    Get PDF
Zakat, as one of the pillars of Islam, serves not only as a religious obligation but also as a socio-economic instrument with significant potential to contribute to sustainable development. This study applies a meta-analytic approach to evaluate the role of zakat in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in poverty reduction (SDG 1) and social empowerment (SDGs 4, 5, 8, 10, and 16). A systematic review of 45 empirical studies published between 2000 and 2025 was conducted, covering diverse regions such as Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Effect sizes were extracted and analyzed to synthesize evidence on zakat’s impact on income, consumption, education, health, entrepreneurship, and social participation. The findings indicate that zakat reduces poverty incidence by 20–25% on average, improves access to basic services, and strengthens empowerment, especially through productive zakat programs. Variations across regions were observed, with centralized and transparent zakat systems in Indonesia and Malaysia yielding stronger outcomes compared to fragmented systems in Sudan and Pakistan. Furthermore, digital innovation and integration with national welfare programs emerged as key drivers of effectiveness. Robustness tests confirmed the reliability of the results, with no significant publication bias detected. Overall, zakat proves to be a transformative mechanism that aligns with global development goals, offering both immediate relief and long-term empowerment for Muslim societies

    Get PDF
Background: Bilateral traumatic hip dislocation is a rare and severe orthopedic injury that is typically associated with high-energy trauma. Asymmetric bilateral dislocations are particularly uncommon and may pose diagnostic challenges, especially when presentation or evaluation is delayed. Case Presentation: We report the case of a patient who sustained asymmetric bilateral traumatic hip dislocation following a high-energy road traffic accident. The patient presented with severe bilateral hip pain and inability to bear weight. Due to delayed diagnosis, orthopedic evaluation occurred more than nine hours after presentation. Imaging revealed anterior dislocation of the right hip and posterior dislocation of the left hip. Closed reduction of both hips was successfully performed under conscious sedation. On examination, the patient demonstrated left-sided foot drop consistent with sciatic nerve involvement. Post-reduction imaging confirmed concentric reduction of both hips. Conclusion: This case highlights the diagnostic challenges associated with asymmetric bilateral traumatic hip dislocation and underscores the importance of early recognition, comprehensive trauma assessment, and timely reduction to minimize complications such as avascular necrosis and neurological injury. Reporting such rare presentations contributes to increased clinical awareness and reinforces key principles in the management of traumatic hip dislocations

    Get PDF
Consumer reluctance to repurchase branded fashion products remains a critical challenge for manufacturers, prompting the need for effective strategies to strengthen repurchase intention. This study investigates the influence of Social Media Marketing, Celebrity Endorsement, and Perceived Risk on Repurchase Intention, with Trust serving as a mediating variable among branded fashion consumers in Surabaya. Using a causal research design, data were collected from 210 respondents through accidental sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The findings reveal that Social Media Marketing has a significant positive effect on Trust, whereas Celebrity Endorsement and Perceived Risk exert significant negative influences on Trust. Additionally, Celebrity Endorsement, Perceived Risk, and Trust positively and significantly affect Repurchase Intention, while Social Media Marketing unexpectedly shows a significant negative impact on Repurchase Intention. Further analysis indicates that Trust mediates the relationship between Social Media Marketing and Repurchase Intention in a positive manner, yet Trust demonstrates a negative mediating effect on the relationships between Celebrity Endorsement and Perceived Risk toward Repurchase Intention. Overall, these results highlight the complex interplay between digital marketing strategies, consumer perceptions, and trust formation in shaping repurchase intentions within the branded fashion industry

Today’s football players are no longer merely athletes but strategically constructed personal brands that generate substantial social and economic value. In the digital era, social media plays a pivotal role in this process by enabling direct interaction with fans while offering sponsors and brand partners an authentic channel to reach target audiences. Despite the growing relevance of athlete brand building, insights into the strategic mechanisms shaping footballers’ personal brands remain limited, particularly in smaller European football markets. This study examines how football players evolve into successful star brands, which strategic and tactical tools contribute to this process, and how digital presence influences reputation and market value. The research is grounded in the Model of Athlete Brand Image and the Athlete Brand Authenticity Model, providing a structured framework for analysing footballers as market actors. Using a qualitative research design, the study draws on in-depth expert interviews with sports marketing professionals, player agents, sponsorship managers, and social media strategists. The analysis includes perspectives related to the Hungarian football context, while also incorporating international examples discussed by the interviewees. The findings indicate that both on-field performance and off-field activities play a central role in athlete brand building. While consistent sporting performance primarily reinforces perceived authenticity and credibility, off-field activities and digital communication contribute to shaping visibility and audience engagement. These dynamics are particularly relevant for footballers operating in smaller markets such as Hungary, where brand-building opportunities are more limited compared to footballers playing in top European leagues and for strong national teams

POSSESSORY LIENS UNDER VIETNAMESE LAW: LEGAL STRUCTURE, EFFECTIVENESS, AND COMPARATIVE PERSPECTIVES

    Get PDF
This article examines possessory liens under Vietnamese law from a property-based perspective, with a particular focus on the legal structure and effectiveness of this institution within the secured transactions framework. In Vietnam, possessory liens operate as an implicit form of property-based security arising from possession, yet they lack clear normative recognition with respect to their publicity effects and certain proprietary attributes of secured interests. Employing doctrinal legal analysis combined with comparative legal methodology, the article evaluates Vietnamese regulations in light of selected foreign legal systems, notably China and the United States. The study clarifies the structural characteristics of possessory liens and identifies key normative gaps in the current Vietnamese legal framework. On that basis, it proposes targeted legislative recommendations aimed at strengthening the regulation of possessory liens and enhancing their practical effectiveness in commercial practice

    Get PDF
This paper summarizes the hydrological modeling research results of the national CPR flood project developed by the National Center for Cartography and Remote Sensing to create a warning system for predicting and combating future floods. The watershed studied is located in northwest Tunisia, characterized by an elongated shape and bordered on one side by high reliefs that favor the convergence of flowing streams towards the Medjerdawadi. In terms of pedology, the soil texture is mainly characterized by a dominance of complex soil units and poorly evolved alluvial deposits. Following the flooding phenomenon that affected several towns around the Medjerda during the last century, our study aimed to map and delineate risk areas using hydraulic modeling methods. Flood risk analysis is performed using the HEC-RAS 2D hydraulic model and geographic information systems (GIS), based on several rainfall events. The exceptional floods that occurred in 2003, 2012, and 2015 brought a very large volume of water upstream of the Sidi Salem dam. Inflows from the intermediate basins on both banks, as well as the volumes released from the Mellègue and Bouhertma dams, caused spectacular flooding along the region between Ghardimaou and the Sidi Salem dam. We focused on very high-risk areas located in sectors with medium or low slopes, with varying degrees of cover. The "floodability" method is used to quantify vulnerability. Finally, risk mapping is obtained by cross-referencing the flood hazard map and the vulnerability map of the exposed issues. The aim was to determine the extent of the flooding and identify flood-prone areas. The mapping results enabled the identification of areas affected by flooding during the February 2015 flood. The flooded areas are located mainly in the town of Jendouba

    Get PDF
