UNDERGROUND CO₂ MINERALIZATION POTENTIAL IN PARANÁ STATE: PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT OF BASALTIC ROCKS FROM SERRA GERAL GROUP
Full text linkThe Paraná Basin’s CO2 geological storage potential is significant due to its coal deposits, saline formations, CO2 emission sources, and pipeline network. Recent interest has shifted to volcanic rocks containing divalent cations, facilitating mineral carbonation. The basin’s volcanic rocks have an estimated CO2 storage capacity of 2,840 Gt and areas of ca. 174,000 km2 in total were identified in different parts of Brazil. The Paraná State, with its vast geological data, is ideal for a detailed assessment, especially in the Serra Geral Group, which covers over half of the state. Using different methodologies, the CO2 storage capacity in this area was estimated between 79 to 654 Gt, with further research required for precise quantification and identification of possible reservoirs for CO2 injection.The Paraná Basin's CO2 geological storage potential is significant due to its coal deposits, saline formations, CO2 emission sources, and pipeline network. GEOMEMÓRIAS: EX SITU GEOCONSERVATION INITIATIVE PROMOTED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF GEOSCIENCES AT THE UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE SANTA MARIA IN CELEBRATION OF THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE GEOGRAPHY PROGRAMS
Full text linkThe year 2025 is significant for the Department of Geosciences at the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, as it marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the university's first Geography program. As a way to contribute to the scheduled celebrations and to leave a long-term legacy, the interactive space Geomemórias is being developed. Soluções de Divergência de Classificação de Mercadorias da RFB sobre Alíquotas de IPI e a Gestão Tributária: uma análise antes e durante a COVID-19
Full text linkO objetivo deste estudo, de modo geral, é analisar o impacto das Soluções de Divergências (SDs) emitidas pela Receita Federal do Brasil (RFB) nos períodos pré-pandêmico e pandêmico, na Gestão Tributária (GT) das empresas. A pesquisa tem abordagem qualitativa, com uso de fontes secundárias, e o método de análise utilizado foi o documental (análise de conteúdo e comparação), caracterizando-se também como exploratório. Aplicou-se uma espécie de censo ao analisar todo o conjunto de SDs de ambos os períodos. Os impactos foram categorizados em positivos, negativos e neutros, considerando a variação das alíquotas do IPI antes e depois da SD, correlacionando-os com os setores econômicos afetados. Foram identificados treze setores industriais abrangidos pelas reformas de classificação analisadas. Os resultados demonstraram que a maior parte dos impactos das reformas de classificação foram neutros em relação à alíquota do IPI, em ambos os períodos analisados. Além de observar um impacto negativo (aumento de alíquota) em aproximadamente um terço das reformas e um impacto positivo em aproximadamente um quinto das reformas no período pré-pandêmico; e um terço no período pandêmico, com aumento dos impactos positivos (redução de alíquota). Portanto, conclui-se que as decisões da RFB sobre as alterações de alíquota do IPI, apesar de em sua maioria ter impacto neutro, afetaram a GT das empresas, tendo em vista as variações dos impactos entre os períodos. Parte das alterações das alíquotas, resultante das SDs, parece representar uma medida da autoridade fiscal para aliviar dificuldades econômicas durante o período de crise da COVID-19.The overall objective of this study is to analyse the impact of the Divergence Solutions (SDs) issued by the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service (RFB) during the pre-pandemic and pandemic periods on corporate Tax Management (GT). The research follows a qualitative approach, utilizing secondary sources, and employs a documentary analysis method (content analysis and comparison), also characterizing it as exploratory. A type of census was applied by analysing the entire set of SDs from both periods. The impacts were categorized as positive, negative, or neutral, considering the variation in IPI tax rates before and after the SDs and correlating them with the affected economic sectors. Thirteen industrial sectors were identified as covered by the classification reforms analysed, and the results demonstrated that most of the classification reform impacts were neutral with respect to the IPI tax rate in both periods. Additionally, a negative impact (rate increase) was observed in approximately one-third of the reforms, while a positive impact was identified in about one-fifth of the reforms during the pre-pandemic period and in one-third during the pandemic period, with an increase in positive impacts (rate reduction). Therefore, it is concluded that the RFB's decisions regarding IPI tax rate adjustments, despite being mostly neutral, affected corporate tax management, given the variations in impacts across periods. Moreover, part of the tax rate adjustments resulting from the SDs seem to reflect a fiscal authority measure aimed at alleviating economic difficulties during the Covid-19 crisis
EDUCAÇÃO ESCOLAR QUILOMBOLA E O CUSTO-ALUNO-QUALIDADE : UM ESTUDO DE CASO
