INCREASING THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT: A MODEL OF BACHELOR\u27S AND MASTER\u27S TRAINING IN NATURAL SCIENCES WITH ENGINEERING THINKING TO INCREASE REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND ACHIEVE SUSTAINABLE GROWTH
Ongoing changes in modern education are focused on ensuring national security and technical sovereignty of many countries around the world. The priorities of training highly qualified engineering personnel for key sectors of the economy – industry, agriculture, construction, transport, and the social sphere – necessitate a qualitative transformation of all levels of the education system to increase the competitiveness of countries in the international arena. In this context, the study examines the problem of training natural science teachers with engineering thinking for the development of the economy and industry of Russia. Using document analysis and an expert survey (assessment), a model for training bachelors and masters of natural sciences with engineering thinking was developed, aimed at increasing the level of regional development of education and achieving sustainable growth. The developed model focuses on integrating natural science, technical, and humanitarian knowledge and establishing their hierarchy, continuity, and complementarity. The priorities of Russian education relate to the creation of a system of continuous advanced engineering education (a combination of preschool, general, higher, and advanced education). Therefore, on the one hand, the developed model aims to train professionals who are ready to implement innovative educational scenarios of engineering pedagogy. On the other hand, the proposed model advances the competitiveness of the educational environment. The proposed model was developed based on the understanding of the development of engineering thinking in natural science teachers as a process consisting of four substantive blocks: the value-meaning block; the cognitive block; the block of regulatory norms; and the creative design block
SOCIALLY TRANSFORMATIVE SUBJECTIVITY IN THE POST-SOVIET RUSSIAN SPACE: ANTHROPOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS
To examine the anthropological foundations of socially transformative subjectivity in the post-Soviet Russian context, and to identify how this subjectivity can preserve and reinforce Russia’s cultural and civilizational identity amid globalization and ideological confrontation. The study adopts a philosophical-anthropological perspective, grounded in historical-logical analysis and comparative methodology. It reflects on Russia\u27s dual position as both a unique civilization and a part of global structures. The author analyzes ideological shifts since the Soviet collapse, incorporating cultural, political, and ethical dimensions of subject formation. This work addresses a rarely studied nexus between national identity, cultural continuity, and individual subjectivity within Russia\u27s post-Soviet transformation. It emphasizes the need for an authentic, culturally-rooted subject capable of countering externally imposed models and resisting pseudo-subjectivity shaped by media and liberal globalization. The idealized post-Soviet “New Russian” subject proved incompatible with Russia’s civilizational code, based on community, solidarity, and cultural rootedness. The failure of liberal individualism led to social disorientation, asocial behavior, and ideological vacuum. The reassertion of patriotic subjectivity, supported by policy changes and cultural education reforms, is presented as essential to restoring national coherence and agency. The paper introduces the concept of “transformative subjectivity” as an anthropological and civilizational tool for navigating modern Russian identity. It contributes to political anthropology, national ideology studies, and cultural sociology by offering a multidimensional framework for understanding subject formation in transitional societies
MODELS OF CIVIL LIABILITY FOR THE UNLAWFUL USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE ECONOMY
The rapid development and widespread deployment of artificial intelligence outpace existing legislation and give rise to new legal challenges. This results in regulatory gaps across various sectors, including healthcare, transport, intellectual property, etc. In particular, uncertainty persists regarding the grounds for and subjects of civil liability for harm caused by the unlawful use of AI in the economic sphere. The objective of this study is to analyze possible models of civil liability for the use of AI in the economy. The research methodology included desk-based analysis of Russian and other legal sources, theoretical synthesis of the results, and an expert survey involving 41 specialists. Thus, a classification of civil liability models for the use of AI in the economy is proposed with due regard to the autonomy of AI systems and the fundamental principles of liability. Three core models are identified: the fault-based model, which treats AI as a tool; the risk-based model, which applies a liability regime for hazardous products; and the vicarious liability model, which attributes responsibility to the AI owner for the actions of an autonomous system. Expert assessment indicates that models grounded in the principle of risk and the vicarious liability model are the most preferable. It is also established that the main subject of liability is the person who commits unlawful acts using AI and gets benefit from them. Where many persons are involved, liability is joint and several, which necessitates the further improvement of legislation
CLUSTERING OF RUSSIAN REGIONS BY SOCIALLY IMPORTANT INDICATORS OF TRADE DEVELOPMENT
