Potency of Ethanol Extract Celery (Apium graveolens L.) Stalk as Anti-Cholesterol
Get PDFIncreasing levels of blood cholesterol is one of the risk factors for atherosclerosis. Currently, experts have been trying used herbal medicine as an alternative treatment of atherosclerosis. One of the highlights is the use of celery stalks. Celery is generally used as a flavouring dish. In addition, celery stalks are believed able to reduce cholesterol levels because they contain flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. This study was aim to determine the effect of celery stalk ethanol extract to reduce LDL an increase of HDL level in rats after fed high-fat diet. Randomized Post Test Only Control Group Design was used to measure the HDL and LDL blood serum levels of male Wistar (Rattus norvegicus) rats fed a high-fat diet. This study was used 27 male Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) divided into 3 groups; K1 was only given regular feed and water, K2 was given a high-fat diet and water, K3 was given a high-fat diet and celery stalk extract at a dose of 75mg/kg BW/day for 14 days. The data were analysed by ANOVA test and Tukey HSD test. The results of the ANOVA test showed a significance value of p-value of LDL = 0.000 and HDL p-value = 0.536. Celery stalk extract (Apium graviolens L) had an effect on decreasing LDL levels but not on increasing HDL blood serum levels of white Wistar rats (Rattus norvegicus) given high-fat diet

Kedua, stress psikologi akut merangsang leukositosis, meningkatkan sitotoksisitas sel NK danmengurangi respons proliferasi mitogen ketika stress psikologi kronik mungkin merangsang efek burukkesehatan. Ini akan menghasilkan perubahan dalam fungsi kardiovaskuler dan perkembangan CAD. Penelitian sampel 32 orang dewasa tikus putih jantan yang dibagimenjadi 4 kelompok secara acak, dan masing-masing kelompok dirawat selama 52 hari. K1: kelompokkontrol mendapatkan aquadest 3 ml / hari makan lisan, P1: kelompok perlakuan dengan makan jellykerajaan lisan 15 mg / kgBB / hari, P2: kelompok perlakuan dengan makan jelly kerajaan lisan 30 mg /kgBB / hari dan P3: kelompok perlakuan dengan makan royal jelly 45 mg lisan / kgBB / hari. Semuadata-data dianalisis menggunakan Anova menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara semuaperlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Indonesia entrepreneurial growth is still very low and influenced by the lack of intellectual and psychological capital to open new businesses. One of the things that’s hinders entrepreneurial growth is the issue of gender, where women are often placed only as someone who helps their husbands and the family economy. To find out and explain these problems, this study conducted an ANOVA test between female and male students on intellectual and psychological capital ownership in entrepreneurship. This study found that there were no significant differences between women and men, the only difference is the value of entrepreneurship and organization networking. For women entrepreneurs, the high values of entrepreneurship and the existence of a good organizational network will determine their triumph and success. It is hoped that this research could provide insight for college students to develop their activities of entrepreneurial spirits

Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to analyze internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) as well as to analyze the strategy of developing oyster mushroom business in Wadungasih village, Buduran district, Sidoarjo regency. The research method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data analysis method uses SWOT analysis by identifying the evaluation of internal factors (IFE) and identification of external factor evaluations (EFE), then determining the right strategy through the SWOT matrix. From the results of the study, it was found that the internal factors in the development of the oyster mushroom business are having a permanent consumer market, there are main distributors, competitive prices, quality and nutritious products, being able to produce and process their own products, daily harvests, the amount of production that has not been able to meet demand, unattractive packaging, the product does not last long. On external factors, there are vegetarian consumers followed by high purchasing power, the need for raw materials for oyster mushrooms in various culinary varieties, demand for oyster mushrooms directed at education, baglog waste that can be recycled. climatic and weather factors, threats of pests and diseases on oyster mushrooms, price increases for shipping services, local government policies on oyster mushroom farmers. The strategy for developing the oyster mushroom business is in quadrant I so that the right SO strategy to be implemented can be done with the high consumption of mushroom raw materials and a wide variety of culinary opportunities to be one of the market opportunities by using them as regular consumers. consistent in retaining consumers, improving the image of good service to consumers, innovating products.Keywords: Mushrooms, Development Strategy, SWOT

Get PDFThe culture of drinking coffee is not only a consumption activity, but also a reflection of prestige, celebration of consumerism, and ideology. The large consumption of coffee has increased the market share of selling coffee beans or finished products. Coffee is becoming increasingly popular and tends to have price classes and packaging. So far, there is no alternative for someone to brew pure coffee from processed beans directly. This research focuses on the Jaringan Warkop Nusantara (JWN) which initiates the establishment of a supply network starting from coffee beans produced by farmers and sharing free barista training. Other studies refer to the aesthetics of interior design and the concept of traditional coffee culture. So, the research takes the specifications of the JWN organizational group and their working mechanism in concocting quality selected coffee, as well as how to form an educational network for warkop traders so that they can also popularize coffee from pure beans. This research method uses a qualitative approach. The findings of this study indicate that there is an upapa JWN in de-industrialization through coffee consumption activities from warkop. JWN even uses the warkop network as a means of supplying rural coffee farmers who often get less than the maximum selling price.Keywords: Coffee, Jaringan Warkop Nusantara, Dependence, Market, Authenticit
