Get PDFpdfThe desire to participate in activities that contribute to society is more prevalent by elderly with low life satisfaction than those with high life satisfaction; however, elderly with low life satisfaction tend to find it difficult to connect this desire to actual action. The present study aimed to investigate reasons for life dissatisfaction, relate each reason to the status of participation in activities that contribute to society, and consider approaches to activity promotion. Workshops to help elderly begin activities and recruitment by the government and other organizations are necessary for stimulating participation in activities that contribute to society. Furthermore, initiatives aimed at resolving the specific life issues that underlie life dissatisfaction should increase the number of elderly able to participate in activities that contribute to society.departmental bulletin pape

Until the first half of the 2000s, various discussions were held on the internationalization of companies centered on developed countries in international business research, but the accumulation of research on research in emerging markets (especially Southeast Asia) of multinational companies is shallow. And the current situation is that there is almost no accumulation of research on the entry of service multinational companies into emerging markets. This paper reviews various studies that have been discussed from the perspective of distance as research to elucidate the internationalization of companies and discusses institution-based views that not only cultural discussions but also isomorphism within the nstitutional environment is important. The Development of Art Education by Yamamoto Kanae in the Showa period
Get PDFpdfYamamoto Kanae was an artist who worked very hard for improving the art education in Japan during the Taisho period and the Showa period. This paper describes the way how he developed his idea of an art education, focusing on the Showa period.
First, Kanae had an experience of studying abroad, which led him to improve the method of Japanese art education. Second, Kanae developed his original idea of the art education, writing some books for children during the Showa period. He thought that creative activities would play important roles in the art education for children. In the arena of the art education, he included some activities of making crafts, studying about natural designs and creating puppet theatres.
Third, Kanae made many artistic materials for children in the Showa period. However, during the Showa period he had a financial collapse and lost his family and friends one after another.
Surely, he was an artist who played significant role in improving Japanese art education while insisting on the important meaning of creative activities for children.departmental bulletin pape