The article aims at forming clusters of Russian regions based on socially significant indicators of trade development. Clustering was conducted using the k-means method based on statistical data from 85 regions. As a result, five clusters were identified. The first cluster is characterized by a high share of chain retail turnover in the total retail trade volume. The second cluster shows no extreme values and is defined as average. The third cluster stands out for its well-developed market and fair trade. The distinctive feature of the fourth cluster is high consumer prices. The fifth cluster is marked by many retail facilities. In the context of fulfilling the social functions of trade, the most challenging is the fourth cluster, which includes four regions in the Far Eastern Federal District. To increase the social impact of trade in this cluster, it is advisable to develop foreign trade with neighboring Asian countries, including China, and to promote the expansion of Russian and cross-border e-commerce. The value of the results lies in the fact that clustering based on indicators reflecting the social significance of trade enables the adaptation of trade development policies to the specific characteristics of each region. This will contribute to a more comprehensive realization of trade’s social functions and help mitigate regional socioeconomic disparities
SUSTAINABLE GOVERNANCE OF CULTURAL LANDSCAPES: EVOLUTION AND POLICY TRENDS OF LANDSCAPE GENE CONSERVATION IN CHINA (2003–2025)
Objective: From the perspective of sustainable governance, this study explores the evolutionary trajectory of "landscape gene" research in China to understand how policy frameworks and legal instruments shape the preservation of traditional settlements. Methods: Utilizing bibliometric tool CiteSpace , a quantitative analysis was conducted on literature from the CNKI database (2003–2025), focusing on the intersection of heritage conservation, environmental law, and digital governance. Results: The research reveals that landscape gene studies in China have evolved through three logical dimensions: theoretical ontology construction, multi-scale empirical verification, and methodological innovation driven by strategic policy responses. Since 2017, the field has entered a phase of intensive growth, shifting from qualitative descriptions to digital and intelligent integration. Conclusion: The evolution of landscape gene research is deeply intertwined with China’s national strategies, such as "Rural Revitalization" and the "Protection of Traditional Villages," reflecting a transition from spontaneous academic interest to a policy-led governance model. To enhance the sustainable development of cultural landscapes, future research must further integrate legal-spatial frameworks with digital technology, ensuring that heritage conservation is supported by robust institutional mechanisms and internationalized theoretical standards

FAMILY UPBRINGING PRACTICES OF NOMADIC MONGOLIANS: TRADITION AND MODERNITY
This study examines the ways in which traditional family upbringing practices of nomadic Mongolians have been preserved and transformed in contemporary society, drawing on empirical data collected from parents. It focuses on the interplay between educational values rooted in nomadic culture and modern parenting practices adopted by today’s families. A mixed-methods research design was employed, integrating historical and logical analysis of traditional family upbringing with a quantitative survey of contemporary parenting styles. The empirical component involved 850 parents and utilized a standardized questionnaire based on the parenting style framework proposed by Baumrind and further developed by Maccoby and Martin, which classifies parenting into four types: authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, and uninvolved. Parenting style is conceptualized as parents’ general attitudes, emotional orientations, and habitual behaviors in interactions with their children (Darling & Steinberg, 1993). The findings reveal both continuity and change in nomadic Mongolian family upbringing, demonstrating the coexistence of enduring traditional values and modern parenting approaches. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of cultural adaptation in family upbringing within a rapidly changing social context
REACTIVE PARTICIPATORY CULTURE AND FAN REWRITING: GAME OF THRONES AND THE CONTESTATION OF NARRATIVE AUTHORITY
With the rapid advancement of digital technologies, the media landscape has undergone a profound transformation, shifting audiences from passive receivers to active users who can influence media content. This transformation has fostered participatory culture, enabling individuals to intervene in media production processes, generate content, and reconfigure existing narratives. This study examines the impact of participatory culture through the controversial final season of Game of Thrones, focusing on audience reactions, alternative narratives, and creative productions emerging across digital platforms. The study analyzes the fan-produced alternative final season created by Daniel Whidden, which emerged in response to widespread dissatisfaction with the official ending. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the analysis compares the official and alternative narratives by examining narrative coherence and character motivation. In addition, analytical discussions published on TheRinger.com and user ratings from IMDb are incorporated as supportive indicators to contextualize patterns of audience dissatisfaction. This study contributes to participatory culture literature by conceptualizing fan-produced alternative narratives not merely as forms of creative participation, but as manifestations of reactive participatory culture, in which dissatisfaction is transformed into cultural production. Rather than framing audience intervention solely as production-oriented activity, the study situates it at the level of narrative legitimacy and the negotiation of story ownership. The findings demonstrate that media content is no longer consumed unidirectionally but is actively reshaped through audience participation, offering a conceptual foundation for future research on narrative authority in digital media environments
