PEMBUATAN DESAIN DAN PEMBUATAN PRODUK FURNITUR SEBAGAI PENUNJANG AKTIVITAS BAGI PENYANDANG DISABILITAS FISIK
The Special Education Foundation (YPK) has been committed since 2001 to filling the gap in health and rehabilitation services for people with disabilities in Bali. Through the development of its services, YPK not only focuses on physical and psychological health aspects but also expands its scope into education as part of efforts to create a more inclusive environment for people with disabilities. In facing challenges in providing facilities and equipment to support rehabilitation activities—particularly the need for specially designed furniture—YPK recognizes the importance of collaboration with academia, especially with Warmadewa University. This community service activity focuses on the significance of such collaboration in developing ergonomic, accessible, and aesthetic furniture design solutions. Special furniture such as walkers, support chairs, and support tables play a vital role in fostering independence and improving the quality of life of YPK service recipients. Through this collaboration, it is expected that innovations in furniture design will emerge that not only meet functional needs but also take into account ergonomic and aesthetic aspects, in line with the principles of inclusive education. This community service activity explores how academic insights in design and ergonomics can make significant contributions to creating sustainable and effective solutions, reinforcing the importance of cooperation between the non-profit and academic sectors in addressing social challenges. The outcomes of this collaboration are expected not only to strengthen the supporting infrastructure at YPK but also to serve as a model for similar initiatives focusing on disability community services

The Effects of Corporate Social Responsibility on Firm Performance: The Moderating Roles of Firm Innovation Among Manufacturing Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange
This study aims to examine the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on firm performance with innovation as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016–2021. CSR is measured based on disclosure according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, while firm performance is assessed through Return on Assets (ROA). Firm innovation is measured using the ratio between R&D expenditure and total sales. The multiple regression analysis method is used to test three hypotheses. The results show that CSR has no significant effect on firm performance, but innovation has a positive and significant impact. When moderated by innovation, CSR positively affects firm performance, indicating that innovation strengthens the effectiveness of CSR. The control variable firm age is not significant, while size and firm growth positively influence firm performance. This study provides important insights into the relationship between CSR, innovation, and firm performance in the Indonesian manufacturing sector, as well as implications for executives, policymakers, and researchers in maximizing firm performance through the integration of CSR and innovation in developing countrie
Advancing Tourism Support in Emerging Destinations: Quality of Life as a Mediator in Emotional Solidarity Dynamics
This study examines the influence of emotional solidarity and quality of life on residents’ support for tourism development in Ternate, Indonesia, an emerging destination with tourism infrastructure constraints, utilizing Social Exchange Theory (SET) as a theoretical framework. Data from 416 residents, collected through a carefully crafted survey, were analyzed using structural equation modeling to assess the interplay among Welcoming Nature, Emotional Closeness, Sympathetic Understanding, Quality of Life, and Support for Tourism. Findings reveal that Welcoming Nature and Emotional Closeness significantly enhance Quality of Life and tourism support, with Quality of Life partially mediating these effects. Sympathetic Understanding, however, has minimal impact due to limited resident-tourist interactions. By advancing emotional solidarity and Social Exchange Theory, this study highlights the critical role of affective factors in emerging tourism contexts. The cross-sectional design limits insights into temporal trends, necessitating longitudinal research, while comparative studies are essential to test generalizability. The study suggest that improving infrastructure and promoting community-based festivals can foster sustainable tourism by enhancing resident-tourist interactions and quality of life. Policymakers and tourism planners should prioritize community engagement to ensure equitable tourism development. This research offers a novel application of emotional solidarity and SET in an underexplored emerging destination, emphasizing the mediating role of quality of life and the limited influence of Sympathetic Understanding in contexts with constrained resident-tourist interaction