Full text linkA presente dissertação tem por objetivo estimar o custo-aluno de uma escola quilombola, localizada na região Sul do Brasil. Para tanto, essa pesquisa entrelaça reflexões sobre o direito à Educação Escolar Quilombola, considerando o princípio descrito na Constituição Federal de 1988, que assegura o direito à educação, com garantia não só do acesso e de permanência, mas também da oferta com padrão de qualidade. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, na modalidade de estudo de caso. O Colégio investigado foi o Colégio Estadual Quilombola Diogo Ramos, localizado em Adrianópolis, Paraná. O referencial teórico foi composto por autores e pesquisas que dialogam sobre custos educacionais, educação escolar quilombola e financiamento da educação, desenvolvidos principalmente por Benedito Florindo Freitas Junior (2021), Vanessa Goncalves da Rocha (2020), Cassius Marcelus Cruz (2012, 2019), Givânia Maria da Silva (2012), Denise Carreira (2015); Jose Marcelino Rezende Pinto (2007) e Robert Evan Verhine (2006), Nalú Farenzena (2005), entre outras, além do disposto pelas Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Educação Escolar Quilombola. A análise considerou as informações disponíveis no Censo Escolar, Portais da transparência e Sistema de Informações sobre Orçamentos Públicos em Educação (SIOPE) e site da Secretaria Estadual de Educação do Paraná, considerando a Lei Complementar n° 131 de 27 de maio de 2009. Os resultados indicaram que o custo-aluno da escola pesquisada está muito acima do mínimo previsto pelo Fundeb (2022) para as escolas quilombolas (R$ 6.546,30), visto que o valor encontrado é praticamente quatro vezes o estipulado pelo Fundeb para o estado. Fica evidente, também, que o custo mais elevado da escola se deve ao fato de que as escolas do campo, indígenas e quilombolas possuem um número menor de estudantes por turma

Full text linkInternacionalización suele significar en la ciencia: hablar, escribir y publicar en inglés. El Congreso de la Asociación Latinoamericana de Estudios Socioculturales del Deporte (ALESDE), que celebró su novena edición en septiembre 2024, se desarrolló en las lenguas oficiales de sus países miembros: español y portugués. Mientras que ALESDE es un evento poco conocido en Alemania, mi participación en el congreso me permite afirmar que existen numerosos vínculos, paralelos y similitudes entre las comunidades científicas de los estudios sociales del deporte en América Latina y Alemania. En ese sentido, las diferencias funcionan como fuente de inspiración y este texto intenta reponerlas
O infotenimento nas pesquisas em Comunicação: mapeamento dos trabalhos publicados entre 2013 e 2020
Full text linkEste artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar um panorama sobre as pesquisas de infotenimento relacionadas à área da Comunicação e publicadas entre 2013 e 2020. Para isso, foi feito um mapeamento de trabalhos cadastrados no Repositório de Teses e Dissertações da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) e no Portal de Periódicos da mesma instituição. Para alcançar as pesquisas sobre a temática, foi utilizado o mecanismo de busca por meio das seguintes palavras-chaves: Infotenimento e Infoentretenimento, o que resultou em 18 trabalhos. Os resultados do mapeamento apontam que quase a metade dos trabalhos analisam programas televisivos. Além disso, foi identificado também uma baixa produção de pesquisas sobre o tema.Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar una visión general de la investigación en infoentretenimiento relacionada con el área de la Comunicación y publicada entre 2013 y 2020. Para ello, se realizó un mapeo de trabajos registrados en el Repositorio de Tesis y Disertaciones de la Coordinación para la Mejora Personal. Educación (CAPES) y el Portal de Revistas de la misma institución. Para lograr la investigación sobre el tema, se utilizó el motor de búsqueda mediante las siguientes palabras clave: infoentretenimiento e infoentretenimiento, lo que resultó con 18 trabajos. Los resultados del mapeo muestran que casi la mitad de los estudios analizan programas de televisión. Además, también se identificó una baja producción de investigación sobre el tema.This article aims to present an overview of infotainment research related to the Communication area and published between the years 2013 and 2020. For this purpose, a mapping of works registered in the Thesis and Dissertation Repository of the Personal Improvement Coordination was made. Higher Education (CAPES) and in the Journal Portal of the same institution. To achieve research on the theme, the search engine was used by means of the following keywords: Infotainment and Infotainment, which resulted in the composition of a corpus with 18 works. The results of the mapping show that almost half of the studies analyze television programs. In addition, a low production of research on the topic was also identified.
 
As gentes bárbaras no cantar do Valtário (século V)
Full text linkNo contexto das novas configurações políticas e sociais da Antiguidade Tardia, na qual os povos germano-bárbaros exercem grande influência política sob os processos históricos na Europa, ganha importância na historiografia e surge em relevância o estudo de um poema com o de Valtário. O presente trabalho apresenta e discute o cantar, buscando o entendimento das gentes bárbaras na obra e questionando se e como representações presentes nela ilustram os povos bárbaros que existiam na Europa na época apresentada. Por meio do método histórico-filológico, baseando-se tanto no estudo da fonte quanto de referências previamente publicadas e posteriormente do trabalho de Tácito em Germania, o estudo pôde traçar paralelos entre a época de escrita (séculos IX-X), o tempo representado (século V) e o contexto histórico no qual está envolvido o poema, auferindo dele a representação do bárbaro.
In the context of the new political and social configurations of the Late Antiquity, in which the Germanic-barbarian peoples exert significant political influence over the historical processes in Europe, the study of a poem like Waltharius’ arises in relevancy. This work presents and discusses it, exploring the understanding of barbaric peoples within the epic and questioning whether and how the representations picture the barbaric folk living in Europe during the depicted time. Through the historical-philological method, based on both the study of the source material and the bibliographical references previously published, as well as Tacitus’ Germania, the study was able to delineate parallels between the period of writing (9th-10th centuries), the time portrayed (5th century), and the historical context in which the poem is situated, revealing its representation of the barbarian.
