PRÁTICA ASSISTENCIAL-EDUCATIVA DE ENFERMAGEM COM O AGENTE COMUNITÁRIO DE SAÚDE NUMA PERSPECTIVA TRANSCULTURAL
Full text linkO Programa de Agentes Comunitários de Saúde é um tema emergente para a enfermagem. Faz-se necessária a sua discussão, uma vez que a capacitação dos Agentes Comunitários de Saúde (ACS) foi delegada ao enfermeiro. Este estudo relata as atividades desenvolvidas durante a disciplina da Prática Assistencial do mestrado em Assistência de Enfermagem da UFSC. Foi desenvolvido junto a um grupo de sete ACS do município de Lajeado, RS. Os objetivos visavam conhecer as crenças e valores praticados na comunidade pelos ACS em relação à saúde, bem como relacioná-las à aprendizagem obtida em sua capacitação, conhecendo, assim, as dificuldades encontradas pelos mesmos para implementar as orientações recebidas do enfermeiro, através do acompanhamento das atividades exercidas por eles em visitas domiciliares, mutirões e encontros para capacitação. Para tanto, este estudo apoiou-se na teoria de Madeleine Leininger, ao levar em conta a universalidade e diversidade cultural existente no cuidado e na proposta de educação popular transformadora de Paulo Freire. Desta forma o estudo demonstrou a necessidade do enfermeiro estar consciente do papel que desempenha frente ao PACS. Os ACS desempenham as atividades propostas, apresentando algumas dificuldades, mas abrem caminho para a atuação do enfermeiro e demais membros da equipe de saúde, por evidenciarem as necessidades de saúde existentes na comunidade.The Program of Health Communitarian Agents (PACS) is an emerging subject for nursing. Its discussion is necessary once the Health Communitarian Agents (ACS) training was delegated to the nurse. This study accounts the activities developed during the practice of social work of the MA of nursing at the UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina). It was developed with a group of seven ACS at Lajeado, RS. The aimvas to know the beliefs and values of the ACS in regarding health, as well as the relation of these beliefs and values to the knowledge they obtained in their training. Thus we will know the difficulties faced by them to perform the directions received from the nurse by attending the activities carried out by them in home visits, group works, and training meetings. So this study has been grounded on Madeleine Leininger’s presuppositions of cultural universality and diversity in the care, and on Paulo Freire’s proposal of a transforming popular education. In this way the study has shown the necessity for the nurse to be conscious of the role s/he has in the PACS. The ACS, on their turn, perform the activities they have been meant to with some difficulties. However, they help the nurse and other members of the health team as they evince the health demand in the community
LEAVING A PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL: THE IMPACT OF THE “OUT-OF-THE-WALL” EXPERIENCE
Full text linkOne of the challenges to Mental Health in this new millenium is the deconstruction of traditional psychiatric hospitals, which will have to take into account the large number of people who still live in them. Currently, the City of Ribeirão Preto – SP has a diversified and consolidated care system characterized by substitutive services for the mental-hospital model, namely: the Psychosocial Care Center (NAPS), Psychosocial Care Center for Drug-Addicts (NAPS F), Regional Mental Health Outpatient Clinic (services provided by the City Administration); Psychiatric Emergency Unit, General Hospital’s Psychiatric Ward, Day-Hospital (services belonging to the University Hospital of the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto Faculty of Medicine) in addition to the Protected Home Program. The latter has been developed since 1992 by a large psychiatric hospital in that city and seeks to re-include patients into the community. This study aims at discussing access to citizenship, which is the base of such program assisting a group of patients. By means of home visits, the experience of three female patients outside the walls of a mental hospital was followed. These three patients lived in one of the protected homes in the Program and, during the study, their difficulties concerning relationships as well as those related to coping with daily situations and re-hospitalizations were detected. By taking such findings as the object of our reflections, it was possible to conclude that such clients need some type of support which, Mental Health professionals can provide by being aware of the fact that they must re-consider o their intervention practice.Um dos desafios deste novo milênio, para Saúde Mental, é a desconstrução dos hospitais psiquiátricos tradicionais, considerando-se a grande população de pessoas que ainda vive em seu interior. Hoje, a cidade de Ribeirão Preto -SP possui uma rede de atenção diversificada e consolidada de serviços substitutivos do modelo manicomial: Núcleo de Atenção Psicossocial (NAPS), Núcleo de Atenção Psicossocial para Fármaco-Dependentes (NAPS F), Ambulatório Regional de Saúde Mental (serviços ligados a prefeitura); Unidade de Emergência Psiquiátrica, Enfermaria Psiquiátrica em Hospital Geral, Hospital-Dia (serviços pertencentes ao Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto-USP), além de um Programa de Pensão Protegida. Este último vem sendo desenvolvido desde 1992, por um hospital psiquiátrico de grande porte, desta cidade, que tem por objetivo a reinserção do paciente na comunidade. Pretendemos, neste estudo, discutir o acesso à cidadania, pano de fundo deste Programa, no qual um grupo de doentes está inserido. Através de visita domiciliar para acompanhamento da convivência “extra-muros” de três pacientes do sexo feminino, que residem em uma dessas pensões, detectamos dificuldades de relacionamento, de enfrentamento das situações diárias e reinternações. Tomando estes achados como objeto de reflexões, foi possível concluirmos que esta clientela necessita de algum tipo de suporte, o qual os profissionais da saúde mental podem oferecer, tendo consciência de que precisam repensar sua prática de intervenção
ETHICAL REFLECTIONS OF PROFESSIONAL NURSE IN CARE THE CHILDREN
Full text linkO objetivo deste estudo é refletir sobre a ética do cuidado à criança na sua totalidade. Essa ética deve estar fundamentada na competência do enfermeiro do saber/fazer. Nesse sentido, cabe ao enfermeiro refletir sobre o agir ético, atitudes e qualidades humanas no cuidado à criança, considerando a importante relação entre o cuidar ético e as necessidades da criança e de sua família.The objetive of this study is to reflecting about the ethics in care of the child in his entery. This ethics has to be well-founded on the nurse’s ability of knowing/doing. On this way, the nurse has refleting about ethics, attitude and humans quality in the care of the child, considering the important report between the ethic care and the necessity of child and his family
