The Possibility of Forest Landscape Evaluation by a Machine Learning Tool Using an Omnidirectional Image
Get PDFpdfThe possibility of forest landscape evaluation was explored using a 360-degree omnidirectional image and an AI-based image classifier, Microsoft Lobe. An omnidirectional image, which contains broader information than that in ordinary images, was divided by direction and converted into ordinary images for analysis by the classifier. The classifier had learned to classify images into two categories: conifer tree forest-like landscapes and hardwood forest-like landscapes. A survey of guidance to nursing students about appearance and uniforms
Get PDFpdf《目的》看護系大学の看護基礎教育で、ユニフォーム着用を含む身だしなみを、どのような視点で指導をしているのかを明らかにする。
《方法》日本看護系大学265校で学生のユニフォーム着用時の身だしなみの指導をしている看護学領域責任者265名を対象に質問紙調査を実施した。
《結果》回収率は、30.0％であり、所属大学種別は、私立大学が68.8％、公立大学法人が16.2％、国立大学法人が15.0％であった。指導領域は、82.5％が基礎看護学領域であった。身だしなみのチェックリストの使用は、全体の42.5％であり、教員の身だしなみの指導で重要視した項目は、外見的にも清潔感がある、安全への配慮がされている、機能的であるの順であった。
《結論》指導ポイント項目の「機能的である」とチェックリスト項目の「頭髪の髪色、頬に髪が触れない（サイド）、襟に髪がつく」の3項目に有意差がみられた（p＜0.05）。これらは、教員が指導をする上で重要視している項目であることが示唆された。Objective: To identify the perspectives that inform instruction on grooming and personal appearance, including uniforms, in basic nursing education at nursing colleges.
Method: A questionnaire concerning the teaching of grooming, personal appearance, and donning of uniforms to students was sent to 265 supervisors of nursing instruction at 265 Japanese nursing colleges.
Results: The survey response rate was 30.0%, with 68.8% of the responses coming from private universities, 16.2% from public universities, and 15.0% from national universities. In 82.5% of the surveys, a question about “area of instruction” drew a response of “basic nursing.” Overall, 42.5% of the institutions used a personal appearance checklist, and in teaching about grooming and personal appearance, instructors placed the greatest importance on outward cleanliness, safety considerations, and functionality, in that order.
Conclusions: Significant differences （p＜0.05） were observed between the instruction point “Functional” and the three checkpoints “Hair color,” “Hair not touching the cheeks （sides）,” and “Hair on the collar.” Those observations suggest the importance that instructors place on those checkpoints in their teaching.departmental bulletin pape
Protected animal cruelty and psychological characteristics of abusers: Focusing on aggression and estimation of animals’ emotion
Get PDFpdf本研究では，インターネットを介した自己記入式の質問紙調査を実施し，動物虐待とその加害者の心理学的特性について検討した。調査に際しては，動物虐待経験に関する尺度（例．「どの程度家庭内の動物を「たたく，ぶつ，殴る」といった経験があるか」），日本語版Buss-Perry攻撃性質問紙（例．「なぐられたら，なぐり返すと思う」），動物が持つ基本感情に関する認識についての尺度（例．「あなたはどの程度動物が「悲しみ」という感情を持っていると思いますか」）を用いた。調査の回答者のうち，愛護動物を飼育した経験がある324名の男性および184名の女性（平均年齢51.7歳，標準偏差14.6歳）を分析対象とした。ベイズ推定を用いた順序ロジスティック回帰分析を行った結果によると，身体的攻撃と短気といった二つの攻撃性因子にかかる得点が高いほど，また言語的攻撃にかかる得点が低いほど，飼い主の動物虐待の頻度や多様性が増すことが示唆された。ただし，それらの関係性は弱いものであった。加えて，飼い主が動物は不快感情を持っていると認識しているほど，動物虐待の頻度や多様性が増すことが示唆された。An Internet-based, self-administered questionnaire survey investigated animal cruelty and the psychological characteristics of offenders. The questionnaires were composed of several scales: animal abuse (e.g., "How many times have you hit the animal at home?"), the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire (e.g., "If somebody hits me, I hit back"; Buss & Perry, 1992), and estimation of animal's basic emotions (e.g., "How much do you think that the animals feel sad?"). Participants with experience in rearing protected animals (N = 508, 324 men and 184 women; Mean Age = 51.7 years, SD = 14.6) were analyzed. The responses were analyzed using ordinal logistic regression analysis with Bayesian inference. The results indicated that animal owners' high aggression scores (i.e., physical aggression and anger) and low verbal aggression scores were associated with high frequency and variation of animal cruelty, although this association was weak. The results also indicated that owners' recognition that animals have negative emotions was associated with a higher frequency and variation of animal cruelty.departmental bulletin pape
Social Factors and Structures of Organizations that Facilitate Job Crafting: a qualitative case study of a venture firm
Get PDFpdf自身の仕事に主体的に変更を加えるジョブ・クラフティングは，従業員が仕事の意味やアイデンティティを変化させ，働きがいや組織の成果を高めることと関連し，自律性が求められる現代において注目すべき概念である。先行研究では，積極的に問題に取り組む活動で説明されるアプローチ型のジョブ・クラフティング行動を促す支持的な文脈が確認されているが，そうした文脈を特徴づける組織の社会的要因とその構造は検討されていない。そこで本研究では，働きがいのある会社づくりを行い社会的にも高い評価を受け，支持的な組織環境と考えられる企業の協力を得て，組織の特徴を社会的要因とその構造の観点から記述することを目的とする。当該企業でジョブ・クラフティング得点が高い3部署の計12名（男性10名，女性2名）を対象に，部署単位でのグループインタビューを実施した。KJ法による統合の結果，当該企業のバリューと行動規範に基づいてジョブ・クラフティングすることで，同僚からポジティブな反応が得られ，持続的な実践を動機づけられやすくなっていることが示された。さらに同僚の望ましいジョブ・クラフティングは向社会的動機と結びつけて評価されやすく，会社が支持的な組織環境であるとの認識の強化に繋がり，ジョブ・クラフティングが促進される可能性が示された。Job crafting, which represents active changes in one's own work, is a noteworthy concept in this age of autonomy. Supportive contexts that encourage approach crafting behaviors have been identified previously, but the social factors and structures of the organizations that characterize these contexts remain unclear. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate relationships among social factors and structures of an organization with a supportive environment. Group interviews were conducted for 12 employees (10 males and 2 females）from three departments with high job crafting scores in the company. Results of KJ method integration showed that job crafting based on the company's values and code of conduct elicits positive reactions from co-workers and is more likely to motivate sustained practice. Furthermore, desirable job crafting by coworkers was more likely to be evaluated in conjunction with prosocial motives, leading to a stronger perception of the company as a supportive organizational environment and, possibly, facilitating job crafting.departmental bulletin pape
