Perkembangan pada Anak menurut Santrock
Perkembangan dan faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangan serta melihat bagaimana ciri-ciri dan prinsip perkembangan secara menyeluruh terkhusus dari ahli Santrock guna merencanakan dengan baik agar dapat mengembangkan potensi perkembangan secara optimal. Setiap makhluk hidup tentu mengalami perkembangan dari ia lahir hingga dewasa. Sesuai dengan teori Santrock yang menyebutkan Life Span atau teori perkembangan hidup bahwasannya manusia terus berkembang dari masa bayi hingga masa dewasa. Tahapan perkembangan menurut Santrock diklasifikasikan menjadi 8 tahapan. Yaitu masa tahap bayi dalam kandungan, masa bayi sampai 24 bulan, tahap awal anak-anak awal yakni dengan rentang usia 3-5 tahun, tahapan kanak-kanak rentang usia 6-11 tahun, tahapan kelima adalah tahap remaja usia 10-21 tahun, remaja awal usia rentang 20-30 tahun, tahap terakhir ada dewasa akhir atau lansia. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja isi dari teori perkembangan anak menurut Santrock dan dapat menjadi bahan literasi bagi pembaca dan penulis. Pada penulisan artikel ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian studi kepustakaan atau disebut juga dengan (library research) yakni kegiatan mengenai pengumpulan data pustaka. Perkembangan menurut Santrock sendiri menunjukkan bahwa perubahan fungsi struktural dalam diri manusia mengalami peningkatan dan dapat diramalkan dari perkembangan satu ke perkembangan selanjutnya
PERUBAHAN DAMPAK INOVASI SOSIAL RANU LESTARI SEBAGAI UPAYA PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DARI PT PLN INDONESIA POWER UBP GRATI
Ranu Grati merupakan suatu ekosistem akuatik alami yang terbentuk sebagai hasil dari proses vulkanik, dan secara geografis terletak dalam kawasan morfotektonik tapal kuda vulkanik di wilayah Jawa Timur. Berdasarkan karakteristik geomorfologisnya, danau ini merepresentasikan bentuk lanskap geologi yang tergolong muda secara usia pembentukan, sekaligus menjadi elemen khas dalam struktur geologis regional. Fungsi ekologis Ranu Grati sangat signifikan, khususnya sebagai sumber utama air tawar yang mendukung sistem budidaya perikanan melalui model karamba jaring apung—yang secara ekonomi menjadi tumpuan penghidupan masyarakat lokal. Selain itu, danau ini memainkan peran strategis dalam menyediakan air irigasi untuk sektor pertanian serta memenuhi kebutuhan air bersih bagi tiga desa yang berada di sekitarnya. Pola pemanfaatan sumber daya air Ranu Grati bersifat multifungsi dan mencerminkan keterhubungan antara aspek ekologis, sosial, ekonomi, serta budaya komunitas lokal. Kawasan danau juga menjadi lokasi berlangsungnya beragam aktivitas, mulai dari perikanan tangkap dan budidaya, pelatihan olahraga air, hingga kegiatan latihan militer. Namun demikian, intensitas tekanan antropogenik di sekitar kawasan danau telah memicu degradasi kualitas perairan dan ketidakseimbangan ekosistem. Berbagai bentuk pencemaran, termasuk limbah domestik, residu industri, serta akumulasi logam berat, menimbulkan ancaman nyata terhadap keberlanjutan fungsi ekologis danau. Temuan ilmiah menunjukkan bahwa beberapa zona dalam danau telah berada pada kondisi eutrofik dan terklasifikasi sebagai perairan tercemar sedang, yang berdampak terhadap kesehatan organisme akuatik. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya pengelolaan dan konservasi secara berkelanjutan sebagai langkah strategis untuk menjaga keberlangsungan fungsi ekologis, sosial, dan ekonomi Ranu Grati dalam jangka panjang
Learning design for translation materials based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) principles using the snakes and ladders game
This study aimed to design a learning activity for the concept of translation using the Realistic Mathematics Education approach, incorporating the Snakes and Ladders game context. This context was chosen for its familiarity with students, making it an effective bridge to understanding the abstract concept of translation. This type of research was design research, specifically a validation studies, comprising the stages of preparation, design experimentation, and retrospective analysis. The research sample involved 16 students from Al Fatah Madrasah Aliyah Palembang, Grade XI, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results demonstrated that the context of the Snakes and Ladders game effectively facilitated students' understanding of translation through exploration activities, sketch modelling, and mapping on the Cartesian coordinate plane. Students could identify patterns and formulate the translation rule formally with minimal guidance. This study highlights that integrating game-based contexts within the RME approach can create meaningful learning experiences while enhancing students' comprehension of abstract mathematical concepts
Analisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan analitik dalam memecahkan masalah perbandingan
Pendidikan matematika di sekolah bertujuan tidak hanya untuk mengajarkan rumus, tetapi juga untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, seperti berpikir kreatif dan analitik. Keterampilan ini sangat penting dalam memecahkan masalah matematika, khususnya pada materi perbandingan yang diajarkan di kelas VII Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana peserta didik dapat mengaplikasikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan analitik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal perbandingan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan tiga peserta didik kelas VII SMP yang dipilih berdasarkan kemampuan matematika menengah hingga tinggi. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes tertulis, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi hasil kerja siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing peserta didik menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir analitik dan kreatif yang berbeda dalam menyelesaikan masalah perbandingan. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kedua keterampilan tersebut dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah
EFL Learners’ Self-Efficacy and Learning Strategies in The Learning English
The purposes of this research were (1) to investigate the self-efficacy level and learning strategies of EFL Learners in the learning English at English Education Department of Mulawarman University of Samarinda; (2) to investigate the kind of learning strategies of EFL Learners in the learning English at English Education Department of Mulawarman University of Samarinda; (3) to investigate the correlation between self-efficacy level and learning strategies of EFL Learners in the learning English at English Education Department of Mulawarman University of Samarinda. This research utilized correlation research. The researcher took 100 students in sixth semester at English Education Department of Mulawarman University of Samarinda as the sample in this research. The researcher used a questionnaire as an instrument in this research. The result of this research showed that most of students or 73 (73%) of students had High criteria of self efficacy in learning English speaking. While 8 (8%) of the students had Highest criteria. Therefore, 18 (18%) of the students had Average criteria. Then, one of the students (1%) had lowest criteria. In addition, no one had low criteria. It means that most of the students had High level of self efficacy in learning English speaking. According to result of spearman correlation, the correlation coefficient obtained was 0.167, which means that correlation between learning strategies and self-efficacy have a week correlation, it can be concluded that the relationship between learning strategies and self-efficacy were extremely weak. This also evidenced by the significant value of spearman correlation obtained 0.098 was higher than 0.05 which means that there is no significant correlation between learning strategies and self-efficacy of EFL Learners in English at English Education Department of Mulawarman University of Samarinda
Exploring The Association Between Learners' Academic Self-Concept and Academic Achievement In The English Subject
Academic achievement is significantly influenced by the cognitive and emotional involvement of students in their learning experiences, which are motivated by factors including academic self-concept. The purpose of this study is to elaborate the significant association of learners’ academic self-concept and academic achievement in the English subject. This research used quantitative data approach and analysis of Product-Moment according to Karl Pearson. There were two variables, namely academic self-concept (X), and Academic achievement (Y). There were 177 samples of this research out of 317 population gotten from simple random sampling. The value of the correlation between academic self-concept and academic achievement was 0.646 r-table (0.001) and the p-value was 0.001 lower than the significance level 0.05. Academic Self-Concept was in the high category because 68% out of samples got 67-82 and categorized as the high. More than 80% samples got scores 70-100 and the Academic Achievement categorized as the very high achievement. There was a significant positive correlation in a strong category between academic self-concept and academic achievement. It is because the higher and lower the score of Academic Self-Concept, the higher and lower the score of Academic Achievement and vice versa
EFL Pre-service Teachers' Perceptions towards Digital Academic Reading
