Caffeine supplementation in the sport of futsal: How does it impact athletes’ endurance and speed?
No full textEndurance and speed are important components in supporting the success of futsal athletes. To increase this ability, many things can be done, one of which is to provide caffeine before exercising for maximum results. This study aims to determine the effect of caffeine on the endurance and speed of futsal athletes in Mataram. The research used is the type of experiment. In this study, the instrument for measuring endurance is the bleep test, while the speed is measured using the 100-meter sprint. This study is a population study because all populations are the research sample. The entire population is used in this study because all 16 samples are national athletes in the Vamos Mataram futsal group, and the research focuses on that one elite club. Data analysis was carried out using ANOVA with the help of SPSS. Based on the results of the data analysis of the futsal athletes of Vamos FC Mataram with the administration of caffeine, the significance value for endurance was 0.000 and the significance value for speed was 0.038. Based on the results of the significance test for the two variables having a value lower than 0.05, the data stated that there was an impact caused by caffeine administration to increase endurance and speed. The research has limitations, namely only focusing on one elite futsal club, namely Vamos Mataram, but the results are expected to be able to refer to the use of caffeine in an exercise program to be able to improve endurance and speed. Further research is expected to be able to cover more than one club as well as the addition of variables
Why do female athletes face harassment and bullying? A mixed-methods study
No full textThe phenomenon of escalating harassment and bullying of female athletes in sports demonstrates that there is a gap and urgency for further scrutiny. This study aims to reveal harassment and bullying cases against female athletes in sports. This study applied a mixed method. Participants in this study were athletes in several sports organizations at the University of Islam 45 Bekasi (n = 30). A questionnaire was used as the quantitative research instrument to measure harassment and bullying in athletes, while in-depth interviews were used as the qualitative research instrument. Quantitative statistical analysis used IBM SPSS to find frequency and percentage, and qualitative analysis used thematic analysis. The quantitative research results significantly proved that all participants often experience harassment and bullying, with the highest rate occurring in gymnastics, swimming, volleyball, and soccer. While the results of the qualitative research showed that all participants had experiences or stories about harassment and bullying, the causal factors included the conditions of the training environment, athletes' clothes, attitudes, and the knowledge of coaches and athletes. In addition, participants stated that harassment and bullying negatively impact their health and psychological aspects. As a result, we emphasize that incidents of harassment and bullying occur frequently in female athletes while they are participating in sports. It is expected that this research could provide information and understanding to all sports practitioners in Indonesia and all countries in the world that harassment and bullying are very dangerous and immoral and must be handled as soon as possible by providing strict rules
Cognitive Strategy Use dan Perbedaan Jenis Kelamin pada Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama
Get PDFSetelah melalui proses pembelajaran secara daring, siswa SMP saat ini tengah menikmati proses pembelajaran secara tatap muka. Siswa SMP menerapkan cognitive use strategy (e.g., rehearsal, elaboration, dan organization) untuk memahami materi yang diperoleh di kelas. Di sisi lain, beberapa penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan siswa laki-laki dan perempuan dalam menerapkan cognitive use strategy. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan jenis kelamin dalam menerapkan cognitive use strategy pada siswa SMP di Jakarta. Penelitian ini melibatkan (n = 128) dengan menerapkan desain penelitian kuantitatif. Analisis independent sample t-test menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan untuk jenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan pada cognitive use strategy dengan t (126) = 2,38, p = 0,019. Secara spesifik, siswa perempuan (M = 3,04; SD = 0,33) lebih sering menerapkan cognitive strategy use dibandingkan siswa laki-laki (M = 2,90; SD = 0,34). Hasil penelitian ini menjadi dasar untuk melakukan intervensi psikologi bidang psikologi Pendidikan untuk meningkatkan self-regulated learning siswa dengan memperhatikan cognitive use strategy pada siswa laki-laki dan perempuan
Spirituality and Psychological Well-Being of Students Affected by Pandemic Covid-19 in Banda Aceh
Get PDFSpirituality is an attitude that reflects the spirit of religiosity and religion. Spirituality includes many special things such as admiration, gratitude, feelings of love, compassion, and the desire to be close to God. One of the factors that influence spirituality is psychological well-being. This study aims to determine the relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being of UIN Ar-Raniry students. This study uses a quantitative approach with the correlational method. The Sampling was carried out using a proportionate stritified random sampling technique of 342 students at UIN Arraniry, Banda Aceh. Data was collected using two questionnaires, (1)Spirituality Scale which was made based on aspects of Underwood (2006) with a reliability result of α = 0.929, and (2) Psychological Well-Being Scale which was made based on aspects of Ryff (1989) ) with a reliability result of α = 0.927. The data analysis used in this study is the Spearman Rank correlation which shows that there is a relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being, with an r2 value of 0.577, with p = 0.000 (<0.05), which indicates that there is a very significant positive relationship between spirituality with psychological well-being in UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh students affected by Covid-1
Dinamika Self-Compassion Pada Mahasiswa Tingkat Akhir Aktivis Organisasi Ikatan Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau
Get PDFSelf-Compassion adalah sikap kasih sayang kepada diri sendiri saat menghadapi kesulitan, pemahaman bahwa kesulitan dan ketidaksempurnaan adalah bagian hidup setiap manusia, kemampuan individu untuk memahami emosi yang dirasakan, pendekatan yang logis dan introspeksi diri ketika dihadapkan pada sebuah permasalahan. Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai dinamika Self-Compassion pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir aktivis organisasi Ikatan Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah (IMM) di Universitas Muhammadiyah Riau. Jenis penelitian kualitatif yang digunakan adalah fenomenologi dan naratif. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara semi-terstruktur dan observasi non-partisipan. Subjek terdiri dari lima orang yang diambil berdasarkan kriteria yaitu mahasiswa semester akhir dan aktivis organisasi Ikatan Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah UMRI. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan, mahasiswa tingkata akhir aktivis organisasi Ikatan Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah UMRI memiliki Self-Compassion, yang ditunjukkan dengan sikap Self-Kindness, Common Humanity, dan Mindfulness. Faktor-faktor terbentuknya Self-Compassion pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir aktivis organisasi Ikatan Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah UMRI adalah motivasi, religiulitas, dan lingkungan.

