Upaya Meningkatkan Keaktifan Belajar Peserta Didik Melalui Model Discovery Learning Berbantuan Media Pembelajaran
In the learning process, the active learning of students is important to create meaningful and learner-centered learning by activities. Active students will find it easier to understand learning material because they experience learning directly so that they can achieve optimal learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the increase in student learning activeness through the implementation of the discovery learning model assisted by instructional media in Pancasila education subjects in class IV SDN 19 Jambi City. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in 2 cycles. In this study, researchers used observation sheets as research instruments. The observation sheet used consists of several assessment indicators that can measure the learning activeness of students. The results showed that the discovery learning model assisted by instructional media could increase the learning activeness of students, in cycle 1 there was a frequency of 12 active students with a percentage of 57.24%. Then in cycle 2 the frequency increased to 17 students with a percentage reaching 81.09%. So it can be seen that the frequency of students increased from 12 to 17 students. Based on the observation results, it can also be seen that students have high enthusiasm to be actively involved in learning activities. Routine hematology description and D-dimer COVID-19 patients at Sidoarjo Regional Hospital
Background: COVID-19, caused by the SARS-COV-2 virus, is a contagious and potentially fatal disease that is commonly diagnosed using real-time reverse polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) assay. Studies have shown that the D-dimer level and the features of hematological exams can offer important prognostic value of the patients. This study aimed to describe data about the routine hematology features and D-Dimer levels of hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Sidoarjo Regional Hospital. Methods: This study used a retrospective, cross sectional, observational approach with descriptive analysis. Medical records of 167 COVID-19 patient were collected based on the criteria. The outcomes of the D-dimer and complete blood count of the patients were summarized. Results: According to the findings, the number of the patients with COVID-19, 53 (31.7%) were between the ages of 31 and 35, and at least 36 (21.6%) were between the ages of 17 and 30. Prominent hematology routine outcomes were the number of patients with anemia (103 or 61.7%), neutrophilia (105 or 62.9%), and lymphocytopenia (129 or 77.2%). The D-dimer value increased by 93 (55.7%) patients among 167 COVID-19 patients. Conclusion: Therefore, monitoring the patient's routine hematological presentation and D-dimer level during treatment is essential for preventing mortality and morbidity
Delayed Diagnosis of Volvulus without Complications in Pediatric Patient : A Case Report
Introduction: Volvulus in children is rare occurrence, it’s only about 3-5% cases in worldwide. Without abdominal radiological examination, it is difficult to make diagnosis of volvulus based on history and physical examination alone. The management procedures are also controversial, as some recommend a non-operative approach, while others recommend an operative approach in the form of Ladd's Procedure or laparoscopy. Sigmoidoscopy or a barium enema can be attempted as an initial treatment for sigmoid volvulus. Objective: The purpose of this case report is to discuss why there was a delay in diagnosis of volvulus in this case and how to deal it. It also discusses the approach to diagnosis and management of volvulus in pediatric patients, both at the primary health center and the hospital, and why in this case. Case presentation: In this case, volvulus occurred in a pediatric patient who had sought treatment at a primary health center with a complaint of abdominal pain for nine days without improvement. The complaint was accompanied with constipation and fever. Due to limited facilities in primary health center, the patient was referred to the hospital. Result: At the hospital, after taking the history, performing physical examination, and conducting radiological examination and laboratory tests, the patient was diagnosed with ileus obstruction due to volvulus. Conclusion: Although volvulus is a rare case, volvulus should still be included as a differential diagnosis of abdominal pain in pediatric patients to avoid delayed diagnosis. Delay in diagnosis and management of volvulus can lead to serious complications and even life-threatening condition
Terror Death of Election Officials: What Are the Effects of Stress and Hypoxia?: A Literature Review
Background: This essay examines the most recent news, namely the passing of a voting committee member (PPS) in the general election (Pemilu), which included candidates for president, vice president, and legislature (Caleg). PPS saw 35 fatalities and 3.909 illnesses. Given that the counting and recapitulation process is still in progress, the likelihood of deaths and illnesses will only rise. Objective: The aim of this research is to find the relationship between hypoxia and stress in PPS officers who died due to physical exhaustion during election activities in Indonesia Methods: Articles containing information on hypoxia, comorbidity, stress, physical exhaustion, and its connection to death were included as inclusion criteria. There was a total of 25 papers that met the inclusion criteria after the literature analysis procedure was completed. Result: Along with the comorbid status, physical exhaustion, and stress play a significant part (comorbidities). This connection arises from the fact that physical exhaustion and stress induce hypoxia, which in turn affects immunity. The drop in blood oxygen levels, or hypoxia, disrupts and dysregulates the innate and adaptive immune systems. The chance of dying can rise when hypoxia and ongoing stress are present. Writing this paper proposes more investigation into the role that hypoxia and stress play as death risk factors. Conclusion: Hypoxia results from stress. what makes HIF the primary transcription factor active. When PPS officers activate their HIF in order to fulfill their mandate and fulfill their obligations under Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections, there is an elevated risk of death and morbidity