E-learning has increasingly focused on improving digital reading skills and developing an efficient digital reading mode as digital reading becomes more prevalent. This study explored students' perceptions of digital academic reading in e-learning, focusing on enhancing digital reading competency and establishing an effective reading mode. Using a qualitative research approach defined by Creswell (2014), the study targeted 2019 A English Department students at Mulawarman University. From a questionnaire, nine participants were selected for interviews. Findings indicated that all participants had positive attitudes toward digital academic reading, with an average questionnaire score of 80.6. Most preferred digital reading over printed materials, particularly in the EFL (English as a Foreign Language) context at higher education levels. The advantages of digital reading included accessibility, practicality, versatility, portability, lighting independence, and reduced sleepiness. However, disadvantages such as reliance on the internet and battery life, notification distractions, and eye strain were noted. Despite some drawbacks, the study concluded that digital academic reading was highly effective for higher-education EFL students. These insights contributed to developing more efficient digital reading strategies in e-learning environments
Indonesian EFL Students’ Views on Short-form Video Language Learning
This study explored how Indonesian EFL students with different levels of short-form video (SFV) consumption perceived its impact on their English language proficiency. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, three participants were selected based on their daily duration of English-language SFV usage. Data were collected through interviews, 7-day learning logs, and reflective journals. Findings indicated that all participants reported improvements in listening, speaking, and vocabulary, particularly through repeated exposure to authentic speech and mimicry. However, reading and writing development remained limited. Crucially, the study found that the quality of engagement—such as intentional mimicry, vocabulary tracking, and content curation—was more influential than the amount of time spent watching. Participants who used SFVs strategically experienced greater gains than those who consumed them passively. Additionally, attention span and distraction emerged as factors affecting learning depth, especially in high-exposure contexts. The study concluded that SFVs can support informal language learning when used purposefully and in moderation
Analisis Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Perempuan: Sebuah Studi Kualitatif
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepemimpinan kepala sekolah perempuan di salah satu SMP Negeri di Mimika berdasarkan enam indikator, yaitu the mother (keibuan); the pet (kesayangan/kekeluargaan); the seductress (penyemangat); the iron maiden (wanita besi/tegas); pendekatan mengajak bawahan untuk ikut maju berkembang dalam pemikiran; dan pemimpin ikut terjun melaksanakan tugas agar mencapai tujuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskripsi kualitatif rancangan studi kasus. Objek penelitiannya adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, ketua komite, dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data, yaitu observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumen. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dan pengecekan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data dengan teknik kredibilitas melalui triangulasi sumber, teknik, waktu, serta meningkatkan kecermatan penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dalam kepemimpinannya, kepala sekolah perempuan mempunyai enam indikator kepemimpinan seorang perempuan dalam melakukan tugasnya sebagai kepala sekolah
Peningkatan Keterampilan Pembelajaran IPA Guru SD se-Kecamatan Long Mesangat, Kabupaten Kutai Timur
Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pembelajaran guru Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Kecamatan Long Mesangat, Kabupaten Kutai Timur, dalam mengajar mata pelajaran IPA melalui eksperimen sederhana. Masalah utama yang dihadapi adalah minimnya metode pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen yang menyebabkan pembelajaran IPA cenderung teoretis dan kurang menarik. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 25 guru SD, menggunakan metode penyampaian materi teoretis, demonstrasi, dan praktik eksperimen sederhana, seperti percobaan replikasi angin, konsep katrol, rangkaian listrik seri dan paralel, perambatan bunyi, siklus air, dan pembiasan cahaya. Evaluasi melalui kuesioner dan uji tes proporsional menunjukkan bahwa 80% peserta mengalami peningkatan kemampuan yang signifikan pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Kegiatan ini diharapkan memberikan dampak jangka panjang dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA di daerah terpencil melalui pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menarik