Get PDFIn a collection of Riau folklore, the author found that there is context in the form of setting, participants, results, mandate, methods, means, norms, and types in each story so that it makes the story interesting to read. The problem examined in this study is how is the context of the discourse in the Riau folklore book published by the Riau Province Education and Culture Office? This study aims to describe, analyze, and conclude the elements of the discourse context in Riau folklore books published by the Riau Province Education and Culture Office. The theory used in this study is the theory of Djajasudarma (2012), Darma (2014) and other supporting theories. The method in this study used descriptive methods, the approach used in this study was qualitative research and the type of research used was library research. Data collection techniques used are documentation techniques, hermeneutic techniques, and note-taking techniques. The results of this study found eight elements of the discourse context, namely elements (1) Setting and scene (2) Participants (3) Results (ends) (4) Message (5) Method (key) (6) Means (instrument) (7) Norms (norms) (8) Type (genre). Based on the analysis of the discourse context, it can be concluded that the data in the collection of Riau folklore books totals 222 data and all of these contextual data are the most important elements in building the story

The term "descriptive" is one of the characteristics of qualitative research. Therefore, this research is also called qualitative research, whose characteristics appear in the description of the research data, data collection, data analysis, and presentation of the results of data analysis. The data collection technique in this study is the data collection technique is the main step in conducting this research, because the main purpose of this research is to obtain data. The techniques used to obtain data in this study are documentation techniques. agendas and so on. The data that the author obtained were 30 data from the Tribun Pekanbaru Newspaper. Hermeneutic techniques are techniques of reading, noting, and summarizing. The author does this technique with the aim of getting the data that is examined. Here, the author first reads the newspapers contained in the Pekanbaru Tribune newspaper, then records the words included in the types of headlines in the editorial. The purpose of this study is to describe the illocutionary speech acts contained in the Democracy Notes Program on Tv One. The approach in this research is a qualitative approach with content analysis method. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there were 150 data containing illocutionary speech acts. Then from the five forms of illocutionary speech acts the writer only found four illocutionary speech acts, namely, assertive, directive, commissive, and expressive. Assertive speech acts were found in 106 speech data. Directive illocutionary speech acts found 30 speech data. There are 3 commissive illocutionary speech acts in data, and 11 utterances found in expressive illocutionary speech acts. While declarative illocutionary speech acts were not found

Get PDFThe purpose of this research is to analyze and describe data on Islamic religious values in the novel Hijab For Sisters. The theory used in this study is the theory of Islamic Religious Education Based on Character Education by Wiyani. The research method uses descriptive method. The approach used is a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used by the author is the hermeneutic technique, namely reading, recording, and concluding. The results of this study contained 3 concepts of Islamic religious values in the novel Hijab for Sisters by Triani Retno. Includes: (1) Aqidah, can be seen from the character's belief that Allah SWT knows what is good and bad and believes in the most effective prayer to ask Allah SWT. (2) Shari'ah, can be seen from the traditional belief in the teachings contained in Islam. (3) Morals, can be seen from the behavior of the characters who always respect those who are older than them and give advice to people who make mistakes. Morals are mostly conveyed by the author in the novel because this novel tells about the life of Islamic boarding school children who have a positive influence on the Islamic boarding school environment, not only within the Islamic boarding school environment but also carried into the community environment
