing statistical literacy for prospective teachers: A systematic review of contemporary approaches and best practices

    This study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to explore the development of statistical literacy among prospective teachers, which is crucial in today’s data-driven educational landscape. The review synthesizes findings from 18 selected studies published between 2015 and 2024, focusing on various pedagogical approaches, challenges in implementation, and strategies for enhancing statistical literacy instruction. Current approaches and best practices include inquiry-based learning, real-world data applications, and interactive digital tools. These approaches aim to engage prospective teachers in authentic statistical experiences, which can enhance their ability to teach statistical concepts effectively. The study identifies key themes in statistical literacy education using a comprehensive methodology that includes defining research questions and establishing inclusion and exclusion criteria. Key findings reveal four primary research themes: strategies for teaching statistical literacy, competencies needed for prospective teachers, educational contexts, and the role of technology in statistical learning. The review also identifies significant gaps in the existing literature, particularly related to effective curriculum integration and the specific challenges educators face. This SLR contributes to the ongoing discourse on educational statistical literacy, providing a foundation for future research and practical applications in teacher preparation

    Miskonsepsi merupakan fenomena kesalahan dalam memahami suatu konsep yang telah tertanam dalam diri siswa. Miskonsepsi erat kaitannya dengan proses perkembangan kognitif siswa. Pembelajaran guided inquiry merupakan pembelajaran yang menekankan pada proses perkembangan kognitif melalui kegiatan inkuiri. Ada beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran inkuiri, antara lain demonstrasi dan eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pembelajaran guided inquiry dengan metode demonstrasi dan eksperimen berbantuan PhET Simulation terhadap penurunan miskonsepsi siswa dan membandingkan penurunan miskonsepsi antara keduanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Mojokerto, Jawa Timur pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2013/2014 dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas X-E dan X-G yang masing-masing berjumlah 31 dan 32 siswa. Siswa kelas X-E diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran guided inquiry dengan metode eksperimen dan siswa kelas X-G menggunakan metode demonstrasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes. Instrumen tes yang diberikan diselesaikan dan dianalisis menggunakan Certainty Response Index (CRI) kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji-t dua pihak. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran guided inquiry dengan metode demonstrasi dan eksperimen berbantuan PhET Simulation efektif dalam menurunkan miskonsepsi siswa dan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam menurunkan miskonsepsi di antara keduanya

    Excellent service is a service provided by the government to meet the needs of the community according to applicable regulations. Low quality of service can reduce public trust in the government. This study aims to build a web-based decision support system to assess the performance of the best sub-district offices objectively and transparently. The system development uses a waterfall model, which consists of stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The analysis is carried out by collecting system requirements and determining seven assessment criteria: facilities and infrastructure, accountability, administration, performance, innovation and creativity, information systems, and preservation of customs and culture. At the design stage, use case diagrams and flowcharts are created, while implementation is carried out by building a web-based system that applies the SAW method. Testing is carried out using the black-box method to ensure the system runs well without errors. The results of our findings are in the form of a decision support system that identifies Kisaran Timur District as the district with the best performance, with a score of 0.896. The test results prove that the system functions optimally, transparently, and accurately. With this system, objectivity and transparency in assessing the performance of sub-district offices can be increased. In addition, this system helps the government in identifying superior sub-district offices and those that need improvement in order to improve the quality of public services

    Analisis Spasial Kesesuaian Lahan Permukiman Kabupaten Badung Provinsi Bali

    Kabupaten Badung merupakan Kabupaten di Provinsi Bali yang mengalami pertumbuhan urbanisasi yang pesat. Pada tahun 2023, Kabupaten Badung memiliki jumlah penduduk sebanyak 530,23 ribu jiwa dengan mayoritas penduduk usia produktif. Karena masifnya pertumbuhan penduduk yang diakibatkan oleh urbanisasi, maka menyebabkan meningkatnya kebutuhan lahan. Kebutuhan lahan yang mengalami peningkatan adalah kebutuhan lahan untuk permukiman dan aktivitas perkotaan dengan luas wilayah 418,52 km2. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian lahan permukiman di Kabupaten Badung dengan melibatkan beberapa faktor fisik wilayah dan Rencana Detail Tata Ruang (RDTR) Kabupaten Badung, Bali. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pembobotan skoring untuk menghasilkan peta kesesuaian lahan permukiman berdasarkan parameter fisik seperti jenis tanah, kemiringan lereng, curah hujan, gerakan tanah, dan kerawanan bencana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lahan permukiman di Kabupaten Badung terbagi menjadi empat kelas kesesuaian yakni, Sangat Sesuai, Sesuai, Kurang Sesuai, dan Tidak Sesuai dengan tingkat kesesuaian lahan permukiman tertinggi adalah kelas Sesuai yang mempunyai luas 17985,267 Ha dengan presentase 45%
